열왕기상(1 Reyes) 1장 [개역한글 : RV1909 : NIV]

1. 다윗 王(왕)이 나이 많아 늙으니 이불을 덮어도 따뜻하지 아니한지라
   
2. 그 信服(신복)들이 王(왕)께 告(고)하되 우리 主(주) 王(왕)을 爲(위)하여 젊은 處女(처녀) 하나를 求(구)하여 저로 王(왕)을 모셔 奉養(봉양)하고 王(왕)의 품에 누워 우리 主(주), 王(왕)으로 따뜻하시게 하리이다 하고
   
3. 이스라엘 四方(사방) 境內(경내)에 아리따운 童女(동녀)를 求(구)하다가 ^ㄱ수넴 女子(녀자) 아비삭을 얻어 王(왕)께 데려 왔으니
   
4. 이 童女(동녀)는 甚(심)히 아리따운 者(자)라 저가 王(왕)을 奉養(봉양)하며 隧從(수종)하였으나 王(왕)이 더불어 同寢(동침)하지 아니하였더라
   
5. 때에 학깃의 아들 ^ㄴ아도니야가 스스로 높여서 이르기를 내가 王(왕)이 되리라 하고 ^ㄷ自己(자기)를 爲(위)하여 兵車(병거)와 騎兵(기병)과 前倍(전배) 五十人(오십인)을 豫備(예비)하니
   

1. COMO el rey David era "viejo," y entrado en "días," cubríanle de "vestidos," mas no se calentaba.
   
2. Dijéronle por tanto sus siervos: Busquen á mi señor el rey una moza "virgen," para que esté delante del "rey," y lo "abrigue," y duerma á su "lado," y calentará á mi señor el rey.
   
3. Y buscaron una moza hermosa por todo el término de "Israel," y hallaron á Abisag "Sunamita," y trajéronla al rey.
   
4. Y la moza era "hermosa," la cual calentaba al "rey," y le servía: mas el rey nunca la conoció.
   
5. Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith se "levantó," diciendo: Yo reinaré. E hízose de carros y gente de á "caballo," y cincuenta hombres que corriesen delante de él.
   

1. When King David was old and well advanced in years, he could not keep warm even when they put covers over him.
   
2. So his servants said to him, "Let us look for a young virgin to attend the king and take care of him. She can lie beside him so that our lord the king may keep warm."
   
3. Then they searched throughout Israel for a beautiful girl and found Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
   
4. The girl was very beautiful; she took care of the king and waited on him, but the king had no intimate relations with her.
   
5. Now Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, put himself forward and said, "I will be king." So he got chariots and horses ready, with fifty men to run ahead of him.
   

6. Y su padre nunca lo entristeció en todos sus días con decirle: ¿Por qué haces así? Y también éste era de hermoso parecer; y habíalo engendrado después de Absalom.
   
7. Y tenía tratos con Joab hijo de "Sarvia," y con Abiathar "sacerdote," los cuales ayudaban á Adonía.
   
8. Mas Sadoc "sacerdote," y Benaía hijo de "Joiada," y Nathán "profeta," y "Semei," y "Reihi," y todos los grandes de "David," no seguían á Adonía.
   
9. Y matando Adonía ovejas y vacas y animales engordados junto á la peña de "Zoheleth," que está cerca de la fuente de "Rogel," convidó á todos sus hermanos los hijos del "rey," y á todos los varones de "Judá," siervos del rey:
   
10. Mas no convidó á Nathán "profeta," ni á "Benaía," ni á los "grandes," ni á Salomón su hermano.
    

6. (His father had never interfered with him by asking, "Why do you behave as you do?" He was also very handsome and was born next after Absalom.)
   
7. Adonijah conferred with Joab son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar the priest, and they gave him their support.
   
8. But Zadok the priest, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei and Rei and David's special guard did not join Adonijah.
   
9. Adonijah then sacrificed sheep, cattle and fattened calves at the Stone of Zoheleth near En Rogel. He invited all his brothers, the king's sons, and all the men of Judah who were royal officials,
   
10. but he did not invite Nathan the prophet or Benaiah or the special guard or his brother Solomon.
    

