Alors le plus vaillant, eût-il un coeur de lion, sera saisi d'épouvante; car tout Israël sait que ton père est un héros et qu'il a des braves avec lui.

When Hushai came to him, Absalom said, "Ahithophel has given this advice. Should we do what he says? If not, give us your opinion."

Hushai replied to Absalom, "The advice Ahithophel has given is not good this time.

You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops.

Even now, he is hidden in a cave or some other place. If he should attack your troops first, whoever hears about it will say, 'There has been a slaughter among the troops who follow Absalom.'

Then even the bravest soldier, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a fighter and that those with him are brave.

나의 謀略(모략)은 이러하니이다 온 이스라엘을 ^ㅗ단부터 브엘세바까지 ^ㅛ바닷가의 많은 모래같이 王(왕)께로 모으고 親(친)히 戰場(전장)에 나가시고

우리가 그 만날만한 곳에서 저를 掩襲(엄습)하기를 이슬이 땅에 내림 같이 저의 위에 덮여 저와 그 함께 있는 모든 사람을 하나도 남겨두지 아니할 것이요

또 萬一(만일) 저가 어느 城(성)에 들었으면 온 이스라엘이 줄을 가져다가 그 城(성)을 江(강)으로 끌어들여서 그곳에 한 작은 돌도 보이지 않게 할 것이니이다 하매

압살롬과 온 이스라엘 사람들이 이르되 아렉 사람 후새의 謀略(모략)은 아히도벨의 謀略(모략)보다 낫다 하니 ^ㅜ이는 여호와께서 압살롬에게 禍(화)를 내리려 하사 아히도벨의 좋은 謀略(모략)을 破(파)하기로 作定(작정)하셨음이더라

^ㅠ이에 후새가 사독과 아비아달 두 祭司長(제사장)에게 이르되 아히도벨이 압살롬과 이스라엘 長老(장로)들에게 如此(여차) 如此(여차)히 謀略(모략)을 베풀었고 나도 如此(여차) 如此(여차)히 謀略(모략)을 베풀었으니

Je conseille donc que tout Israël se rassemble auprès de toi, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba, multitude pareille au sable qui est sur le bord de la mer. Tu marcheras en personne au combat.

Nous arriverons à lui en quelque lieu que nous le trouvions, et nous tomberons sur lui comme la rosée tombe sur le sol; et pas un n'échappera, ni lui ni aucun des hommes qui sont avec lui.

S'il se retire dans une ville, tout Israël portera des cordes vers cette ville, et nous la traînerons au torrent, jusqu'à ce qu'on n'en trouve plus une pierre.

Absalom et tous les gens d'Israël dirent: Le conseil de Huschaï, l'Arkien, vaut mieux que le conseil d'Achitophel. Or l'Éternel avait résolu d'anéantir le bon conseil d'Achitophel, afin d'amener le malheur sur Absalom.

Huschaï dit aux sacrificateurs Tsadok et Abiathar: Achitophel a donné tel et tel conseil à Absalom et aux anciens d'Israël; et moi, j'ai conseillé telle et telle chose.

"So I advise you: Let all Israel, from Dan to Beersheba--as numerous as the sand on the seashore--be gathered to you, with you yourself leading them into battle.

Then we will attack him wherever he may be found, and we will fall on him as dew settles on the ground. Neither he nor any of his men will be left alive.

If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will drag it down to the valley until not even a piece of it can be found."

Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel." For the LORD had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom.

Hushai told Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, "Ahithophel has advised Absalom and the elders of Israel to do such and such, but I have advised them to do so and so.

