1. 예수는 橄欖山(감람산)으로 가시다
   
2. ^ㅇ아침에 다시 聖殿(성전)으로 들어오시니 百姓(백성)이 다 나오는 지라 ^ㅈ앉으사 저희를 가르치시더니
   
3. 서기관들과 바리새人(인)들이 姦淫(간음) 中(중)에 잡힌 女子(녀자)를 끌고 와서 가운데 세우고
   
4. 예수께 말하되 先生(선생)이여, 이 女子(녀자)가 姦淫(간음)하다가 現場(현장)에서 잡혔나이다
   
5. 모세는 ^ㅊ律法(률법)에 이러한 女子(녀자)를 ^ㅋ돌로 치라 命(명)하였거니와 先生(선생)은 어떻게 말하겠나이까
   

1. Jesus aber ging an den Ölberg.
   
2. Und frühmorgens kam er wieder in den "Tempel," und alles Volk kam zu ihm; und er setzte sich und lehrte sie.
   
3. Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer brachten ein Weib zu "ihm," im Ehebruch "ergriffen," und stellten sie in die Mitte dar
   
4. und sprachen zu ihm: "Meister," dies Weib ist ergriffen auf frischer Tat im Ehebruch.
   
5. Mose aber hat uns im Gesetz "geboten," solche zu steinigen; was sagst du?
   

1. But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
   
2. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.
   
3. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group
   
4. and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
   
5. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"
   

6. 저희가 이렇게 말함은 ^ㅌ告訴(고소)할 條件(조건)을 얻고자 하여 ^ㅍ예수를 試驗(시험)함이러라 예수께서 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
   
7. 저희가 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 가라사대 ^ㅎ너희 中(중)에 罪(죄) 없는 者(자)가 ^ㅏ먼저 돌로 치라 하시고
   
8. 다시 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
   
9. 저희가 이 말씀을 듣고 良心(량심)의 呵責(가책)을 받아 어른으로 始作(시작)하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가운데 섰는 女子(녀자)만 남았더라
   
10. 예수께서 일어나사 女子(녀자) 外(외)에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시되 女子(녀자)여, 너를 告訴(고소)하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 定罪(정죄)한 者(자)가 없느냐
    

6. Das sprachen sie "aber," ihn zu "versuchen," auf daß sie eine Sache wider ihn hätten. Aber Jesus bückte sich nieder und schrieb mit dem Finger auf die Erde. {} {}
   
7. Als sie nun "anhielten," ihn zu "fragen," richtete er sich auf und sprach zu ihnen: Wer unter euch ohne Sünde "ist," der werfe den ersten Stein auf sie.
   
8. Und bückte sich wieder nieder und schrieb auf die Erde.
   
9. Da sie aber das "hörten," gingen sie hinaus (von ihrem Gewissen "überführt)," einer nach dem "andern," von den Ältesten bis zu den Geringsten; und Jesus ward gelassen allein und das Weib in der Mitte stehend.
   
10. Jesus aber richtete sich auf; und da er niemand sah denn das "Weib," sprach er zu ihr: "Weib," wo sind "sie," deine Verkläger? Hat dich niemand verdammt?
    

6. They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
   
7. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
   
8. Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
   
9. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
   
10. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
    

11. 對答(대답)하되 主(주)여, 없나이다 예수께서 가라사대 ^ㅑ나도 너를 定罪(정죄)하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 ^ㅓ罪(죄)를 犯(범)치 말라 하시니라
    
12. ^ㅕ예수께서 또 일러 가라사대 ^ㅗ나는 世上(세상)의 빛이니 ^ㅛ나를 따르는 者(자)는 ^ㅜ어두움에 다니지 아니하고 生命(생명)의 빛을 얻으리라
    
13. 바리새人(인)들이 가로되 ^ㅠ네가 너를 爲(위)하여 證據(증거)하니 네 證據(증거)는 참되지 아니하도다
    
14. 예수께서 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 내가 나를 爲(위)하여 證據(증거)하여도 ^으내 證據(증거)가 참되니 나는 내가 ^이어디서 오며 ^ㅐ어디로 가는 것을 앎이어니와 ^ㄱ너희는 내가 어디서 오며 어디로 가는 것을 알지 못하느니라
    
15. ^ㄴ너희는 肉體(육체)를 따라 判斷(판단)하나 ^ㄷ나는 아무도 判斷(판단)치 아니하노라
    

11. Sie aber sprach: "HERR," niemand. Jesus aber sprach: So verdamme ich dich auch nicht; gehe hin und sündige hinfort nicht mehr!
    
