1. 여호와께서 브두엘의 아들 요엘에게 이르신 말씀이라
   
2. ^ㄱ늙은 者(자)들아 너희는 이것을 ^ㄴ들을지어다 땅의 모든 居民(거민)아 너희는 귀를 기울일지어다 ^ㄷ너희의 날에나 너희 列祖(열조)의 날에 이런 일이 있었느냐
   
3. 너희는 ^ㄹ이 일을 너희 子女(자녀)에게 告(고)하고 너희 子女(자녀)는 自己(자기) 子女(자녀)에게 告(고)하고 그 子女(자녀)는 後時代(후시대)에 告(고)할 것이니라
   
4. ^ㅁ팟종이가 남긴 것을 ^ㅂ메뚜기가 먹고 메뚜기가 남긴 것을 늣이 먹고 ^ㅅ늣이 남긴 것을 ^ㅇ황충이 먹었도다
   
5. 무릇 醉(취)하는 者(자)들아 너희는 깨어 울찌어다 ^ㅈ葡萄酒(포도주)를 마시는 者(자)들아 너희는 ^ㅊ哭(곡)할지어다 이는 단 葡萄酒(포도주)가 너희 입에서 끊어졌음이니
   

1. Dies ist das Wort des "HERRN," das geschehen ist zu "Joel," dem Sohn Pethuels.
   
2. Höret "dies," ihr "Ältesten," und merket auf alle Einwohner im "Lande," ob solches geschehen sei zu euren Zeiten oder zu eurer Väter Zeiten!
   
3. Saget euren Kindern davon und lasset's eure Kinder ihren Kindern sagen und diese Kinder ihren Nachkommen!
   
4. Was die Raupen "lassen," das fressen die Heuschrecken; und was die Heuschrecken "lassen," das fressen die Käfer; und was die Käfer "lassen," das frißt das Geschmeiß.
   
5. Wachet "auf," ihr "Trunkenen," und "weinet," und "heulet," alle "Weinsäufer," um den Most; denn er ist euch vor eurem Maul weggenommen.
   

1. The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel.
   
2. Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?
   
3. Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.
   
4. What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.
   
5. Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.
   

6. ^ㅋ한 異族(이족)이 내 땅에 올라왔음이로다 그들은 强(강)하고 無數(무수)하며 ^ㅌ그 이는 獅子(사자)의 이 같고 그 어금니는 암獅子(사자)의 어금니 같도다
   
7. 그들이 내 葡萄(포도)나무를 滅(멸)하며 내 ^ㅍ無花果(무화과)나무를 긁어 말갛게 벗겨서 버리니 그 모든 가지가 하얗게 되었도다
   
8. 너희는 哀哭(애곡)하기를 處女(처녀)가 어렸을 때에 約婚(약혼)한 男便(남편)을 因(인)하여 굵은 ^ㅎ베로 동이고 哀哭(애곡)함같이 할찌어다
   
9. ^ㅏ素祭(소제)와 奠祭(전제)가 여호와의 殿(전)에 끊어졌고 ^ㅑ여호와께 隧從(수종)드는 祭司長(제사장)은 슬퍼하도다
   
10. 밭이 荒蕪(황무)하고 ^ㅓ土地(토지)가 凄凉(처량)하니 ^ㅕ穀食(곡식)이 盡(진)하여 새 葡萄酒(포도주)가 말랐고 기름이 다하였도다
    

6. Denn es zieht herauf in mein Land ein mächtiges Volk und ohne Zahl; das hat Zähne wie Löwen und Backenzähne wie Löwinnen.
   
7. Das verwüstet meinen Weinberg und streift meinen Feigenbaum "ab," schält ihn und verwirft "ihn," daß seine Zweige weiß dastehen.
   
8. Heule wie eine Jungfrau die einen Sack anlegt um ihren Bräutigam!
   
9. Denn das Speisopfer und Trankopfer ist vom Hause des HERRN "weg," und die "Priester," des HERRN "Diener," trauern.
   
10. Das Feld ist "verwüstet," und der Acker steht jämmerlich; das Getreide ist "verdorben," der Wein steht jämmerlich und das Öl kläglich.
    

6. A nation has invaded my land, powerful and without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness.
   
7. It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white.
   
8. Mourn like a virgin in sackcloth grieving for the husband of her youth.
   
9. Grain offerings and drink offerings are cut off from the house of the LORD. The priests are in mourning, those who minister before the LORD.
   
10. The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up; the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails.
    

