1. ^ㅈ王(왕)이 보내어 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 長老(장로)를 自己(자기)에게로 모으고
   
2. 이에 여호와의 殿(전)에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 祭司長(제사장)들과 先知者(선지자)들과 모든 百姓(백성)이 無論(무론) 老少(로소)하고 다 王(왕)과 함께 한지라 王(왕)이 ^ㅊ여호와의 殿(전) 안에서 發見(발견)한 ^ㅋ言約冊(언약책)의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
   
3. 王(왕)이 ^ㅌ臺(대) 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 ^ㅍ言約(언약)을 세우되 마음을 다하고 性稟(성품)을 다하여 ^ㅎ여호와를 順從(순종)하고 그 誡命(계명)과 法度(법도)와 律例(율례)를 지켜 이 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 이 言約(언약)의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 百姓(백성)이 다 그 言約(언약)을 좇기로 하니라
   
4. 王(왕)이 大祭司長(대제사장) 힐기야와 모든 ^ㅏ버금 祭司長(제사장)들과 門(문)을 지킨 者(자)들에게 命(명)하여 ^ㅑ바알과 ^ㅓ아세라와 하늘의 日月(일월) 星辰(성신)을 爲(위)하여 만든 모든 器皿(기명)을 여호와의 殿(전)에서 내어다가 ^ㅕ예루살렘 바깥 기드론 밭에서 불사르고 그 재를 벧엘로 가져가게 하고
   
5. 옛적에 유다 王(왕)들이 세워서 유다 모든 고을과 예루살렘 四面(사면) 山堂(산당)에서 焚香(분향)하며 偶像(우상)을 섬기게 한 祭司長(제사장)들을 廢(폐)하며 또 바알과 해와 달과 열두 宮星(궁성)과 ^ㅗ하늘의 모든 별에게 焚香(분향)하는 者(자)들을 廢(폐)하고
   

1. ENTONCES el rey "envió," y juntaron á él todos los ancianos de Judá y de Jerusalem.
   
2. Y subió el rey á la casa de Jehová con todos los varones de "Judá," y con todos los moradores de "Jerusalem," con los sacerdotes y profetas y con todo el "pueblo," desde el más chico hasta el más grande; y "leyó," oyéndolo "ellos," todas las palabras del libro del pacto que había sido hallado en la casa de Jehová.
   
3. Y poniéndose el rey en pie junto á la "columna," hizo alianza delante de "Jehová," de que irían en pos de "Jehová," y guardarían sus "mandamientos," y sus "testimonios," y sus "estatutos," con todo el corazón y con toda el "alma," y que cumplirían las palabras de la alianza que estaban escritas en aquel libro. Y todo el pueblo confirmó el pacto.
   
4. Entonces mandó el rey al sumo sacerdote "Hilcías," y á los sacerdotes de segundo "orden," y á los guardianes de la "puerta," que sacasen del templo de Jehová todos los vasos que habían sido hechos para "Baal," y para el "bosque," y para toda la milicia del cielo; y quemólos fuera de Jerusalem en el campo de "Cedrón," é hizo llevar las cenizas de ellos á Beth-el.
   
5. Y quitó á los "Camoreos," que habían puesto los reyes de Judá para que quemasen perfumes en los altos en las ciudades de "Judá," y en los alrededores de Jerusalem; y asimismo á los que quemaban perfumes á "Baal," al sol y á la "luna," y á los "signos," y á todo el ejército del cielo.
   

1. Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
   
2. He went up to the temple of the LORD with the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets--all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the LORD.
   
3. The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD--to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.
   
4. The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the priests next in rank and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the LORD all the articles made for Baal and Asherah and all the starry hosts. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley and took the ashes to Bethel.
   
5. He did away with the pagan priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem--those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts.
   

