1. 하가랴의 아들 ^ㄱ느헤미야의 말이라 아닥사스다 王(왕) ^ㄴ第(제) 二十年(이십년) ^ㄷ기슬르月(월)에 내가 ^ㄹ수산宮(궁)에 있더니
   
2. 나의 한 兄弟(형제) 中(중) ^ㅁ하나니가 두어 사람과 함께 유다에서 이르렀기로 내가 그 사로잡힘을 免(면)하고 남아있는 유다 사람과 예루살렘 形便(형편)을 물은즉
   
3. 저희가 내게 이르되 사로잡힘을 免(면)하고 남은 者(자)가 그 道(도)에서 큰 患難(환난)을 만나고 ^ㅂ凌辱(릉욕)을 받으며 ^ㅅ예루살렘 城(성)은 毁破(훼파)되고 ^ㅇ城門(성문)들은 燒火(소화)되었다 하는지라
   
4. 내가 이 말을 듣고 ^ㅈ앉아서 울고 數日(수일) 동안 슬퍼하며 ^ㅊ하늘의 하나님 앞에 禁食(금식)하며 祈禱(기도)하여
   
5. 가로되 하늘의 하나님 여호와 ^ㅋ크고 두려우신 하나님이여 主(주)를 사랑하고 主(주)의 誡命(계명)을 지키는 者(자)에게 言約(언약)을 지키시며 矜恤(긍휼)을 베푸시는 主(주)여 懇求(간구)하나이다
   

1. Dies sind die Geschichten "Nehemias," des Sohnes Hachaljas. Es geschah im Monat Chislev des zwanzigsten "Jahres," da ich war zu Susan auf dem "Schloß,"
   
2. da kam "Hanani," einer meiner "Brüder," mit etlichen Männern aus Juda. Und ich fragte "sie," wie es den Juden "ginge," die errettet und übrig waren von der "Gefangenschaft," und wie es zu Jerusalem ginge. {~} {~}
   
3. Und sie sprachen zu mir: Die übrigen von der Gefangenschaft sind daselbst im Lande in großem Unglück und Schmach; die Mauern Jerusalems sind zerbrochen und seine Tore mit Feuer verbrannt. {~} {~}
   
4. Da ich aber solche Worte "hörte," saß ich und weinte und trug Leid etliche Tage und fastete und betete vor dem Gott des Himmels
   
5. und sprach: Ach "HERR," Gott des "Himmels," großer und schrecklicher "Gott," der da hält den Bund und die Barmherzigkeit "denen," die ihn lieben und seine Gebote "halten,"
   

1. The words of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah: In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa,
   
2. Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.
   
3. They said to me, "Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire."
   
4. When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.
   
5. Then I said: "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands,
   

6. 이제 종이 主(주)의 종 이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 爲(위)하여 晝夜(주야)로 祈禱(기도)하오며 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 主(주) 앞에 犯罪(범죄)함을 ^ㅌ自服(자복)하오니 主(주)는 귀를 기울이시며 ^ㅍ눈을 여시사 종의 祈禱(기도)를 들으시옵소서 ^ㅎ나와 나의 아비 집이 犯罪(범죄)하여
   
7. ^ㅏ主(주)를 向(향)하여 甚(심)히 惡(악)을 行(행)하여 ^ㅑ主(주)의 종 모세에게 主(주)께서 命(명)하신 誡命(계명)과 律例(율례)와 規例(규례)를 지키지 아니하였나이다
   
8. 옛적에 主(주)께서 主(주)의 종 모세에게 命(명)하여 가라사대 萬一(만일) 너희가 犯罪(범죄)하면 ^ㅓ내가 너희를 列國(렬국) 中(중)에 흩을 것이요
   
9. ^ㅕ萬一(만일) 내게로 돌아와서 내 誡命(계명)을 지켜 行(행)하면 ^ㅗ너희 쫓긴 者(자)가 하늘 끝에 있을지라도 내가 거기서 부터 모아 ^ㅛ내 이름을 두려고 擇(택)한 곳에 돌아오게 하리라 하신 말씀을 이제 請(청)컨대 記憶(기억)하옵소서
   
10. ^ㅜ이들은 主(주)께서 일찍 큰 權能(권능)과 强(강)한 손으로 救贖(구속)하신 主(주)의 종이요 主(주)의 百姓(백성)이니이다
    

6. laß doch deine Ohren aufmerken und deine Augen offen "sein," daß du hörst das Gebet deines "Knechtes," das ich nun vor dir bete Tag und Nacht für die Kinder "Israel," deine "Knechte," und bekenne die Sünden der Kinder "Israel," die wir an dir getan haben; und ich und meines Vaters Haus haben auch gesündigt. {~} {~}
   
7. Wir haben an dir "mißgehandelt," daß wir nicht gehalten haben die "Gebote," Befehle und "Rechte," die du geboten hast deinem Knecht Mose.
   
8. Gedenke aber doch des "Wortes," das du deinem Knecht Mose gebotest und sprachst: Wenn ihr euch "versündigt," so will ich euch unter die Völker streuen.
   
9. Wo ihr euch aber bekehrt zu mir und haltet meine Gebote und tut "sie," und ob ihr verstoßen wäret bis an der Himmel "Ende," so will ich euch doch von da versammeln und will euch bringen an den "Ort," den ich erwählt "habe," daß mein Name daselbst wohne.
   
10. Sie sind ja doch deine Knechte und dein "Volk," die du erlöst hast durch deine große Kraft und mächtige Hand.
    

6. let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father's house, have committed against you.
   
7. We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
   
8. "Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations,
   
9. but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.'
   
10. "They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand.
    

11. 主(주)여 求(구)하오니 귀를 기울이사 종의 祈禱(기도)와 主(주)의 이름을 敬畏(경외)하기를 기뻐하는 종들의 祈禱(기도)를 들으시고 오늘날 종으로 亨通(형통)하여 이 사람 앞에서 恩惠(은혜)를 입게 하옵소서 하였나니 그 때에 내가 ^ㅠ王(왕)의 술 官員(관원)이 되었었느니라
    

11. Ach "HERR," laß deine Ohren aufmerken auf das Gebet deines Knechtes und auf das Gebet deiner "Knechte," die da begehren deinen Namen zu fürchten; und laß es deinem Knecht heute gelingen und gib ihm Barmherzigkeit vor diesem Manne! Denn ich war des Königs Schenke. {~}
    

11. O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man." I was cupbearer to the king.
