보아스가 ^ㄴ城門(성문)에 올라가서 거기 앉았더니 마침 보아스의 말하던 ^ㄷ基業(기업) 무를 者(자)가 지나는지라 보아스가 그에게 이르되 아무여 이리로 와서 앉으라 그가 와서 앉으매

보아스가 ^ㄹ城邑(성읍) 長老(장로) 十人(십인)을 請(청)하여 가로되 當身(당신)들은 여기 앉으라 그들이 앉으매

보아스가 그 基業(기업) 무를 者(자)에게 이르되 모압 地方(지방)에서 돌아온 나오미가 우리 兄弟(형제) 엘리멜렉의 所有地(소유지)를 管轄(관할)하므로

내가 ^ㅁ여기 앉은 者(자)들과 내 百姓(백성)의 長老(장로)들 앞에서 그것을 사라고 ^ㅂ네게 告(고)하여 알게 하려 하였노라 네가 무르려면 무르려니와 네가 무르지 아니하려거든 내게 告(고)하여 알게 하라 네 다음은 나요, 그 外(외)에는 무를 者(자)가 없느니라 그가 가로되 내가 무르리라

보아스가 가로되 네가 나오미의 손에서 그 밭을 사는 날에 곧 죽은 者(자)의 아내 모압 女人(녀인) 룻에게서 사서 ^ㅅ그 죽은 者(자)의 基業(기업)을 그 이름으로 잇게 하여야 할지니라

Boaz monta à la porte, et s'y arrêta. Or voici, celui qui avait droit de rachat, et dont Boaz avait parlé, vint à passer. Boaz lui dit: Approche, reste ici, toi un tel. Et il s'approcha, et s'arrêta.

Boaz prit alors dix hommes parmi les anciens de la ville, et il dit: Asseyez-vous ici. Et ils s'assirent.

Puis il dit à celui qui avait le droit de rachat: Naomi, revenue du pays de Moab, a vendu la pièce de terre qui appartenait à notre frère Élimélec.

J'ai cru devoir t'en informer, et te dire: Acquiers-la, en présence des habitants et en présence des anciens de mon peuple. Si tu veux racheter, rachète; mais si tu ne veux pas, déclare-le-moi, afin que je le sache. Car il n'y a personne avant toi qui ait le droit de rachat, et je l'ai après toi. Et il répondit: je rachèterai.

Boaz dit: Le jour où tu acquerras le champ de la main de Naomi, tu l'acquerras en même temps de Ruth la Moabite, femme du défunt, pour relever le nom du défunt dans son héritage.

Meanwhile Boaz went up to the town gate and sat there. When the kinsman-redeemer he had mentioned came along, Boaz said, "Come over here, my friend, and sit down." So he went over and sat down.

Boaz took ten of the elders of the town and said, "Sit here," and they did so.

Then he said to the kinsman-redeemer, "Naomi, who has come back from Moab, is selling the piece of land that belonged to our brother Elimelech.

I thought I should bring the matter to your attention and suggest that you buy it in the presence of these seated here and in the presence of the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, do so. But if you will not, tell me, so I will know. For no one has the right to do it except you, and I am next in line." "I will redeem it," he said.

Then Boaz said, "On the day you buy the land from Naomi and from Ruth the Moabitess, you acquire the dead man's widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property."

^ㅇ그 基業(기업) 무를 者(자)가 가로되 나는 내 基業(기업)에 損害(손해)가 있을까 하여 나를 爲(위)하여 무르지 못하노니 나의 무를 權利(권리)를 네가 取(취)하라 나는 무르지 못하겠노라

^ㅈ옛적 이스라엘 中(중)에 모든 것을 무르거나 交換(교환)하는 일을 確定(확정)하기 爲(위)하여 사람이 그 신을 벗어 그 이웃에게 주더니 이것이 이스라엘의 證明(증명)하는 前例(전례)가 된지라

이에 그 基業(기업) 무를 者(자)가 보아스에게 이르되 네가 너를 爲(위)하여 사라 하고 그 신을 벗는지라

보아스가 長老(장로)들과 모든 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 내가 엘리멜렉과 ^ㅊ기룐과 말론에게 있던 모든 것을 나오미의 손에서 산 일에 너희가 오늘날 證人(증인)이 되었고

또 말론의 아내 모압 女人(녀인) 룻을 사서 나의 아내로 取(취)하고 그 죽은 者(자)의 基業(기업)을 그 이름으로 잇게 하여 그 이름이 그 兄弟(형제) 中(중)과 그곳 城門(성문)에서 끊어지지 않게 함에 너희가 오늘날 證人(증인)이 되었느니라

Et celui qui avait le droit de rachat répondit: Je ne puis pas racheter pour mon compte, crainte de détruire mon héritage; prends pour toi mon droit de rachat, car je ne puis pas racheter.

