1. ^ㄴ그 後(후)에 암몬 子孫(자손)의 王(왕)이 죽고 그 아들 하눈이 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니
   
2. 다윗이 가로되 내가 ^ㄷ나하스의 아들 하눈에게 恩寵(은총)을 베풀되 그 아비가 내게 恩寵(은총)을 베푼 것같이 하리라 하고 그 信服(신복)들을 命(명)하여 그 아비 죽은 것을 조상하라 하니라 다윗의 信服(신복)들이 암몬 子孫(자손)의 땅에 이르매
   
3. 암몬 子孫(자손)의 方伯(방백)들이 그 主(주) 하눈에게 告(고)하되 王(왕)은 다윗이 조상을 보낸 것이 王(왕)의 父親(부친)을 恭敬(공경)함인 줄로 여기시나이까 다윗이 그 信服(신복)을 보내어 이 城(성)을 엿보고 探知(탐지)하여 陷落(함락)시키고자 함이 아니니이까
   
4. 이에 하눈이 다윗의 信服(신복)들을 잡아 그 鬚髥(수염) 折半(절반)을 깎고 그 衣服(의복)의 중동 ^ㄹ볼기까지 자르고 돌려보내매
   
5. 或(혹)이 이 일을 다윗에게 告(고)하니라 그 사람들이 크게 부끄러워하므로 王(왕)이 저희를 맞으러 보내어 이르기를 너희는 鬚髥(수염)이 자라기까지 여리고에서 머물다가 돌아오라 하니라
   

1. DESPUÉS de esto "aconteció," que murió el rey de los hijos de Ammón: y reinó en lugar suyo Hanún su hijo.
   
2. Y dijo David: Yo haré misericordia con Hanún hijo de "Naas," como su padre la hizo conmigo. Y envió David sus siervos á consolarlo por su padre. Mas llegados los siervos de David á la tierra de los hijos de "Ammón,"
   
3. Los príncipes de los hijos de Ammón dijeron á Hanún su señor: ¿Te parece que por honrar David á tu padre te ha enviado consoladores? ¿no ha enviado David sus siervos á ti por reconocer é inspeccionar la "ciudad," para destruirla?
   
4. Entonces Hanún tomó los siervos de "David," y rapóles la mitad de la "barba," y cortóles los vestidos por la mitad hasta las "nalgas," y despachólos.
   
5. Lo cual como fué hecho saber á "David," envió á "encontrarles," porque ellos estaban en extremo avergonzados; y el rey hizo decir les: Estaos en Jericó hasta que os vuelva á nacer la "barba," y entonces regresaréis.
   

1. In the course of time, the king of the Ammonites died, and his son Hanun succeeded him as king.
   
2. David thought, "I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, just as his father showed kindness to me." So David sent a dele๰̀ ๰̀ 䟀ʯ 䘐ʧ ໘̀ ຐ̀ 䀀 ຐ̀ is father. When David's men came to the land of the Ammonites,
   
3. the Ammonite nobles said to Hanun their lord, "Do you think David is honoring your father by sending men to you to express sympathy? Hasn't David sent them to you to explore the city and spy it out and overthrow it?"
   
4. So Hanun seized David's men, shaved off half of each man's beard, cut off their garments in the middle at the buttocks, and sent them away.
   
5. When David was told about this, he sent messengers to meet the men, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, "Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back."
   

6. 암몬 子孫(자손)이 自己(자기)가 다윗에게 미움이 된 줄 알고 사람을 보내어 ^ㅁ벧르홉 아람 사람과 ^ㅂ소바 아람 사람의 步兵(보병) 二萬(이만)과 ^ㅅ마아가 王(왕)과 그 사람 一千(일천)과 ^ㅇ돕 사람 一萬(일만) 二千(이천)을 雇傭(고용)한지라
   
7. 다윗이 듣고 요압과 ^ㅈ勇士(용사)의 온 무리를 보내매
   
8. 암몬 子孫(자손)은 나와서 城門(성문) 어귀에 陣(진)을 쳤고 소바와 르홉 아람 사람과 돕과 마아가 사람들은 따로 들에 있더라
   
9. 요압이 앞뒤에 친 敵陣(적진)을 보고 이스라엘 의 뺀 者(자) 中(중)에서 또 빼서 아람 사람을 對(대)하여 陣(진)치고
   
10. 그 남은 무리는 그 아우 아비새의 手下(수하)에 붙여 암몬 子孫(자손)을 對(대)하여 陣(진)치게 하고
    

6. Y viendo los hijos de Ammón que se habían hecho odiosos á "David," enviaron los hijos de Ammón y tomaron á sueldo á los Siros de la casa de "Rehob," y á los Siros de "Soba," veinte mil hombres de á pie: y del rey de Maaca mil "hombres," y de Is-tob doce mil hombres.
   
7. Lo cual como oyó "David," envió á Joab con todo el ejército de los valientes.
   
8. Y saliendo los hijos de "Ammón," ordenaron sus escuadrones á la entrada de la puerta: mas los Siros de "Soba," y de "Rehob," y de "Is-tob," y de "Maaca," estaban de por sí en le campo.
   
9. Viendo pues Joab que había escuadrones delante y detrás de "él," entresacó de todos los escogidos de "Israel," y púsose en orden contra los Siros.
   
10. Entregó luego lo que quedó del pueblo en mano de Abisai su "hermano," y púsolo en orden para encontrar á los Ammonitas.
    

