1. 여호와께서 가나안 戰爭(전쟁)을 알지 못한 이스라엘을 試驗(시험)하려 하시며
   
2. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 世代(세대) 中(중)에 아직 戰爭(전쟁)을 알지 못하는 者(자)에게 그것을 가르쳐 알게 하려하사 ^ㅕ남겨 두신 列國(렬국)은
   
3. ^ㅗ블레셋 다섯 方伯(방백)과 가나안 모든 사람과 시돈 사람과 바알헤르몬 山(산)에서부터 하맛 어구까지 레바논 山(산)에 居(거)하는 히위 사람이라
   
4. 남겨두신 ^ㅛ이 列國(렬국)으로 이스라엘을 試驗(시험)하사 여호와께서 모세로 그들의 列祖(열조)에게 命(명)하신 命令(명령)들을 聽從(청종)하나 알고자 하셨더라
   
5. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)은 마침내 ^ㅜ가나안 사람과, 헷 사람과, 아모리 사람과, 브리스 사람과, 히위 사람과, 여부스 사람 사이에 居(거)하여
   

1. ESTAS, "pues," son las gentes que dejó Jehová para probar con ellas á "Israel," á todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas las guerras de Canaán;
   
2. Para que al menos el linaje de los hijos de Israel "conociese," para enseñarlos en la "guerra," siquiera fuese á los que antes no la habían conocido:
   
3. Cinco príncipes de los "Philisteos," y todos los "Cananeos," y los "Sidonios," y los Heveos que habitaban en el monte Líbano: desde el monte de Baal-hermón hasta llegar á Hamath.
   
4. Estos pues fueron para probar por ellos á "Israel," para saber si obedecerían á los mandamientos de "Jehová," que él había prescrito á sus padres por mano de Moisés.
   
5. Así los hijos de Israel habitaban entre los "Cananeos," "Hetheos," "Amorrheos," "Pherezeos," "Heveos," y Jebuseos:
   

1. These are the nations the LORD left to test all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan
   
2. (he did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience):
   
3. the five rulers of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the Lebanon mountains from Mount Baal Hermon to Lebo Hamath.
   
4. They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the LORD'S commands, which he had given their forefathers through Moses.
   
5. The Israelites lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
   

6. ^ㅠ그들의 딸들을 取(취)하여 아내를 삼으며 自己(자기) 딸들을 그들의 아들에게 주며 또 그들의 神(신)들을 섬겼더라
   
7. ^으이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 여호와 目前(목전)에 惡(악)을 行(행)하여 自己(자기)들의 하나님 여호와를 잊어버리고 바알들과 ^이아세라들을 섬긴지라
   
8. 여호와께서 ^ㅐ이스라엘에게 震怒(진노)하사 그들을 메소보다미아 王(왕) ^ㄱ구산 리사다임의 손에 파셨으므로 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 구산 리사다임을 八年(팔년)을 섬겼더니
   
9. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 ^ㄴ여호와께 부르짖으매 여호와께서 그들을 爲(위)하여 한 ^ㄷ救援者(구원자)를 세워 救援(구원)하게 하시니 그는 곧 갈렙의 아우 그나스의 아들 ^ㄹ옷니엘이라
   
10. ^ㅁ여호와의 神(신)이 그에게 臨(임)하셨으므로 그가 이스라엘 士師(사사)가 되어 나가서 싸울 때에 여호와께서 메소보다미아 王(왕) 구산 리사다임을 그 손에 붙이시매 옷니엘의 손이 구산 리사다임을 이기니라
    

6. Y tomaron de sus hijas por "mujeres," y dieron sus hijas á los hijos de "ellos," y sirvieron á sus dioses.
   
7. Hicieron, "pues," los hijos de Israel lo malo en ojos de Jehová: y olvidados de Jehová su "Dios," sirvieron á los "Baales," y á los ídolos de los bosques.
   
8. Y la saña de Jehová se encendió contra "Israel," y vendiólos en manos de Chusan-risathaim rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel á Chusan-risathaim ocho años.
   
9. Y clamaron los hijos de Israel á Jehová; y Jehová suscitó salvador á los hijos de Israel y librólos; es á "saber," á Othoniel hijo de "Cenez," hermano menor de Caleb.
   
10. Y el espíritu de Jehová fué sobre "él," y juzgó á "Israel," y salió á "batalla," y Jehová entregó en su mano á "Chusan-risathaim," rey de "Siria," y prevaleció su mano contra Chusan-risathaim.
    

6. They took their daughters in marriage and gave their own daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
   
7. The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs.
   
8. The anger of the LORD burned against Israel so that he sold them into the hands of Cushan-Rishathaim king of Aram Naharaim, to whom the Israelites were subject for eight years.
   
9. But when they cried out to the LORD, he raised up for them a deliverer, Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, who saved them.
   
10. The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, so that he became Israel's judge and went to war. The LORD gave Cushan-Rishathaim king of Aram into the hands of Othniel, who overpowered him.
    

