1. 先知者(선지자)들 곧 先知者(선지자) ^ㅂ학개와 잇도의 孫子(손자) ^ㅅ스가랴가 이스라엘 하나님의 이름을 받들어 유다와 예루살렘에 居(거)하는 유다 사람들에게 豫言(예언)하였더니
   
2. ^ㅇ이에 스알디엘의 아들 스룹바벨과 요사닥의 아들 ^ㅈ예수아가 일어나 예루살렘 하나님의 殿(전) 建築(건축)하기를 始作(시작)하매 ^ㅊ하나님의 先知者(선지자)들이 함께 하여 돕더니
   
3. 그 때에 江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독) ^ㅋ닷드내와 스달보스내와 그 同僚(동료)가 다 나아와 저희에게 이르되 ^ㅌ누가 너희를 命(명)하여 이 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하고 이 城郭(성곽)을 마치게 하였느냐 하기로
   
4. 우리가 이 建築(건축)하는 者(자)의 이름을 告(고)하였으나
   
5. ^ㅍ하나님이 유다 長老(장로)들을 돌아보셨으므로 저희가 能(능)히 役事(역사)를 廢(폐)하게 못하고 이 일을 다리오에게 告(고)하고 그 答詔(답조)가 오기를 기다렸더라
   

1. Es weissagten aber die Propheten Haggai und "Sacharja," der Sohn "Iddos," den "Juden," die in Juda und Jerusalem "waren," im Namen des Gottes Israels. {~} {~}
   
2. Da machten sich auf "Serubabel," der Sohn "Sealthiels," und "Jesua," der Sohn "Jozadaks," und fingen an zu bauen das Haus Gottes zu "Jerusalem," und mit ihnen die Propheten "Gottes," die sie stärkten.
   
3. Zu der Zeit kam "Thathnai," der Landpfleger diesseits des "Wassers," und Sethar-Bosnai und ihr Rat und sprachen also zu ihnen: Wer hat euch "befohlen," dies Haus zu bauen und seine Mauern zu machen? {~}
   
4. Da sagten wir "ihnen," wie die Männer "hießen," die diesen Bau taten. {~} {~}
   
5. Aber das Auge ihres Gottes war über den Ältesten der "Juden," daß ihnen nicht gewehrt "ward," bis daß man die Sache an Darius gelangen ließ und darüber eine Schrift wiederkäme.
   

1. Now Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the prophet, a descendant of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them.
   
2. Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, helping them.
   
3. At that time Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and their associates went to them and asked, "Who authorized you to rebuild this temple and restore this structure?"
   
4. They also asked, "What are the names of the men constructing this building?"
   
5. But the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received.
   

6. 江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독) 닷드내와 스달보스내와 그 同僚(동료) 江(강) 西便(서편) ^ㅎ아바삭 사람이 다리오 王(왕)에게 올린 글의 抄本(초본)이 이러하니라
   
7. 그 글에 일렀으되 다리오 王(왕)은 萬安(만안)하옵소서
   
8. 王(왕)께 아시게 하나이다 우리가 유다道(도)에 가서 至極(지극)히 크신 하나님의 殿(전)에 나아가 보온즉 殿(전)을 큰 돌로 세우며 璧(벽)에 나무를 얹고 부지런히 하므로 役事(역사)가 그 손에서 亨通(형통)하옵기로
   
9. 우리가 그 長老(장로)들에게 물어 보기를 누가 너희를 命(명)하여 이 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하고 이 城郭(성곽)을 마치게 하였느냐 하고
   
10. 우리가 또 그 頭目(두목)의 이름을 적어 王(왕)에게 告(고)하고자 하여 그 이름을 물은즉
    

6. Dies ist aber der Inhalt des Briefes "Thathnais," des Landpflegers diesseits des "Wassers," und Sethar-Bosnais und ihres "Rats," derer von "Apharsach," die diesseits des Wassers "waren," an den König Darius.
   
7. Und die Worte die sie zu ihm "sandten," lauteten also: Dem König Darius allen Frieden!
   
8. Es sei kund dem "König," daß wir ins jüdische Land gekommen sind zu dem Hause des großen "Gottes," welches man baut mit behauenen "Steinen," und Balken legt man in die "Wände," und das Werk geht frisch vonstatten unter ihrer Hand. {~}
   
9. Wir aber haben die Ältesten gefragt und zu ihnen gesagt also: Wer hat euch "befohlen," dies Haus zu bauen und seine Mauern zu machen?
   
10. Auch fragten "wir," wie sie "hießen," auf daß wir sie dir kundtäten und die Namen der Männer "aufschrieben," die ihre Obersten waren.
    

6. This is a copy of the letter that Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and their associates, the officials of Trans-Euphrates, sent to King Darius.
   
7. The report they sent him read as follows: To King Darius: Cordial greetings.
   
8. The king should know that we went to the district of Judah, to the temple of the great God. The people are building it with large stones and placing the timbers in the walls. The work is being carried on with diligence and is making rapid progress under their direction.
   