이제 너희는 빨리 사람을 보내어 다윗에게 告(고)하기를 오늘 밤에 ^으曠野(광야) 나룻터에서 자지 마시고 아무쪼록 건너가소서 하라 或時(혹시) 王(왕)과 그 좇는 者(자)들이 ^이沒死(몰사)할까 하노라 하니라

그 때에 ^ㅐ요나단과 아히마아스가 사람이 볼까 두려워하여 敢(감)히 城(성)에 들어가지 못하고 ^ㄱ에느로겔 가에 머물고 어떤 계집종은 저희에게 나와서 告(고)하고 저희는 가서 다윗에게 告(고)하더니

한 少年(소년)이 저희를 보고 압살롬에게 告(고)한지라 그 두 사람이 빨리 달려서 ^ㄴ바후림 어떤 사람의 집으로 들어가서 그 뜰에 있는 우물속으로 내려가니

^ㄷ그 집 女人(녀인)이 덮을 것을 가져다가 우물 아구를 덮고 찧은 穀食(곡식)을 그 위에 널매 도무지 알지 못할러라

압살롬의 종들이 그 집에 와서 女人(녀인)에게 묻되 아히마하스와 요나단이 어디 있느냐 女人(녀인)이 가로되 그들이 시내를 건너가더라 하니 저희가 찾아도 만나지 못하고 예루살렘으로 돌아가니라

Maintenant, envoyez tout de suite informer David et faites-lui dire: Ne passe point la nuit dans les plaines du désert, mais va plus loin, de peur que le roi et tout le peuple qui est avec lui ne soient exposés à périr.

Jonathan et Achimaats se tenaient à En Roguel. Une servante vint leur dire d'aller informer le roi David; car ils n'osaient pas se montrer et entrer dans la ville.

Un jeune homme les aperçut, et le rapporta à Absalom. Mais ils partirent tous deux en hâte, et ils arrivèrent à Bachurim à la maison d'un homme qui avait un puits dans sa cour, et ils y descendirent.

La femme prit une couverture qu'elle étendit sur l'ouverture du puits, et elle y répandit du grain pilé pour qu'on ne se doutât de rien.

Les serviteurs d'Absalom entrèrent dans la maison auprès de cette femme, et dirent: Où sont Achimaats et Jonathan? La femme leur répondit: Ils ont passé le ruisseau. Ils cherchèrent, et ne les trouvant pas, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem.

Now send a message immediately and tell David, 'Do not spend the night at the fords in the desert; cross over without fail, or the king and all the people with him will be swallowed up.'"

Jonathan and Ahimaaz were staying at En Rogel. A servant girl was to go and inform them, and they were to go and tell King David, for they could not risk being seen entering the city.

But a young man saw them and told Absalom. So the two of them left quickly and went to the house of a man in Bahurim. He had a well in his courtyard, and they climbed down into it.

His wife took a covering and spread it out over the opening of the well and scattered grain over it. No one knew anything about it.

When Absalom's men came to the woman at the house, they asked, "Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan?" The woman answered them, "They crossed over the brook." The men searched but found no one, so they returned to Jerusalem.

저희가 간 後(후)에 두 사람이 우물에서 올라와서 다윗 王(왕)에게 이르러 告(고)하여 가로되 ^ㄹ當身(당신)들은 일어나 빨리 물을 건너가소서 아히도벨이 當身(당신)들을 害(해)하려고 如此(여차) 如此(여차)히 謀略(모략)을 베풀었나이다

다윗이 일어나 모든 百姓(백성)과 함께 요단을 건널새 새벽에 미쳐서 한 사람도 요단을 건너지 못한 者(자)가 없었더라

아히도벨이 自己(자기) 謀略(모략)이 施行(시행)되지 못함을 보고 나귀에 鞍裝(안장)을 지우고 떠나 ^ㅁ故鄕(고향)으로 돌아가서 自己(자기) 집에 이르러 ^ㅂ집을 整理(정리)하고 ^ㅅ스스로 목매어 죽으매 그 아비 墓(묘)에 葬事(장사)되니라

이에 다윗은 ^ㅇ마하나임에 이르고 압살롬은 모든 이스라엘 사람과 함께 요단을 건너니라

압살롬이 ^ㅈ아마사로 요압을 代身(대신)하여 軍長(군장)을 삼으니라 아마사는 이스라엘 사람 이드라라 하는 者(자)의 아들이라 이드라가 ^ㅊ나하스의 딸 아비갈과 同寢(동침)하여 저를 낳았으며 아비갈은 요압의 어미 스루야의 同生(동생)이더라

Après leur départ, Achimaats et Jonathan remontèrent du puits et allèrent informer le roi David. Ils dirent à David: Levez-vous et hâtez-vous de passer l'eau, car Achitophel a conseillé contre vous telle chose.