11. ^ㅂ그 땅이 泰平(태평)한지 四十年(사십년)에 그나스의 아들 옷니엘이 죽었더라
    
12. ^ㅅ이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 또 여호와의 目前(목전)에 惡(악)을 行(행)하니라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 여호와의 目前(목전)에 惡(악)을 行(행)하므로 여호와께서 ^ㅇ모압 王(왕) 에글론을 强盛(강성)케 하사 그들을 對敵(대적)하게 하시매
    
13. 에글론이 암몬과 ^ㅈ아말렉 子孫(자손)들을 모아가지고 와서 이스라엘을 쳐서 ^ㅊ棕櫚(종려)나무 城邑(성읍)을 占領(점령)한지라
    
14. 이에 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 모압 王(왕) 에글론을 十八年(십팔년)을 섬기니라
    
15. ^ㅋ이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 여호와께 부르짖으매 여호와께서 그들을 爲(위)하여 한 救援者(구원자)를 세우셨으니 그는 곧 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 ^ㅌ왼손잡이 에훗이라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 그를 依託(의탁)하여 모압 王(왕) 에글론에게 貢物(공물)을 바칠 때에
    

11. Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años; y murió "Othoniel," hijo de Cenez.
    
12. Y tornaron los hijos de Israel á hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová esforzó á Eglón rey de Moab contra "Israel," por cuanto habían hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová.
    
13. Y Juntó consigo á los hijos de Ammón y de "Amalec," y "fué," é hirió á "Israel," y tomó la ciudad de las palmas.
    
14. Y sirvieron los hijos de Israel á Eglón rey de los Moabitas diez y ocho años.
    
15. Y clamaron los hijos de Israel á Jehová; y Jehová les suscitó "salvador," á "Aod," hijo de "Gera," "Benjamita," el cual tenía cerrada la mano derecha. Y los hijos de Israel enviaron con él un presente á Eglón rey de Moab.
    

11. So the land had peace for forty years, until Othniel son of Kenaz died.
    
12. Once again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD, and because they did this evil the LORD gave Eglon king of Moab power over Israel.
    
13. Getting the Ammonites and Amalekites to join him, Eglon came and attacked Israel, and they took possession of the City of Palms.
    
14. The Israelites were subject to Eglon king of Moab for eighteen years.
    
15. Again the Israelites cried out to the LORD, and he gave them a deliverer--Ehud, a left-handed man, the son of Gera the Benjamite. The Israelites sent him with tribute to Eglon king of Moab.
    

16. 에훗이 長(장)이 한 규빗 되는 左右(좌우)에 날선 칼을 만들어 右便(우편) 다리 옷 속에 차고
    
17. 貢物(공물)을 모압 王(왕) 에글론에게 바쳤는데 에글론은 甚(심)히 비둔한 者(자)이었더라
    
18. 에훗이 貢物(공물) 바치기를 마친 後(후)에 貢物(공물)을 메고 온 者(자)들을 보내고
    
19. 自己(자기)는 길갈 近處(근처) ^ㅍ돌 뜨는 곳에서부터 돌아와서 가로되 王(왕)이여, 내가 隱密(은밀)한 일을 王(왕)에게 告(고)하려 하나이다 王(왕)이 命(명)하여 從容(종용)케 하라 하매 모셔 선 者(자)들이 다 물러간지라
    
20. 에훗이 王(왕)의 앞으로 나아가니 王(왕)은 ^ㅎ서늘한 다락房(방)에 홀로 앉아 있는 中(중)이라 ^ㅏ에훗이 가로되 내가 하나님의 命(명)을 받들어 王(왕)에게 告(고)할 일이 있나이다 하매 王(왕)이 그 座席(좌석)에서 일어나니
    

16. Y Aod se había hecho un puñal de dos "filos," de un codo de largo; y ciñósele debajo de sus vestidos á su lado derecho.
    
17. Y presentó el presente á Eglón rey de Moab; y era Eglón hombre muy grueso.
    
18. Y luego que hubo presentado el "don," despidió á la gente que lo había traído.
    
19. Mas él se volvió desde los ídolos que están en "Gilgal," y dijo: "Rey," una palabra secreta tengo que decirte. El entonces dijo: Calla. Y saliéronse de con él todos los que delante de él estaban.
    
20. Y llegóse Aod á "él," el cual estaba sentado solo en una sala de verano. Y Aod dijo: Tengo palabra de Dios para ti. El entonces se levantó de la silla.
    

16. Now Ehud had made a double-edged sword about a foot and a half long, which he strapped to his right thigh under his clothing.
    
17. He presented the tribute to Eglon king of Moab, who was a very fat man.
    
18. After Ehud had presented the tribute, he sent on their way the men who had carried it.
    
19. At the idols near Gilgal he himself turned back and said, "I have a secret message for you, O king." The king said, "Quiet!" And all his attendants left him.
    
