Und ich versammelte sie ans "Wasser," das gen Ahava kommt; und wir bleiben drei Tage daselbst. Und da ich achthatte aufs Volk und die "Priester," fand ich keine Leviten daselbst. {~} {~}

of the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him 28 men;

of the descendants of Azgad, Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him 110 men;

of the descendants of Adonikam, the last ones, whose names were Eliphelet, Jeuel and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men;

of the descendants of Bigvai, Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.

I assembled them at the canal that flows toward Ahava, and we camped there three days. When I checked among the people and the priests, I found no Levites there.

이에 모든 族長(족장) 곧 엘리에셀과, 아리엘과, 스마야와, 엘라단과, 야립과, 엘라단과, 나단과, 스가랴와, ^ㅊ므술람을 부르고 또 明哲(명철)한 사람 요야립과 엘라단을 불러

가시뱌 地方(지방)으로 보내어 그곳 族長(족장) 잇도에게 나아가게 하고 잇도와 그 兄弟(형제) 곧 가시뱌 地方(지방)에 居(거)한 느디님 사람들에게 할 말을 일러주고 우리 하나님의 殿(전)을 爲(위)하여 隧從(수종)들 者(자)를 데리고 오라 하였더니

^ㅋ우리 하나님의 善(선)한 손의 도우심을 입고 저희가 이스라엘의 孫子(손자) 레위의 아들 ^ㅌ말리의 子孫(자손) 中(중)에서 한 明哲(명철)한 사람을 데려오고 또 세레뱌와 그 아들들과 兄弟(형제) 十八名(십팔명)과

^ㅍ하사뱌와 ^ㅎ므라리 子孫(자손) 中(중) 여사야와 그 兄弟(형제)와 저의 아들들 二十名(이십명)을 데려오고

또 느디님 사람 곧 ^ㅏ다윗과 方伯(방백)들이 주어 레위 사람에게 隧從(수종)들게 한 그 느디님 사람 中(중) 二百(이백) 二十名(이십명)을 데려왔으니 그 이름이 다 ^ㅑ記錄(기록)되었느니라

Da sandte ich hin "Elieser," "Ariel," "Semaja," "Elnathan," "Jarib," "Elnathan," "Nathan," Sacharja und "Mesullam," die "Obersten," und Jojarib und "Elnathan," die "Lehrer,"

und sandte sie aus zu "Iddo," dem "Obersten," gen "Kasphia," daß sie uns holten Diener für das Haus unsers Gottes. Und ich gab ihnen "ein," was sie reden sollten mit Iddo und seinen "Brüdern," den "Tempelknechten," zu Kasphia.

Und sie brachten "uns," nach der guten Hand unsres Gottes über "uns," einen klugen Mann aus den Kindern "Maheli," des Sohnes "Levis," des Sohnes "Israels," und Serebja mit seinen Söhnen und "Brüdern," "achtzehn,"

und Hasabja und mit ihm Jesaja von den Kindern Merari mit seinen Brüdern und ihren "Söhnen," "zwanzig,"

und von den "Tempelknechten," die David und die Fürsten "gaben," zu dienen den "Leviten," "zweihundertundzwanzig," alle mit Namen genannt. {~} {~}

So I summoned Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah and Meshullam, who were leaders, and Joiarib and Elnathan, who were men of learning,

and I sent them to Iddo, the leader in Casiphia. I told them what to say to Iddo and his kinsmen, the temple servants in Casiphia, so that they might bring attendants to us for the house of our God.

Because the gracious hand of our God was on us, they brought us Sherebiah, a capable man, from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel, and Sherebiah's sons and brothers, 18 men;

and Hashabiah, together with Jeshaiah from the descendants of Merari, and his brothers and nephews, 20 men.

They also brought 220 of the temple servants--a body that David and the officials had established to assist the Levites. All were registered by name.

