1. 그 後(후)에 ^ㄹ모압 子孫(자손)과 암몬 子孫(자손)이 몇 마온 사람과 함께와서 여호사밧을 치고자 한지라
   
2. 或(혹)이 와서 여호사밧에게 告(고)하여 가로되 큰 무리가 바다 저便(편) 아람에서 王(왕)을 치러 오는데 이제 ^ㅁ하사손다말 곧 ^ㅂ엔게디에 있나이다
   
3. 여호사밧이 두려워하여 ^ㅅ여호와께로 낯을 向(향)하여 懇求(간구)하고 ^ㅇ온 유다 百姓(백성)에게 禁食(금식)하라 公布(공포)하매
   
4. 유다 사람이 여호와께 도우심을 求(구)하려 하여 유다 모든 城邑(성읍)에서 모여와서 여호와께 懇求(간구)하더라
   
5. 여호사밧이 여호와의 殿(전) 새 뜰 앞에서 유다와 예루살렘의 會衆(회중) 가운데 서서
   

1. PASADAS estas "cosas," aconteció que los hijos de Moab y de "Ammón," y con ellos otros de los "Ammonitas," vinieron contra Josaphat á la guerra.
   
2. Y "acudieron," y dieron aviso á "Josaphat," diciendo: Contra ti viene una grande multitud de la otra parte de la "mar," y de la Siria; y he aquí ellos están en "Hasasón-tamar," que es Engedi.
   
3. Entonces él tuvo temor; y puso Josaphat su rostro para consultar á "Jehová," é hizo pregonar ayuno á todo Judá.
   
4. Y juntáronse los de Judá para pedir socorro á Jehová: y también de todas las ciudades de Judá vinieron á pedir á Jehová.
   
5. Púsose entonces Josaphat en pie en la reunión de Judá y de "Jerusalem," en la casa de "Jehová," delante del atrio nuevo;
   

1. After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat.
   
2. Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, "A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar" (that is, En Gedi).
   
3. Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.
   
4. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him.
   
5. Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard
   

6. 가로되 우리 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와여 主(주)는 ^ㅈ하늘에서 하나님이 아니시니이까 ^ㅊ異邦(이방) 사람의 모든 나라를 다스리지 아니하시나이까 ^ㅋ主(주)의 손에 權勢(권세)와 能力(능력)이 있사오니 能(능)히 막을 사람이 없나이다
   
7. 우리 하나님이시여 ^ㅌ前(전)에 이 땅 居民(거민)을 主(주)의 百姓(백성) 이스라엘 앞에서 쫓아내시고 그 땅으로 主(주)의 벗 ^ㅍ아브라함의 子孫(자손)에게 永永(영영)히 주지 아니하셨나이까
   
8. 저희가 이 땅에 居(거)하여 主(주)의 이름을 爲(위)하여 한 聖所(성소)를 建築(건축)하고 이르기를
   
9. ^ㅎ萬一(만일) 災殃(재앙)이나, 亂離(란리)나, 譴責(견책)이나, 瘟疫(온역)이나, 饑饉(기근)이 우리에게 臨(임)하면 ^ㅏ主(주)의 이름이 이 殿(전)에 있으니 ^ㅑ우리가 이 殿(전) 앞과 主(주)의 앞에 서서 이 患難(환난) 가운데서 主(주)께 부르짖은즉 들으시고 救援(구원)하시리라 하였나이다
   
10. 옛적에 이스라엘이 애굽 땅에서 나올 때에 ^ㅓ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압 子孫(자손)과 ^ㅕ세일山(산) 사람을 ^ㅗ侵擄(침노)하기를 主(주)께서 容納(용납)하지 아니하시므로 ^ㅛ이에 치우쳐 저희를 떠나고 滅(멸)하지 아니하였거늘
    

6. Y dijo: Jehová Dios de nuestros "padres," ¿no eres tú Dios en los "cielos," y te enseñoreas en todos los reinos de las Gentes? ¿no está en tu mano tal fuerza y "potencia," que no hay quien te resista?
   
7. Dios "nuestro," ¿no echaste tú los moradores de aquesta tierra delante de tu pueblo "Israel," y la diste á la simiente de Abraham tu amigo para siempre?
   
8. Y ellos han habitado en "ella," y te han edificado en ella santuario á tu "nombre," diciendo:
   
9. Si mal viniere sobre "nosotros," ó espada de "castigo," ó "pestilencia," ó "hambre," presentarnos hemos delante de esta "casa," y delante de "ti," (porque tu nombre está en esta "casa,)" y de nuestras tribulaciones clamaremos á "ti," y tú nos oirás y salvarás.
   
