에스라(エズラ記) 4장 [개역한글 : 新改訳 : NIV]

1. ^ㅋ유다와 베냐민의 對敵(대적)이 사로잡혔던 者(자)의 子孫(자손)이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 殿(전)을 建築(건축)한다 함을 듣고
   
2. 스룹바벨과 族長(족장)들에게 나아와 이르되 우리로 너희와 함께 建築(건축)하게 하라 우리도 너희같이 너희 하나님을 求(구)하노라 앗수르 王(왕) ^ㅌ에살핫돈이 ^ㅍ우리를 이리로 오게한 ^ㅎ날부터 우리가 하나님께 祭祀(제사)를 드리노라
   
3. 스룹바벨과 예수아와 其他(기타) 이스라엘 族長(족장)들이 이르되 우리 하나님의 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하는데 ^ㅏ너희는 우리와 相關(상관)이 없느니라 ^ㅑ바사 王(왕) 고레스가 우리에게 命(명)하신 대로 우리가 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 홀로 建築(건축)하리라 하였더니
   
4. 이로부터 ^ㅓ그 땅 百姓(백성)이 유다 百姓(백성)의 손을 弱(약)하게 하여 그 建築(건축)을 妨害(방해)하되
   
5. 바사 王(왕) 고레스의 時代(시대)부터 바사 王(왕) 다리오가 卽位(즉위)할 때까지 議士(의사)들에게 賂物(뢰물)을 주어 그 經營(경영)을 沮戱(저희)하였으며
   

1. ユダとベニヤミンの敵たちは，捕囚から帰って来た人々が，イスラエルの神，主のために神殿を建てていると聞いて，
   
2. ゼルバベルと一族のかしらたちのところに近づいて来て，言った．「私たちも，あなたがたといっしょに建てたい．私たちは，あなたがたと同様，あなたがたの神を求めているのです．アッシリヤの王エサル・ハドンが，私たちをここに連れて来た時以来，私たちはあなたがたの神に，いけにえをささげてきました．」
   
3. しかし，ゼルバベルとヨシュアとその他のイスラエルの一族のかしらたちは，彼らに言った．「私たちの神のために宮を建てることについて，あなたがたと私たちとは何の関係もない．ペルシヤの王，クロス王が私たちに命じたとおり，私たちだけで，イスラエルの神，主のために宮を建てるつもりだ．」

1. When the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the exiles were building a temple for the LORD, the God of Israel,
   
2. they came to Zerubbabel and to the heads of the families and said, "Let us help you build because, like you, we seek your God and have been sacrificing to him since the time of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here."
   
3. But Zerubbabel, Jeshua and the rest of the heads of the families of Israel answered, "You have no part with us in building a temple to our God. We alone will build it for the LORD, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia, commanded us."
   
4. Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building.
   
5. They hired counselors to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.
   

6. 또 ^ㅕ아하수에로가 卽位(즉위)할 때에 저희가 글을 올려 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)을 告訴(고소)하니라
   
7. 아닥사스다 때에 비슬람과, ^ㅗ미드르닷과, 다브엘과, 그 同僚(동료)들이 바사王(왕) 아닥사스다에게 글을 올렸으니 그 글은 아람 文字(문자)와 ^ㅛ아람 方言(방언)으로 써서 陳述(진술)하였더라
   
8. 方伯(방백) 르훔과, 書記官(서기관) 심새가 아닥사스다王(왕)에게 올려 예루살렘 百姓(백성)을 告訴(고소)한 그 글에
   
9. 方伯(방백) 르훔과 書記官(서기관) 심새와 그 同僚(동료) ^ㅜ디나 사람과, ^ㅠ아바삿 사람과, 다블래 사람과, 아바새 사람과, 아렉 사람과, 바벨론 사람과, 수산 사람과, 데해 사람과, ^으엘람 사람과,
   
10. 其他(기타) 百姓(백성) 곧 尊貴(존귀)한 ^이오스납발이 사마리아 城(성)과 江(강) 西便(서편) 다른 땅에 옮겨 둔 者(자)들과 ^ㅐ함께 告(고)한다 하였더라
    

6. アハシュエロスの治世，すなわちその治世の初めに，彼らはユダとエルサレムの住民を非難する１通の告訴状を書いた．
   
7. また，アルタシャスタの時代に，ビシュラム，ミテレダテ，タベエルとその他の同僚は，ペルシヤの王アルタシャスタに書き送った．その手紙はアラム語の文字で書かれ，アラム語で述べられていた．
   
8. 参事官レフム，書記官シムシャイはエルサレムを非難して，次のような手紙をアルタシャスタ王に書き送った．

6. At the beginning of the reign of Xerxes, they lodged an accusation against the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
   
7. And in the days of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel and the rest of his associates wrote a letter to Artaxerxes. The letter was written in Aramaic script and in the Aramaic language.
   