11. 나단이 솔로몬의 母親(모친) 밧세바에게 告(고)하여 가로되 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 王(왕)이 됨을 듣지 못하였나이까 우리 主(주) 다윗은 알지 못하시나이다
    
12. 이제 나로 當身(당신)의 生命(생명)과 當身(당신)의 아들 솔로몬의 生命(생명) 救援(구원)할 計巧(계교) 베풀기를 許諾(허락)하소서
    
13. 當身(당신)은 다윗 王(왕) 앞에 들어가서 告(고)하기를 내 主(주) 王(왕)이여, 前(전)에 王(왕)이 계집종에게 盟誓(맹서)하여 이르시기를 ^ㅍ네 아들 솔로몬이 丁寧(정녕) 나를 이어 王(왕)이 되어 내 位(위)에 앉으리라 하지 아니하셨나이까 그런데 아도니야가 무슨 緣故(연고)로 王(왕)이 되었나이까 하소서
    
14. 當身(당신)이 거기서 王(왕)과 말씀할 때에 나도 이어 들어가서 當身(당신)의 말씀을 證據(증거)하리이다
    
15. 밧세바가 이에 침실에 들어가 왕에게 이르니 왕이 심히 늙었으므로 수넴 여자 아비삭이 시종하였더라
    

11. Y habló Nathán á Bath-sheba madre de "Salomón," diciendo: ¿No has oído que reina Adonía hijo de "Haggith," sin saberlo David nuestro señor?
    
12. Ven pues "ahora," y toma mi "consejo," para que guardes tu "vida," y la vida de tu hijo Salomón.
    
13. Ve, y entra al rey "David," y dile: Rey señor "mío," ¿no has tú jurado á tu "sierva," diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de "mí," y él se sentará en mi trono? ¿por qué pues reina Adonía?
    
14. Y estando tú aún hablando con el "rey," yo entraré tras "ti," y acabaré tus razones.
    
15. Entonces Bath-sheba entró al rey á la cámara: y el rey era muy viejo; y Abisag Sunamita servía al rey.
    

11. Then Nathan asked Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, "Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king without our lord David's knowing it?
    
12. Now then, let me advise you how you can save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.
    
13. Go in to King David and say to him, 'My lord the king, did you not swear to me your servant: "Surely Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne"? Why then has Adonijah become king?'
    
14. While you are still there talking to the king, I will come in and confirm what you have said."
    
15. So Bathsheba went to see the aged king in his room, where Abishag the Shunammite was attending him.
    

16. Y Bath-sheba se "inclinó," é hizo reverencia al rey. Y el rey dijo: ¿Qué tienes?
    
17. Y ella le respondió: Señor "mío," tú juraste á tu sierva por Jehová tu "Dios," diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de "mí," y él se sentará en mi trono;
    
18. Y he aquí ahora Adonía reina: y "tú," mi señor "rey," ahora no lo supiste.
    
19. Ha matado "bueyes," y animales "engordados," y muchas "ovejas," y ha convidado á todos los hijos del "rey," y á Abiathar "sacerdote," y á Joab general del ejército; mas á Salomón tu siervo no ha convidado.
    
20. Entre "tanto," rey señor "mío," los ojos de todo Israel están sobre "ti," para que les declares quién se ha de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él.
    

16. Bathsheba bowed low and knelt before the king. "What is it you want?" the king asked.
    
17. She said to him, "My lord, you yourself swore to me your servant by the LORD your God: 'Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne.'
    
18. But now Adonijah has become king, and you, my lord the king, do not know about it.
    
19. He has sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and has invited all the king's sons, Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army, but he has not invited Solomon your servant.
    
