1. ^ㅈ사단이 일어나 ^ㅊ이스라엘을 對敵(대적)하고 다윗을 激動(격동)하여 이스라엘을 計數(계수)하게 하니라
   
2. 다윗이 요압과 百姓(백성)의 頭目(두목)에게 이르되 너희는 가서 브엘세바에서부터 단까지 이스라엘을 計數(계수)하고 돌아와서 내게 告(고)하여 그 數爻(수효)를 알게 하라
   
3. 요압이 가로되 여호와께서 그 百姓(백성)을 只今(지금)보다 百倍(백배)나 더하시기를 願(원)하나이다 내 主(주) 王(왕)이여 이 百姓(백성)이 다 내 主(주)의 종이 아니니이까 내 主(주)께서 어찌하여 이 일을 命(명)하시나이까 어찌하여 이스라엘로 罪(죄)가 있게 하시나이까 하나
   
4. 王(왕)의 命令(명령)이 요압을 재촉한지라 드디어 떠나서 이스라엘 땅에 두루 다닌 後(후)에 예루살렘으로 돌아와서
   
5. 百姓(백성)의 數爻(수효)를 다윗에게 告(고)하니 이스라엘 中(중)에 ^ㅋ칼을 뺄만한 者(자)가 一百(일백) 十萬(십만)이요 유다 中(중)에 칼을 뺄 만한 者(자)가 四十七萬(사십칠만)이라
   

1. Satan se leva contre Israël, et il excita David à faire le dénombrement d'Israël.
   
2. Et David dit à Joab et aux chefs du peuple: Allez, faites le dénombrement d'Israël, depuis Beer Schéba jusqu'à Dan, et rapportez-le-moi, afin que je sache à combien il s'élève.
   
3. Joab répondit: Que l'Éternel rende son peuple cent fois plus nombreux! O roi mon seigneur, ne sont-ils pas tous serviteurs de mon seigneur? Mais pourquoi mon seigneur demande-t-il cela? Pourquoi faire ainsi pécher Israël?
   
4. Le roi persista dans l'ordre qu'il donnait à Joab. Et Joab partit, et parcourut tout Israël; puis il revint à Jérusalem.
   
5. Joab remit à David le rôle du dénombrement du peuple: il y avait dans tout Israël onze cent mille hommes tirant l'épée, et en Juda quatre cent soixante-dix mille hommes tirant l'épée.
   

1. Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.
   
2. So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, "Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are."
   
3. But Joab replied, "May the LORD multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord's subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?"
   
4. The king's word, however, overruled Joab; so Joab left and went throughout Israel and then came back to Jerusalem.
   
5. Joab reported the number of the fighting men to David: In all Israel there were one million one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword, including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah.
   

6. ^ㅌ요압이 王(왕)의 命令(명령)을 밉게 여겨 레위와 베냐민 사람은 計數(계수)하지 아니하였더라
   
7. 하나님이 이 일을 괘씸히 여기사 이스라엘을 치시매
   
8. 다윗이 하나님께 아뢰되 내가 이 일을 行(행)함으로 큰 罪(죄)를 犯(범)하였나이다 이제 懇求(간구)하옵나니 ^ㅍ종의 罪(죄)를 赦(사)하여 주옵소서 내가 甚(심)히 미련하게 行(행)하였나이다 하니라
   
9. 여호와께서 ^ㅎ다윗의 先見者(선견자) 갓에게 이르시되
   
10. 가서 다윗에게 말하여 이르기를 여호와의 말씀이 내가 네게 세 가지를 보이노니 그 中(중)에서 하나를 擇(택)하라 내가 그것을 네게 行(행)하리라 하셨다 하라
    

6. Il ne fit point parmi eux le dénombrement de Lévi et de Benjamin, car l'ordre du roi lui paraissait une abomination.
   
7. Cet ordre déplut à Dieu, qui frappa Israël.
   
8. Et David dit à Dieu: J'ai commis un grand péché en faisant cela! Maintenant, daigne pardonner l'iniquité de ton serviteur, car j'ai complètement agi en insensé!
   
9. L'Éternel adressa ainsi la parole à Gad, le voyant de David:
   
10. Va dire à David: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Je te propose trois fléaux; choisis-en un, et je t'en frapperai.
    

6. But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king's command was repulsive to him.
   
7. This command was also evil in the sight of God; so he punished Israel.
   
8. Then David said to God, "I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing."
   
9. The LORD said to Gad, David's seer,
   
10. "Go and tell David, 'This is what the LORD says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.'"
    