20. Ehud then approached him while he was sitting alone in the upper room of his summer palace and said, "I have a message from God for you." As the king rose from his seat,
    

21. 에훗이 왼손으로 右便(우편) 다리에서 칼을 빼어 王(왕)의 몸을 찌르매
    
22. 칼자루도 날을 따라 들어가서 그 끝이 등뒤까지 나갔고 그가 칼을 그 몸에서 빼어내지 아니하였으므로 기름이 칼날에 엉기었더라
    
23. 에훗이 玄關(현관)에 나와서 다락門(문)들을 닫아 ^ㅑ잠그니라
    
24. 에훗이 나간 後(후)에 王(왕)의 臣下(신하)들이 와서 다락門(문)이 잠겼음을 보고 가로되 ^ㅓ王(왕)이 必然(필연) 다락房(방)에서 발을 가리우신다 하고
    
25. 그들이 오래 기다려도 王(왕)이 다락門(문)을 열지 아니하는지라 열쇠를 取(취)하여 열고 본즉 自己(자기) 主(주)가 이미 죽어 땅에 엎드러졌더라
    

21. Mas Aod metió su mano "izquierda," y tomó el puñal de su lado "derecho," y metióselo por el vientre;
    
22. De tal manera que la empuñadura entró también tras la "hoja," y la grosura encerró la "hoja," que él no sacó el puñal de su vientre: y salió el estiércol.
    
23. Y saliendo Aod al "patio," cerró tras sí las puertas de la sala.
    
24. Y salido "él," vinieron sus "siervos," los cuales viendo las puertas de la sala "cerradas," dijeron: Sin duda él cubre sus pies en la sala de verano.
    
25. Y habiendo esperado hasta estar "confusos," pues que él no abría las puertas de la "sala," tomaron la llave y abrieron: y he aquí su señor caído en tierra muerto.
    

21. Ehud reached with his left hand, drew the sword from his right thigh and plunged it into the king's belly.
    
22. Even the handle sank in after the blade, which came out his back. Ehud did not pull the sword out, and the fat closed in over it.
    
23. Then Ehud went out to the porch; he shut the doors of the upper room behind him and locked them.
    
24. After he had gone, the servants came and found the doors of the upper room locked. They said, "He must be relieving himself in the inner room of the house."
    
25. They waited to the point of embarrassment, but when he did not open the doors of the room, they took a key and unlocked them. There they saw their lord fallen to the floor, dead.
    

26. 그들의 기다리는 동안에 에훗이 避(피)하여 ^ㅕ돌 뜨는 곳을 지나 스이라로 逃亡(도망)하니라
    
27. 그가 이르러서는 ^ㅗ에브라임 山地(산지)에서 ^ㅛ나팔을 불매 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 山地(산지)에서 그를 따라 내려오니 에훗이 앞서 가며
    
28. 무리에게 이르되 나를 따르라 ^ㅜ여호와께서 너희 對敵(대적) 모압 사람을 너희의 손에 붙이셨느니라 하매 무리가 에훗을 따라 내려가서 모압 맞은便(편) ^ㅠ요단江(강) 나루를 잡아 지켜 한 사람도 건너지 못하게 하였고
    
29. 그 때에 모압 사람 一萬名(일만명) 假量(가량)을 죽였으니 다 力士(력사)요 勇士(용사)라 한 사람도 避(피)하지 못하였더라
    
30. 그날에 모압 사람이 이스라엘의 手下(수하)에 降服(항복)하매 ^으그 땅이 八十年(팔십년) 동안 泰平(태평)하였더라
    

26. Mas entre tanto que ellos se "detuvieron," Aod se "escapó," y pasando los "ídolos," salvóse en Seirath.
    
27. Y como hubo "entrado," tocó el cuerno en el monte de "Ephraim," y los hijos de Israel descendieron con él del "monte," y él iba delante de ellos.
    
28. Entonces él les dijo: "Seguidme," porque Jehová ha entregado vuestros enemigos los Moabitas en vuestras manos. Y descendieron en pos de "él," y tomaron los vados del Jordán á "Moab," y no dejaron pasar á ninguno.
    
29. Y en aquel tiempo hirieron de los Moabitas como diez mil "hombres," todos valientes y todos hombres de guerra; no escapó hombre.
    
30. Así quedó Moab sojuzgado aquel día bajo la mano de Israel: y reposó la tierra ochenta años.
    

26. While they waited, Ehud got away. He passed by the idols and escaped to Seirah.
    
27. When he arrived there, he blew a trumpet in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went down with him from the hills, with him leading them.
    
28. "Follow me," he ordered, "for the LORD has given Moab, your enemy, into your hands." So they followed him down and, taking possession of the fords of the Jordan that led to Moab, they allowed no one to cross over.
    
29. At that time they struck down about ten thousand Moabites, all vigorous and strong; not a man escaped.
    
30. That day Moab was made subject to Israel, and the land had peace for eighty years.
    

31. 에훗의 後(후)에 아낫의 아들 ^이삼갈이 士師(사사)로 있어 ^ㅐ소 모는 막대기로 블레셋 사람 六百名(육백명)을 죽였고 그도 ^ㄱ이스라엘을 救援(구원)하였더라
    

31. Después de éste fué Samgar hijo de "Anat," el cual hirió seiscientos hombres de los Filisteos con una aguijada de bueyes; y él también salvó á Israel.
    

31. After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who struck down six hundred Philistines with an oxgoad. He too saved Israel.