20. My lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, to learn from you who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
    

21. 그렇지 아니하면 내 主(주) 王(왕)께서 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 ^ㅏ잘 때에 나와 내 아들 솔로몬은 罪人(죄인)이 되리이다
    
22. 밧세바가 王(왕)과 말씀할 때에 先知者(선지자) 나단이 들어온지라
    
23. 或(혹)이 王(왕)께 告(고)하여 가로되 先知者(선지자) 나단이 여기 있나이다 하니 저가 王(왕) 앞에 들어와서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 王(왕)께 절하고
    
24. 가로되 내 主(주) 王(왕)께서 이르시기를 아도니야가 나를 이어 王(왕)이 되어 내 位(위)에 앉으리라 하셨나이까
    
25. 저가 오늘 내려가서 수소와 살진 송아지와 羊(양)을 많이 잡고 王(왕)의 모든 아들과 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관)들과 祭司長(제사장) 아비아달을 請(청)하였는데 저희가 아도니야 앞에서 먹고 마시며 ^ㅑ아도니야 王(왕) 萬歲(만세)를 불렀나이다
    

21. De otra suerte "acontecerá," cuando mi señor el rey durmiere con sus "padres," que yo y mi hijo Salomón seremos tenidos por culpables.
    
22. Y estando aún hablando ella con el "rey," he aquí Nathán "profeta," que vino.
    
23. Y dieron aviso al "rey," diciendo: He aquí Nathán profeta: el cual como entró al "rey," postróse delante del rey inclinando su rostro á tierra.
    
24. Y dijo Nathán: Rey señor "mío," ¿has tú dicho: Adonía reinará después de "mí," y él se sentará en mi trono?
    
25. Porque hoy ha "descendido," y ha matado "bueyes," y animales "engordados," y muchas "ovejas," y ha convidado á todos los hijos del "rey," y á los capitanes del "ejército," y también á Abiathar sacerdote; y he "aquí," están comiendo y bebiendo delante de "él," y han dicho: ¡Viva el rey Adonía!
    

21. Otherwise, as soon as my lord the king is laid to rest with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be treated as criminals."
    
22. While she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.
    
23. And they told the king, "Nathan the prophet is here." So he went before the king and bowed with his face to the ground.
    
24. Nathan said, "Have you, my lord the king, declared that Adonijah shall be king after you, and that he will sit on your throne?
    
25. Today he has gone down and sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep. He has invited all the king's sons, the commanders of the army and Abiathar the priest. Right now they are eating and drinking with him and saying, 'Long live King Adonijah!'
    

26. ^ㅓ그러나 王(왕)의 종 나와 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 王(왕)의 종 솔로몬은 請(청)치 아니하였사오니
    
27. 이것이 내 主(주) 王(왕)의 하신 일이니이까 그런데 王(왕)께서 내 主(주) 王(왕)을 이어 그 位(위)에 앉을 者(자)를 종에게 알게 하지 아니하셨나이다
    
28. 다윗 王(왕)이 命(명)하여 가로되 밧세바를 내 앞으로 부르라 하매 저가 王(왕)의 앞으로 들어와 그 앞에 서는지라
    
29. 王(왕)이 가로되 내 生命(생명)을 모든 患難(환난)에서 救援(구원)하신 ^ㅕ여호와의 사심을 가리켜 盟誓(맹서)하노라
    
30. ^ㅗ내가 以前(이전)에 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 가리켜 네게 盟誓(맹서)하여 이르기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 丁寧(정녕) 나를 이어 王(왕)이 되고 나를 代身(대신)하여 내 位(위)에 앉으리라 하였으니 내가 오늘날 그대로 行(행)하리라
    

26. Mas ni á mí tu "siervo," ni á Sadoc "sacerdote," ni á Benaía hijo de "Joiada," ni á Salomón tu "siervo," ha convidado.
    
27. ¿Es este negocio ordenado por mi señor el "rey," sin haber declarado á tu siervo quién se había de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él?
    
28. Entonces el rey David "respondió," y dijo: Llamadme á Bath-sheba. Y ella entró á la presencia del "rey," y púsose delante del rey.
    
29. Y el rey "juró," diciendo: Vive "Jehová," que ha redimido mi alma de toda "angustia,"
    
30. Que como yo te he jurado por Jehová Dios de "Israel," diciendo: Tu hijo Salomón reinará después de "mí," y él se sentará en mi trono en lugar mío; que así lo haré hoy.
    