12. Da redete Jesus abermals zu ihnen und sprach: Ich bin das Licht der Welt; wer mir "nachfolgt," der wird nicht wandeln in der "Finsternis," sondern wir das Licht des Lebens haben.
    
13. Da sprachen die Pharisäer zu ihm: Du zeugst von dir selbst; dein Zeugnis ist nicht wahr.
    
14. Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: So ich von mir selbst zeugen "würde," so ist mein Zeugnis wahr; denn ich "weiß," woher ich gekommen bin und wohin ich gehe; ihr aber wißt "nicht," woher ich komme und wohin ich gehe.
    
15. Ihr richtet nach dem Fleisch; ich richte niemand.
    

11. "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
    
12. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
    
13. The Pharisees challenged him, "Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid."
    
14. Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.
    
15. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one.
    

16. 萬一(만일) 내가 判斷(판단)하여도 ^ㄹ내 判斷(판단)이 참되니 이는 ^ㅁ내가 혼자 있는 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 계심이라
    
17. ^ㅂ너희 律法(률법)에도 두 사람의 證據(증거)가 참되다 記錄(기록)하였으니
    
18. 내가 나를 爲(위)하여 證據(증거)하는 者(자)가 되고 ^ㅅ나를 보내신 아버지도 나를 爲(위)하여 證據(증거)하시느니라
    
19. 이에 저희가 묻되 네 아버지가 어디 있느냐 예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 ^ㅇ너희는 나를 알지 못하고 내 아버지도 알지 못하는도다 ^ㅈ나를 알았더면 내 아버지도 알았으리라
    
20. 이 말씀은 聖殿(성전)에서 가르치실 때에 ^ㅊ捐補櫃(연보궤) 앞에서 하셨으나 ^ㅋ잡는 사람이 없으니 이는 ^ㅌ그의 때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라
    

16. So ich aber "richte," so ist mein Gericht recht; denn ich bin nicht "allein," sondern ich und der "Vater," der mich gesandt hat.
    
17. Auch steht in eurem Gesetz "geschrieben," daß zweier Menschen Zeugnis wahr sei.
    
18. Ich "bin's," der ich von mir selbst zeuge; und der "Vater," der mich gesandt "hat," zeugt auch von mir.
    
19. Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wo ist dein Vater? Jesus antwortete: Ihr kennt weder mich noch meinen Vater; wenn ihr mich "kenntet," so kenntet ihr auch meinen Vater.
    
20. Diese Worte redete Jesus an dem "Gotteskasten," da er lehrte im Tempel; und niemand griff "ihn," denn seine Stunde war noch nicht gekommen.
    

16. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.
    
17. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.
    
18. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."
    
19. Then they asked him, "Where is your father?" "You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
    
20. He spoke these words while teaching in the temple area near the place where the offerings were put. Yet no one seized him, because his time had not yet come.
    

21. 다시 이르시되 ^ㅍ내가 가리니 ^ㅎ너희가 나를 찾다가 ^ㅏ너희 罪(죄) 가운데서 죽겠고 나의 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라
    
22. 유대人(인)들이 가로되 저가 나의 가는 곳에는 너희가 오지 못하리라 하니 ^ㅑ저가 自決(자결)하려는가
    
23. 예수께서 ^ㅓ가라사대 너희는 아래서 났고 나는 위에서 났으며 ^ㅕ너희는 이 世上(세상)에 屬(속)하였고 ^ㅗ나는 이 世上(세상)에 屬(속)하지 아니하였느니라
    
24. 이러므로 내가 너희에게 말하기를 너희가 ^ㅛ너희 罪(죄) 가운데서 죽으리라 하였노라 너희가 萬一(만일) ^ㅜ내가 그인줄 ^ㅠ믿지 아니하면 너희 罪(죄) 가운데서 죽으리라
    
25. 저희가 말하되 ^으네가 누구냐 예수께서 가라사대 ^이나는 처음부터 너희에게 말하여 온 者(자)니라
    

21. Da sprach Jesus abermals zu ihnen: Ich gehe "hinweg," und ihr werdet mich suchen und in eurer Sünde sterben. Wo ich hin "gehe," da könnet ihr nicht hin kommen.
    
22. Da sprachen die Juden: Will er sich denn selbst "töten," daß er spricht: Wohin ich "gehe," da könnet ihr nicht hin "kommen""""?"
    
23. Und er sprach zu ihnen: Ihr seid von "untenher," ich bin von obenher; ihr seid von dieser "Welt," ich bin nicht von dieser Welt.
    