10. Ahora "pues," he aquí los hijos de Ammón y de "Moab," y los del monte de "Seir," á la tierra de los cuales ni quisiste que pasase Isra꿠˦ 꿠˦ ﲐ̅ 砰̅ 끈˦ 뀀˦ 䀀 뀀˦ se apartasen de "ellos," y no los destruyesen;
    

6. and said: "O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.
   
7. O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?
   
8. They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying,
   
9. 'If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.'
   
10. "But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them.
    

11. 이제 저희가 우리에게 갚는 것을 보옵소서 ^ㅜ저희가 와서 主(주)께서 우리에게 주신 主(주)의 基業(기업)에서 우리를 쫓아 내고자 하나이다
    
12. 우리 하나님이여 ^ㅠ저희를 懲罰(징벌)하지 아니하시나이까 우리를 치러 오는 이 큰 무리를 우리가 對敵(대적)할 能力(능력)이 없고 어떻게 할 줄도 알지 못하옵고 ^으오직 主(주)만 바라보나이다 하고
    
13. 유다 모든 사람은 그 아내와 子女(자녀)와 어린 者(자)로 더불어 여호와 앞에 섰더라
    
14. ^이여호와의 神(신)이 會衆(회중) 가운데서 레위 사람 야하시엘에게 臨(임)하셨으니 저는 아삽 子孫(자손) 맛다냐의 玄孫(현손)이요, 여이엘의 曾孫(증손)이요, 브나야의 孫子(손자)요, 스가랴의 아들이더라
    
15. 야하시엘이 가로되 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 여호사밧 王(왕)이여 들을지어다 여호와께서 너희에게 말씀하시기를 ^ㅐ이 큰 무리로 因(인)하여 두려워하거나 놀라지 말라 ^ㄱ이 戰爭(전쟁)이 너희에게 屬(속)한 것이 아니요 하나님께 屬(속)한 것이니라
    

11. He aquí ellos nos dan el "pago," viniendo á echarnos de tu "heredad," que tú nos diste á poseer.
    
12. Oh Dios nuestro! ¿no los juzgarás tú? porque en nosotros no hay fuerza contra tan grande multitud que viene contra nosotros: no sabemos lo que hemos de "hacer," mas á ti volvemos nuestros ojos.
    
13. Y todo Judá estaba en pie delante de "Jehová," con sus "niños," y sus "mujeres," y sus hijos.
    
14. Y estaba allí Jahaziel hijo de "Zachârías," hijo de "Benaías," hijo de "Jeiel," hijo de "Mathanías," Levita de los hijos de "Asaph," sobre el cual vino el espíritu de Jehová en medio de la reunión;
    
15. Y dijo: "Oid," Judá "todo," y vosotros moradores de "Jerusalem," y "tú," rey Josaphat. Jehová os dice así: No temáis ni os amedrentéis delante de esta tan grande multitud; porque no es vuestra la "guerra," sino de Dios.
    

11. See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance.
    
12. O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."
    
13. All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD.
    
14. Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.
    
15. He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.
    

16. 來日(래일) 너희는 마주 내려 가라 저희가 시스 고개로 말미암아 올라오리니 너희가 ^ㄴ골짜기 어귀 여루엘 들 앞에서 만나려니와
    
17. ^ㄷ이 戰爭(전쟁)에는 너희가 싸울 것이 없나니 行伍(항오)를 이루고 서서 너희와 함께한 여호와가 救援(구원)하는 것을 보라, 유다와 예루살렘아 너희는 두려워하며 놀라지 말고 來日(래일) 저희를 마주 나가라 ^ㄹ여호와가 너희와 함께 하리라 하셨느니라 하매
    
18. 여호사밧이 ^ㅁ몸을 굽혀 얼굴을 땅에 대니 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들도 여호와 앞에 엎드려 敬拜(경배)하고
    
19. ^ㅂ그핫 子孫(자손)과 ^ㅅ고라 子孫(자손)에게 屬(속)한 레위 사람들은 서서 甚(심)히 큰 소리로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하니라
    
20. 이에 百姓(백성)들이 일찌기 일어나서 ^ㅇ드고아 들로 나가니라 나갈 때에 여호사밧이 서서 가로되 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들아 내 말을 들을지어다 너희는 ^ㅈ너희 하나님 여호와를 信賴(신뢰)하라 그리하면 堅固(견고)히 서리라 그 先知者(선지자)를 信賴(신뢰)하라 그리하면 亨通(형통)하리라 하고
    

16. Mañana descenderéis contra ellos: he aquí que ellos subirán por la cuesta de "Sis," y los hallaréis junto al "arroyo," antes del desierto de Jeruel.
    