9. We questioned the elders and asked them, "Who authorized you to rebuild this temple and restore this structure?"
   
10. We also asked them their names, so that we could write down the names of their leaders for your information.
    

11. 저희가 우리에게 對答(대답)하여 이르기를 우리는 天地(천지)의 하나님의 종이라 ^ㅏ오랜 옛적에 建築(건축)되었던 ^ㅑ殿(전)을 우리가 다시 建築(건축)하노라 이는 本來(본래) 이스라엘의 큰 王(왕)이 完全(완전)히 建築(건축)한 것이더니
    
12. ^ㅓ우리 列祖(열조)가 하늘에 계신 하나님을 激怒(격노)케 하였으므로 ^ㅕ하나님이 저희를 갈대아 사람 바벨론 王(왕) 느브갓네살의 손에 붙이시매 저가 이 殿(전)을 헐며 이 百姓(백성)을 사로잡아 바벨론으로 옮겼더니
    
13. ^ㅗ바벨론 王(왕) 고레스 元年(원년)에 고레스 王(왕)이 詔書(조서)를 내려 하나님의 이 殿(전)을 建築(건축)하게 하고
    
14. 또 ^ㅛ느부갓네살의 예루살렘 하나님의 殿(전) 속에서 金(금),銀(은) 器皿(기명)을 옮겨다가 바벨론 神堂(신당)에 두었던 것을 고레스 王(왕)이 그 神堂(신당)에서 取(취)하여 그 세운 總督(총독) ^ㅜ세스바살이라 이름한 者(자)에게 내어주고
    
15. 일러 가로되 너는 이 器皿(기명)들을 가지고 가서 예루살렘 殿(전)에 두고 하나님의 殿(전)을 그 本處(본처)에 建築(건축)하라 하매
    

11. Sie aber gaben uns solche Worte zur Antwort und sprachen: Wir sind Knechte des Gottes im Himmel und der Erde und bauen das "Haus," das vormals vor vielen Jahren gebaut "war," das ein großer König Israels gebaut hat und aufgerichtet.
    
12. Da aber unsre Väter den Gott des Himmels "erzürnten," gab er sie in die Hand "Nebukadnezars," des Königs zu "Babel," des Chaldäers; der zerbrach dies Haus und führte das Volk weg gen Babel.
    
13. Aber im ersten Jahr des "Kores," des Königs zu "Babel," befahl derselbe König "Kores," dies Haus Gottes zu bauen. {~}
    
14. Denn auch die goldenen und silbernen Gefäße im Hause "Gottes," die Nebukadnezar aus dem Tempel zu Jerusalem nahm und brachte sie in den Tempel zu "Babel," nahm der König Kores aus dem Tempel zu Babel und gab sie Sesbazar mit "Namen," den er zum Landpfleger "setzte," {~}
    
15. und sprach zu ihm: Diese Gefäße "nimm," zieh hin und bringe sie in den Tempel zu Jerusalem und laß das Haus Gottes bauen an seiner Stätte.
    

11. This is the answer they gave us: "We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, one that a great king of Israel built and finished.
    
12. But because our fathers angered the God of heaven, he handed them over to Nebuchadnezzar the Chaldean, king of Babylon, who destroyed this temple and deported the people to Babylon.
    
13. "However, in the first year of Cyrus king of Babylon, King Cyrus issued a decree to rebuild this house of God.
    
14. He even removed from the temple of Babylon the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to the temple in Babylon. "Then King Cyrus gave them to a man named Sheshbazzar, whom he had appointed governor,
    
15. and he told him, 'Take these articles and go and deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem. And rebuild the house of God on its site.'
    

16. 이에 이 세스바살이 이르러 예루살렘 ^ㅠ하나님의 殿(전) 地臺(지대)를 놓았고 그 때로부터 至今(지금)까지 建築(건축)하여 오나 오히려 ^으畢役(필역)하지 못하였다 하였사오니
    
17. 이제 王(왕)이 善(선)히 여기시거든 ^이바벨론에서 王(왕)의 國庫(국고)에 調査(조사)하사 果然(과연) 고레스 王(왕)이 詔書(조서)를 내려 하나님의 이 殿(전)을 예루살렘에 建築(건축)하라 하셨는지 보시고 王(왕)은 이 일에 對(대)하여 王(왕)의 기쁘신 뜻을 우리에게 보이소서 하였더라
    

16. Da kam derselbe Sesbazar und legte den Grund am Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem. Seit der Zeit baut "man," und es ist noch nicht vollendet. {~} {~}
    
17. Gefällt es nun dem "König," so lasse er suchen in dem Schatzhause des "Königs," das zu Babel "ist," ob's von dem König Kores befohlen "sei," das Haus Gottes zu Jerusalem zu "bauen," und sende zu uns des Königs Meinung darüber. {~} {~} {~}
    

16. So this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem. From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not yet finished."
    
17. Now if it pleases the king, let a search be made in the royal archives of Babylon to see if King Cyrus did in fact issue a decree to rebuild this house of God in Jerusalem. Then let the king send us his decision in this matter.