26. But me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon he did not invite.
    
27. Is this something my lord the king has done without letting his servants know who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?"
    
28. Then King David said, "Call in Bathsheba." So she came into the king's presence and stood before him.
    
29. The king then took an oath: "As surely as the LORD lives, who has delivered me out of every trouble,
    
30. I will surely carry out today what I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel: Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place."
    

31. 밧세바가 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하며 ^ㅛ내 主(주) 다윗 王(왕)은 萬歲壽(만세수)를 하옵소서 하니라
    
32. 다윗 王(왕)이 가로되 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 先知者(선지자) 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 내 앞으로 부르라 하니 저희가 王(왕) 앞에 이른지라
    
33. 王(왕)이 저희에게 이르되 너희는 ^ㅜ너희 主(주)의 信服(신복)들을 데리고 내 아들 솔로몬을 나의 노새에 태우고 ^ㅠ기혼으로 引導(인도)하여 내려가고
    
34. 거기서 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 先知者(선지자) 나단은 저에게 ^으기름을 부어 이스라엘 王(왕)을 삼고 너희는 ^이羊角(양각)을 불며 ^ㅐ솔로몬 王(왕) 萬歲(만세)를 부르고
    
35. 저를 따라 올라오라 저가 와서 내 位(위)에 앉아 나를 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되리라 내가 저를 세워 이스라엘과 유다의 主權者(주권자)가 되게 하기로 作定(작정)하였느니라
    

31. Entonces Bath-sheba se inclinó al "rey," su rostro á "tierra," y haciendo reverencia al "rey," dijo: Viva mi señor el rey David para siempre.
    
32. Y el rey David dijo: Llamadme á Sadoc "sacerdote," y á Nathán "profeta," y á Benaía hijo de Joiada. Y ellos entraron á la presencia del rey.
    
33. Y el rey les dijo: Tomad con vosotros los siervos de vuestro "señor," y haced subir á Salomón mi hijo en mi "mula," y llevadlo á Gihón:
    
34. Y allí lo ungirán Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta por rey sobre Israel; y tocaréis "trompeta," diciendo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!
    
35. Después iréis vosotros detrás de "él," y vendrá y se sentará en mi "trono," y él reinará por mí; porque á él he ordenado para que sea príncipe sobre Israel y sobre Judá.
    

31. Then Bathsheba bowed low with her face to the ground and, kneeling before the king, said, "May my lord King David live forever!"
    
32. King David said, "Call in Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet and Benaiah son of Jehoiada." When they came before the king,
    
33. he said to them: "Take your lord's servants with you and set Solomon my son on my own mule and take him down to Gihon.
    
34. There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet and shout, 'Long live King Solomon!'
    
35. Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah."
    

36. 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 王(왕)께 對答(대답)하여 가로되 아멘, 내 主(주) 王(왕)의 하나님 여호와께서도 이렇게 말씀하시기를 願(원)하오며
    
37. 또 ^ㄱ여호와께서 내 主(주) 王(왕)과 함께 계심 같이 솔로몬과 함께 계셔서 ^ㄴ그 위를 내 主(주) 다윗 王(왕)의 位(위)보다 더 크게 하시기를 願(원)하나이다하니라
    
38. 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 先知者(선지자) 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야䱀˵ 䱀˵ ̗ܰ ˤ 䲨˵ 䱠˵ 䀀 䱠˵ 렛 사람이 내려가서 솔로몬을 다윗 王(왕)의 노새에 태우고 引導(인도)하여 기혼으로 가서
    
39. 祭司長(제사장) 사독이 聖幕(성막) 가운데서 ^ㄹ기름 뿔을 가져다가 ^ㅁ솔로몬에게 기름을 부으니 이에 羊角(양각)을 불고 모든 百姓(백성)이 솔로몬 王(왕) 萬歲(만세)를 부르니라
    
40. 모든 百姓(백성)이 王(왕)을 따라 올라와서 피리를 불며 크게 즐거워하므로 땅이 저희 소리로 因(인)하여 갈라질 듯하니
    

36. Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada respondió al "rey," y dijo: Amén. Así lo diga "Jehová," Dios de mi señor el rey.
    
