사무엘하(2 Samuel) 18장 [개역한글 : RV1909 : NIV]

1. 이에 다윗이 그 함께한 百姓(백성)을 計數(계수)하고 千夫長(천부장)과 百夫長(백부장)을 그 위에 세우고
   
2. 그 百姓(백성)을 내어 보낼새 三分之(삼분지) 一(일)은 요압의 手下(수하)에, 三分之(삼분지) 一(일)은 스루야의 아들 요압의 同生(동생) 아비새의 手下(수하)에 붙이고, 三分之(삼분지) 一(일)은 가드 사람 ^ㅓ잇대의 手下(수하)에 붙이고 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 나도 반드시 너희와 함께 나가리라
   
3. ^ㅕ百姓(백성)들이 가로되 王(왕)은 나가지 마소서 우리가 逃亡(도망)할지라도 저희는 우리에게 注意(주의)하지 아니할 터이요 우리가 折半(절반)이나 죽을지라도 우리에게 注意(주의)하지 아니할 터이라 王(왕)은 우리 萬名(만명)보다 重(중)하시오니 王(왕)은 城(성)에 계시다가 우리를 도우심이 좋으니이다
   
4. 王(왕)이 저희에게 이르되 너희가 善(선)히 여기는대로 내가 行(행)하리라 하고 門(문) 곁에 서매 모든 百姓(백성)이 百名(백명)씩 千名(천명)씩 隊(대)를 지어 나가는지라
   
5. 王(왕)이 요압과 아비새와 잇대에게 命(명)하여 가로되 나를 爲(위)하여 少年(소년) 압살롬을 너그러이 待接(대접)하라 하니 王(왕)이 압살롬을 爲(위)하여 모든 軍長(군장)에게 命令(명령)할 때에 ^ㅗ百姓(백성)들이 다 들으니라
   

1. DAVID pues revistó el pueblo que tenía "consigo," y puso sobre ellos tribunos y centuriones.
   
2. Y consignó la tercera parte del pueblo al mando de "Joab," y otra tercera al mando de "Abisai," hijo de "Sarvia," hermano de "Joab," y la otra tercera parte al mando de Ittai Getheo. Y dijo el rey al pueblo: Yo también saldré con vosotros.
   
3. Mas el pueblo dijo: No saldrás; porque si nosotros "huyéremos," no harán caso de nosotros; y aunque la mitad de nosotros "muera," no harán caso de nosotros: mas tú ahora vales tanto como diez mil de nosotros. Será pues mejor que tú nos des ayuda desde la ciudad.
   
4. Entonces el rey les dijo: Yo haré lo que bien os pareciere. Y púsose el rey á la entrada de la "puerta," mientras salía todo el pueblo de ciento en ciento y de mil en mil.
   
5. Y el rey mandó á Joab y á Abisai y á "Ittai," diciendo: Tratad benignamente por amor de mí al mozo Absalom. Y todo el pueblo oyó cuando dió el rey orden acerca de Absalom á todos los capitanes.
   

1. David mustered the men who were with him and appointed over them commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds.
   
2. David sent the troops out--a third under the command of Joab, a third under Joab's brother Abishai son of Zeruiah, and a third under Ittai the Gittite. The king told the troops, "I myself will surely march out with you."
   
3. But the men said, "You must not go out; if we are forced to flee, they won't care about us. Even if half of us die, they won't care; but you are worth ten thousand of us. It would be better now for you to give us support from the city."
   
4. The king answered, "I will do whatever seems best to you." So the king stood beside the gate while all the men marched out in units of hundreds and of thousands.
   
5. The king commanded Joab, Abishai and Ittai, "Be gentle with the young man Absalom for my sake." And all the troops heard the king giving orders concerning Absalom to each of the commanders.
   