17. No habrá para qué vosotros peleéis en este caso: "paraos," estad "quedos," y ved la salud de Jehová con vosotros. Oh Judá y "Jerusalem," no temáis ni desmayéis; salid mañana contra "ellos," que Jehová será con vosotros.
    
18. Entonces Josaphat se inclinó rostro por "tierra," y asimismo todo Judá y los moradores de Jerusalem se postraron delante de "Jehová," y adoraron á Jehová.
    
19. Y levantáronse los Levitas de los hijos de Coath y de los hijos de "Coré," para alabar á Jehová el Dios de Israel á grande y alta voz.
    
20. Y como se levantaron por la "mañana," salieron por el desierto de Tecoa. Y mientras ellos "salían," Josaphat estando en "pie," dijo: "Oidme," Judá y moradores de Jerusalem. Creed á Jehová vuestro "Dios," y seréis seguros; creed á sus "profetas," y seréis prosperados.
    

16. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.
    
17. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'"
    
18. Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD.
    
19. Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with very loud voice.
    
20. Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."
    

21. 百姓(백성)으로 더불어 議論(의논)하고 노래하는 者(자)를 擇(택)하여 ^ㅊ거룩한 禮服(예복)을 입히고 軍隊(군대) 앞에서 行(행)하며 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하여 이르기를 ^ㅋ여호와께 感謝(감사)하세 그 慈悲(자비)하심이 永遠(영원)하도다 하게 하였더니
    
22. 그 노래와 讚頌(찬송)이 始作(시작)될 때에 ^ㅌ여호와께서 伏兵(복병)을 두어 유다를 치러 온 ^ㅍ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압과 세일山(산) 사람을 치게 하시므로 저희가 敗(패)하였으니
    
23. 곧 암몬과 모압 子孫(자손)이 일어나 세일山(산) 居民(거민)을 쳐서 殄滅(진멸)하고 세일 居民(거민)을 滅(멸)한 後(후)에는 ^ㅎ저희가 彼此(피차)에 殺戮(살륙)하였더라
    
24. 유다 사람이 들 望臺(망대)에 이르러 그 무리를 본즉 땅에 엎드러진 屍體(시체)뿐이요 하나도 避(피)한 者(자)가 없는지라
    
25. 여호사밧과 그 百姓(백성)이 가서 敵軍(적군)의 物件(물건)을 取(취)할새 본즉 그 가운데에 財物(재물)과 衣服(의복)과 寶物(보물)이 많이 있는 故(고)로 各其(각기) 取(취)하는데 그 物件(물건)이 너무 많아 能(능)히 가져갈 수 없을만큼 많으므로 사흘 동안에 取(취)하고
    

21. Y habido consejo con el "pueblo," puso á algunos que cantasen á "Jehová," y alabasen en la hermosura de la "santidad," mientras que salía la gente "armada," y dijesen: Glorificad á "Jehová," porque su misericordia es para siempre.
    
22. Y como comenzaron con clamor y con "alabanza," puso Jehová contra los hijos de "Ammón," de "Moab," y del monte de "Seir," las emboscadas de ellos mismos que venían contra "Judá," y matáronse los unos á los otros:
    
23. Pues los hijos de Ammón y Moab se levantaron contra los del monte de "Seir," para matarlos y destruirlos; y como hubieron acabado á los del monte de "Seir," cada cual ayudó á la destrucción de su compañero.
    
24. Y luego que vino Judá á la atalaya del "desierto," miraron hacia la multitud; mas he aquí yacían ellos en tierra "muertos," que ninguno había escapado.
    
25. Viniendo entonces Josaphat y su pueblo á "despojarlos," hallaron en ellos muchas riquezas entre los "cadáveres," así vestidos como preciosos "enseres," los cuales tomaron para "sí," "tantos," que no los podían llevar: tres días duró el "despojo," porque era mucho.
    

21. After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever."
    
22. As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.
    
23. The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.
    
24. When the men of Jud꿠˦ 꿠˦ ﲐ̅ 砰̅ 끈˦ 뀀˦ 䀀 뀀˦ ooked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped.
    
25. So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value--more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.
    