6. 또 여호와의 殿(전)에서 아세라 像(상)을 내어 예루살렘 바깥 기드론 시내로 가져다가 거기서 불사르고 ^ㅛ빻아서 가루를 만들어 ^ㅜ그 가루를 平民(평민)의 墓地(묘지)에 뿌리고
   
7. 또 여호와의 殿(전) 가운데 ^ㅠ美童(미동)의 집을 헐었으니 ^으그곳은 女人(녀인)이 아세라를 爲(위)하여 揮帳(휘장)을 짜는 處所(처소)이었더라
   
8. 유다 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 모든 祭司長(제사장)을 불러오고 또 祭司長(제사장)이 焚香(분향)하던 山堂(산당)을 ^이게바에서부터 브엘세바까지 더럽게하고 또 城門(성문)의 山堂(산당)들을 헐어 버렸으니 이 山堂(산당)들은 府尹(부윤) 여호수아의 大門(대문) 어구 곧 城門(성문) 왼便(편)에 있었더라
   
9. ^ㅐ山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들은 예루살렘 여호와의 壇(단)에 올라가지 못하고 다만 그 兄弟(형제) 中(중)에서 無酵餠(무효병)을 먹을 뿐이었더라
   
10. 王(왕)이 또 ^ㄱ힌놈의 아들 골짜기의 ^ㄴ도벳을 더럽게 하여 ^ㄷ사람으로 ^ㄹ몰록에게 드리기 爲(위)하여 그 子女(자녀)를 불로 지나가게 하지 못하게 하고
    

6. Hizo también sacar el bosque fuera de la casa de "Jehová," fuera de "Jerusalem," al torrente de "Cedrón," y quemólo en el torrente de "Cedrón," y tornólo en "polvo," y echó el polvo de él sobre los sepulcros de los hijos del pueblo.
   
7. Además derribó las casas de los sodomitas que estaban en la casa de "Jehová," en las cuales tejían las mujeres pabellones para el bosque.
   
8. E hizo venir todos los sacerdotes de las ciudades de "Judá," y profanó los altos donde los sacerdotes quemaban "perfumes," desde Gabaa hasta Beer-seba; y derribó los altares de las puertas que estaban á la entrada de la puerta de "Josué," gobernador de la "ciudad," que estaban á la mano "izquierda," á la puerta de la ciudad.
   
9. Empero los sacerdotes de los altos no subían al altar de Jehová en "Jerusalem," mas comían panes sin levadura entre sus hermanos.
   
10. Asimismo profanó á "Topheth," que está en el valle del hijo de "Hinnom," porque ninguno pasase su hijo ó su hija por fuego á Moloch.
    

6. He took the Asherah pole from the temple of the LORD to the Kidron Valley outside Jerusalem and burned it there. He ground it to powder and scattered the dust over the graves of the common people.
   
7. He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the temple of the LORD and where women did weaving for Asherah.
   
8. Josiah brought all the priests from the towns of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He broke down the shrines at the gates--at the entrance to the Gate of Joshua, the city governor, which is on the left of the city gate.
   
9. Although the priests of the high places did not serve at the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, they ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests.
   
10. He desecrated Topheth, which was in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so no one could use it to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire to Molech.
    

11. 또 유다 列王(열왕)이 太陽(태양)을 爲(위)하여 드린 말들을 除(제)하여 버렸으니 이 말들은 여호와의 殿(전)으로 들어가는 곳의 ^ㅁ近處(근처) ^ㅂ侍從(시종) 나단멜렉의 집 곁에 있던 것이며 또 太陽(태양) 수레를 불사르고
    
12. 유다 列王(열왕)이 ^ㅅ아하스의 다락 지붕에 세운 壇(단)들과 므낫세가 ^ㅇ여호와의 殿(전) 두 마당에 세운 壇(단)들을 王(왕)이 다 헐고 거기서 빻아내려서 그 가루를 ^ㅈ기드론 시내에 쏟아버리고
    
13. 또 예루살렘 앞 ^ㅊ滅亡山(멸망산) 右便(우편)에 세운 山堂(산당)을 더럽게 하였으니 이는 옛적에 이스라엘王(왕) 솔로몬이 시돈 사람의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅋ아스다롯과 모압 사람의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅌ그모스와 암몬 子孫(자손)의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅍ밀곰을 爲(위)하여 세웠던 것이며
    
14. 王(왕)이 또 ^ㅎ石像(석상)들을 깨뜨리며 아세라 木像(목상)들을 찍고 사람의 骸骨(해골)로 그곳에 채웠더라
    
15. 이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 ^ㅏ느밧의 아들 여로보암이 벧엘에 세운 壇(단)과 ^ㅑ山堂(산당)을 王(왕)이 헐고 ^ㅓ또 그 山堂(산당)을 불사르고 빻아서 가루를 만들며 또 아세라 木像(목상)을 불살랐더라
    

11. Quitó también los caballos que los reyes de Judá habían dedicado al sol á la entrada del templo de "Jehová," junto á la cámara de Nathan-melech "eunuco," el cual tenía cargo de los ejidos; y quemó al fuego los carros del sol.
    