David et tout le peuple qui était avec lui se levèrent et ils passèrent le Jourdain; à la lumière du matin, il n'y en avait pas un qui fût resté à l'écart, pas un qui n'eût passé le Jourdain.

Achitophel, voyant que son conseil n'était pas suivi, sella son âne et partit pour s'en aller chez lui dans sa ville. Il donna ses ordres à sa maison, et il s'étrangla. C'est ainsi qu'il mourut, et on l'enterra dans le sépulcre de son père.

David arriva à Mahanaïm. Et Absalom passa le Jourdain, lui et tous les hommes d'Israël avec lui.

Absalom mit Amasa à la tête de l'armée, en remplacement de Joab; Amasa était fils d'un homme appelé Jithra, l'Israélite, qui était allé vers Abigal, fille de Nachasch et soeur de Tseruja, mère de Joab.

After the men had gone, the two climbed out of the well and went to inform King David. They said to him, "Set out and cross the river at once; Ahithophel has advised such and such against you."

So David and all the people with him set out and crossed the Jordan. By daybreak, no one was left who had not crossed the Jordan.

When Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out for his house in his hometown. He put his house in order and then hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father's tomb.

David went to Mahanaim, and Absalom crossed the Jordan with all the men of Israel.

Absalom had appointed Amasa over the army in place of Joab. Amasa was the son of a man named Jether, an Israelite who had married Abigail, the daughter of Nahash and sister of Zeruiah the mother of Joab.

이에 이스라엘 무리와 압살롬이 길르앗 땅에 陣(진) 치니라

다윗이 마하나임에 이르렀을때에 암몬 族屬(족속)에게 屬(속)한 ^ㅋ랍바 사람 나하스의 아들 ^ㅌ소비와, 로데발 사람 암미엘의 아들 ^ㅍ마길과, 로글림 길르앗 사람 ^ㅎ바르실래가

寢床(침상)과, 대야와, 질그릇과, 밀과, 보리와, 밀가루와, 볶은 穀食(곡식)과, 콩과, 팥과, 볶은 綠豆(록두)와,

꿀과, 뻐더와, 羊(양)과, 치스를 가져다가 다윗과 그 함께 한 百姓(백성)으로 먹게 하였으니 이는 저희 생각에 百姓(백성)이 ^ㅏ들에서 嘶腸(시장)하고 ^ㅑ困(곤)하고 목마르겠다 함이더라

Israël et Absalom campèrent dans le pays de Galaad.

Lorsque David fut arrivé à Mahanaïm, Schobi, fils de Nachasch, de Rabba des fils d'Ammon, Makir, fils d'Ammiel, de Lodebar, et Barzillaï, le Galaadite, de Roguelim,

apportèrent des lits, des bassins, des vases de terre, du froment, de l'orge, de la farine, du grain rôti, des fèves, des lentilles, des pois rôtis,

du miel, de la crème, des brebis, et des fromages de vache. Ils apportèrent ces choses à David et au peuple qui était avec lui, afin qu'ils mangeassent; car ils disaient: Ce peuple a dû souffrir de la faim, de la fatigue et de la soif, dans le désert.

The Israelites and Absalom camped in the land of Gilead.

When David came to Mahanaim, Shobi son of Nahash from Rabbah of the Ammonites, and Makir son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim

brought bedding and bowls and articles of pottery. They also brought wheat and barley, flour and roasted grain, beans and lentils,

honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from cows' milk for David and his people to eat. For they said, "The people have become hungry and tired and thirsty in the desert."