8. Rehum the commanding officer and Shimshai the secretary wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king as follows:
   
9. Rehum the commanding officer and Shimshai the secretary, together with the rest of their associates--the judges and officials over the men from Tripolis, Persia, Erech and Babylon, the Elamites of Susa,
   
10. and the other people whom the great and honorable Ashurbanipal deported and settled in the city of Samaria and elsewhere in Trans-Euphrates.
    

11. 아닥사스다王(왕)에게 올린 그 글의 抄本(초본)은 이러하니 江(강) 西便(서편)에 있는 臣僕(신복)들은
    
12. 王(왕)에게 告(고)하나이다 王(왕)에게서 올라온 유다 사람들이 우리의 곳 예루살렘에 이르러 이 悖逆(패역)하고 惡(악)한 城邑(성읍)을 建築(건축)하는데 이미 그 地臺(지대)를 修築(수축)하고 ^ㄱ城郭(성곽)을 建築(건축)하오니
    
13. 이제 王(왕)은 아시옵소서 萬一(만일) 이 城邑(성읍)을 建築(건축)하며 그 城郭(성곽)을 마치면 저 무리가 다시는 ^ㄴ朝貢(조공)과 雜稅(잡세)와 賦稅(부세)를 바치지 아니하리니 畢竟(필경) 王(왕)들에게 損害(손해)가 되리이다
    
14. 우리가 이제 宮(궁)의 소금을 먹는 故(고)로 王(왕)의 羞恥(수치) 當(당)함을 참아 보지 못하여 보내어 王(왕)에게 告(고)하오니
    
15. 王(왕)은 列祖(열조)의 史記(사기)를 살피시면 그 史記(사기)에서 이 城邑(성읍)은 悖逆(패역)한 城邑(성읍)이라 예로부터 그 中(중)에서 恒常(항상) 叛逆(반역)하는 일을 行(행)하여 列王(열왕)과 各(각) 道(도)에 損害(손해)가 된 것을 보시고 아실지라 이 城邑(성읍)이 毁破(훼파)됨도 이 까닭이니이다
    

11. 彼らが書き送ったその手紙の写しは次のとおりである．　「川向こうの者，あなたのしもべたちから，アルタシャスタ王へ．さて，
    
12. 王にお知らせいたします．あなたのところから，こちらに来たユダヤ人たちはエルサレムに行き，あの反抗的で危険な町を再建しています．その城壁を修復し，その礎もすでに据えられています．
    
13. 今，王にお知らせいたします．もしこの町が再建され，城壁が修復されたら，彼らはみつぎ，関税，税金を納めなくなるでしょう．そうすれば，王の収入に損害を与えることになりましょう．
    
14. さて，私たちは王宮の恩恵を受けておりますから，王のはずかしめを見るのに耐えられません．それゆえ，私たちは人を遣わして，王にお知らせするのです．
    
15. あなたの先祖の記録文書をお調べになれば，この町が反抗的な町で，王たちと諸州に損害を与え，また昔からこの町で反逆が行なわれたことを，その記録文書の中に見て，おわかりになるでしょう．この町が滅ぼされたのも，そのためです．
    

11. (This is a copy of the letter they sent him.) To King Artaxerxes, From your servants, the men of Trans-Euphrates:
    
12. The king should know that the Jews who came up to us from you have gone to Jerusalem and are rebuilding that rebellious and wicked city. They are restoring the walls and repairing the foundations.
    
13. Furthermore, the king should know that if this city is built and its walls are restored, no more taxes, tribute or duty will be paid, and the royal revenues will suffer.
    
14. Now since we are under obligation to the palace and it is not proper for us to see the king dishonored, we are sending this message to inform the king,
    
15. so that a search may be made in the archives of your predecessors. In these records you will find that this city is a rebellious city, troublesome to kings and provinces, a place of rebellion from ancient times. That is why this city was destroyed.
    