24. So habe ich euch "gesagt," daß ihr sterben werdet in euren Sünden; denn so ihr nicht "glaubt," daß ich es "sei," so werdet ihr sterben in euren Sünden.
    
25. Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wer bist du denn? Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Erstlich "der," der ich mit euch rede.
    

21. Once more Jesus said to them, "I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come."
    
22. This made the Jews ask, "Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, 'Where I go, you cannot come'?"
    
23. But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
    
24. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins."
    
25. "Who are you?" they asked. "Just what I have been claiming all along," Jesus replied.
    

26. 내가 너희를 對(대)하여 말하고 判斷(판단)할 것이 많으나 ^ㅐ나를 보내신 이가 참되시매 ^ㄱ내가 그에게 들은 그것을 ^ㄴ世上(세상)에게 말하노라 하시되
    
27. ^ㄷ저희는 아버지를 가리켜 말씀하신 줄을 깨닫지 못하더라
    
28. 이에 예수께서 가라사대 너희는 ^ㄹ人子(인자)를 든 後(후)에 ^ㅁ내가 그인 줄을 알고 또 ^ㅂ내가 스스로 아무 것도 하지 아니하고 오직 ^ㅅ아버지께서 가르치신 대로 이런 것을 말하는 줄도 ^ㅇ알리라
    
29. ^ㅈ나를 보내신 이가 나와 함께 하시도다 ^ㅊ내가 恒常(항상) 그의 기뻐하시는 일을 行(행)하므로 나를 혼자 두지 아니하셨느니라
    
30. 이 말씀을 하시매 ^ㅋ많은 사람이 믿더라
    

26. Ich habe viel von euch zu reden und zu richten; aber der mich gesandt "hat," ist "wahrhaftig," und was ich von ihm gehört "habe," das rede ich vor der Welt.
    
27. Sie verstanden aber "nicht," daß er ihnen von dem Vater sagte.
    
28. Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr des Menschen Sohn erhöhen "werdet," dann werdet ihr "erkennen," daß ich es sei und nichts von mir selber "tue," sondern wie mich mein Vater gelehrt "hat," so rede ich.
    
29. Und der mich gesandt "hat," ist mit mir. Der Vater läßt mich nicht allein; denn ich tue "allezeit," was ihm gefällt.
    
30. Da er solches "redete," glaubten viele an ihn.
    

26. "I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is reliable, and what I have heard from him I tell the world."
    
27. They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.
    
28. So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.
    
29. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him."
    
30. Even as he spoke, many put their faith in him.
    

31. 그러므로 예수께서 自己(자기)를 믿은 유대人(인)들에게 이르시되 ^ㅌ너희가 내 말에 居(거)하면 참 내 弟子(제자)가 되고
    
32. ^ㅍ眞理(진리)를 알지니 眞理(진리)가 ^ㅎ너희를 自由(자유)케 하리라
    
33. 저희가 對答(대답)하되 ^ㅏ우리가 아브라함의 子孫(자손)이라 남의 종이 된 적이 없거늘 어찌하여 우리가 自由(자유)케 되리라 하느냐
    
34. 예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 眞實(진실)로 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 ^ㅑ罪(죄)를 犯(범)하는 者(자)마다 罪(죄)의 종이라
    
35. ^ㅓ종은 永遠(영원)히 집에 居(거)하지 못하되 ^ㅕ아들은 永遠(영원)히 居(거)하나니
    

31. Da sprach nun Jesus zu den "Juden," die an ihn glaubten: So ihr bleiben werdet an meiner "Rede," so seid ihr meine rechten Jünger
    
32. und werdet die Wahrheit "erkennen," und die Wahrheit wird euch frei machen.
    
33. Da antworteten sie ihm: Wir sind Abrahams "Samen," sind niemals jemandes Knecht gewesen; wie sprichst du denn: Ihr sollt frei "werden""""?"
    
34. Jesus antwortete ihnen und sprach: "Wahrlich," wahrlich ich sage euch: Wer Sünde "tut," der ist der Sünde Knecht.
    
35. Der Knecht aber bleibt nicht ewiglich im Hause; der Sohn bleibt ewiglich.
    

31. To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
    
32. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
    
33. They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"
    
34. Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
    
35. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.
    