때에 내가 ^ㅓ아하와江(강) 가에서 ^ㅕ禁食(금식)을 宣布(선포)하고 우리 하나님 앞에서 스스로 兼備(겸비)하여 우리와 우리 어린 것과 모든 所有(소유)를 爲(위)하여 ^ㅗ平坦(평탄)한 길을 그에게 懇求(간구)하였으니

이는 우리가 前(전)에 王(왕)에게 告(고)하기를 ^ㅛ우리 하나님의 손은 ^ㅜ自己(자기)를 찾는 모든 者(자)에게 善(선)을 베푸시고 自己(자기)를 背叛(배반)하는 모든 者(자)에게는 權能(권능)과 震怒(진노)를 베푸신다 하였으므로 길에서 敵軍(적군)을 막고 우리를 도울 步兵(보병)과 馬兵(마병)을 王(왕)에게 求(구)하기를 부끄러워 하였음이라

그러므로 우리가 이를 爲(위)하여 禁食(금식)하며 우리 하나님께 懇求(간구)하였더니 그 應諾(응낙)하심을 입었느니라

그 때에 내가 祭司長(제사장)의 頭目(두목) 中(중) 十二人(십이인) 곧 세레뱌와 하사뱌와 그 兄弟(형제) 十人(십인)을 따로 세우고

저희에게 王(왕)과 ^ㅠ謀士(모사)들과 方伯(방백)들과 또 그곳에 있는 이스라엘 무리가 우리 하나님의 殿(전)을 爲(위)하여 드린 ^으銀(은)과 金(금)과 器皿(기명)들을 달아서 주었으니

Und ich ließ daselbst am Wasser bei Ahava ein Fasten "ausrufen," daß wir uns demütigten vor unserm "Gott," zu suchen von ihm einen richtigen Weg für uns und unsre Kinder und alle unsre Habe.

Denn ich schämte mich vom König Geleit und Reiter zu "fordern," uns wider die Feinde zu helfen auf dem Wege. Denn wir hatten dem König gesagt: Die Hand unsres Gottes ist zum Besten über "alle," die ihn "suchen," und seine Stärke und Zorn über "alle," die ihn verlassen. {~}

Also fasteten wir und suchten solches von unserm "Gott," und er hörte uns.

Und ich sonderte zwölf aus von den obersten "Priestern," dazu Serebja und Hasabja und mit ihnen ihrer Brüder "zehn," {~}

und wog ihnen dar das Silber und Gold und die Gefäße zur Hebe für das Haus unsres "Gottes," welche der König und seine Ratsherren und Fürsten und ganz "Israel," das vorhanden "war," zur Hebe gegeben hatten.

There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.

I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, "The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him."

So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.

Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah and ten of their brothers,

and I weighed out to them the offering of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his advisers, his officials and all Israel present there had donated for the house of our God.

^이내가 달아서 저희 손에 준 것은 銀(은)이 六百(육백) 五十(오십) 달란트요, 銀(은) 器皿(기명)이 一百(일백) 달란트요, 金(금)이 一百(일백) 달란트며

또 金盞(금잔)이 二十個(이십개)라 重數(중수)는 一千(일천) 다릭이요 또 아름답고 빛나 金(금)같이 보배로운 놋그릇이 두 個(개)라

내가 저희에게 이르되 ^ㅐ너희는 여호와께 거룩한 者(자)요, ^ㄱ이 器皿(기명)들도 거룩하고 그 銀(은)과 金(금)은 너희 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와께 즐거이 드린 禮物(예물)이니

너희는 예루살렘 ^ㄴ여호와의 殿(전) 골房(방)에 이르러 祭司長(제사장)의 頭目(두목)들과 레위 사람의 頭目(두목)들과 이스라엘 族長(족장) 앞에서 이 器皿(기명)을 달기까지 삼가 지키라

이에 祭司長(제사장)들과 레위 사람들이 銀(은)과 金(금)과 器皿(기명)을 예루살렘 우리 하나님의 殿(전)으로 가져가려 하여 그 重數(중수)대로 받으니라

Und wog ihnen dar unter ihre Hand sechshundertundfünfzig Zentner Silber und an silbernen Gefäßen hundert zentner und an Gold hundert "Zentner," {~}

zwanzig goldene "Becher," tausend Goldgulden "wert," und zwei "eherne," köstliche "Gefäße," lauter wie Gold. {~}

Und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid heilig dem "HERRN," so sind die Gefäße auch heilig; dazu das frei gegebene Silber und Gold dem "HERRN," eurer Väter Gott.

