사사기(Jueces) 9장 [개역한글 : RV1909 : NIV]

1. 여룹바알의 아들 아비멜렉이 세겜에 가서 ^ㅂ그 어미의 兄弟(형제)에게 이르러 그들과 外祖父(외조부)의 온 家族(가족)에게 말하여 가로되
   
2. 請(청)하노니 너희는 세겜 사람들의 귀에 말하라 여룹바알의 아들 ^ㅅ七十人(칠십인)이 다 너희를 다스림과 한 사람이 너희를 다스림이 어느 것이 너희에게 나으냐 또 나는 너희의 ^ㅇ骨肉之親(골육지친)임을 생각하라
   
3. 그 어미의 兄弟(형제)들이 그를 爲(위)하여 이 모든 말을 온 세겜 사람들의 귀에 告(고)하매 그들의 마음이 아비멜렉에게로 기울어서 말하기를 ^ㅈ그는 우리 兄弟(형제)라 하고
   
4. ^ㅊ바알브릿 廟(묘)에서 銀(은) 七十個(칠십개)를 내어 그에게 주매 아비멜렉이 그것으로 ^ㅋ放蕩(방탕)하고 輕薄(경박)한 類(유)를 사서 自己(자기)를 좇게 하고
   
5. ^ㅌ오브라에 있는 그 아비의 집으로 가서 ^ㅍ여룹바알의 아들 곧 自己(자기) 兄弟(형제) 七十人(칠십인)을 한 磐石(반석) 위에서 죽였으되 오직 여룹바알의 말째 아들 요담은 스스로 숨었으므로 남으니라
   

1. Y FUÉSE Abimelech hijo de Jerobaal á "Sichêm," á los hermanos de su "madre," y habló con "ellos," y con toda la familia de la casa del padre de su "madre," diciendo:
   
2. Yo os ruego que habléis á oídos de todos los de Sichêm: ¿Qué tenéis por "mejor," que os señoreen setenta "hombres," todos los hijos de Jerobaal; ó que os señoree un varón? Acordaos que yo soy hueso "vuestro," y carne vuestra.
   
3. Y hablaron por él los hermanos de su madre á oídos de todos los de Sichêm todas estas palabras: y el corazón de ellos se inclinó en favor de "Abimelech," porque decían: Nuestro hermano es.
   
4. Y diéronle setenta siclos de plata del templo de "Baal-berith," con los cuales Abimelech alquiló hombres ociosos y "vagabundos," que le siguieron.
   
5. Y viniendo á la casa de su padre en "Ophra," mató á sus hermanos los hijos de "Jerobaal," setenta "varones," sobre una piedra: mas quedó "Jotham," el más pequeño hijo de "Jerobaal," que se escondió.
   

1. Abimelech son of Jerub-Baal went to his mother's brothers in Shechem and said to them and to all his mother's clan,
   
2. "Ask all the citizens of Shechem, 'Which is better for you: to have all seventy of Jerub-Baal's sons rule over you, or just one man?' Remember, I am your flesh and blood."
   
3. When the brothers repeated all this to the citizens of Shechem, they were inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "He is our brother."
   
4. They gave him seventy shekels of silver from the temple of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech used it to hire reckless adventurers, who became his followers.
   
5. He went to his father's home in Ophrah and on one stone murdered his seventy brothers, the sons of Jerub-Baal. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerub-Baal, escaped by hiding.
   

6. 세겜 모든 사람과 ^ㅎ밀로 모든 族屬(족속)이 모여 가서 세겜에 있는 기둥 상수리나무 아래서 아비멜렉으로 王(왕)을 삼으니라
   
7. 或(혹)이 요담에게 그 일을 告(고)하매 요담이 ^ㅏ그리심山(산) 꼭대기로 가서 서서 소리를 높이 외쳐 그들에게 이르되 세겜 사람들아 나를 들으라 그리하여야 하나님이 너희를 들으시리라
   
8. 하루는 ^ㅑ나무들이 나가서 기름을 부어 王(왕)을 삼으려 하여 橄欖(감람)나무에게 이르되 ^ㅓ너는 우리 王(왕)이 되라 하매
   
9. 橄欖(감람)나무가 그들에게 이르되 나의 기름은 하나님과 사람을 榮華(영화)롭게 하나니 내가 어찌 그것을 버리고 가서 나무들 위에 搖動(요동)하리요 한지라
   
10. 나무들이 또 無花果(무화과)나무에게 이르되 너는 와서 우리의 王(왕)이 되라 하매
    

6. Y reunidos todos los de Sichêm con toda la casa de "Millo," fueron y eligieron á Abimelech por "rey," cerca de la llanura del pilar que estaba en Sichêm.
   
