1. ^ㄱ長老(장로)는 擇(택)하심을 입은 婦女(부녀)와 그의 子女(자녀)에게 便紙(편지)하노니 내가 참으로 ^ㄴ사랑하는 者(자)요 나뿐 아니라 ^ㄷ眞理(진리)를 ^ㄹ아는 모든 者(자)도 그리하는 것은
   
2. ^ㅁ우리 안에 居(거)하여 永遠(영원)히 우리와 함께 할 眞理(진리)를 因(인)함이로다
   
3. ^ㅂ恩惠(은혜)와 矜恤(긍휼)과 平康(평강)이 하나님 아버지와 아버지의 아들 예수 그리스도께로부터 眞理(진리)와 사랑 가운데서 우리와 함께 있으리라
   
4. 너의 子女(자녀) 中(중)에 우리가 아버지께 받은 誡命(계명)대로 眞理(진리)에 行(행)하는 者(자)를 내가 보니 ^ㅅ甚(심)히 기쁘도다
   
5. 婦女(부녀)여 내가 이제 네게 求(구)하노니 ^ㅇ서로 사랑하자 이는 ^ㅈ새 誡命(계명)같이 네게 쓰는 것이 아니요 오직 처음부터 우리가 가진 것이라
   

1. Der Älteste: der auserwählten Frau und ihren "Kindern," die ich liebhabe in der "Wahrheit," und nicht allein ich sondern auch "alle," die die Wahrheit erkannt "haben,"
   
2. um der Wahrheit "willen," die in uns bleibt und bei uns sein wird in Ewigkeit.
   
3. Gnade, "Barmherzigkeit," Friede von "Gott," dem "Vater," und von dem HERRN Jesus "Christus," dem Sohn des "Vaters," in der Wahrheit und in der "Liebe," sei mit euch!
   
4. Ich bin "erfreut," daß ich gefunden habe unter deinen "Kindern," die in der Wahrheit "wandeln," wie denn wir ein Gebot vom Vater empfangen haben.
   
5. Und nun bitte ich "dich," Frau (nicht als schriebe ich dir ein neues "Gebot," sondern das wir gehabt haben von "Anfang)," daß wir uns untereinander lieben.
   

1. The elder, To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth--and not I only, but also all who know the truth--
   
2. because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever:
   
3. Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.
   
4. It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us.
   
5. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.
   

6. 또 ^ㅊ사랑은 이것이니 우리가 그 誡命(계명)을 좇아 行(행)하는 것이요 誡命(계명)은 이것이니 ^ㅋ너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 그 가운데서 行(행)하라 하심이라
   
7. ^ㅌ迷惑(미혹)하는 者(자)가 많이 ^ㅍ世上(세상)에 나왔나니 ^ㅎ이는 예수 그리스도께서 肉體(육체)로 臨(임)하심을 否認(부인)하는 者(자)라 이것이 迷惑(미혹)하는 자요 敵(적)그리스도니
   
8. ^ㅏ너희는 너희를 삼가 우리의 일한 것을 잃지 말고 오직 ^ㅑ穩全(온전)한 賞(상)을 얻으라
   
9. ^ㅓ지내쳐 그리스도 敎訓(교훈) 안에 居(거)하지 아니하는 者(자)마다 ^ㅕ하나님을 모시지 못하되 敎訓(교훈) 안에 居(거)하는 이 사람이 아버지와 아들을 모시느니라
   
10. 누구든지 이 敎訓(교훈)을 가지지 않고 너희에게 나아가거든 그를 ^ㅗ집에 들이지도 말고 人事(인사)도 말라
    

6. Und das ist die "Liebe," daß wir wandeln nach seinem Gebot; das ist das "Gebot," wie ihr gehört habt von "Anfang," daß ihr in derselben wandeln sollt.
   
7. Denn viele Verführer sind in die Welt "gekommen," die nicht bekennen Jesum "Christum," daß er in das Fleisch gekommen ist. Das ist der Verführer und der Widerchrist.
   
8. Sehet euch "vor," daß wir nicht "verlieren," was wir erarbeitet "haben," sondern vollen Lohn empfangen.
   
9. Wer übertritt und bleibt nicht in der Lehre "Christi," der hat keinen Gott; wer in der Lehre Christi "bleibt," der hat "beide," den Vater und den Sohn.
   
10. So jemand zu euch kommt und bringt diese Lehre "nicht," den nehmet nicht ins Haus und grüßet ihn auch nicht.
    

6. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
   
7. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
   
8. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
   
9. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
   
10. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.
    

11. 그에게 人事(인사)하는 者(자)는 ^ㅛ그 惡(악)한 일에 參與(참여)하는 者(자)임이니라
    
12. 내가 ^ㅜ너희에게 쓸 것이 많으나 종이와 먹으로 쓰기를 願(원)치 아니하고 오히려 너희에게 가서 面對(면대)하여 말하려 하니 이는 ^ㅠ너희 기쁨을 ^으充滿(충만)케 하려 함이라
    
13. 擇(택)하심을 입은 네 姉妹(자매)의 子女(자녀)가 네게 問安(문안)하느니라
    

11. Denn wer ihn "grüßt," der macht sich teilhaftig seiner bösen Werke.
    
12. Ich hatte euch viel zu "schreiben," aber ich wollte nicht mit Briefen und Tinte; sondern ich "hoffe," zu euch zu kommen und mündlich mit euch "reden," auf daß unsere Freude vollkommen sei. {~}
    
13. Es grüßen dich die Kinder deiner "Schwester," der Auserwählten. Amen.
    

11. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.
    
12. I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
    
13. The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.