So wacht und bewahrt "es," bis daß ihr's darwägt vor den Obersten Priestern und Leviten und den Obersten der Vaterhäuser in Israel zu Jerusalem in die Kammer des Hauses des HERRN.

Da nahmen die Priester und Leviten das gewogene Silber und Gold und die "Gefäße," daß sie es brächten gen Jerusalem zum Hause unsres Gottes.

I weighed out to them 650 talents of silver, silver articles weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

20 bowls of gold valued at 1,000 darics, and two fine articles of polished bronze, as precious as gold.

I said to them, "You as well as these articles are consecrated to the LORD. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests and the Levites and the family heads of Israel."

Then the priests and Levites received the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.

^ㄷ正月(정월) 十二日(십이일)에 우리가 아하와江(강)을 떠나 예루살렘으로 갈새 우리 ^ㄹ하나님의 손이 우리를 도우사 對敵(대적)과 길에 埋伏(매복)한 者(자)의 손에서 건지신지라

^ㅁ이에 예루살렘에 이르러 거기서 三日(삼일)을 留(유)하고

第(제) 四日(사일)에 우리 하나님의 殿(전)에서 銀(은)과 金(금)과 器皿(기명)을 달아서 祭司長(제사장) 우리아의 아들 ^ㅂ므레못의 손에 붙이니 비느하스의 아들 엘르아살과, 레위 사람 예수아의 아들 ^ㅅ요사밧과, ^ㅇ빈누이의 아들 노아댜가 함께 있어

모든 것을 다 計數(계수)하고 달아보고 그 重數(중수)를 當場(당장)에 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)하였느니라

^ㅈ사로잡혔던 者(자)의 子孫(자손) 곧 異邦(이방)에서 돌아온 者(자)들이 이스라엘 하나님께 燔祭(번제)를 드렸는데 이스라엘 全體(전체)를 爲(위)한 수송아지가 ^ㅊ열 둘이요, 또 수羊(양)이 아흔 여섯이요, 어린 羊(양)이 일흔 일곱이요, 또 贖罪祭(속죄제)의 수염소가 열 둘이니 모두 여호와께 드린 燔祭物(번제물)이라

Also brachen wir auf von dem Wasser Ahava am zwölften Tage des ersten "Monats," daß wir gen Jerusalem zögen. Und die Hand unsres Gottes war über uns und errettete uns von der Hand der Feinde und "derer," die uns nachstellten auf dem Wege.

Und wir kamen gen Jerusalem und blieben daselbst drei Tage.

Aber am vierten Tage wurden dargewogen das Silber und Gold und die Gefäße ins Haus unsres Gottes unter die Hand des Priesters "Meremoth," des Sohnes "Urias," und mit ihm "Eleasar," dem Sohn "Pinehas," und mit ihnen "Josabad," dem Sohn "Jesuas," und "Noadja," dem Sohn "Binnuis," den "Leviten,"

nach Zahl und Gewicht eines jeglichen; und das Gewicht ward zu der Zeit alles aufgeschrieben.

Und die Kinder der "Gefangenschaft," die aus der Gefangenschaft gekommen "waren," opferten Brandopfer dem Gott Israels: zwölf Farren für das ganze "Israel," sechsundneunzig "Widder," siebenundsiebzig "Lämmer," zwölf Böcke zum "Sündopfer," alles zum Brandopfer dem HERRN. {~} {~}

On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way.

So we arrived in Jerusalem, where we rested three days.

On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and the sacred articles into the hands of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him, and so were the Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

Everything was accounted for by number and weight, and the entire weight was recorded at that time.

Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel: twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven male lambs and, as a sin offering, twelve male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.

^ㅋ무리가 또 王(왕)의 詔書(조서)를 ^ㅌ王(왕)의 官員(관원)과 江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독)들에게 부치매 저희가 百姓(백성)과 하나님의 殿(전)을 도왔느니라

Und sie überantworteten des Königs Befehle den Amtleuten des Königs und den Landpflegern diesseit des Wassers. Und diese halfen dem Volk und dem Hause Gottes.

They also delivered the king's orders to the royal satraps and to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, who then gave assistance to the people and to the house of God.