16. 이제 敢(감)히 王(왕)에게 告(고)하오니 이 城邑(성읍)이 重建(중건)되어 城郭(성곽)을 畢役(필역)하면 이로 말미암아 王(왕)의 江(강) 西便(서편) 領地(령지)가 없어지리이다 하였더라
    
17. 王(왕)이 方伯(방백) 르훔과 書記官(서기관) 심새와 사마리아에 居(거)한 저희 同僚(동료)와 江(강) 西便(서편) 다른 땅 百姓(백성)에게 詔書(조서)를 내리니 일렀으되 너희는 平安(평안)할지어다
    
18. 너희의 올린 글을 ^ㄷ내 앞에서 朗讀(랑독)시키고
    
19. 命(명)하여 살펴보니 果然(과연) 이 城邑(성읍)이 예로부터 列王(열왕)을 拒逆(거역)하며 그 中(중)에서 恒常(항상) 悖逆(패역)하고 謀叛(모반)하는 일을 行(행)하였으며
    
20. 옛적에는 예루살렘을 主宰(주재)하는 큰 君王(군왕)이 있어서 ^ㄹ江(강) 西便(서편) 모든 땅도 主宰(주재)하매 ^ㅁ朝貢(조공)과 雜稅(잡세)와 賦稅(부세)를 저에게 다 바쳤도다
    

16. 私たちは王にお知らせします．もしこの町が再建され，城壁が修復されたら，あなたはこのために川向こうの領土を失ってしまわれるでしょう．」
    
17. 王は参事官レフム，書記官シムシャイ，およびサマリヤと川向こうのその他の地に住んでいる彼らの同僚に返事を送った．　「平安があるように．さて，
    
18. あなたがたが，私たちに送ったあの書状は，私の前で説明して読まれた．
    
19. 私は命令を下し，調べさせたところ，その町は昔から王たちに対して謀反を企て，その町で暴虐が行なわれたことがわかった．
    
20. またエルサレムにはかつての勢力のある王たちがいて，川向こうの地を全部支配し，みつぎ，関税，税金が彼らに納められていたこともわかった．
    

16. We inform the king that if this city is built and its walls are restored, you will be left with nothing in Trans-Euphrates.
    
17. The king sent this reply: To Rehum the commanding officer, Shimshai the secretary and the rest of their associates living in Samaria and elsewhere in Trans-Euphrates: Greetings.
    
18. The letter you sent us has been read and translated in my presence.
    
19. I issued an order and a search was made, and it was found that this city has a long history of revolt against kings and has been a place of rebellion and sedition.
    
20. Jerusalem has had powerful kings ruling over the whole of Trans-Euphrates, and taxes, tribute and duty were paid to them.
    

21. 이제 너희는 命(명)을 傳(전)하여 그 사람들로 役事(역사)를 그치게 하여 그 城(성)을 建築(건축)지 못하게 하고 내가 다시 詔書(조서) 내리기를 기다리라
    
22. 너희는 삼가서 이 일에 게으르지 말라 어찌하여 禍(화)를 더하여 王(왕)들에게 損害(손해)가 되게 하랴 하였더라
    
23. 아닥사스다 王(왕)의 詔書(조서) 抄本(초본)이 르훔과 書記官(서기관) 심새와 그 同僚(동료) 앞에서 朗讀(랑독)되매 저희가 예루살렘으로 急(급)히 가서 유다 사람들을 보고 權力(권력)으로 抑制(억제)하여 그 役事(역사)를 그치게 하니
    
24. 이에 예루살렘에서 하나님의 殿(전) 役事(역사)가 그쳐서 바사 王(왕) 다리오 第(제) 二年(이년)까지 이르니라
    

21. 今，あなたがたは，命令を下して，その者たちの働くのをやめさせ，私が再び命令を下すまで，この町が再建されないようにせよ．
    
22. あなたがたは，よく注意してこのことを怠ってはならない．損害を増して王を傷つけるといけないから．」
    
23. アルタシャスタ王の書状の写しがレフムと，書記官シムシャイと，その同僚の前で読まれると，彼らは急いでエルサレムのユダヤ人のところに行って，武力をもって彼らの働きをやめさせた．

21. Now issue an order to these men to stop work, so that this city will not be rebuilt until I so order.
    
22. Be careful not to neglect this matter. Why let this threat grow, to the detriment of the royal interests?
    
23. As soon as the copy of the letter of King Artaxerxes was read to Rehum and Shimshai the secretary and their associates, they went immediately to the Jews in Jerusalem and compelled them by force to stop.
    
24. Thus the work on the house of God in Jerusalem came to a standstill until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