7. Y como se lo dijesen á "Jotham," fué y púsose en la cumbre del monte de "Gerizim," y alzando su voz "clamó," y díjoles: "Oidme," varones de Sichêm; que Dios os oiga.
   
8. Fueron los árboles á elegir rey sobre "sí," y dijeron á la oliva: Reina sobre nosotros.
   
9. Mas la oliva respondió: ¿Tengo de dejar mi pingüe "jugo," con el que por mi causa Dios y los hombres son "honrados," por ir á ser grande sobre los árboles?
   
10. Y dijeron los árboles á la higuera: Anda "tú," reina sobre nosotros.
    

6. Then all the citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo gathered beside the great tree at the pillar in Shechem to crown Abimelech king.
   
7. When Jotham was told about this, he climbed up on the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted to them, "Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, so that God may listen to you.
   
8. One day the trees went out to anoint a king for themselves. They said to the olive tree, 'Be our king.'
   
9. "But the olive tree answered, 'Should I give up my oil, by which both gods and men are honored, to hold sway over the trees?'
   
10. "Next, the trees said to the fig tree, 'Come and be our king.'
    

11. 無花果(무화과)나무가 그들에게 이르되 나의 단것, 나의 아름다운 實果(실과)를 내가 어찌 버리고 가서 나무들 위에 搖動(요동)하리요 한지라
    
12. 나무들이 또 葡萄(포도)나무에게 이르되 너는 와서 우리의 王(왕)이 되라 하매
    
13. 葡萄(포도)나무가 그들에게 이르되 하나님과 사람을 기쁘게 하는 나의 ^ㅕ새 술을 내가 어찌 버리고 가서 나무들 위에 搖動(요동)하리요 한지라
    
14. 이에 모든 나무가 가시나무에게 이르되 너는 와서 우리의 王(왕)이 되라 하매
    
15. 가시나무가 나무들에게 이르되 너희가 참으로 내게 기름을 부어 너희 王(왕)을 삼겠거든 와서 ^ㅗ내 그늘에 避(피)하라 그리하지 아니하면 ^ㅛ불이 가시나무에서 나와서 ^ㅜ레바논의 柏香木(백향목)을 사를 것이니라 하였느니라
    

11. Y respondió la higuera: ¿Tengo de dejar mi dulzura y mi buen "fruto," por ir á ser grande sobre los árboles?
    
12. Dijeron luego los árboles á la vid: Pues ven "tú," reina sobre nosotros.
    
13. Y la vid les respondió: ¿Tengo de dejar mi "mosto," que alegra á Dios y á los "hombres," por ir á ser grande sobre los árboles?
    
14. Dijeron entonces todos los árboles al escaramujo: Anda "tú," reina sobre nosotros.
    
15. Y el escaramujo respondió á los árboles: Si en verdad me elegís por rey sobre "vosotros," "venid," y aseguraos debajo de mi sombra: y si "no," fuego salga del escaramujo que devore los cedros del Líbano.
    

11. "But the fig tree replied, 'Should I give up my fruit, so good and sweet, to hold sway over the trees?'
    
12. "Then the trees said to the vine, 'Come and be our king.'
    
13. "But the vine answered, 'Should I give up my wine, which cheers both gods and men, to hold sway over the trees?'
    
14. "Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, 'Come and be our king.'
    
15. "The thornbush said to the trees, 'If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let fire come out of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!'
    

16. 이제 너희가 아비멜렉을 세워 王(왕)을 삼았으니 너희 行(행)한것이 果然(과연) 眞實(진실)하고 義(의)로우냐 이것이 ^ㅠ여룹바알과 그 집을 善待(선대)함이냐 이것이 그 ^으行(행)한대로 그에게 報答(보답)함이냐
    
17. 우리 아버지가 前(전)에 죽음을 무릅쓰고 너희를 爲(위)하여 싸워 미디안의 손에서 너희를 건져내었거늘
    
18. 너희가 오늘날 일어나서 우리 아버지의 집을 쳐서 ^이그 아들 七十人(칠십인)을 한 磐石(반석) 위에서 죽이고 그 女(여)종의 아들 ^ㅐ아비멜렉이 ^ㄱ너희 兄弟(형제)가 된다고 그를 세워 세겜 사람의 王(왕)을 삼았도다
    