6. 이에 百姓(백성)이 이스라엘을 치러 들로 나가서 ^ㅛ에브라임 수풀에서 싸우더니
   
7. 거기서 이스라엘 무리가 다윗의 心腹(심복)들에게 敗(패)하매 그날 그곳에서 殺戮(살륙)이 커서 二萬(이만)에 이르렀고
   
8. 그 땅에서 四面(사면)으로 퍼져 싸웠으므로 그 날에 수풀에서 죽은 者(자)가 칼에 죽은 者(자)보다 많았더라
   
9. 압살롬이 다윗의 信服(신복)과 마주치니라 압살롬이 노새를 탔는데 그 노새가 큰 상수리나무 蕃盛(번성)한 가지 아래로 지날 때에 ^ㅜ압살롬의 머리털이 그 상수리나무에 걸리매 저가 空中(공중)에 달리고 그 탔던 노새는 그 아래로 빠져 나간지라
   
10. 한 사람이 보고 요압에게 告(고)하여 가로되 내가 보니 압살롬이 상수리나무에 달렸더이다
    

6. Salió pues el pueblo al campo contra "Israel," y dióse la batalla en el bosque de Ephraim;
   
7. Y allí cayó el pueblo de Israel delante de los siervos de "David," é hízose una gran matanza de veinte mil hombres.
   
8. Y derramándose allí el ejército por la haz de toda la "tierra," fueron más los que consumió el bosque de los del "pueblo," que los que consumió el cuchillo aquel día.
   
9. Y encontróse Absalom con los siervos de David: é iba Absalom sobre un "mulo," y el mulo se entró debajo de un espeso y grande "alcornoque," y asiósele la cabeza al "alcornoque," y quedó entre el cielo y la tierra; pues el mulo en que iba pasó delante.
   
10. Y viéndolo "uno," avisó á "Joab," diciendo: He aquí que he visto á Absalom colgado de un alcornoque.
    

6. The army marched into the field to fight Israel, and the battle took place in the forest of Ephraim.
   
7. There the army of Israel was defeated by David's men, and the casualties that day were great--twenty thousand men.
   
8. The battle spread out over the whole countryside, and the forest claimed more lives that day than the sword.
   
9. Now Absalom happened to meet David's men. He was riding his mule, and as the mule went under the thick branches of a large oak, Absalom's head got caught in the tree. He was left hanging in midair, while the mule he was riding kept on going.
   
10. When one of the men saw this, he told Joab, "I just saw Absalom hanging in an oak tree."
    

11. 요압이 그 告(고)한 사람에게 이르되 네가 보고 어찌하여 當場(당장)에 쳐서 땅에 떨어뜨리지 아니하였느뇨 내가 네게 銀(은) 열箇(개)와 띠 하나를 주었으리라
    
12. 그 사람이 요압에게 對答(대답)하되 내가 내 손에 銀(은) 千箇(천개)를 받는다 할지라도 나는 王(왕)의 아들에게 손을 대지 아니하겠나이다 ^ㅠ우리가 들었거니와 王(왕)이 當身(당신)과 아비새와 잇대에게 命(명)하여 이르시기를 삼가 누구든지 少年(소년) 압살롬을 害(해)하지 말라 하셨나이다
    
13. 아무 일도 王(왕) 앞에는 숨길 수 없나니 내가 萬一(만일) 拒逆(거역)하여 그 生命(생명)을 害(해)하였다면 當身(당신)도 나를 對敵(대적)하였으리이다
    
14. 요압이 가로되 나는 너와 같이 遲滯(지체)할 수 없다 하고 손에 작은 槍(창) 셋을 가지고 가서 상수리나무 가운데서 아직 살아 있는 압살롬의 心臟(심장)을 찌르니
    
15. 요압의 兵器(병기)를 맡은 少年(소년) 열이 압살롬을 에워싸고 쳐죽이니라
    

11. Y Joab respondió al hombre que le daba la nueva: Y viéndolo "tú," ¿por qué no le heriste luego allí echándole á tierra? y sobre "mí," que te hubiera dado diez siclos de "plata," y un talabarte.
    
12. Y el hombre dijo á Joab: Aunque me importara en mis manos mil siclos de "plata," no extendiera yo mi mano contra el hijo del rey; porque nosotros lo oímos cuando el rey te mandó á ti y á Abisai y á "Ittai," diciendo: Mirad que ninguno toque en el joven Absalom.
    
