사무엘상(1 Samuel) 4장 [개역한글 : RV1909 : NIV]

1. 사무엘의 말이 온 이스라엘에 傳播(전파)되니라 이스라엘은 나가서 블레셋 사람과 싸우려고 ^ㄱ에벤에셀 곁에 陣(진) 치고 블레셋 사람은 ^ㄴ아벡에 陣(진) 쳤더니
   
2. 이스라엘을 對(대)하여 行伍(항오)를 벌이니라 그 둘이 싸우다가 이스라엘이 블레셋 사람 앞에서 敗(패)하여 그들에게 戰爭(전쟁)에서 죽임을 當(당)한 軍士(군사)가 四千名(사천명) 假量(가량)이라
   
3. 百姓(백성)이 陣(진)으로 돌아오매 이스라엘 長老(장로)들이 가로되 여호와께서 어찌하여 우리로 오늘 블레셋 사람 앞에 敗(패)하게 하셨는고 여호와의 言約櫃(언약궤)를 ^ㄷ실로에서 우리에게로 가져다가 우리 中(중)에 있게 하여 그것으로 우리를 우리 怨讐(원수)들의 손에서 救援(구원)하게 하자 하니
   
4. 이에 百姓(백성)이 실로에 보내어 ^ㄹ그룹 사이에 계신 萬軍(만군)의 여호와의 言約櫃(언약궤)를 거기서 가져 왔고 엘리의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스는 하나님의 言約櫃(언약궤)와 함께 거기 있었더라
   
5. 여호와의 言約櫃(언약궤)가 陣(진)에 들어 올 때에 온 이스라엘이 ^ㅁ큰 소리로 외치매 땅이 울린지라
   

1. Y SAMUEL habló á todo Israel. Por aquel tiempo salió Israel á encontrar en batalla á los "Filisteos," y asentó campo junto á "Eben-ezer," y los Filisteos asentaron el suyo en Aphec.
   
2. Y los Filisteos presentaron la batalla á Israel; y trabándose el "combate," Israel fué vencido delante de los "Filisteos," los cuales hirieron en la batalla por el campo como cuatro mil hombres.
   
3. Y vuelto que hubo el pueblo al "campamento," los ancianos de Israel dijeron: ¿Por qué nos ha herido hoy Jehová delante de los Filisteos? Traigamos á nosotros de Silo el arca del pacto de "Jehová," para que viniendo entre nosotros nos salve de la mano de nuestros enemigos.
   
4. Y envió el pueblo á "Silo," y trajeron de allá el arca del pacto de Jehová de los "ejércitos," que estaba asentado entre los querubines; y los dos hijos de "Eli," Ophni y "Phinees," estaban allí con el arca del pacto de Dios.
   
5. Y aconteció "que," como el arca del pacto de Jehová vino al "campo," todo Israel dió grita con tan grande "júbilo," que la tierra tembló.
   

1. And Samuel's word came to all Israel. Now the Israelites went out to fight against the Philistines. The Israelites camped at Ebenezer, and the Philistines at Aphek.
   
2. The Philistines deployed their forces to meet Israel, and as the battle spread, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand of them on the battlefield.
   
3. When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked, "Why did the LORD bring defeat upon us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the LORD'S covenant from Shiloh, so that it may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies."
   
4. So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the LORD Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. And Eli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
   
5. When the ark of the LORD'S covenant came into the camp, all Israel raised such a great shout that the ground shook.
   

6. 블레셋 사람이 그 외치는 소리를 듣고 가로되 히브리 陣(진)에서 큰 소리로 외침은 어찜이뇨 하다가 여호와의 櫃(궤)가 陣(진)에 들어온 줄을 깨달은지라
   
7. 블레셋 사람이 두려워하여 가로되 神(신)이 陣(진)에 이르렀도다 하고 또 가로되 우리에게 禍(화)로다 前日(전일)에는 이런 일이 없었도다
   
8. 우리에게 禍(화)로다 누가 우리를 이 能(능)한 神(신)들의 손에서 건지리요 그들은 曠野(광야)에서 여러가지 災殃(재앙)으로 애굽人(인)을 친 神(신)들이니라
   
9. 너희 블레셋 사람들아, ^ㅂ强(강)하게 되며 大丈夫(대장부)가 되어라 너희가 ^ㅅ히브리 사람의 종이 되기를 그들이 너희의 종이 되었던 것 같이 말고 大丈夫(대장부) 같이 되어 싸우라 하고
   
10. 블레셋 사람이 쳤더니 ^ㅇ이스라엘이 敗(패)하여 ^ㅈ各其(각기) 帳幕(장막)으로 逃亡(도망)하였고 殺戮(살륙)이 甚(심)히 커서 이스라엘 步兵(보병)의 엎드러진 者(자)가 三萬(삼만)이었으며
    

6. Y cuando los Filisteos oyeron la voz de "júbilo," dijeron: ¿Qué voz de gran júbilo es esta en el campo de los Hebreos? Y supieron que el arca de Jehová había venido al campo.
   