36. 그러므로 ^ㅗ아들이 너희를 自由(자유)케 하면 너희가 참으로 自由(자유)하리라
    
37. 나도 너희가 아브라함의 子孫(자손)인 줄 아노라 그러나 내 말이 너희 속에 있을 곳이 없으므로 ^ㅛ나를 죽이려 하는도다
    
38. ^ㅜ나는 내 아버지에게서 본 것을 말하고 너희는 ^ㅠ너희 아비에게서 들은 것을 行(행)하느니라
    
39. 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ^으우리 아버지는 아브라함이라 하니 예수께서 가라사대 ^이너희가 아브라함의 子孫(자손)이면 아브라함의 行事(행사)를 할 것이어늘
    
40. 지금 하나님께 ^ㅐ들은 眞理(진리)를 너희에게 말한 사람인 ^ㄱ나를 죽이려 하는도다 아브라함은 이렇게 하지 아니하였느니라
    

36. So euch nun der Sohn frei "macht," so seid ihr recht frei.
    
37. Ich weiß "wohl," daß ihr Abrahams Samen seid; aber ihr sucht mich zu "töten," denn meine Rede fängt nicht bei euch.
    
38. Ich "rede," was ich von meinem Vater gesehen habe; so tut "ihr," was ihr von eurem Vater gesehen habt.
    
39. Sie antworteten und sprachen zu ihm: Abraham ist unser Vater. Spricht Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr Abrahams Kinder "wärt," so tätet ihr Abrahams Werke.
    
40. Nun aber sucht ihr mich zu "töten," einen solchen "Menschen," der ich euch die Wahrheit gesagt "habe," die ich von Gott gehört habe. Das hat Abraham nicht getan.
    

36. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
    
37. I know you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word.
    
38. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you do what you have heard from your father."
    
39. "Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did.
    
40. As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things.
    

41. 너희는 너희 아비의 行事(행사)를 하는도다 對答(대답)하되 ^ㄴ우리가 淫亂(음란)한 데서 나지 아니하였고 ^ㄷ아버지는 한 분뿐이시니 곧 하나님이시로다
    
42. 예수께서 가라사대 ^ㄹ하나님이 너희 아버지였으면 너희가 나를 사랑하였으리니 이는 ^ㅁ내가 하나님께로 나서 ^ㅂ왔음이라 ^ㅅ나는 스스로 온 것이 아니요 ^ㅇ아버지께서 나를 보내신 것이니라
    
43. ^ㅈ어찌븐Ȼ 븐Ȼ 婢ˤ 闠ˤ 빸Ȼ 븰Ȼ 䀀 븰Ȼ ont>내 말을 들을 줄 알지 못함이로다
    
44. ^ㅋ너희는 너희 아비 魔鬼(마귀)에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 慾心(욕심)을 너희도 行(행)하고자 하느니라 저는 처음부터 ^ㅌ殺人(살인)한 者(자)요 ^ㅍ眞理(진리)가 그 속에 없으므로 眞理(진리)에 서지 못하고 ^ㅎ거짓을 말할 때마다 제 것으로 말하나니 이는 저가 거짓말장이요 거짓의 아비가 되었음이니라
    
45. 내가 眞理(진리)를 말하므로 너희가 나를 믿지 아니하는도다
    

41. Ihr tut eures Vaters Werke. Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Wir sind nicht unehelich "geboren," wir haben einen "Vater," Gott.
    
42. Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wäre Gott euer "Vater," so liebtet ihr mich; denn ich bin ausgegangen und komme von Gott; denn ich bin nicht von mir selber "gekommen," sondern er hat mich gesandt.
    
43. Warum kennet ihr denn meine Sprache nicht? Denn ihr könnt ja mein Wort nicht hören.
    
44. Ihr seid von dem "Vater," dem "Teufel," und nach eures Vaters Lust wollt ihr tun. Der ist ein Mörder von Anfang und ist nicht bestanden in der Wahrheit; denn die Wahrheit ist nicht in ihm. Wenn er die Lüge "redet," so redet er von seinem Eigenen; denn er ist ein Lügner und ein Vater derselben.
    
45. Ich "aber," weil ich die Wahrheit "sage," so glaubet ihr mir nicht.
    

41. You are doing the things your own father does." "We are not illegitimate children," they protested. "The only Father we have is God himself."
    
42. Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.
    
43. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.
    
44. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
    
45. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
    

46. 너희 中(중)에 누가 나를 罪(죄)로 責(책)잡겠느냐 내가 眞理(진리)를 말하매 어찌하여 나를 믿지 아니하느냐
    
47. ^ㅏ하나님께 屬(속)한 者(자)는 하나님의 말씀을 듣나니 ^ㅑ너희가 듣지 아니함은 ^ㅓ하나님께 屬(속)하지 아니하였음이로다
    
48. 유대人(인)들이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 우리가 너를 사마리아 사람이라 또는 ^ㅕ鬼神(귀신)이 들렸다 하는 말이 옳지 아니하냐
    
49. 예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 나는 鬼神(귀신) 들린 것이 아니라 오직 내 ^ㅗ아버지를 恭敬(공경)함이어늘 너희가 나를 無視(무시)하는도다
    
50. ^ㅛ나는 내 榮光(영광)을 求(구)치 아니하나 求(구)하고 判斷(판단)하시는 이가 계시니라
    

46. Welcher unter euch kann mich einer Sünde zeihen? So ich aber die Wahrheit "sage," warum glaubet ihr mir nicht?
    
47. Wer von Gott "ist," der hört Gottes Worte; darum hört ihr "nicht," denn ihr seid nicht von Gott.
    
48. Da antworteten die Juden und sprachen zu ihm: Sagen wir nicht "recht," daß du ein Samariter bist und hast den Teufel?
    
49. Jesus antwortete: Ich habe keinen "Teufel," sondern ich ehre meinen "Vater," und ihr unehret mich.
    
50. Ich suche nicht meine Ehre; es ist aber "einer," der sie "sucht," und richtet.
    

46. Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me?
    
47. He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
    
48. The Jews answered him, "Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?"
    
49. "I am not possessed by a demon," said Jesus, "but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.
    
50. I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.
    

51. 眞實(진실)로 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 ^ㅜ사람이 내 말을 지키면 ^ㅠ죽음을 永遠(영원)히 보지 아니하리라
    
52. 유대人(인)들이 가로되 지금 네가 鬼神(귀신)들린 줄을 아노라 ^으아브라함과 先知者(선지자)들도 죽었거늘 ^이네 말은 사람이 내 말을 지키면 ^ㅐ죽음을 永遠(영원)히 맛보지 아니하리라 하니
    
53. 너는 이미 죽은 ^ㄱ우리 祖上(조상) 아브라함보다 크냐 또 先知者(선지자)들도 죽었거늘 너는 너를 누구라 하느냐
    
54. 예수께서 對答(대답)하시되 ^ㄴ내가 내게 榮光(영광)을 돌리면 내 榮光(영광)이 아무 것도 아니어니와 ^ㄷ내게 榮光(영광)을 돌리시는 이는 내 아버지시니 곧 ^ㄹ너희가 너희 하나님이라 稱(칭)하는 그이시라
    
55. ^ㅁ너희는 그를 알지 못하되 ^ㅂ나는 아노니 萬一(만일) 내가 알지 못한다 하면 나도 ^ㅅ너희같이 ^ㅇ거짓말장이가 되리라 나는 그를 알고 또 그의 말씀을 지키노라
    

51. Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: So jemand mein Wort wird "halten," der wird den Tod nicht sehen ewiglich.

53. Bist du denn mehr als unser Vater "Abraham," welcher gestorben ist? Und die Propheten sind gestorben. Was machst du aus dir selbst?
    
54. Jesus antwortete: So ich mich selber "ehre," so ist meine Ehre nichts. Es ist aber mein "Vater," der mich "ehrt," von welchem ihr "sprecht," er sei euer Gott;
    
55. und kennet ihn "nicht," ich aber kenne ihn. Und so ich würde sagen: Ich kenne ihn "nicht," so würde ich ein "Lügner," gleichwie ihr seid. Aber ich kenne ihn und halte sein Wort.
    

51. I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."
    
52. At this the Jews exclaimed, "Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that if anyone keeps your word, he will never taste death.
    
53. Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?"
    
54. Jesus replied, "If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
    
55. Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word.

58. 예수께서 가라사대 眞實(진실)로 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 前(전)부터 ^ㅍ내가 있느니라 하시니
    
59. ^ㅎ저희가 돌을 들어 치려 하거늘 ^ㅏ예수께서 숨어 ^ㅑ聖殿(성전)에서 나가시니라
    

56. Abraham, euer "Vater," ward "froh," daß er meinen Tag sehen sollte; und er sah ihn und freute sich.
    
57. Da sprachen die Juden zu ihm: Du bist noch nicht fünfzig Jahre alt und hast Abraham gesehen?
    
58. Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Wahrlich," wahrlich ich sage euch: Ehe denn Abraham "ward," bin ich.
    
59. Da hoben sie Steine "auf," daß sie auf ihn würfen. Aber Jesus verbarg sich und ging zum Tempel hinaus. {}

57. "You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"
    
58. "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"
    
59. At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