13. Por otra "parte," habría yo hecho traición contra mi vida (pues que al rey nada se le "esconde)," y tú mismo estarías en contra.
    
14. Y respondió Joab: No es razón que yo te ruegue. Y tomando tres dardos en sus "manos," hincólos en el corazón de "Absalom," que aun estaba vivo en medio del alcornoque.
    
15. Cercándolo luego diez mancebos escuderos de "Joab," hirieron á "Absalom," y acabáronle.
    

11. Joab said to the man who had told him this, "What! You saw him? Why didn't you strike him to the ground right there? Then I would have had to give you ten shekels of silver and a warrior's belt."
    
12. But the man replied, "Even if a thousand shekels were weighed out into my hands, I would not lift my hand against the king's son. In our hearing the king commanded you and Abishai and Ittai, 'Protect the young man Absalom for my sake.'
    
13. And if I had put my life in jeopardy--and nothing is hidden from the king--you would have kept your distance from me."
    
14. Joab said, "I'm not going to wait like this for you." So he took three javelins in his hand and plunged them into Absalom's heart while Absalom was still alive in the oak tree.
    
15. And ten of Joab's armor-bearers surrounded Absalom, struck him and killed him.
    

16. 요압이 나팔을 불어 百姓(백성)들로 그치게 하니 저희가 이스라엘을 따르지 아니하고 돌아오니라
    
17. 무리가 압살롬을 옮겨다가 수풀 가운데 큰 구멍에 던지고 그 위에 ^으甚(심)히 큰 돌무더기를 쌓으니라 온 이스라엘 무리가 各其(각기) ^이帳幕(장막)으로 逃亡(도망)하니라
    
18. 압살롬이 살았을 때에 自己(자기)를 爲(위)하여 ^ㅐ한 碑石(비석)을 가져 세웠으니 이는 저가 ^ㄱ自己(자기) 이름을 傳(전)할 아들이 없음을 恨歎(한탄)함이라 그러므로 自己(자기) 이름으로 그 碑石(비석)을 이름하였으며 그 碑石(비석)이 ^ㄴ王(왕)의 골짜기에 있고 이제까지 압살롬의 記念碑(기념비)라 일컫더라
    
19. 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 가로되 ^ㄷ請(청)컨대 나로 빨리 王(왕)에게 가서 ^ㄹ여호와께서 王(왕)의 怨讐(원수) 갚아 주신 消息(소식)을 傳(전)하게 하소서
    
20. 요압이 저에게 이르되 너는 오늘 消息(소식)을 傳(전)하는 者(자)가 되지 말고 다른 날에 傳(전)할 것이니라 王(왕)의 아들이 죽었나니 네가 오늘날 消息(소식)을 傳(전)하지 못하리라 하고
    

16. Entonces Joab tocó la "corneta," y el pueblo se volvió de seguir á "Israel," porque Joab detuvo al pueblo.
    
17. Tomando después á "Absalom," echáronle en un gran hoyo en el "bosque," y levantaron sobre él un muy grande montón de piedras; y todo Israel "huyó," cada uno á sus estancias.
    
18. Y había Absalom en su vida tomado y levantádose una "columna," la cual está en el valle del rey; porque había dicho: Yo no tengo hijo que conserve la memoria de mi nombre. Y llamó aquella columna de su nombre: y así se llamó el Lugar de "Absalom," hasta hoy.
    
19. Entonces Ahimaas hijo de Sadoc dijo: ¿Correré "ahora," y daré las nuevas al rey de cómo Jehová ha defendido su causa de la mano de sus enemigos?
    
20. Y respondió Joab: Hoy no llevarás las nuevas: las llevarás otro día: no darás hoy la "nueva," porque el hijo del rey es muerto.
    

16. Then Joab sounded the trumpet, and the troops stopped pursuing Israel, for Joab halted them.
    
17. They took Absalom, threw him into a big pit in the forest and piled up a large heap of rocks over him. Meanwhile, all the Israelites fled to their homes.
    
18. During his lifetime Absalom had taken a pillar and erected it in the King's Valley as a monument to himself, for he thought, "I have no son to carry on the memory of my name." He named the pillar after himself, and it is called Absalom's Monument to this day.
    
