1. ^ㄴ그 後(후)에 암몬 子孫(자손)의 王(왕)이 죽고 그 아들 하눈이 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니
   
2. 다윗이 가로되 내가 ^ㄷ나하스의 아들 하눈에게 恩寵(은총)을 베풀되 그 아비가 내게 恩寵(은총)을 베푼 것같이 하리라 하고 그 信服(신복)들을 命(명)하여 그 아비 죽은 것을 조상하라 하니라 다윗의 信服(신복)들이 암몬 子孫(자손)의 땅에 이르매
   
3. 암몬 子孫(자손)의 方伯(방백)들이 그 主(주) 하눈에게 告(고)하되 王(왕)은 다윗이 조상을 보낸 것이 王(왕)의 父親(부친)을 恭敬(공경)함인 줄로 여기시나이까 다윗이 그 信服(신복)을 보내어 이 城(성)을 엿보고 探知(탐지)하여 陷落(함락)시키고자 함이 아니니이까
   
4. 이에 하눈이 다윗의 信服(신복)들을 잡아 그 鬚髥(수염) 折半(절반)을 깎고 그 衣服(의복)의 중동 ^ㄹ볼기까지 자르고 돌려보내매
   
5. 或(혹)이 이 일을 다윗에게 告(고)하니라 그 사람들이 크게 부끄러워하므로 王(왕)이 저희를 맞으러 보내어 이르기를 너희는 鬚髥(수염)이 자라기까지 여리고에서 머물다가 돌아오라 하니라
   

1. Après cela, le roi des fils d'Ammon mourut, et Hanun, son fils, régna à sa place.
   
2. David dit: Je montrerai de la bienveillance à Hanun, fils de Nachasch, comme son père en a montré à mon égard. Et David envoya ses serviteurs pour le consoler au sujet de son père. Lorsque les serviteurs de David arrivèrent dans le pays des fils d'Ammon,
   
3. les chefs des fils d'Ammon dirent à Hanun, leur maître: Penses-tu que ce soit pour honorer ton père que David t'envoie des consolateurs? N'est-ce pas pour reconnaître et explorer la ville, et pour la détruire, qu'il envoie ses serviteurs auprès de toi?
   
4. Alors Hanun saisit les serviteurs de David, leur fit raser la moitié de la barbe, et fit couper leurs habits par le milieu jusqu'au haut des cuisses. Puis il les congédia.
   
5. David, qui fut informé, envoya des gens à leur rencontre, car ces hommes étaient dans une grande confusion; et le roi leur fit dire: Restez à Jéricho jusqu'à ce que votre barbe ait repoussé, et revenez ensuite.
   

1. In the course of time, the king of the Ammonites died, and his son Hanun succeeded him as king.
   
2. 므̇ 므̇ 뀀˦ 䟐˙ 밨̇ 믠̇ 䀀 믠̇ ow kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, just as his father showed kindness to me." So David sent a delegation to express his sympathy to Hanun concerning his father. When David's men came to the land of the Ammonites,
   
3. the Ammonite nobles said to Hanun their lord, "Do you think David is honoring your father by sending men to you to express sympathy? Hasn't David sent them to you to explore the city and spy it out and overthrow it?"
   
4. So Hanun seized David's men, shaved off half of each man's beard, cut off their garments in the middle at the buttocks, and sent them away.
   
5. When David was told about this, he sent messengers to meet the men, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, "Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back."
   

6. 암몬 子孫(자손)이 自己(자기)가 다윗에게 미움이 된 줄 알고 사람을 보내어 ^ㅁ벧르홉 아람 사람과 ^ㅂ소바 아람 사람의 步兵(보병) 二萬(이만)과 ^ㅅ마아가 王(왕)과 그 사람 一千(일천)과 ^ㅇ돕 사람 一萬(일만) 二千(이천)을 雇傭(고용)한지라
   
7. 다윗이 듣고 요압과 ^ㅈ勇士(용사)의 온 무리를 보내매
   
8. 암몬 子孫(자손)은 나와서 城門(성문) 어귀에 陣(진)을 쳤고 소바와 르홉 아람 사람과 돕과 마아가 사람들은 따로 들에 있더라
   
9. 요압이 앞뒤에 친 敵陣(적진)을 보고 이스라엘 의 뺀 者(자) 中(중)에서 또 빼서 아람 사람을 對(대)하여 陣(진)치고
   
10. 그 남은 무리는 그 아우 아비새의 手下(수하)에 붙여 암몬 子孫(자손)을 對(대)하여 陣(진)치게 하고
    

6. Les fils d'Ammon, voyant qu'ils s'étaient rendus odieux à David, firent enrôler à leur solde vingt mille hommes de pied chez les Syriens de Beth Rehob et chez les Syriens de Tsoba, mille hommes chez le roi de Maaca, et douze mille hommes chez les gens de Tob.
   
7. A cette nouvelle, David envoya contre eux Joab et toute l'armée, les hommes vaillants.
   
8. Les fils d'Ammon sortirent, et se rangèrent en bataille à l'entrée de la porte; les Syriens de Tsoba et de Rehob, et les hommes de Tob et de Maaca, étaient à part dans la campagne.
   
9. Joab vit qu'il avait à combattre par devant et par derrière. Il choisit alors sur toute l'élite d'Israël un corps, qu'il opposa aux Syriens;
   
10. et il plaça sous le commandement de son frère Abischaï le reste du peuple, pour faire face aux fils d'Ammon.
    