19. 萬一(만일) 너희가 오늘날 여룹바알과 그 집을 待接(대접)한 것이 眞實(진실)과 義(의)로움이면 너희가 ^ㄴ아비멜렉을 因(인)하여 즐길 것이요 아비멜렉도 너희를 因(인)하여 즐기려니와
    
20. 그렇지 아니하면 ^ㄷ아비멜렉에게서 불이 나와서 세겜 사람들과 밀로 族屬(족속)을 사를 것이요 세겜 사람들과 밀로 族屬(족속)에게서도 불이 나와서 아비멜렉을 사를 것이니라 하고
    

16. Ahora "pues," si con verdad y con integridad habéis procedido en hacer rey á "Abimelech," y si lo habéis hecho bien con Jerobaal y con su "casa," y si le habéis pagado conforme á la obra de sus manos;
    
17. (Pues que mi padre peleó por "vosotros," y echó lejos su vida por libraros de mano de Madián;
    
18. Y vosotros os levantasteis hoy contra la casa de mi "padre," y matasteis sus "hijos," setenta "varones," sobre una piedra; y habéis puesto por rey sobre los de Sichêm á "Abimelech," hijo de su "criada," por cuanto es vuestro hermano:)
    
19. Si con verdad y con integridad habéis obrado hoy con Jerobaal y con su "casa," que gocéis de "Abimelech," y él goce de vosotros.
    
20. Y si "no," fuego salga de "Abimelech," que consuma á los de Sichêm y á la casa de Millo; y fuego salga de los de Sichêm y de la casa de "Millo," que consuma á Abimelech.
    

16. "Now if you have acted honorably and in good faith when you made Abimelech king, and if you have been fair to Jerub-Baal and his family, and if you have treated him as he deserves--
    
17. and to think that my father fought for you, risked his life to rescue you from the hand of Midian
    
18. (but today you have revolted against my father's family, murdered his seventy sons on a single stone, and made Abimelech, the son of his slave girl, king over the citizens of Shechem because he is your brother)--
    
19. if then you have acted honorably and in good faith toward Jerub-Baal and his family today, may Abimelech be your joy, and may you be his, too!
    
20. But if you have not, let fire come out from Abimelech and consume you, citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo, and let fire come out from you, citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo, and consume Abimelech!"
    

21. 요담이 그 兄弟(형제) 아비멜렉을 두려워하여 달려 逃亡(도망)하여 ^ㄹ브엘로 가서 거기 居(거)하니라
    
22. 아비멜렉이 이스라엘을 다스린지 三年(삼년)에
    
23. ^ㅁ하나님이 아비멜렉과 세겜 사람들 사이에 惡(악)한 神(신)을 보내시매 세겜 사람들이 ^ㅂ아비멜렉을 背叛(배반)하였으니
    
24. ^ㅅ이는 여룹바알의 아들 七十人(칠십인)에게 行(행)한 暴虐(포학)한 일을 갚되 그 兄弟(형제)를 죽여 피 흘린 罪(죄)를 아비멜렉과 아비멜렉의 손을 도와서 그 兄弟(형제)를 죽이게 한 세겜 사람에게로 돌아가게 하심이라
    
25. 세겜 사람들이 山(산)들 꼭대기에 사람을 埋伏(매복)하여 아비멜렉을 엿보게 하고 무릇 그 길로 지나는 者(자)를 다 劫奪(겁탈)하게 하니 或(혹)이 그것을 아비멜렉에게 告(고)하니라
    

21. Y huyó "Jotham," y se "fugó," y fuése á "Beer," y allí se estuvo por causa de Abimelech su hermano.
    
22. Y después que Abimelech hubo dominado sobre Israel tres "años,"
    
23. Envió Dios un espíritu malo entre Abimelech y los hombres de Sichêm: que los de Sichêm se levantaron contra Abimelech:
    
24. Para que el agravio de los setenta hijos de "Jerobaal," y la sangre de "ellos," viniera á ponerse sobre Abimelech su hermano que los "mató," y sobre los hombres de Sichêm que corroboraron las manos de él para matar á sus hermanos.
    
25. Y pusiéronle los de Sichêm asechadores en las cumbres de los "montes," los cuales salteaban á todos los que pasaban junto á ellos por el camino; de lo que fué dado aviso á Abimelech.
    