Autrefois en Israël, pour valider une affaire quelconque relative à un rachat ou à un échange, l'un ôtait son soulier et le donnait à l'autre: cela servait de témoignage en Israël.

Celui qui avait le droit de rachat dit donc à Boaz: Acquiers pour ton compte! Et il ôta son soulier.

Alors Boaz dit aux anciens et à tout le peuple: Vous êtes témoins aujourd'hui que j'ai acquis de la main de Naomi tout ce qui appartenait à Élimélec, à Kiljon et à Machlon,

et que je me suis également acquis pour femme Ruth la Moabite, femme de Machlon, pour relever le nom du défunt dans son héritage, et afin que le nom du défunt ne soit point retranché d'entre ses frères et de la porte de son lieu. Vous en êtes témoins aujourd'hui!

At this, the kinsman-redeemer said, "Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it."

(Now in earlier times in Israel, for the redemption and transfer of property to become final, one party took off his sandal and gave it to the other. This was the method of legalizing transactions in Israel.)

So the kinsman-redeemer said to Boaz, "Buy it yourself." And he removed his sandal.

Then Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, "Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelech, Kilion and Mahlon.

I have also acquired Ruth the Moabitess, Mahlon's widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from the town records. Today you are witnesses!"

^ㅋ城門(성문)에 있는 모든 百姓(백성)과 長老(장로)들이 가로되 우리가 證人(증인)이 되노니 여호와께서 네 집에 들어가는 女人(녀인)으로 ^ㅌ이스라엘 집을 세운 ^ㅍ라헬, 레아 두 사람과 같게 하시고 너로 ^ㅎ에브랏에서 有力(유력)하고 ^ㅏ베들레헴에서 有名(유명)케 하시기를 願(원)하며

여호와께서 ^ㅑ이 少年(소년) 女子(녀자)로 네게 後嗣(후사)를 주사 네 집으로 ^ㅓ다말이 유다에게 낳아준 베레스의 집과 같게 하시기를 願(원)하노라

이에 보아스가 룻을 取(취)하여 아내를 삼고 그와 同寢(동침)하였더니 ^ㅕ여호와께서 그로 孕胎(잉태)케 하시므로 그가 아들을 낳은지라

^ㅗ女人(녀인)들이 나오미에게 이르되 讚頌(찬송)할지로다 여호와께서 오늘날 네게 ^ㅛ基業(기업) 무를 者(자)가 없게 아니하셨도다 이 아이의 이름이 ^ㅜ이스라엘 中(중)에 有名(유명)하게 되기를 願(원)하노라

이는 네 生命(생명)의 回復者(회복자)며 네 老年(로년)의 奉養者(봉양자)라 곧 너를 사랑하며 ^ㅠ일곱 아들보다 貴(귀)한 子婦(자부)가 낳은 者(자)로다

Tout le peuple qui était à la porte et les anciens dirent: Nous en sommes témoins! Que l'Éternel rende la femme qui entre dans ta maison semblable à Rachel et à Léa, qui toutes les deux ont bâti la maison d'Israël! Manifeste ta force dans Éphrata, et fais-toi un nom dans Bethléhem!

Puisse la postérité que l'Éternel te donnera par cette jeune femme rendre ta maison semblable à la maison de Pérets, qui fut enfanté à Juda par Tamar!

Boaz prit Ruth, qui devint sa femme, et il alla vers elle. L'Éternel permit à Ruth de concevoir, et elle enfanta un fils.

Les femmes dirent à Naomi: Béni soit l'Éternel, qui ne t'a point laissé manquer aujourd'hui d'un homme ayant droit de rachat, et dont le nom sera célébré en Israël!

Cet enfant restaurera ton âme, et sera le soutien de ta vieillesse; car ta belle-fille, qui t'aime, l'a enfanté, elle qui vaut mieux pour toi que sept fils.

Then the elders and all those at the gate said, "We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem.

Through the offspring the LORD gives you by this young woman, may your family be like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah."

So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. Then he went to her, and the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.

The women said to Naomi: "Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a kinsman-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!

He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth."
