야곱이 눈을 들어 보니 ^ㄷ에서가 四百人(사백인)을 거느리고 오는지라 그 子息(자식)들을 나누어 레아와 라헬과 두 女(여)종에게 맡기고

女(여)종과 그 子息(자식)들은 앞에 두고 레아와 그 子息(자식)들은 다음에 두고 라헬과 요셉은 뒤에 두고

自己(자기)는 그들 앞에서 나아가되 몸을 ^ㄹ일곱番(번) 땅에 굽히며 그 兄(형) 에서에게 가까이 하니

^ㅁ에서가 달려와서 그를 맞아서 안고 ^ㅂ목을 어긋맞기고 그와 입맞추고 彼此(피차) 우니라

에서가 눈을 들어 女人(녀인)과 子息(자식)들을 보고 묻되 너와 함께한 이들은 누구냐 야곱이 가로되 ^ㅅ하나님이 主(주)의 종에게 恩惠(은혜)로 주신 子息(자식)이니이다

Jacob leva les yeux, et regarda; et voici, Ésaü arrivait, avec quatre cents hommes. Il répartit les enfants entre Léa, Rachel, et les deux servantes.

Il plaça en tête les servantes avec leurs enfants, puis Léa avec ses enfants, et enfin Rachel avec Joseph.

Lui-même passa devant eux; et il se prosterna en terre sept fois, jusqu'à ce qu'il fût près de son frère.

Ésaü courut à sa rencontre; il l'embrassa, se jeta à son cou, et le baisa. Et ils pleurèrent.

Ésaü, levant les yeux, vit les femmes et les enfants, et il dit: Qui sont ceux que tu as là? Et Jacob répondit: Ce sont les enfants que Dieu a accordés à ton serviteur.

Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two maidservants.

He put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear.

He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.

But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept.

Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. "Who are these with you?" he asked. Jacob answered, "They are the children God has graciously given your servant."

때에 女(여)종들이 그 子息(자식)으로 더불어 나아와 절하고

레아도 그 子息(자식)으로 더불어 나아와 절하고 그 後(후)에 요셉이 라헬로 더불어 나아와 절하니

에서가 또 가로되 ^ㅇ나의 만난 바 이 모든 떼는 무슨 까닭이냐 야곱이 가로되 ^ㅈ내 主(주)께 恩惠(은혜)를 입으려 함이니이다

에서가 가로되 내 同生(동생)아, 내게 있는 것이 足(족)하니 네 所有(소유)는 네게 두라

야곱이 가로되 그렇지 아니하니이다 兄(형)님께 恩惠(은혜)를 얻었사오면 請(청)컨대 내 손에서 이 禮物(례물)을 받으소서 ^ㅊ내가 兄(형)님의 얼굴을 뵈온즉 하나님의 얼굴을 본 것 같사오며 兄(형)님도 나를 기뻐하심이니이이다

Les servantes s'approchèrent, elles et leurs enfants, et se prosternèrent;

Léa et ses enfants s'approchèrent aussi, et se prosternèrent; ensuite Joseph et Rachel s'approchèrent, et se prosternèrent.

Ésaü dit: A quoi destines-tu tout ce camp que j'ai rencontré? Et Jacob répondit: A trouver grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur.

Ésaü dit: Je suis dans l'abondance, mon frère; garde ce qui est à toi.

Et Jacob répondit: Non, je te prie, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, accepte de ma main mon présent; car c'est pour cela que j'ai regardé ta face comme on regarde la face de Dieu, et tu m'as accueilli favorablement.

Then the maidservants and their children approached and bowed down.

Next, Leah and her children came and bowed down. Last of all came Joseph and Rachel, and they too bowed down.

Esau asked, "What do you mean by all these droves I met?" "To find favor in your eyes, my lord," he said.

But Esau said, "I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself."

"No, please!" said Jacob. "If I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably.

하나님이 내게 恩惠(은혜)를 베푸셨고 나의 ^ㅋ所有(소유)도 足(족)하오니 請(청)컨대 내가 兄(형)님께 드리는 ^ㅌ禮物(례물)을 받으소서 하고 그에게 ^ㅍ强勸(강권)하매 받으니라

에서가 가로되 우리가 떠나가자 내가 너의 앞잡이가 되리라

야곱이 그에게 이르되 내 主(주)도 아시거니와 子息(자식)들은 幼弱(유약)하고 내게 있는 羊(양)떼와 소가 새끼를 데렸은즉 하루만 過(과)히 몰면 모든 떼가 죽으리니

請(청)컨대 내 主(주)는 종보다 앞서 가소서 나는 앞에 가는 짐승과 子息(자식)의 行步(행보)대로 천천히 引導(인도)하여 ^ㅎ세일로 가서 내 主(주)께 나아가리이다

에서가 가로되 내가 내 縱者(종자) 數人(수인)을 네게 머물리라 야곱이 가로되 어찌하여 그리 하리이까 나로 내 ^ㅏ主(주)께 恩惠(은혜)를 얻게 하소서 하매

Accepte donc mon présent qui t'a été offert, puisque Dieu m'a comblé de grâces, et que je ne manque de rien. Il insista auprès de lui, et Ésaü accepta.

Ésaü dit: Partons, mettons-nous en route; j'irai devant toi.

Jacob lui répondit: Mon seigneur sait que les enfants sont délicats, et que j'ai des brebis et des vaches qui allaitent; si l'on forçait leur marche un seul jour, tout le troupeau périrait.

Que mon seigneur prenne les devants sur son serviteur; et moi, je suivrai lentement, au pas du troupeau qui me précédera, et au pas des enfants, jusqu'à ce que j'arrive chez mon seigneur, à Séir.

Ésaü dit: Je veux au moins laisser avec toi une partie de mes gens. Et Jacob répondit: Pourquoi cela? Que je trouve seulement grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur!

Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need." And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.

Then Esau said, "Let us be on our way; I'll accompany you."

But Jacob said to him, "My lord knows that the children are tender and that I must care for the ewes and cows that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die.

So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the droves before me and that of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir."
