1. ^ㄱ太初(태초)부터 ^ㄴ있는 生命(생명)의 말씀에 關(관)하여는 ^ㄷ우리가 들은바요 ^ㄹ눈으로 본 바요 ^ㅁ注目(주목)하고 우리 ^ㅂ손으로 만진 바라
   
2. ^ㅅ이 生命(생명)이 ^ㅇ나타내신 바 된지라 이 永遠(영원)한 生命(생명)을 우리가 보았고 ^ㅈ證據(증거)하여 너희에게 傳(전)하노니 이는 아버지와 함께 계시다가 우리에게 나타내신 바 된 者(자)니라
   
3. 우리가 보고 들은 바를 너희에게도 傳(전)함은 너희로 우리와 사귐이 있게 하려 함이니 ^ㅊ우리의 사귐은 아버지와 그 아들 예수 그리스도와 함께 함이라
   
4. 우리가 이것을 씀은 ^ㅋ우리의 기쁨이 充滿(충만)케 하려 함이로라
   
5. ^ㅌ우리가 저에게서 듣고 너희에게 傳(전)하는 消息(소식)이 이것이니 곧 ^ㅍ하나님은 빛이시라 그에게는 어두움이 조금도 없으시니라
   

1. Das da von Anfang "war," das wir gehört "haben," das wir gesehen haben mit unsern "Augen," das wir beschaut haben und unsre Hände betastet "haben," vom Wort des Lebens
   
2. und das Leben ist "erschienen," und wir haben gesehen und bezeugen und verkündigen euch das "Leben," das ewig "ist," welches war bei dem Vater und ist uns erschienen:
   
3. was wir gesehen und gehört "haben," das verkündigen wir "euch," auf daß ihr mit uns Gemeinschaft habt; und unsre Gemeinschaft ist mit dem Vater und mit seinem Sohn Jesus Christus.
   
4. Und solches schreiben wir "euch," auf daß eure Freude völlig sei.
   
5. Und das ist die "Verkündigung," die wir von ihm gehört haben und euch "verkündigen," daß Gott Licht ist und in ihm ist keine Finsternis.
   

1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
   
2. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
   
3. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
   
4. We write this to make our joy complete.
   
5. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
   

6. ^ㅎ萬一(만일) 우리가 하나님과 사귐이 있다 하고 어두운 가운데 行(행)하면 거짓말을 하고 ^ㅏ眞理(진리)를 行(행)치 아니함이거니와
   
7. ^ㅑ저가 빛 가운데 계신 것같이 ^ㅓ우리도 빛 가운데 行(행)하면 우리가 서로 사귐이 있고 ^ㅕ그 아들 예수의 피가 우리를 모든 罪(죄)에서 깨끗하게 하실 것이요
   
8. ^ㅗ萬一(만일) 우리가 罪(죄) 없다 하면 스스로 속이고 또 ^ㅛ眞理(진리)가 우리 속에 있지 아니할 것이요
   
9. ^ㅜ萬一(만일) 우리가 우리 罪(죄)를 自白(자백)하면 저는 ^ㅠ미쁘시고 義(의)로우사 우리 罪(죄)를 赦(사)하시며 모든 不義(불의)에서 우리를 깨끗케 하실 것이요
   
10. 萬一(만일) 우리가 犯罪(범죄)하지 아니하였다 하면 ^으하나님을 거짓말하는 者(자)로 만드는 것이니 또한 ^이그의 말씀이 우리 속에 있지 아니하니라
    

6. So wir "sagen," daß wir Gemeinschaft mit ihm "haben," und wandeln in der "Finsternis," so lügen wir und tun nicht die Wahrheit.
   
7. So wir aber im Licht "wandeln," wie er im Licht "ist," so haben wir Gemeinschaft "untereinander," und das Blut Jesu "Christi," seines "Sohnes," macht uns rein von aller Sünde.
   
8. So wir "sagen," wir haben keine "Sünde," so verführen wir uns "selbst," und die Wahrheit ist nicht in uns.
   
9. So wir aber unsre Sünden "bekennen," so ist er treu und "gerecht," daß er uns die Sünden vergibt und reinigt uns von aller Untugend.
   
10. So wir "sagen," wir haben nicht "gesündigt," so machen wir ihn zum "Lügner," und sein Wort ist nicht in uns.
    

6. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
   
7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
   
8. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
   
9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
   
10. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