7. Y los Filisteos tuvieron "miedo," porque decían: Ha venido Dios al campo. Y dijeron: ¡Ay de nosotros! pues antes de ahora no fué así.
   
8. Ay de nosotros! ¿Quién nos librará de las manos de estos dioses fuertes? Estos son los dioses que hirieron á Egipto con toda plaga en el desierto.
   
9. Esforzaos, oh "Filisteos," y sed "hombres," porque no sirváis á los "Hebreos," como ellos os han servido á vosotros: sed "hombres," y pelead.
   
10. Pelearon pues los "Filisteos," é Israel fué "vencido," y huyeron cada cual á sus tiendas; y fué hecha muy grande "mortandad," pues cayeron de Israel treinta mil hombres de á pie.
    

6. Hearing the uproar, the Philistines asked, "What's all this shouting in the Hebrew camp?" When they learned that the ark of the LORD had come into the camp,
   
7. the Philistines were afraid. "A god has come into the camp," they said. "We're in trouble! Nothing like this has happened before.
   
8. Woe to us! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? They are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the desert.
   
9. Be strong, Philistines! Be men, or you will be subject to the Hebrews, as they have been to you. Be men, and fight!"
   
10. So the Philistines fought, and the Israelites were defeated and every man fled to his tent. The slaughter was very great; Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.
    

11. ^ㅊ하나님의 櫃(궤)는 빼앗겼고 ^ㅋ엘리의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스는 죽임을 當(당)하였더라
    
12. 當日(당일)에 어떤 베냐민 사람이 陣(진)에서 달려나와 그 ^ㅌ옷을 찢고 그 머리에 티끌을 무릅쓰고 실로에 이르니라
    
13. 그가 이를 때는 ^ㅍ엘리가 길 곁 自己(자기) 椅子(의자)에 앉아 기다리며 그 마음이 여호와의 櫃(궤)로 因(인)하여 떨릴 즈음이라 그 사람이 城(성)에 들어 오며 告(고)하매 온 城(성)이 부르짖는지라
    
14. 엘리가 그 부르짖는 소리를 듣고 가로되 이 훤화하는 소리는 어찜이뇨 그 사람이 빨리 와서 엘리에게 告(고)하니
    
15. 때에 엘리의 나이 九十八(구십팔)이라 그 ^ㅎ눈이 어두워서 보지 못하더라
    

11. Y el arca de Dios fué "tomada," y muertos los dos hijos de "Eli," Ophni y Phinees.
    
12. Y corriendo de la batalla un hombre de "Benjamín," vino aquel día á "Silo," rotos sus vestidos y tierra sobre su cabeza:
    
13. Y cuando "llegó," he aquí Eli que estaba sentado en una silla atalayando junto al camino; porque su corazón estaba temblando por causa del arca de Dios. Llegado pues aquel hombre á la "ciudad," y dadas las "nuevas," toda la ciudad gritó.
    
14. Y como Eli oyó el estruendo de la "gritería," dijo: ¿Qué estruendo de alboroto es éste? Y aquel hombre vino "apriesa," y dió las nuevas á Eli.
    
15. Era ya Eli de edad de noventa y ocho "años," y sus ojos se habían "entenebrecido," de modo que no podía ver.
    

11. The ark of God was captured, and Eli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, died.
    
12. That same day a Benjamite ran from the battle line and went to Shiloh, his clothes torn and dust on his head.
    
13. When he arrived, there was Eli sitting on his chair by the side of the road, watching, because his heart feared for the ark of God. When the man entered the town and told what had happened, the whole town sent up a cry.
    
14. Eli heard the outcry and asked, "What is the meaning of this uproar?" The man hurried over to Eli,
    
15. who was ninety-eight years old and whose eyes were set so that he could not see.
    