11. ^ㅗ農夫(농부)들아 너희는 부끄러워할찌어다 葡萄園(포도원)을 다스리는 者(자)들아 哭(곡)할찌어다 이는 밀과 보리의 緣故(연고)라 ^ㅛ밭의 所産(소산)이 다 없어졌음이로다
    
12. 葡萄(포도)나무가 시들었고 ^ㅜ無花果(무화과) 나무가 말랐으며 石榴(석류)나무와 대추나무와 사과나무와 및 밭의 모든 나무가 다 시들었으니 이러므로 ^ㅠ人間(인간)의 喜樂(희락)이 말랐도다
    
13. 祭司長(제사장)들아 너희는 굵은 ^으베로 동이고 슬피 울찌어다 ^이壇(단)에 隧從(수종)드는 者(자)들아 너희는 哭(곡)할지어다 내 하나님께 隧從(수종)드는 者(자)들아 너희는 와서 굵은 베를 입고 밤이 맞도록 누울지어다 ^ㅐ이는 素祭(소제)와 奠祭(전제)를 너희 하나님의 殿(전)에 드리지 못함이라
    
14. 너희는 ^ㄱ禁食日(금식일)을 定(정)하고 聖會(성회)를 宣布(선포)하여 ^ㄴ長老(장로)들과 이 땅 모든 居民(거민)을 너희 하나님 여호와의 殿(전)으로 沒收(몰수)히 모으고 여호와께 부르짖을찌어다
    
15. 오호라 그 날이여 ^ㄷ여호와의 날이 가까왔나니 곧 滅亡(멸망)같이 全能者(전능자)에게로서 이르리로다
    

11. Die Ackerleute sehen "jämmerlich," und die Weingärtner heulen um den Weizen und die "Gerste," daß aus der Ernte auf dem Felde nichts werden kann.
    
12. So steht der Weinstock auch jämmerlich und der Feigenbaum kläglich; dazu die "Granatbäume," "Palmbäume," Apfelbäume und alle Bäume auf dem Felde sind verdorrt; denn die Freude der Menschen ist zu Jammer geworden.
    
13. Begürtet euch nun und "klaget," ihr Priester; "heulet," ihr Diener des Altars; gehet hinein und lieget in "Säcken," ihr Diener meines Gottes! denn es ist Speisopfer und Trankopfer vom Hause eures Gottes weg.
    
14. Heiliget ein "Fasten," rufet die Gemeinde zusammen; versammelt die Ältesten und alle Einwohner des Landes zum Hause des "HERRN," eures "Gottes," und schreit zum HERRN!
    
15. O weh des Tages! denn der Tag des HERRN ist nahe und kommt wie ein Verderben vom Allmächtigen.
    

11. Despair, you farmers, wail, you vine growers; grieve for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field is destroyed.
    
12. The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree--all the trees of the field--are dried up. Surely the joy of mankind is withered away.
    
13. Put on sackcloth, O priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.
    
14. Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.
    
15. Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
    

16. 植物(식물)이 우리 目前(목전)에 끊어지지 아니하였느냐 ^ㄹ기쁨과 즐거움이 우리 하나님의 殿(전)에 끊어지지 아니하였느냐
    
17. ^ㅁ씨가 흙덩이 아래서 썩어졌고 倉庫(창고)가 비었고 곳간이 무너졌으니 이는 ^ㅂ穀食(곡식)이 시들었음이로다
    
18. ^ㅅ牲畜(생축)이 歎息(탄식)하고 소떼가 민망해하니 이는 꼴이 없음이라 羊(양)떼도 疲困(피곤)하도다
    
19. ^ㅇ여호와여 내가 主(주)께 부르짖으오니 ^ㅈ불이 거친 들의 풀을 살랐고 불꽃이 밭의 모든 나무를 살랐음이니이다
    
20. ^ㅊ들짐승도 主(주)를 向(향)하여 헐떡거리오니 시내가 다 말랐고 들의 풀이 불에 탔음이니이다
    

16. Ist nicht die Speise vor unsern Augen weggenommen und vom Hause unsers Gottes Freude und Wonne?
    
17. Der Same ist unter der Erde "verfault," die Kornhäuser stehen "wüst," die Scheunen zerfallen; denn das Getreide ist verdorben.
    
18. O wie seufzt das Vieh! Die Rinder sehen "kläglich," denn sie haben keine "Weide," und die Schafe verschmachten.
    
19. HERR, dich rufe ich an; denn das Feuer hat die Auen in der Wüste "verbrannt," und die Flamme hat alle Bäume auf dem Acker angezündet.
    
20. Es schrieen auch die wilden Tiere zu dir; denn die Wasserbäche sind "ausgetrocknet," und das Feuer hat die Auen in der Wüste verbrannt.
    

16. Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes--joy and gladness from the house of our God?
    
17. The seeds are shriveled beneath the clods. The storehouses are in ruins, the granaries have been broken down, for the grain has dried up.
    
18. How the cattle moan! The herds mill about because they have no pasture; even the flocks of sheep are suffering.
    
19. To you, O LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the open pastures and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.
    
20. Even the wild animals pant for you; the streams of water have dried up and fire has devoured the open pastures.