37. De la manera que Jehová ha sido con mi señor el "rey," así sea con Salomón; y él haga mayor su trono que el trono de mi señor el rey David.
    
38. Y descendió Sadoc "sacerdote," y Nathán "profeta," y Benaía hijo de "Joiada," y los Ceretheos y los "Peletheos," é hicieron subir á Salomón en la mula del rey "David," y lleváronlo á Gihón.
    
39. Y tomando Sadoc sacerdote el cuerno del aceite del "tabernáculo," ungió á Salomón: y tocaron "trompeta," y dijo todo el pueblo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!
    
40. Después subió todo el pueblo en pos de "él," y cantaba la gente con "flautas," y hacían grandes "alegrías," que parecía que la tierra se hundía con el clamor de ellos.
    

36. Benaiah son of Jehoiada answered the king, "Amen! May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, so declare it.
    
37. As the LORD was with my lord the king, so may he be with Solomon to make his throne even greater than the throne of my lord King David!"
    
38. So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the Kerethites and the Pelethites went down and put Solomon on King David's mule and escorted him to Gihon.
    
39. Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet and all the people shouted, "Long live King Solomon!"
    
40. And all the people went up after him, playing flutes and rejoicing greatly, so that the ground shook with the sound.
    

41. 아도니야와 저와 함께 한 손들이 먹기를 마칠 때에 다 들은지라 요압이 羊角(양각) 소리를 듣고 가로되 城(성) 中(중)에서 소리가 어찌하여 擾亂(요란)하뇨
    
42. 말할 때에 祭司長(제사장) 아비아달의 아들 ^ㅂ요나단이 오는지라 아도니야가 가로되 들어오라 ^ㅅ너는 勇士(용사)라 아름다운 消息(소식)을 가져오는도다
    
43. 요나단이 아도니야에게 對答(대답)하여 가로되 果然(과연) 우리 主(주) 다윗 王(왕)이 솔로몬으로 王(왕)을 삼으셨나이다
    
44. 王(왕)께서 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 先知者(선지자) 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람을 솔로몬과 함께 보내셨는데 저희 무리가 王(왕)의 노새에 솔로몬을 태워다가
    
45. 祭司長(제사장) 사독과 先知者(선지자) 나단이 기혼에서 기름을 부어 王(왕)을 삼고 무리가 그곳에서 올라오며 즐거워하므로 城(성) 中(중)이 震動(진동)하였나니 當身(당신)들에게 들린 소리가 이것이라
    

41. Y oyólo "Adonía," y todos los convidados que con él "estaban," cuando ya habían acabado de comer. Y oyendo Joab el sonido de la "trompeta," dijo: ¿Por qué se alborota la ciudad con estruendo?
    
42. Estando aún él "hablando," he aquí Jonathán hijo de Abiathar sacerdote "vino," al cual dijo Adonía: "Entra," porque tú eres hombre de "esfuerzo," y traerás buenas nuevas.
    
43. Y Jonathán "respondió," y dijo á Adonía: Ciertamente nuestro señor el rey David ha hecho rey á Salomón:
    
44. Y el rey ha enviado con él á Sadoc sacerdote y á Nathán "profeta," y á Benaía hijo de "Joiada," y también á los Ceretheos y á los "Peletheos," los cuales le hicieron subir en la mula del rey;
    
45. Y Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta lo han ungido en Gihón por rey: y de allá han subido con "alegrías," y la ciudad está llena de estruendo. Este es el alboroto que habéis oído.
    

41. Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they were finishing their feast. On hearing the sound of the trumpet, Joab asked, "What's the meaning of all the noise in the city?"
    
42. Even as he was speaking, Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest arrived. Adonijah said, "Come in. A worthy man like you must be bringing good news."
    
43. "Not at all!" Jonathan answered. "Our lord King David has made Solomon king.
    
44. The king has sent with him Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the Kerethites and the Pelethites, and they have put him on the king's mule,
    
45. and Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king at Gihon. From there they have gone up cheering, and the city resounds with it. That's the noise you hear.
    