21. Then Jotham fled, escaping to Beer, and he lived there because he was afraid of his brother Abimelech.
    
22. After Abimelech had governed Israel three years,
    
23. God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the citizens of Shechem, who acted treacherously against Abimelech.
    
24. God did this in order that the crime against Jerub-Baal's seventy sons, the shedding of their blood, might be avenged on their brother Abimelech and on the citizens of Shechem, who had helped him murder his brothers.
    
25. In opposition to him these citizens of Shechem set men on the hilltops to ambush and rob everyone who passed by, and this was reported to Abimelech.
    

26. 에벳의 아들 가알이 그 兄弟(형제)로 더불어 세겜에 이르니 세겜 사람들이 그를 依賴(의뢰)하니라
    
27. 그들이 밭에 가서 葡萄(포도)를 거두어다가 밟아 짜서 宴會(연회)를 排設(배설)하고 ^ㅇ그 神堂(신당)에 들어가서 먹고 마시며 아비멜렉을 詛呪(저주)하니
    
28. 에벳의 아들 가알이 가로되 ^ㅈ아비멜렉은 누구며 세겜은 누구기에 우리가 아비멜렉을 섬기리요 그가 여룹바알의 아들이 아니냐 그 長官(장관)은 스불이 아니냐 차라리 ^ㅊ세겜의 아비 하몰의 後孫(후손)을 섬길 것이라 우리가 어찌 아비멜렉을 섬기리요
    
29. 아하, 이 百姓(백성)이 내 手下(수하)에 있었더면 내가 아비멜렉을 除(제)하였으리라 하고 아비멜렉에게 네 軍隊(군대)를 더하고 나오라고 말하니라
    
30. 그 城邑(성읍) 長官(장관) 스불이 에벳의 아들 가알의 말을 듣고 怒(노)하여
    

26. Y Gaal hijo de Ebed vino con sus "hermanos," y pasáronse á Sichêm: y los de Sichêm se confiaron en él.
    
27. Y saliendo al "campo," vendimiaron sus "viñas," y pisaron la "uva," é hicieron alegrías; y entrando en el templo de sus "dioses," comieron y "bebieron," y maldijeron á Abimelech.
    
28. Y Gaal hijo de Ebed dijo: ¿Quién es Abimelech y qué es "Sichêm," para que nosotros á él sirvamos? ¿no es hijo de Jerobaal? ¿y no es Zebul su asistente? Servid á los varones de Hemor padre de Sichêm: mas ¿por qué habíamos de servir á él?
    
29. Fuérame dado este pueblo bajo de mi "mano," yo echaría luego á Abimelech. Y decía á Abimelech: Aumenta tus "escuadrones," y sal.
    
30. Y Zebul asistente de la "ciudad," oyendo las palabras de Gaal hijo de "Ebed," encendióse su ira;
    

26. Now Gaal son of Ebed moved with his brothers into Shechem, and its citizens put their confidence in him.
    
27. After they had gone out into the fields and gathered the grapes and trodden them, they held a festival in the temple of their god. While they were eating and drinking, they cursed Abimelech.
    
28. Then Gaal son of Ebed said, "Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should be subject to him? Isn't he Jerub-Baal's son, and isn't Zebul his deputy? Serve the men of Hamor, Shechem's father! Why should we serve Abimelech?
    
29. If only this people were under my command! Then I would get rid of him. I would say to Abimelech, 'Call out your whole army!'"
    
30. When Zebul the governor of the city heard what Gaal son of Ebed said, he was very angry.
    

31. 使者(사자)를 아비멜렉에게 가만히 보내어 가로되 보소서 에벳의 아들 가알과 그 兄弟(형제)가 세겜에 이르러 城邑(성읍) 무리를 衝動(충동)하여 當身(당신)을 對敵(대적)하게 하나니
    
32. 當身(당신)은 當身(당신)을 좇은 百姓(백성)으로 더불어 밤에 일어나서 밭에 埋伏(매복)하였다가
    
33. 아침 해 뜰 때에 當身(당신)은 일찌기 일어나 이 城邑(성읍)을 掩襲(엄습)하면 가알과 그를 좇은 百姓(백성)이 나와서 當身(당신)을 對敵(대적)하리니 ^ㅋ當身(당신)은 機會(기회)를 보아 그들에게 行(행)하소서
    
34. 아비멜렉과 그를 좇은 모든 百姓(백성)이 밤에 일어나 네 떼로 나눠 세겜을 對(대)하여 埋伏(매복)하였더니
    
35. 에벳의 아들 가알이 나와서 城邑(성읍) 門(문) 入口(입구)에 설 때에 아비멜렉과 그를 좇은 百姓(백성)이 埋伏(매복)하였던 곳에서 일어난지라
    

31. Y envió sagazmente mensajeros á "Abimelech," diciendo: He aquí que Gaal hijo de Ebed y sus hermanos han venido á "Sichêm," y he "aquí," que han cercado la ciudad contra ti.
    
