^ㅋ유다와 베냐민의 對敵(대적)이 사로잡혔던 者(자)의 子孫(자손)이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 殿(전)을 建築(건축)한다 함을 듣고

스룹바벨과 族長(족장)들에게 나아와 이르되 우리로 너희와 함께 建築(건축)하게 하라 우리도 너희같이 너희 하나님을 求(구)하노라 앗수르 王(왕) ^ㅌ에살핫돈이 ^ㅍ우리를 이리로 오게한 ^ㅎ날부터 우리가 하나님께 祭祀(제사)를 드리노라

스룹바벨과 예수아와 其他(기타) 이스라엘 族長(족장)들이 이르되 우리 하나님의 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하는데 ^ㅏ너희는 우리와 相關(상관)이 없느니라 ^ㅑ바사 王(왕) 고레스가 우리에게 命(명)하신 대로 우리가 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 홀로 建築(건축)하리라 하였더니

이로부터 ^ㅓ그 땅 百姓(백성)이 유다 百姓(백성)의 손을 弱(약)하게 하여 그 建築(건축)을 妨害(방해)하되

바사 王(왕) 고레스의 時代(시대)부터 바사 王(왕) 다리오가 卽位(즉위)할 때까지 議士(의사)들에게 賂物(뢰물)을 주어 그 經營(경영)을 沮戱(저희)하였으며

Les ennemis de Juda et de Benjamin apprirent que les fils de la captivité bâtissaient un temple à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.

Ils vinrent auprès de Zorobabel et des chefs de familles, et leur dirent: Nous bâtirons avec vous; car, comme vous, nous invoquons votre Dieu, et nous lui offrons des sacrifices depuis le temps d'Ésar Haddon, roi d'Assyrie, qui nous a fait monter ici.

Mais Zorobabel, Josué, et les autres chefs des familles d'Israël, leur répondirent: Ce n'est pas à vous et à nous de bâtir la maison de notre Dieu; nous la bâtirons nous seuls à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, comme nous l'a ordonné le roi Cyrus, roi de Perse.

Alors les gens du pays découragèrent le peuple de Juda; ils l'intimidèrent pour l'empêcher de bâtir,

et ils gagnèrent à prix d'argent des conseillers pour faire échouer son entreprise. Il en fut ainsi pendant toute la vie de Cyrus, roi de Perse, et jusqu'au règne de Darius, roi de Perse.

When the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the exiles were building a temple for the LORD, the God of Israel,

they came to Zerubbabel and to the heads of the families and said, "Let us help you build because, like you, we seek your God and have been sacrificing to him since the time of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here."

But Zerubbabel, Jeshua and the rest of the heads of the families of Israel answered, "You have no part with us in building a temple to our God. We alone will build it for the LORD, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia, commanded us."

Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building.

They hired counselors to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.

또 ^ㅕ아하수에로가 卽位(즉위)할 때에 저희가 글을 올려 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)을 告訴(고소)하니라

아닥사스다 때에 비슬람과, ^ㅗ미드르닷과, 다브엘과, 그 同僚(동료)들이 바사王(왕) 아닥사스다에게 글을 올렸으니 그 글은 아람 文字(문자)와 ^ㅛ아람 方言(방언)으로 써서 陳述(진술)하였더라

方伯(방백) 르훔과, 書記官(서기관) 심새가 아닥사스다王(왕)에게 올려 예루살렘 百姓(백성)을 告訴(고소)한 그 글에

方伯(방백) 르훔과 書記官(서기관) 심새와 그 同僚(동료) ^ㅜ디나 사람과, ^ㅠ아바삿 사람과, 다블래 사람과, 아바새 사람과, 아렉 사람과, 바벨론 사람과, 수산 사람과, 데해 사람과, ^으엘람 사람과,

其他(기타) 百姓(백성) 곧 尊貴(존귀)한 ^이오스납발이 사마리아 城(성)과 江(강) 西便(서편) 다른 땅에 옮겨 둔 者(자)들과 ^ㅐ함께 告(고)한다 하였더라

Sous le règne d'Assuérus, au commencement de son règne, ils écrivirent une accusation contre les habitants de Juda et de Jérusalem.

Et du temps d'Artaxerxès, Bischlam, Mithredath, Thabeel, et le reste de leurs collègues, écrivirent à Artaxerxès, roi de Perse. La lettre fut transcrite en caractères araméens et traduite en araméen.