26. 第(제) 四日(사일)에 무리가 브라가 골짜기에 모여서 거기서 여호와를 頌祝(송축)한지라 그러므로 오늘날까지 그곳을 브라가 골짜기라 일컫더라
    
27. 유다와 예루살렘 모든 사람이 여호사밧을 先頭(선두)로 즐거이 예루살렘으로 돌아왔으니 ^ㅏ이는 여호와께서 저희로 그 敵軍(적군)을 이김을 因(인)하여 즐거워하게 하셨음이라
    
28. 무리가 琵琶(비파)와 竪琴(수금)과 나팔을 合奏(합주)하고 예루살렘에 이르러 여호와의 殿(전)에 나아가니라
    
29. ^ㅑ異邦(이방) 모든 나라가 여호와께서 이스라엘의 敵軍(적군)을 치셨다 함을 듣고 하나님을 두려워한故(고)로
    
30. 여호사밧의 나라가 泰平(태평)하였으니 ^ㅓ이는 그 하나님이 四方(사방)에서 저희에게 平康(평강)을 주셨음이더라
    

26. Y al cuarto día se juntaron en el valle de Beracah; porque allí bendijeron á "Jehová," y por esto llamaron el nombre de aquel paraje el valle de "Beracah," hasta hoy.
    
27. Y todo Judá y los de "Jerusalem," y Josaphat á la cabeza de "ellos," volvieron para tornarse á Jerusalem con "gozo," porque Jehová les había dado gozo de sus enemigos.
    
28. Y vinieron á Jerusalem con "salterios," "arpas," y "bocinas," á la casa de Jehová.
    
29. Y fué el pavor de Dios sobre todos los reinos de aquella "tierra," cuando oyeron que Jehová había peleado contra los enemigos de Israel.
    
30. Y el reino de Josaphat tuvo reposo; porque su Dios le dió reposo de todas partes.
    

26. On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah to this day.
    
27. Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies.
    
28. They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the LORD with harps and lutes and trumpets.
    
29. The fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.
    
30. And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.
    

31. ^ㅕ여호사밧이 유다 王(왕)이 되어 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 三十五歲(삼십오세)라 예루살렘에서 二十五年(이십오년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 아수바라 실히의 딸이더라
    
32. 여호사밧이 그 父親(부친) 아사의 길로 行(행)하여 돌이켜 떠나지 아니하고 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하였으나
    
33. ^ㅗ山堂(산당)은 廢(폐)하지 아니하였으므로 ^ㅛ百姓(백성)이 오히려 마음을 定(정)하여 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님께로 돌아오지 아니하였더라
    
34. 이 外(외)에 여호사밧의 始終(시종) 行蹟(행적)이 하나니의 아들 ^ㅜ예후의 글에 다 記錄(기록)되었고 ^ㅠ그 글은 이스라엘 列王記(열왕기)에 올랐더라
    
35. ^으유다 王(왕) 여호사밧이 나중에 이스라엘 王(왕) 아하시야와 交際(교제)하였는데 아하시야는 甚(심)히 惡(악)을 行(행)하는 者(자)이었더라
    

31. Así reinó Josaphat sobre Judá: de treinta y cinco años era cuando comenzó á "reinar," y reinó veinte y cinco años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué "Azuba," hija de Silhi.
    
32. Y anduvo en el camino de Asa su "padre," sin apartarse de "él," haciendo lo recto en los ojos de Jehová.
    
33. Con todo eso los altos no eran quitados; que el pueblo aun no había enderezado su corazón al Dios de sus padres.
    
34. Lo demás de los hechos de "Josaphat," primeros y "postreros," he aquí están escritos en las palabras de Jehú hijo de "Hanani," del cual es hecha mención en el libro de los reyes de Israel.
    
35. Pasadas estas "cosas," Josaphat rey de Judá trabó amistad con Ochôzías rey de "Israel," el cual fué dado á la impiedad:
    

31. So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother's name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.
    
32. He walked in the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
    
33. The high places, however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their fathers.
    
34. The other events of Jehoshaphat's reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel.
    
35. Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness.
    

36. 두 王(왕)이 서로 結合(결합)하고 배를 지어 ^이다시스로 보내고자 하여 에시온게벨에서 배를 지었더니
    
37. 마레사 사람 도다와후의 아들 엘리에셀이 여호사밧을 向(향)하여 豫言(예언)하여 가로되 ^ㅐ王(왕)이 아하시야와 交際(교제)하는 故(고)로 여호와께서 王(왕)의 지은 것을 破(파)하시리라 하더니 이에 그 배가 破傷(파상)하여 다시스로 가지 못하였더라
    

36. E hizo con él compañía para aparejar navíos que fuesen á Tharsis; y construyeron los navíos en Esion-geber.
    
37. Entonces Eliezer hijo de Dodava de "Mareosah," profetizó contra "Josaphat," diciendo: Por cuanto has hecho compañía con "Ochôzías," Jehová destruirá tus obras. Y los navíos se "rompieron," y no pudieron ir á Tharsis.
    

36. He agreed with him to construct a fleet of trading ships. After these were built at Ezion Geber,
    
37. Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, "Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made." The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.