16. 그사람이 엘리에게 告(고)하되 나는 陣(진) 中(중)에서 나온 者(자)라 내가 오늘 陣(진) 中(중)에서 逃亡(도망)하여 왔나이다 엘리가 가로되 내 아들아, ^ㅏ일이 어찌되었느냐
    
17. 消息(소식)을 傳(전)하는 者(자)가 對答(대답)하여 가로되 이스라엘이 블레셋 사람 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하였고 百姓(백성) 中(중)에는 큰 殺戮(살륙)이 있었고 當身(당신)의 두 아들 홉니와 비느하스도 죽임을 當(당)하였고 하나님의 櫃(궤)는 빼앗겼나이다
    
18. 하나님의 櫃(궤)를 말할 때에 엘리가 自己(자기) ^ㅑ椅子(의자)에서 자빠져 門(문) 곁에서 목이 부러져 죽었으니 나이 많고 비둔한 緣故(연고)라 그가 이스라엘 士師(사사)가 된지 四十年(사십년)이었더라
    
19. 그의 며느리 비느하스의 아내가 孕胎(잉태)하여 産氣(산기)가 가까왔더니 하나님의 櫃(궤) 빼앗긴 것과 그 媤父(시부)와 男便(남편)의 죽은 所聞(소문)을 듣고 갑자기 아파서 몸을 구푸려 解産(해산)하고
    
20. 죽어갈 때에 곁에 섰던 女人(녀인)들이 그에게 이르되 ^ㅓ두려워 말라 네가 아들을 낳았다 하되 그가 對答(대답)지도 아니하며 觀念(관념)치도 아니하고
    

16. Dijo pues aquel hombre á Eli: Yo vengo de la "batalla," yo he escapado hoy del combate. Y él dijo: ¿Qué ha "acontecido," hijo mío?
    
17. Y el mensajero "respondió," y dijo: Israel huyó delante de los "Filisteos," y también fué hecha gran mortandad en el pueblo; y también tus dos "hijos," Ophni y "Phinees," son "muertos," y el arca de Dios fué tomada.
    
18. Y aconteció que como él hizo mención del arca de "Dios," Eli cayó hacia atrás de la silla al lado de la "puerta," y quebrósele la "cerviz," y murió: porque era hombre viejo y pesado. Y había juzgado á Israel cuarenta años.
    
19. Y su "nuera," la mujer de "Phinees," que estaba "preñada," cercana al "parto," oyendo el rumor que el arca de Dios era "tomada," y muertos su suegro y su "marido," encorvóse y parió; porque sus dolores se habían ya derramado por ella.
    
20. Y al tiempo que se "moría," decíanle las que estaban junto á ella: No tengas "temor," porque has parido un hijo. Mas ella no "respondió," ni paró mientes.
    

16. He told Eli, "I have just come from the battle line; I fled from it this very day." Eli asked, "What happened, my son?"
    
17. The man who brought the news replied, "Israel fled before the Philistines, and the army has suffered heavy losses. Also your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been captured."
    
18. When he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell backward off his chair by the side of the gate. His neck was broken and he died, for he was an old man and heavy. He had led Israel forty years.
    
19. His daughter-in-law, the wife of Phinehas, was pregnant and near the time of delivery. When she heard the news that the ark of God had been captured and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she went into labor and gave birth, but was overcome by her labor pains.
    
20. As she was dying, the women attending her said, "Don't despair; you have given birth to a son." But she did not respond or pay any attention.
    

21. 이르기를 ^ㅕ榮光(영광)이 이스라엘에서 떠났다 하고 아이 이름을 ^ㅗ이가봇이라 하였으니 ^ㅛ하나님의 櫃(궤)가 빼앗겼고 그 媤父(시부)와 男便(남편)이 죽었음을 因(인)함이며
    
22. 또 이르기를 하나님의 櫃(궤)를 빼앗겼으므로 榮光(영광)이 이스라엘에서 떠났다 하였더라
    

21. Y llamó al niño "Ichâbod," diciendo: ¡Traspasada es la gloria de Israel! por el arca de Dios que fué "tomada," y porque era muerto su "suegro," y su marido.
    
22. Dijo pues: Traspasada es la gloria de Israel: porque el arca de Dios fué tomada.
    

21. She named the boy Ichabod, saying, "The glory has departed from Israel"--because of the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband.
    
22. She said, "The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured."