Rehum, gouverneur, et Schimschaï, secrétaire écrivirent au roi Artaxerxès la lettre suivante concernant Jérusalem:

Rehum, gouverneur, Schimschaï, secrétaire, et le reste de leurs collègues, ceux de Din, d'Arpharsathac, de Tharpel, d'Apharas, d'Érec, de Babylone, de Suse, de Déha, d'Élam,

et les autres peuples que le grand et illustre Osnappar a transportés et établis dans la ville de Samarie et autres lieux de ce côté du fleuve, etc.

At the beginning of the reign of Xerxes, they lodged an accusation against the people of Judah and Jerusalem.

And in the days of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel and the rest of his associates wrote a letter to Artaxerxes. The letter was written in Aramaic script and in the Aramaic language.

Rehum the commanding officer and Shimshai the secretary wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king as follows:

Rehum the commanding officer and Shimshai the secretary, together with the rest of their associates--the judges and officials over the men from Tripolis, Persia, Erech and Babylon, the Elamites of Susa,

and the other people whom the great and honorable Ashurbanipal deported and settled in the city of Samaria and elsewhere in Trans-Euphrates.

아닥사스다王(왕)에게 올린 그 글의 抄本(초본)은 이러하니 江(강) 西便(서편)에 있는 臣僕(신복)들은

王(왕)에게 告(고)하나이다 王(왕)에게서 올라온 유다 사람들이 우리의 곳 예루살렘에 이르러 이 悖逆(패역)하고 惡(악)한 城邑(성읍)을 建築(건축)하는데 이미 그 地臺(지대)를 修築(수축)하고 ^ㄱ城郭(성곽)을 建築(건축)하오니

이제 王(왕)은 아시옵소서 萬一(만일) 이 城邑(성읍)을 建築(건축)하며 그 城郭(성곽)을 마치면 저 무리가 다시는 ^ㄴ朝貢(조공)과 雜稅(잡세)와 賦稅(부세)를 바치지 아니하리니 畢竟(필경) 王(왕)들에게 損害(손해)가 되리이다

우리가 이제 宮(궁)의 소금을 먹는 故(고)로 王(왕)의 羞恥(수치) 當(당)함을 참아 보지 못하여 보내어 王(왕)에게 告(고)하오니

王(왕)은 列祖(열조)의 史記(사기)를 살피시면 그 史記(사기)에서 이 城邑(성읍)은 悖逆(패역)한 城邑(성읍)이라 예로부터 그 中(중)에서 恒常(항상) 叛逆(반역)하는 일을 行(행)하여 列王(열왕)과 各(각) 道(도)에 損害(손해)가 된 것을 보시고 아실지라 이 城邑(성읍)이 毁破(훼파)됨도 이 까닭이니이다

C'est ici la copie de la lettre qu'ils envoyèrent au roi Artaxerxès: Tes serviteurs, les gens de ce côté du fleuve, etc.

Que le roi sache que les Juifs partis de chez toi et arrivés parmi nous à Jérusalem rebâtissent la ville rebelle et méchante, en relèvent les murs et en restaurent les fondements.

Que le roi sache donc que, si cette ville est rebâtie et si ses murs sont relevés, ils ne paieront ni tribut, ni impôt, ni droit de passage, et que le trésor royal en souffrira.

Or, comme nous mangeons le sel du palais et qu'il ne nous paraît pas convenable de voir mépriser le roi, nous envoyons au roi ces informations.

Qu'on fasse des recherches dans le livre des mémoires de tes pères; et tu trouveras et verras dans le livre des mémoires que cette ville est une ville rebelle, funeste aux rois et aux provinces, et qu'on s'y est livré à la révolte dès les temps anciens. C'est pourquoi cette ville a été détruite.

(This is a copy of the letter they sent him.) To King Artaxerxes, From your servants, the men of Trans-Euphrates:

The king should know that the Jews who came up to us from you have gone to Jerusalem and are rebuilding that rebellious and wicked city. They are restoring the walls and repairing the foundations.

Furthermore, the king should know that if this city is built and its walls are restored, no more taxes, tribute or duty will be paid, and the royal revenues will suffer.

Now since we are under obligation to the palace and it is not proper for us to see the king dishonored, we are sending this message to inform the king,

so that a search may be made in the archives of your predecessors. In these records you will find that this city is a rebellious city, troublesome to kings and provinces, a place of rebellion from ancient times. That is why this city was destroyed.