32. Levántate pues ahora de "noche," tú y el pueblo que está "contigo," y pon emboscada en el campo:
    
33. Y por la mañana al salir del sol te levantarás y acometerás la ciudad: y él y el pueblo que está con él saldrán contra "ti," y tu harás con él según que se te ofrecerá.
    
34. Levantándose pues de noche Abimelech y todo el pueblo que con él "estaba," pusieron emboscada contra Sichêm con cuatro compañías.
    
35. Y Gaal hijo de Ebed "salió," y púsose á la entrada de la puerta de la ciudad: y Abimelech y todo el pueblo que con él "estaba," se levantaron de la emboscada.
    

31. Under cover he sent messengers to Abimelech, saying, "Gaal son of Ebed and his brothers have come to Shechem and are stirring up the city against you.
    
32. Now then, during the night you and your men should come and lie in wait in the fields.
    
33. In the morning at sunrise, advance against the city. When Gaal and his men come out against you, do whatever your hand finds to do."
    
34. So Abimelech and all his troops set out by night and took up concealed positions near Shechem in four companies.
    
35. Now Gaal son of Ebed had gone out and was standing at the entrance to the city gate just as Abimelech and his soldiers came out from their hiding place.
    

36. 가알이 그 百姓(백성)을 보고 스불에게 이르되 보라, 百姓(백성)이 ^ㅌ山(산) 꼭대기에서부터 내려오는도다 스불이 그에게 對答(대답)하되 네가 山(산) 그림자를 사람으로 보았느니라
    
37. 가알이 다시 말하여 가로되 보라, 百姓(백성)이 ^ㅍ밭 가운데로 좇아 내려오고 또 한 떼는 므오느님 상수리나무 길로 좇아 오는도다
    
38. 스불이 그에게 이르되 네가 前(전)에 말하기를 ^ㅎ아비멜렉이 누군데 우리가 그를 섬기리요 하던 그 입이 이제 어디 있느냐 이가 너의 업신여기던 百姓(백성)이 아니냐 請(청)하노니 이제 나가서 그들과 싸우라
    
39. 가알이 세겜 사람들의 앞서 나가서 아비멜렉과 싸우다가
    
40. 아비멜렉에게 쫓겨 그 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하였고 傷(상)하여 엎드러진 者(자)가 많아서 城門(성문) 入口(입구)까지 이르렀더라
    

36. Y viendo Gaal el "pueblo," dijo á Zebul: He allí pueblo que desciende de las cumbres de los montes. Y Zebul le respondió: La sombra de los montes te parece hombres.
    
37. Mas Gaal tornó á "hablar," y dijo: He allí pueblo que desciende por medio de la "tierra," y un escuadrón viene camino de la campiña de Meonenim.
    
38. Y Zebul le respondió: ¿Dónde está ahora aquel tu "hablar," diciendo; Quién es Abimelech para que le sirvamos? ¿No es este el pueblo que tenías en poco? Sal pues "ahora," y pelea con él.
    
39. Y Gaal salió delante de los de "Sichêm," y peleó contra Abimelech.
    
40. Mas persiguiólo "Abimelech," delante del cual él huyó; y cayeron heridos muchos hasta la entrada de la puerta.
    

36. When Gaal saw them, he said to Zebul, "Look, people are coming down from the tops of the mountains!" Zebul replied, "You mistake the shadows of the mountains for men."
    
37. But Gaal spoke up again: "Look, people are coming down from the center of the land, and a company is coming from the direction of the soothsayers' tree."
    
38. Then Zebul said to him, "Where is your big talk now, you who said, 'Who is Abimelech that we should be subject to him?' Aren't these the men you ridiculed? Go out and fight them!"
    