46. ^ㅇ솔로몬이 나라 位(위)에 앉았고
    
47. 또 王(왕)의 信服(신복)들이 와서 우리 主(주) 다윗 王(왕)에게 祝福(축복)하여 이르기를 ^ㅈ王(왕)의 하나님이 솔로몬의 이름을 王(왕)의 이름보다 아름답게 하시고 그 位(위)를 王(왕)의 位(위)보다 크게 하시기를 願(원)하나이다 하매 王(왕)이 寢床(침상)에서 ^ㅊ몸을 굽히고
    
48. 이르시기를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하리로다 ^ㅋ여호와께서 오늘날 내 位(위)에 앉을 者(자)를 주사 나로 目覩(목도)하게 하셨도다 하셨나이다 하니
    
49. 아도니야도 솔로몬을 두려워하여 일어나 가서 ^ㅌ祭壇(제단) 뿔을 ^ㅍ잡으니
    

46. Y también Salomón se ha sentado en el trono del reino.
    
47. Y aun los siervos del rey han venido á bendecir á nuestro señor el rey "David," diciendo: Dios haga bueno el nombre de Salomón más que tu "nombre," y haga mayor su trono que el tuyo. Y el rey adoró en la cama.
    
48. Y también el rey habló así: Bendito sea Jehová Dios de "Israel," que ha dado hoy quien se siente en mi "trono," viéndolo mis ojos.
    
49. Ellos entonces se "estremecieron," y levantáronse todos los convidados que estaban con "Adonía," y fuése cada uno por su camino.
    
50. Mas "Adonía," temiendo de la presencia de "Salomón," levantóse y "fuése," y cogió los cornijales del altar.
    

46. Moreover, Solomon has taken his seat on the royal throne.
    
47. Also, the royal officials have come to congratulate our lord King David, saying, 'May your God make Solomon's name more famous than yours and his throne greater than yours!' And the king bowed in worship on his bed
    
48. and said, 'Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who has allowed my eyes to see a successor on my throne today.'"
    
49. At this, all Adonijah's guests rose in alarm and dispersed.
    
50. But Adonijah, in fear of Solomon, went and took hold of the horns of the altar.
    

51. 或(혹)이 솔로몬에게 告(고)하여 가로되 아도니야가 솔로몬 王(왕)을 두려워하여 只今(지금) 祭壇(제단) 뿔을 잡고 말하기를 솔로몬 王(왕)이 오늘날 칼로 自己(자기) 종을 죽이지 않겠다고 내게 盟誓(맹서)하기를 願(원)한다 하나이다
    
52. 솔로몬이 가로되 저가 萬一(만일) 善(선)한 사람이 될진대 ^ㅎ그 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하려니와 저의 가운데 惡(악)한 것이 보이면 죽으리라 하고
    
53. 사람을 보내어 저를 祭壇(제단)에서 이끌어 내리니 저가 와서 솔로몬 王(왕)께 절하매 솔로몬이 이르기를 네 집으로 가라 하였더라
    

51. Y fué hecho saber á "Salomón," diciendo: He aquí que Adonía tiene miedo del rey Salomón: pues ha cogido los cornijales del "altar," diciendo: Júreme hoy el rey Salomón que no matará á cuchillo á su siervo.
    
52. Y Salomón dijo: Si él fuere "virtuoso," ni uno de sus cabellos caerá en tierra: mas si se hallare mal en "él," morirá.
    
53. Y envió el rey "Salomón," y trajéronlo del altar; y él "vino," é inclinóse al rey Salomón. Y Salomón le dijo: Vete á tu casa.
    

51. Then Solomon was told, "Adonijah is afraid of King Solomon and is clinging to the horns of the altar. He says, 'Let King Solomon swear to me today that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.'"
    
52. Solomon replied, "If he shows himself to be a worthy man, not a hair of his head will fall to the ground; but if evil is found in him, he will die."
    
53. Then King Solomon sent men, and they brought him down from the altar. And Adonijah came and bowed down to King Solomon, and Solomon said, "Go to your home."