19. Now Ahimaaz son of Zadok said, "Let me run and take the news to the king that the LORD has delivered him from the hand of his enemies."
    
20. "You are not the one to take the news today," Joab told him. "You may take the news another time, but you must not do so today, because the king's son is dead."
    

21. 구스 사람에게 이르되 네가 가서 본 것을 王(왕)께 告(고)하라 하매 구스 사람이 요압에게 절하고 달음질하여 가니
    
22. 사독의 아들 아히마아스가 다시 요압에게 이르되 請(청)컨대 아무쪼록 나로 또한 구스 사람의 뒤를 따라 달음질하게 하소서 요압이 가로되 내 아들아 왜 달음질하려 하느냐 이 消息(소식)으로 因(인)하여는 賞(상)을 받지 못하리라 하되
    
23. 저가 아무쪼록 달음질하겠노라 하는지라 요압이 가로되 그리하라 하니 아히마아스가 ^ㅁ들길로 달음질하여 구스 사람보다 앞서니라
    
24. 때에 다윗이 ^ㅂ두 門(문) 사이에 앉았더라 ^ㅅ把守軍(파수군)이 城門樓(성문루)에 올라가서 눈을 들어 보니 어떤 사람이 홀로 달음질하는지라
    
25. 把守軍(파수군)이 외쳐 王(왕)께 告(고)하매 王(왕)이 가로되 저가 萬一(만일) 혼자면 그 입에 消息(소식)이 있으리라 할 때에 저가 次次(차차) 가까이 오니라
    

21. Y Joab dijo á Cusi: Ve "tú," y di al rey lo que has visto. Y Cusi hizo reverencia á "Joab," y corrió.
    
22. Entonces Ahimaas hijo de Sadoc tornó á decir á Joab: Sea lo que "fuere," yo correré ahora tras Cusi. Y Joab dijo: Hijo "mío," ¿para qué has tú de "correr," pues que no hallarás premio por las nuevas?
    
23. Mas él respondió: Sea lo que "fuere," yo correré. Entonces le dijo: Corre. Corrió pues Ahimaas por el camino de la "llanura," y pasó delante de Cusi.
    
24. Estaba David á la sazón sentado entre las dos puertas; y el atalaya había ido al terrado de sobre la puerta en el "muro," y alzando sus "ojos," "miró," y vió á uno que corría solo.
    
25. El atalaya dió luego "voces," é hízolo saber al rey. Y el rey dijo: Si es "solo," buenas nuevas trae. En tanto que él venía "acercándose,"
    

21. Then Joab said to a Cushite, "Go, tell the king what you have seen." The Cushite bowed down before Joab and ran off.
    
22. Ahimaaz son of Zadok again said to Joab, "Come what may, please let me run behind the Cushite." But Joab replied, "My son, why do you want to go? You don't have any news that will bring you a reward."
    
23. He said, "Come what may, I want to run." So Joab said, "Run!" Then Ahimaaz ran by way of the plain and outran the Cushite.
    
24. While David was sitting between the inner and outer gates, the watchman went up to the roof of the gateway by the wall. As he looked out, he saw a man running alone.
    
25. The watchman called out to the king and reported it. The king said, "If he is alone, he must have good news." And the man came closer and closer.
    

26. 把守軍(파수군)이 본즉 한 사람이 또 달음질하는지라 門(문)지기에게 외쳐 이르되 보라, 한사람이 또 혼자 달음질한다 하니 王(왕)이 가로되 저도 消息(소식)을 가져오느니라
    
27. 把守軍(파수군)이 가로되 나 보기에는 앞선 사람의 달음질이 ^ㅇ사독의 아들 아히마아스의 달음질과 같으니이다 王(왕)이 가로되 ^ㅈ저는 좋은 사람이니 좋은 消息(소식)을 가져 오느니라
    
28. 아히마아스가 외쳐 王(왕)께 말씀하되 平安(평안)하옵소서 하고 王(왕)의 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하여 가로되 ^ㅊ王(왕)의 하나님 여호와를 讚揚(찬양)하리로소이다 그 손을 들어 내 主(주), 王(왕)을 對敵(대적)하는 者(자)들을 붙여 주셨나이다
    