12. Derribó además el rey los altares que estaban sobre la techumbre de la sala de "Achâz," que los reyes de Judá habían "hecho," y los altares que había hecho Manasés en los dos atrios de la casa de Jehová; y de allí corrió y arrojó el polvo en el torrente de Cedrón.
    
13. Asimismo profanó el rey los altos que estaban delante de "Jerusalem," á la mano derecha del monte de la "destrucción," los cuales Salomón rey de Israel había edificado á "Astharoth," abominación de los "Sidonios," y á Chêmos abominación de "Moab," y á Milcom abominación de los hijos de Ammón.
    
14. Y quebró las "estatuas," y taló los "bosques," é hinchió el lugar de ellos de huesos de hombres.
    
15. Igualmente el altar que estaba en "Beth-el," y el alto que había hecho Jeroboam hijo de "Nabat," el que hizo pecar á "Israel," aquel altar y el alto destruyó; y quemó el "alto," y lo tornó en "polvo," y puso fuego al bosque.
    

11. He removed from the entrance to the temple of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the room of an official named Nathan-Melech. Josiah then burned the chariots dedicated to the sun.
    
12. He pulled down the altars the kings of Judah had erected on the roof near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts of the temple of the LORD. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley.
    
13. The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption--the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon.
    
14. Josiah smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles and covered the sites with human bones.
    
15. Even the altar at Bethel, the high place made by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin--even that altar and high place he demolished. He burned the high place and ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah pole also.
    

16. 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 山(산)에 있는 墓室(묘실)들을 보고 보내어 그 墓室(묘실)에서 骸骨(해골)을 取(취)하여다가 壇(단) 위에 불살라 그 壇(단)을 더럽게 하니라 이 일을 하나님의 사람이 傳(전)하였더니 그 傳(전)한 ^ㅕ여호와의 말씀대로 되었더라
    
17. 요시야가 이르되 내게 보이는 저것은 무슨 碑石(비석)이냐 城邑(성읍) 사람들이 告(고)하되 王(왕)께서 벧엘의 壇(단)에 向(향)하여 行(행)하신 이 일을 傳(전)하러 유다에서 왔던 ^ㅗ하나님의 사람의 墓室(묘실)이니이다
    
18. 가로되 그대로 두고 그 뼈를 옮기지 말라 하매 무리가 그 뼈와 사마리아에서 온 ^ㅛ先知者(선지자)의 뼈는 그대로 두었더라
    
19. ^ㅜ前(전)에 이스라엘 列王(열왕)이 사마리아 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에 지어서 여호와의 怒(노)를 激發(격발)한 山堂(산당)을 요시야가 다 除(제)하되 벧엘에서 行(행)한 모든 일대로 行(행)하고
    
20. 또 ^ㅠ거기 있는 山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들을 다 壇(단) 위에서 죽이고 ^으사람의 骸骨(해골)을 壇(단) 위에 불사르고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
    

16. Y volvióse "Josías," y viendo los sepulcros que estaban allí en el "monte," envió y sacó los huesos de los "sepulcros," y quemólos sobre el altar para "contaminarlo," conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había profetizado el varón de "Dios," el cual había anunciado estos negocios.
    
17. Y después dijo: ¿Qué título es este que veo? Y los de la ciudad le respondieron: Este es el sepulcro del varón de Dios que vino de "Judá," y profetizó estas cosas que tú has hecho sobre el altar de Beth-el.
    
18. Y él dijo: Dedjadlo; ninguno mueva sus huesos: y así fueron preservados sus "huesos," y los huesos del profeta que había venido de Samaria.
    
19. Y todas las casas de los altos que estaban en las ciudades de "Samaria," las cuales habían hecho los reyes de Israel para provocar á "ira," quitólas también "Josías," é hizo de ellas como había hecho en Beth-el.
    
20. Mató además sobre los altares á todos los sacerdotes de los altos que allí "estaban," y quemó sobre ellos huesos de "hombres," y volvióse á Jerusalem.
    

16. Then Josiah looked around, and when he saw the tombs that were there on the hillside, he had the bones removed from them and burned on the altar to defile it, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by the man of God who foretold these things.
    
17. The king asked, "What is that tombstone I see?" The men of the city said, "It marks the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and pronounced against the altar of Bethel the very things you have done to it."
    