6. When the Ammonites realized that they had become a stench in David's nostrils, they hired twenty thousand Aramean foot soldiers from Beth Rehob and Zobah, as well as the king of Maacah with a thousand men, and also twelve thousand men from Tob.
   
7. On hearing this, David sent Joab out with the entire army of fighting men.
   
8. The Ammonites came out and drew up in battle formation at the entrance to their city gate, while the Arameans of Zobah and Rehob and the men of Tob and Maacah were by themselves in the open country.
   
9. Joab saw that there were battle lines in front of him and behind him; so he selected some of the best troops in Israel and deployed them against the Arameans.
   
10. He put the rest of the men under the command of Abishai his brother and deployed them against the Ammonites.
    

11. 가로되 萬一(만일) 아람 사람이 나보다 强(강)하면 네가 나를 돕고 萬一(만일) 암몬 子孫(자손)이 너보다 强(강)하면 내가 가서 너를 도우리라
    
12. ^ㅊ너는 膽大(담대)하라 우리가 우리 百姓(백성)과 우리 하나님의 城邑(성읍)들을 爲(위)하여 ^ㅋ膽大(담대)히 하자 ^ㅌ여호와께서 善(선)히 여기시는 대로 行(행)하시기를 願(원)하노라 하고
    
13. 요압과 그 從者(종자)가 아람 사람을 向(향)하여 싸우려고 나아가니 저희가 그 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하고
    
14. 암몬 子孫(자손)은 아람 사람의 逃亡(도망)함을 보고 저희도 아비새 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하여 城(성)으로 들어간지라 요압이 암몬 子孫(자손)을 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
    
15. 아람 사람이 自己(자기)가 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)하였음을 보고 다 모이매
    

11. Il dit: Si les Syriens sont plus forts que moi, tu viendras à mon secours; et si les fils d'Ammon sont plus forts que toi, j'irai te secourir.
    
12. Sois ferme, et montrons du courage pour notre peuple et pour les villes de notre Dieu, et que l'Éternel fasse ce qui lui semblera bon!
    
13. Joab, avec son peuple, s'avança pour attaquer les Syriens, et ils s'enfuirent devant lui.
    
14. Et quand les fils d'Ammon virent que les Syriens avaient pris la fuite, ils s'enfuirent aussi devant Abischaï et rentrèrent dans la ville. Joab s'éloigna des fils d'Ammon et revint à Jérusalem.
    
15. Les Syriens, voyant qu'ils avaient été battus par Israël, réunirent leurs forces.
    

11. Joab said, "If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to come to my rescue; but if the Ammonites are too s므̇ 므̇ 뀀˦ 䟐˙ 밨̇ 믠̇ 䀀 믠̇ font>
12. Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The LORD will do what is good in his sight."
    
13. Then Joab and the troops with him advanced to fight the Arameans, and they fled before him.
    
14. When the Ammonites saw that the Arameans were fleeing, they fled before Abishai and went inside the city. So Joab returned from fighting the Ammonites and came to Jerusalem.
    
15. After the Arameans saw that they had been routed by Israel, they regrouped.
    

16. 하닷에셀이 사람을 보내어 ^ㅍ江(강) 건너便(편)에 있는 아람 사람을 불러 내매 저희가 헬람에 이르니 하닷에셀의 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관) ^ㅎ소박이 저희를 거느린지라
    
17. 或(혹)이 다윗에게 告(고)하매 저가 온 이스라엘을 모으고 요단을 건너 헬람에 이르매 아람 사람들이 다윗을 向(향)하여 陣(진)을 치고 더불어 싸우더니
    
18. 아람 사람이 이스라엘 앞에서 逃亡(도망)한지라 다윗이 아람 ^ㅏ兵車(병거) 七百乘(칠백승)의 사람과 馬兵(마병) 四萬(사만)을 죽이고 또 그 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관) 소박을 치매 거기서 죽으니라
    
19. 하닷에셀에게 屬(속)한 王(왕)들이 自己(자기)가 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)함을 보고 이스라엘과 和親(화친)하고 ^ㅑ섬기니 이러므로 아람 사람들이 두려워하여 다시는 암몬 子孫(자손)을 돕지 아니하니라
    

16. Hadadézer envoya chercher les Syriens qui étaient de l'autre côté du fleuve; et ils arrivèrent à Hélam, ayant à leur tête Schobac, chef de l'armée d'Hadadézer.
    
17. On l'annonça à David, qui assembla tout Israël, passa le Jourdain, et vint à Hélam. Les Syriens se préparèrent à la rencontre de David, et lui livrèrent bataille.
    
18. Mais les Syriens s'enfuirent devant Israël. Et David leur tua les troupes de sept cents chars et quarante mille cavaliers; il frappa aussi le chef de leur armée, Schobac, qui mourut sur place.
    
19. Tous les rois soumis à Hadadézer, se voyant battus par Israël, firent la paix avec Israël et lui furent assujettis. Et les Syriens n'osèrent plus secourir les fils d'Ammon.
    

16. Hadadezer had Arameans brought from beyond the River; they went to Helam, with Shobach the commander of Hadadezer's army leading them.
    
17. When David was told of this, he gathered all Israel, crossed the Jordan and went to Helam. The Arameans formed their battle lines to meet David and fought against him.
    
18. But they fled before Israel, and David killed seven hundred of their charioteers and forty thousand of their foot soldiers. He also struck down Shobach the commander of their army, and he died there.
    
19. When all the kings who were vassals of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with the Israelites and became subject to them. So the Arameans were afraid to help the Ammonites anymore.