29. 王(왕)이 가로되 ^ㅋ少年(소년) 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 아히마아스가 對答(대답)하되 요압이 王(왕)의 종, 나를 보낼 때에 크게 騷動(소동)하는것을 보았사오나 무슨 일인지 알지 못하였나이다
    
30. 王(왕)이 가로되 물러나 곁에 서 있으라 하매 물러나서 섰더라
    

26. Vió el atalaya otro que corría; y dió voces el atalaya al "portero," diciendo: He aquí otro hombre que corre solo. Y el rey dijo: Este también es mensajero.
    
27. Y el atalaya volvió á decir: Paréceme el correr del primero como el correr de Ahimaas hijo de Sadoc. Y respondió el rey: Ese es hombre de "bien," y viene con buena nueva.
    
28. Entonces Ahimaas dijo en alta voz al rey: Paz. E inclinóse á tierra delante del "rey," y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová Dios "tuyo," que ha entregado á los hombres que habían levantado sus manos contra mi señor el rey.
    
29. Y el rey dijo: ¿El mozo Absalom tiene paz? Y Ahimaas respondió: Vi yo un grande alboroto cuando envió Joab al siervo del rey y á mí tu siervo; mas no sé qué era.
    
30. Y el rey dijo: "Pasa," y ponte allí. Y él "pasó," y paróse.
    

26. Then the watchman saw another man running, and he called down to the gatekeeper, "Look, another man running alone!" The king said, "He must be bringing good news, too."
    
27. The watchman said, "It seems to me that the first one runs like Ahimaaz son of Zadok." "He's a good man," the king said. "He comes with good news."
    
28. Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, "All is well!" He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, "Praise be to the LORD your God! He has delivered up the men who lifted their hands against my lord the king."
    
29. The king asked, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" Ahimaaz answered, "I saw great confusion just as Joab was about to send the king's servant and me, your servant, but I don't know what it was."
    
30. The king said, "Stand aside and wait here." So he stepped aside and stood there.
    

31. 구스 사람이 이르러 告(고)하되 내 主(주), 王(왕)께 報(보)할 消息(소식)이 있나이다 ^ㅌ여호와께서 오늘날 王(왕)을 對敵(대적)하던 모든 怨讐(원수)를 갚으셨나이다
    
32. 王(왕)이 구스 사람에게 묻되 少年(소년) 압살롬이 잘 있느냐 구스 사람이 對答(대답)하되 ^ㅍ내 主(주), 王(왕)의 怨讐(원수)와 일어나서 王(왕)을 對敵(대적)하는 者(자)들은 다 그 少年(소년)과 같이 되기를 願(원)하나이다
    
33. 王(왕)의 마음이 甚(심)히 아파 門樓(문루)로 올라가서 우니라 저가 올라갈 때에 말하기를 ^ㅎ내 아들, 압살롬아 내 아들, 내 아들, 압살롬아 내가 너를 代身(대신)하여 죽었더면, 압살롬 내 아들아 내 아들아 하였더라
    

31. Y luego vino "Cusi," y dijo: Reciba nueva mi señor el "rey," que hoy Jehová ha defendido tu causa de la mano de todos los que se habían levantado contra ti.
    
32. El rey entonces dijo á Cusi: ¿El mozo Absalom tiene paz? Y Cusi respondió: Como aquel mozo sean los enemigos de mi señor el "rey," y todos los que se levantan contra ti para mal.
    
33. Entonces el rey se "turbó," y subióse á la sala de la "puerta," y lloró; y "yendo," decía así: ¡Hijo mío "Absalom," hijo "mío," hijo mío Absalom! ¡Quién me diera que muriera yo en lugar de "ti," "Absalom," hijo "mío," hijo mío!
    

31. Then the Cushite arrived and said, "My lord the king, hear the good news! The LORD has delivered you today from all who rose up against you."
    
32. The king asked the Cushite, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" The Cushite replied, "May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up to harm you be like that young man."
    
33. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you--O Absalom, my son, my son!"