11. 갓이 다윗에게 나아가 告(고)하되 여호와의 말씀이 너는 마음대로 擇(택)하라
    
12. 或(혹) ^ㅏ三年(삼년) 饑饉(기근)일지 或(혹), 네가 석달을 對敵(대적)에게 敗(패)하여 對敵(대적)의 칼에 쫓길 일일지, 或(혹) 여호와의 칼 곧 瘟疫(온역)이 사흘동안 이 땅에 流行(류행)하며 여호와의 使者(사자)가 이스라엘 온 地境(지경)을 滅(멸)할 일일지 하셨나니 내가 무슨 말로 나를 보내신 이에게 對答(대답)할 것을 決定(결정)하소서
    
13. 다윗이 갓에게 이르되 내가 困境(곤경)에 있도다 여호와께서는 矜恤(긍휼)이 甚(심)히 크시니 내가 그의 손에 빠지고 사람의 손에 빠지지 않기를 願(원)하나이다
    
14. 이에 여호와께서 이스라엘 百姓(백성)에게 瘟疫(온역)을 내리시매 이스라엘 百姓(백성)의 죽은 者(자)가 七萬(칠만)이었더라
    
15. 하나님이 예루살렘을 滅(멸)하러 使者(사자)를 보내셨더니 使者(사자)가 滅(멸)하려 할 때에 여호와께서 보시고 이 災殃(재앙) 내림을 ^ㅑ뉘우치사 滅(멸)하는 使者(사자)에게 이르시되 足(족)하다 이제는 네 손을 거두라 하시니 때에 여호와의 使者(사자)가 여부스 사람 오르난의 打作(타작) 마당 곁에 선지라
    

11. Gad alla vers David, et lui dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel:
    
12. Accepte, ou trois années de famine, ou trois mois pendant lesquels tu seras détruit par tes adversaires et atteint par l'épée de tes ennemis, ou trois jours pendant lesquels l'épée de l'Éternel et la peste seront dans le pays et l'ange de l'Éternel portera la destruction dans tout le territoire d'Israël. Vois maintenant ce que je dois répondre à celui qui m'envoie.
    
13. David répondit à Gad: Je suis dans une grande angoisse! Oh! que je tombe entre les mains de l'Éternel, car ses compassions sont immenses; mais que je ne tombe pas entre les mains des hommes!
    
14. L'Éternel envoya la peste en Israël, et il tomba soixante-dix mille hommes d'Israël.
    
15. Dieu envoya un ange à Jérusalem pour la détruire; et comme il la détruisait, l'Éternel regarda et se repentit de ce mal, et il dit à l'ange qui détruisait: Assez! Retire maintenant ta main. L'ange de l'Éternel se tenait près de l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien.
    

11. So Gad went to David and said to him, "This is what the LORD says: 'Take your choice:
    
12. three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the LORD--days of plague in the land, with the angel of the LORD ravaging every part of Israel.' Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me."
    
13. David said to Gad, "I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into the hands of men."
    
14. So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.
    
15. And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was destroying the people, "Enough! Withdraw your hand." The angel of the LORD was then standing at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
    

16. 다윗이 눈을 들어보매 여호와의 使者(사자)가 天地(천지) 사이에 섰고 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 예루살렘 便(편)을 가리켰는지라 다윗이 長老(장로)들로 더불어 ^ㅓ굵은 베를 입고 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려
    
17. 하나님께 아뢰되 命(명)하여 百姓(백성)을 計數(계수)하게 한 者(자)가 내가 아니니이까 犯罪(범죄)하고 惡(악)을 行(행)한 者(자)는 곧 내니이다 이 羊(양)무리는 무엇을 行(행)하였나이까 請(청)컨대 나의 하나님 여호와여 主(주)의 손으로 나와 내 아비의 집을 치시고 主(주)의 百姓(백성)에게 災殃(재앙)을 내리지 마옵소서
    
18. ^ㅕ여호와의 使者(사자)가 갓을 命(명)하여 다윗에게 이르시기를 올라가서 여부스 사람 오르난의 打作(타작) 마당에서 여호와를 爲(위)하여 壇(단)을 쌓으라 하신지라
    
19. 다윗이 이에 갓이 여호와의 이름으로 이른 말씀대로 올라가니라
    
20. 때에 오르난이 밀을 打作(타작)하다가 돌이켜 天使(천사)를 보고 네 아들과 함께 숨었더니
    

16. David leva les yeux, et vit l'ange de l'Éternel se tenant entre la terre et le ciel et ayant à la main son épée nue tournée contre Jérusalem. Alors David et les anciens, couverts de sacs, tombèrent sur leur visage.
    
17. Et David dit à Dieu: N'est-ce pas moi qui ai ordonné le dénombrement du peuple? C'est moi qui ai péché et qui ai fait le mal; mais ces brebis, qu'ont-elles fait? Éternel, mon Dieu, que ta main soit donc sur moi et sur la maison de mon père, et qu'elle ne fasse point une plaie parmi ton peuple!
    
18. L'ange de l'Éternel dit à Gad de parler à David, afin qu'il montât pour élever un autel à l'Éternel dans l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien.
    
19. David monta, selon la parole que Gad avait prononcée au nom de l'Éternel.
    
20. Ornan se retourna et vit l'ange, et ses quatre fils se cachèrent avec lui: il foulait alors du froment.
    

16. David looked up and saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell facedown.
    
17. David said to God, "Was it not I who ordered the fighting men to be counted? I am the one who has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? O LORD my God, let your hand fall upon me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on your people."
    