6. When the Ammonites realized that they had become a stench in David's nostrils, they hired twenty thousand Aramean foot soldiers from Beth Rehob and Zobah, as well as the king of Maacah with a thousand men, and also twelve thousand men from Tob.
   
7. On hearing this, David sent Joab out with the entire army of fighting men.
   
8. The Ammonites came out and drew up in battle formation at the entrance to their city gate, while the Arameans of Zobah and Rehob and the men of Tob and Maacah were by themselves in the open country.
   
9. Joab saw that there were battle lines in front of him and behind him; so he selected some of the best troops in Israel and deployed them against the Arameans.
   
10. He put the rest of the men under the command of Abishai his brother and deployed them against the Ammonites.
    

11. 가로되 萬一(만일) 아람 사람이 나보다 强(강)하면 네가 나를 돕고 萬一(만일) 암몬 子孫(자손)이 너보다 强(강)하면 내가 가서 너를 도우리라
    
12. ^ㅊ너는 膽大(담대)하라 우리가 우리 百姓(백성)과 우리 하나님의 城邑(성읍)들을 爲(위)하여 ^ㅋ膽大(담대)히 하자 ^ㅌ여호와께서 善(선)히 여기시는 대로 行(행)하시기를 願(원)하노라 하고
    
13. 요압과 그 從者(종자)가 아람 사람을 向(향)하여 싸우려고 나아가니 저희가 그 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하고
    
14. 암몬 子孫(자손)은 아람 사람의 逃亡(도망)함을 보고 저희도 아비새 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하여 城(성)으로 들어간지라 요압이 암몬 子孫(자손)을 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
    
15. 아람 사람이 自己(자기)가 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)하였음을 보고 다 모이매
    

11. Y dijo: Si los Siros me fueren "superiores," tú me ayudarás; y si los hijos de Ammón pudieren más que "tú," yo te daré ayuda.
    
12. Esfuérzate, y esforcémonos por nuestro "pueblo," y por las ciudades de nuestro Dios: y haga Jehová lo que bien le pareciere.
    
13. Y acercóse "Joab," y el pueblo que con él "estaba," para pelear con los Siros; mas ellos huyeron delante de él.
    
14. Entonces los hijos de "Ammón," viendo que los Siros habían "huído," huyeron también ellos delante de "Abisai," y entráronse en la ciudad. Y volvió Joab de los hijos de "Ammón," y vínose á Jerusalem.
    
15. Mas viendo los Siros que habían caído delante de "Israel," tornáronse á juntar.
    

11. Joab said, "If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to come to my rescue; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to rescue you.
    
12. Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The LORD will do what is good in his sight."
    
13. Then Joab and the troops with him advanced to fight the Arameans, and they fled before him.
    
14. When the Ammonites saw that the Arameans were fleeing, they fled before Abishai and went inside the city. So Joab returned from fighting the Ammonites and came to Jerusalem.
    
15. After the Arameans saw that they had been routed by Israel, they regrouped.
    

16. 하닷에셀이 사람을 보내어 ^ㅍ江(강) 건너便(편)에 있는 아람 사람을 불러 내매 저희가 헬람에 이르니 하닷에셀의 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관) ^ㅎ소박이 저희를 거느린지라
    
17. 或(혹)이 다윗에게 告(고)하매 저가 온 이스라엘을 모으고 요단을 건너 헬람에 이르매 아람 사람들이 다윗을 向(향)하여 陣(진)을 치고 더불어 싸우더니
    
18. 아람 사람이 이스라엘 앞에서 逃亡(도망)한지라 다윗이 아람 ^ㅏ兵車(병거) 七百乘(칠백승)의 사람과 馬兵(마병) 四萬(사만)을 죽이고 또 그 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관) 소박을 치매 거기서 죽으니라
    
19. 하닷에셀에게 屬(속)한 王(왕)들이 自己(자기)가 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)함을 보고 이스라엘과 和親(화친)하고 ^ㅑ섬기니 이러므로 아람 사람들이 두려워하여 다시는 암몬 子孫(자손)을 돕지 아니하니라
    

16. Y envió "Hadad-ezer," y sacó los Siros que estaban de la otra parte del "río," los cuales vinieron á "Helam," llevando por jefe á Sobach general del ejército de Hadad-ezer.
    
17. Y como fué dado aviso á "David," juntó á todo "Israel," y pasando el Jordán vino á Helam: y los Siros se pusieron en orden contra "David," y pelearon con él.
    
18. Mas los Siros huyeron delante de Israel: é hirió David de los Siros la gente de setecientos "carros," y cuarenta mil hombres de á caballo: hirió también á Sobach general del "ejército," y murió allí.
    
19. Viendo pues todos los reyes que asistían á "Hadad-ezer," como habían ellos sido derrotados delante de "Israel," hicieron paz con "Israel," y sirviéronle; y de allí adelante temieron los Siros de socorrer á los hijos de Ammón.
    

16. Hadadezer had Arameans brought from beyond the River; they went to Helam, with Shobach the commander of Hadadezer's army leading them.
    
17. When David was told of this, he gathered all Israel, crossed the Jordan and went to Helam. The Arameans formed their battle lines to meet David and fought against him.
    
18. But they fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred of their charioteers and forty thousand of their foot soldiers. He also struck down Shobach the commander of their army, and he died there.
    
19. When all the kings who were vassals of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with the Israelites and became subject to them. So the Arameans were afraid to help the Ammonites anymore.