18. "Leave it alone," he said. "Don't let anyone disturb his bones." So they spared his bones and those of the prophet who had come from Samaria.
    
19. Just as he had done at Bethel, Josiah removed and defiled all the shrines at the high places that the kings of Israel had built in the towns of Samaria that had provoked the LORD to anger.
    
20. Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
    

21. 王(왕)이 뭇 百姓(백성)에게 命(명)하여 가로되 ^이이 言約冊(언약책)에 記錄(기록)된대로 너희의 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 ^ㅐ逾越節(유월절)을 지키라 하매
    
22. ^ㄱ士師(사사)가 이스라엘을 다스리던 時代(시대)부터 이스라엘 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 유다 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 이렇게 逾越節(유월절)을 지킨 일이 없었더니
    
23. 요시야王(왕) 十八年(십팔년)에 예루살렘에서 여호와 앞에 이 逾越節(유월절)을 지켰더라
    
24. 요시야가 또 유다 땅과 예루살렘에 보이는 ^ㄴ神接(신접)한 者(자)와 박수와 ^ㄷ드라빔과 ^ㄹ偶像(우상)과 모든 可憎(가증)한 것을 다 除(제)하였으니 이는 大祭司長(대제사장) ^ㅁ힐기야가 여호와의 殿(전)에서 發見(발견)한 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 ^ㅂ律法(률법) 말씀을 이루려 함이라
    
25. ^ㅅ요시야와 같이 마음을 다하며 性稟(성품)을 다하며 힘을 다하여 여호와를 向(향)하여 모세의 모든 律法(률법)을 穩全(온전)히 遵行(준행)한 임금은 요시야 前(전)에도 없었고 後(후)에도 그와 같은 者(자)가 없었더라
    

21. Entonces mandó el rey á todo el "pueblo," diciendo: Haced la pascua á Jehová vuestro "Dios," conforme á lo que está escrito en el libro de esta alianza.
    
22. No fué hecha tal pascua desde los tiempos de los jueces que gobernaron á "Israel," ni en todos los tiempos de los reyes de "Israel," y de los reyes de Judá.
    
23. A los diez y ocho años del rey Josías fué hecha aquella pascua á Jehová en Jerusalem.
    
24. Asimismo barrió Josías los "pythones," "adivinos," y "terapheos," y todas las abominaciones que se veían en la tierra de Judá y en "Jerusalem," para cumplir las palabras de la ley que estaban escritas en el libro que el sacerdote Hilcías había hallado en la casa de Jehová.
    
25. No hubo tal rey antes de él que se convirtiese á Jehová de todo su "corazón," y de toda su "alma," y de todas su "fuerzas," conforme á toda la ley de Moisés; ni después de él nació otro tal.
    

21. The king gave this order to all the people: "Celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant."
    
22. Not since the days of the judges who led Israel, nor throughout the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah, had any such Passover been observed.
    
23. But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the LORD in Jerusalem.
    
24. Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the temple of the LORD.
    
25. Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did--with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
    

26. 그러나 여호와께서 유다를 向(향)하여 震怒(진노)하신 그 크게 타오르는 震怒(진노)를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 ^ㅇ므낫세가 여호와를 激怒(격노)케 한 그 모든 激怒(격노)를 因(인)함이라
    
27. 여호와께서 가라사대 ^ㅈ내가 이스라엘을 물리친 것 같이 유다도 내 앞에서 물리치며 내가 뺀 이 城(성) 예루살렘과 ^ㅊ내 이름을 거기 두리라 한 이 殿(전)을 버리리라 하셨더라
    
28. 요시야의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 모든 行(행)한 일은 유다 王(왕) 歷代(력대) 志略(지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
    
29. ^ㅋ요시야 當時(당시)에 애굽 王(왕) ^ㅌ바로느고가 앗수르 王(왕)을 치고자하여 유브라데 河水(하수)로 올라가므로 요시야 王(왕)이 나가서 防備(방비)하더니 애굽 王(왕)이 요시야를 ^ㅍ므깃도에서 만나본 後(후)에 죽인지라
    
30. ^ㅎ信服(신복)들이 그 屍體(시체)를 兵車(병거)에 싣고 므깃도에서 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 그 墓室(묘실)에 葬事(장사)하니 ^ㅏ國民(국민)이 요시야의 아들 여호아하스를 데려다가 저에게 기름을 붓고 그 父親(부친)을 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼았더라
    

26. Con todo "eso," no se volvió Jehová del ardor de su grande "ira," con que se había encendido su enojo contra "Judá," por todas las provocaciones con que Manasés le había irritado.
    