18. Then the angel of the LORD ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
    
19. So David went up in obedience to the word that Gad had spoken in the name of the LORD.
    
20. While Araunah was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the angel; his four sons who were with him hid themselves.
    

21. 다윗이 오르난에게 나아가매 오르난이 내어다보다가 다윗을 보고 打作(타작) 마당에서 나와서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하매
    
22. 다윗이 오르난에게 이르되 이 打作(타작)하는 곳을 내게 붙이라 너는 相當(상당)한 값으로 붙이라 내가 여호와를 爲(위)하여 여기 한 壇(단)을 쌓으리니 그리하면 瘟疫(온역)이 百姓(백성) 中(중)에서 그치리라
    
23. 오르난이 다윗에게 告(고)하되 王(왕)은 取(취)하소서 내 主(주) 王(왕)의 좋게 여기시는대로 行(행)하소서 보소서 내가 이것들을 드리나이다 소들은 燔祭物(번제물)로 穀食(곡식) 떠는 機械(기계)는 和睦(화목)으로 밀은 素祭物(소제물)로 삼으시기 爲(위)하여 다 드리나이다
    
24. 다윗 王(왕)이 오르난에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 決斷(결단)코 相當(상당)한 값으로 사리라 내가 여호와께 드리려고 네 物件(물건)을 取(취)하지 아니하겠고 값 없이는 燔祭(번제)를 드리지도 아니하리라 하고
    
25. 그 基址(기지) 값으로 ^ㅗ金(금) 六百(육백) 세겔을 달아 오르난에게 주고
    

21. Lorsque David arriva auprès d'Ornan, Ornan regarda, et il aperçut David; puis il sortit de l'aire, et se prosterna devant David, le visage contre terre.
    
22. David dit à Ornan: Cède-moi l'emplacement de l'aire pour que j'y bâtisse un autel à l'Éternel; cède-le-moi contre sa valeur en argent, afin que la plaie se retire de dessus le peuple.
    
23. Ornan répondit à David: Prends-le, et que mon seigneur le roi fasse ce qui lui semblera bon; vois, je donne les boeufs pour l'holocauste, les chars pour le bois, et le froment pour l'offrande, je donne tout cela.
    
24. Mais le roi David dit à Ornan: Non! je veux l'acheter contre sa valeur en argent, car je ne présenterai point à l'Éternel ce qui est à toi, et je n'offrirai point un holocauste qui ne me coûte rien.
    
25. Et David donna à Ornan six cents sicles d'or pour l'emplacement.
    

21. Then David approached, and when Araunah looked and saw him, he left the threshing floor and bowed down before David with his face to the ground.
    
22. David said to him, "Let me have the site of your threshing floor so I can build an altar to the LORD, that the plague on the people may be stopped. Sell it to me at the full price."
    
23. Araunah said to David, "Take it! Let my lord the king do whatever pleases him. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the grain offering. I will give all this."
    
24. But King David replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the LORD what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing."
    
25. So David paid Araunah six hundred shekels of gold for the site.
    

26. 다윗이 거기서 여호와를 爲(위)하여 壇(단)을 쌓고 燔祭(번제)와 和睦祭(화목제)를 드려 여호와께 아뢰었더니 ^ㅛ여호와께서 하늘에서부터 燔祭壇(번제단) 위에 불을 내려 應答(응답)하시고
    
27. 使者(사자)를 命(명)하시매 저가 칼을 집에 꽂았더라
    
28. 이 때에 다윗이 여호와께서 여부스 사람 오르난의 打作(타작) 마당에서 應答(응답)하심을 보고 거기서 祭司(제사)를 드렸으니
    
29. 옛적에 모세가 曠野(광야)에서 지은 여호와의 帳幕(장막)과 燔祭壇(번제단)이 ^ㅜ그 때에 기브온 山堂(산당)에 있으나
    
30. 다윗이 여호와의 使者(사자)의 칼을 두려워하여 敢(감)히 그 앞에 가서 하나님께 묻지 못함이라
    

26. David bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel, et il offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces. Il invoqua l'Éternel, et l'Éternel lui répondit par le feu, qui descendit du ciel sur l'autel de l'holocauste.
    
27. Alors l'Éternel parla à l'ange, qui remit son épée dans le fourreau.
    
28. A cette époque-là, David, voyant que l'Éternel l'avait exaucé dans l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien, y offrait des sacrifices.
    
29. Mais le tabernacle de l'Éternel, construit par Moïse au désert, et l'autel des holocaustes, étaient alors sur le haut lieu de Gabaon.
    
30. David ne pouvait pas aller devant cet autel pour chercher Dieu, parce que l'épée de l'ange de l'Éternel lui avait causé de l'épouvante.
    

26. David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
    
27. Then the LORD spoke to the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.
    
28. At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, he offered sacrifices there.
    
29. The tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses had made in the desert, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time on the high place at Gibeon.
    
30. But David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