39. So Gaal led out the citizens of Shechem and fought Abimelech.
    
40. Abimelech chased him, and many fell wounded in the flight--all the way to the entrance to the gate.
    

41. 아비멜렉은 아루마에 居(거)하고 스불은 가알과 그 兄弟(형제)를 쫓아내어 세겜에 居(거)하지 못하게 하더니
    
42. 이튿날 百姓(백성)이 밭으로 나오매 或(혹)이 그것을 아비멜렉에게 告(고)하니라
    
43. 아비멜렉이 自己(자기) 百姓(백성)을 세 떼로 나눠 밭에 埋伏(매복)하였더니 百姓(백성)이 城(성)에서 나오는 것을 보고 일어나서 그들을 치되
    
44. 아비멜렉과 그를 좇은 떼는 ^ㅏ앞으로 달려가서 城門(성문) 入口(입구)에 서고 그 나머지 두 떼는 밭에 있는 모든 者(자)에게 달려들어 그들을 죽이니
    
45. 아비멜렉이 그날 終日(종일)토록 그 城(성)을 쳐서 畢竟(필경)은 取(취)하고 거기 있는 百姓(백성)을 죽이며 ^ㅑ그 城(성)을 헐고 ^ㅓ소금을 뿌리니라
    

41. Y Abimilech se quedó en Aruma; y Zebul echó fuera á Gaal y á sus "hermanos," para que no morasen en Sichêm.
    
42. Y aconteció al siguiente "día," que el pueblo salió al campo: y fué dado aviso á Abimelech.
    
43. El "cual," tomando "gente," repartióla en tres "compañías," y puso emboscadas en el campo: y como "miró," he aquí el pueblo que salía de la ciudad; y levantóse contra "ellos," é hiriólos:
    
44. Pues Abimelech y el escuadrón que estaba con "él," acometieron con "ímpetu," y pararon á la entrada de la puerta de la ciudad; y las dos compañías acometieron á todos los que estaban en el "campo," y los hirieron.
    
45. Y después de combatir Abimelech la ciudad todo aquel "día," "tomóla," y mató el pueblo que en ella "estaba," y asoló la "ciudad," y sembróla de sal.
    

41. Abimelech stayed in Arumah, and Zebul drove Gaal and his brothers out of Shechem.
    
42. The next day the people of Shechem went out to the fields, and this was reported to Abimelech.
    
43. So he took his men, divided them into three companies and set an ambush in the fields. When he saw the people coming out of the city, he rose to attack them.
    
44. Abimelech and the companies with him rushed forward to a position at the entrance to the city gate. Then two companies rushed upon those in the fields and struck them down.
    
45. All that day Abimelech pressed his attack against the city until he had captured it and killed its people. Then he destroyed the city and scattered salt over it.
    

46. 세겜 望臺(망대)의 사람들이 이를 듣고 ^ㅕ엘브릿 神堂(신당)의 ^ㅗ保障(보장)으로 들어갔더니
    
47. 세겜 望臺(망대)의 모든 사람의 모인 것이 아비멜렉에게 들리매
    
48. 아비멜렉과 그를 좇은 모든 百姓(백성)이 ^ㅛ살몬山(산)에 오르고 아비멜렉이 손에 도끼를 들고 나무가지를 찍고 그것을 가져 自己(자기) 어깨에 메고 좇은 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 너희는 나의 行(행)하는 것을 보나니 빨리 나와 같이 行(행)하라 하니
    
49. 모든 百姓(백성)도 各各(각각) 나무가지를 찍어서 아비멜렉을 좇아 ^ㅜ保障(보장)에 대어 놓고 그곳에 불을 놓으매 세겜 望臺(망대)에 있는 사람들도 다 죽었으니 男女(남녀)가 大略(대략) 一千名(일천명)이었더라
    
50. 아비멜렉이 데베스에 가서 데베스를 對(대)하여 陣(진) 치고 그것을 取(취)하였더니
    

46. Como oyeron esto todos los que estaban en la torre de "Sichêm," entráronse en la fortaleza del templo del dios Berith.
    
47. Y fué dicho á Abimelech como todos los de la torre de Sichêm estaban reunidos.
    
48. Entonces subió Abimelech al monte de "Salmón," él y toda la gente que con él estaba; y tomó Abimelech un hacha en su "mano," y cortó una rama de los "árboles," y levantándola púsosela sobre sus "hombros," diciendo al pueblo que estaba con él: Lo que me veis á mí que "hago," haced vosotros prestamente como yo.
    