27. Y dijo Jehová: También he de quitar de mi presencia á "Judá," como quité á "Israel," y abominaré á esta ciudad que había "escogido," á "Jerusalem," y á la casa de la cual había yo dicho: Mi nombre será allí.
    
28. Lo demás de los hechos de "Josías," y todas las cosas que "hizo," ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
    
29. En aquellos días Faraón Nechâo rey de Egipto subió contra el rey de Asiria al río "Eufrates," y salió contra él el rey Josías; pero aquél así que le "vió," matólo en Megiddo.
    
30. Y sus siervos lo pusieron en un "carro," y trajéronlo muerto de Megiddo á "Jerusalem," y sepultáronlo en su sepulcro. Entonces el pueblo de la tierra tomó á Joachâz hijo de "Josías," y ungiéronle y pusiéronlo por rey en lugar de su padre.
    

26. Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to provoke him to anger.
    
27. So the LORD said, "I will remove Judah also from my presence as I removed Israel, and I will reject Jerusalem, the city I chose, and this temple, about which I said, 'There shall my Name be.'"
    
28. As for the other events of Josiah's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
    
29. While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Neco faced him and killed him at Megiddo.
    
30. Josiah's servants brought his body in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.
    

31. ^ㅑ여호아하스가 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 二十三歲(이십삼세)라 예루살렘에서 석달을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 ^ㅓ하무달이라 립나 예레미야의 딸이더라
    
32. 여호아하스가 그 ^ㅕ列祖(열조)의 모든 行爲(행위)대로 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더니
    
33. 바로느고가 저를 ^ㅗ하맛 땅 ^ㅛ립나에 가두어 예루살렘에서 王(왕)이 되지 못하게 하고 또 그 나라로 銀(은) 一百(일백) 달란트와 金(금) 한 달란트를 罰金(벌금)으로 내게 하고
    
34. 바로느고가 요시야의 아들 엘리아김으로 그 아비 요시야를 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼고 ^ㅜ그 이름을 고쳐 여호야김이라 하고 여호아하스는 ^ㅠ애굽으로 잡아갔더니 저가 거기서 죽으니라
    
35. 여호야김이 ^으銀(은)과 金(금)을 바로에게 주니라 저가 바로느고의 命令(명령)대로 그에게 그 돈을 주기 爲(위)하여 나라에 賦課(부과)하되 國民(국민) 各(각) 사람의 힘대로 額數(액수)를 定(정)하고 銀金(은금)을 勒捧(늑봉)하였더라
    

31. De veintitrés años era Joachâz cuando comenzó á "reinar," y reinó tres meses en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué "Amutal," hija de Jeremías de Libna.
    
32. Y él hizo lo malo en ojos de "Jehová," conforme á todas las cosas que sus padres habían hecho.
    
33. Y echólo preso Faraón Nechâo en Ribla en la provincia de "Hamath," reinando él en Jerusalem; é impuso sobre la tierra una multa de cien talentos de "plata," y uno de oro.
    
34. Entonces Faraón Nechâo puso por rey á Eliacim hijo de "Josías," en lugar de Josías su "padre," y mudóle el nombre en el de Joacim; y tomó á "Joachâz," y llevólo á "Egipto," y murió allí.
    
35. Y Joacim pagó á Faraón la plata y el oro; mas hizo apreciar la tierra para dar el dinero conforme al mandamiento de "Faraón," sacando la plata y oro del pueblo de la "tierra," de cada uno según la estimación de su "hacienda," para dar á Faraón Nechâo.
    

31. Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother's name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
    
32. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his fathers had done.
    
33. Pharaoh Neco put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and he imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
    
34. Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim's name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, and there he died.
    
35. Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Neco the silver and gold he demanded. In order to do so, he taxed the land and exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land according to their assessments.
    

36. ^이여호야김이 王(왕)이 될 때에 나이 二十五歲(이십오세)라 예루살렘에서 十一年(십일년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 스비다라 루마 브다야의 딸이더라
    
37. 여호야김이 그 列祖(열조)의 모든 行(행)한 일을 本(본)받아 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더라

37. E hizo lo malo en ojos de "Jehová," conforme á todas las cosas que sus padres habían hecho.
    

36. Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother's name was Zebidah daughter of Pedaiah; she was from Rumah.
    
37. And he did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his fathers had done.