49. Y así todo el pueblo cortó también cada uno su "rama," y siguieron á "Abimelech," y pusiéronlas junto á la "fortaleza," y prendieron fuego con ellas á la fortaleza: por manera que todos los de la torre de Sichêm "murieron," como unos mil hombres y mujeres.
    
50. Después Abimelech se fué á Thebes; y puso cerco á "Thebes," y tomóla.
    

46. On hearing this, the citizens in the tower of Shechem went into the stronghold of the temple of El-Berith.
    
47. When Abimelech heard that they had assembled there,
    
48. he and all his men went up Mount Zalmon. He took an ax and cut off some branches, which he lifted to his shoulders. He ordered the men with him, "Quick! Do what you have seen me do!"
    
49. So all the men cut branches and followed Abimelech. They piled them against the stronghold and set it on fire over the people inside. So all the people in the tower of Shechem, about a thousand men and women, also died.
    
50. Next Abimelech went to Thebez and besieged it and captured it.
    

51. 城中(성중)에 堅固(견고)한 望臺(망대)가 있으므로 그 城(성) 百姓(백성)의 男女(남녀)가 모두 그리로 逃亡(도망)하여 들어가서 門(문)을 잠그고 望臺(망대) 꼭대기로 올라간지라
    
52. 아비멜렉이 망대 앞에 이르러서 치며 망대의 문에 가까이 나아가서 그것을 불 사르려 하더니
    
53. ^ㅠ한 女人(녀인)이 맷돌 윗짝을 아비멜렉의 머리 위에 내려던져 그 頭骨(두골)을 깨뜨리니
    
54. ^으아비멜렉이 自己(자기)의 兵器(병기) 잡은 少年(소년)을 急(급)히 불러 그에게 이르되 너는 칼을 빼어 나를 죽이라 사람들이 나를 가리켜 이르기를 그가 女人(녀인)에게 죽었다 할까 하노라 少年(소년)이 찌르매 그가 곧 죽은지라
    
55. 이스라엘 사람들이 아비멜렉의 죽은 것을 보고 各各(각각) 自己(자기) 處所(처소)로 떠나갔더라
    

51. En medio de aquella ciudad había una torre "fuerte," á la cual se retiraron todos los hombres y "mujeres," y todos los señores de la ciudad; y cerrando tras sí las "puertas," subiéronse al piso alto de la torre.
    
52. Y vino Abimelech á la "torre," y "combatiéndola," llegóse á la puerta de la torre para pegarle fuego.
    
53. Mas una mujer dejó caer un pedazo de una rueda de molino sobre la cabeza de "Abimelech," y quebróle los cascos.
    
54. Y luego llamó él á su "escudero," y díjole: Saca tu espada y "mátame," porque no se diga de mí: Una mujer lo mató. Y su escudero le "atravesó," y murió.
    
55. Y como los Israelitas vieron muerto á "Abimelech," fuéronse cada uno á su casa.
    

51. Inside the city, however, was a strong tower, to which all the men and women--all the people of the city--fled. They locked themselves in and climbed up on the tower roof.
    
52. Abimelech went to the tower and stormed it. But as he approached the entrance to the tower to set it on fire,
    
53. a woman dropped an upper millstone on his head and cracked his skull.
    
54. Hurriedly he called to his armor-bearer, "Draw your sword and kill me, so that they can't say, 'A woman killed him.'" So his servant ran him through, and he died.
    
55. When the Israelites saw that Abimelech was dead, they went home.
    

56. 아비멜렉이 그 兄弟(형제) 七十人(칠십인)을 죽여 自己(자기) 아비에게 行(행)한 惡(악)을 하나님이 ^이이같이 갚으셨고
    
57. 또 세겜 사람들의 모든 惡(악)을 하나님이 그들의 머리에 갚으셨으니 여룹바알의 아들 ^ㅐ요담의 詛呪(저주)가 그들에게 應(응)하니라
    

56. Así pues pagó Dios á Abimelech el mal que hizo contra su padre matando á sus setenta hermanos.
    
57. Y aun todo el mal de los hombres de Sichêm tornó Dios sobre sus cabezas: y la maldición de "Jotham," hijo de "Jerobaal," vino sobre ellos.
    

56. Thus God repaid the wickedness that Abimelech had done to his father by murdering his seventy brothers.
    
57. God also made the men of Shechem pay for all their wickedness. The curse of Jotham son of Jerub-Baal came on them.
