사사기(Juges) 20장 [개역한글 : LSG1910 : NIV]

1. 이에 ^ㅁ모든 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 ^ㅂ단에서부터 브엘세바까지와 길르앗 땅에서 나왔는데 그 會衆(회중)이 一齊(일제)히 ^ㅅ미스바에서 여호와 앞에 모였으니
   
2. 온 百姓(백성)의 어른 곧 ^ㅇ이스라엘 모든 支派(지파)의 어른들은 하나님 百姓(백성)의 總會(총회)에 섰고 ^ㅈ칼을 빼는 步兵(보병)은 四十萬(사십만)이었으며
   
3. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 미스바에 올라간 것을 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 들었더라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 가로되 이 惡(악)한 일의 情形(정형)을 우리에게 告(고)하라
   
4. 레위 사람 곧 죽임을 當(당)한 女人(녀인)의 男便(남편)이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ^ㅊ내가 내 妾(첩)으로 더불어 베냐민에 屬(속)한 기브아에 留宿(유숙)하러 갔더니
   
5. ^ㅋ기브아 사람들이 나를 치러 일어나서 밤에 나의 寓居(우거)한 집을 에워싸고 나를 죽이려 하고 내 妾(첩)을 辱(욕)보여서 그로 죽게 한지라
   

1. Tous les enfants d'Israël sortirent, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer Schéba et au pays de Galaad, et l'assemblée se réunit comme un seul homme devant l'Éternel, à Mitspa.
   
2. Les chefs de tout le peuple, toutes les tribus d'Israël, se présentèrent dans l'assemblée du peuple de Dieu: quatre cent mille hommes de pied, tirant l'épée.
   
3. Et les fils de Benjamin apprirent que les enfants d'Israël étaient montés à Mitspa. Les enfants d'Israël dirent: Parlez, comment ce crime a-t-il été commis?
   
4. Alors le Lévite, le mari de la femme qui avait été tuée, prit la parole, et dit: J'étais arrivé, avec ma concubine, à Guibea de Benjamin, pour y passer la nuit.
   
5. Les habitants de Guibea se sont soulevés contre moi, et ont entouré pendant la nuit la maison où j'étais. Ils avaient l'intention de me tuer, et ils ont fait violence à ma concubine, et elle est morte.
   

1. Then all the Israelites from Dan to Beersheba and from the land of Gilead came out as one man and assembled before the LORD in Mizpah.
   
2. The leaders of all the people of the tribes of Israel took their places in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand soldiers armed with swords.
   
3. (The Benjamites heard that the Israelites had gone up to Mizpah.) Then the Israelites said, "Tell us how this awful thing happened."
   
4. So the Levite, the husband of the murdered woman, said, "I and my concubine came to Gibeah in Benjamin to spend the night.
   
5. During the night the men of Gibeah came after me and surrounded the house, intending to kill me. They raped my concubine, and she died.
   

6. ^ㅌ내가 내 妾(첩)의 屍體(시체)를 取(취)하여 쪼개어 이스라엘 基業(기업)의 온 땅에 보내었노니 이는 그들이 이스라엘 中(중)에서 淫行(음행)과 ^ㅍ妄靈(망령)된 일을 行(행)하였음을 因(인)함이로라
   
7. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)들아, 너희가 다 여기 있은즉 너희의 ^ㅎ意見(의견)과 方策(방책)을 낼지니라
   
8. 모든 百姓(백성)이 一齊(일제)히 일어나며 가로되 우리가 하나라도 自己(자기) 帳幕(장막)으로 돌아가지 아니하며 하나라도 自己(자기) 집으로 들어가지 아니하고
   
9. 우리가 기브아 사람에게 이렇게 行(행)하리니 곧 제비뽑아서 그들을 치되
   
10. 우리가 이스라엘 모든 支派(지파) 中(중)에서 百(백)에 열, 千(천)에 百(백), 萬(만)에 千(천)을 取(취)하고 그 百姓(백성)을 爲(위)하여 糧食(량식)을 豫備(예비)하고 그들로 베냐민의 기브아에 가서 그 무리의 이스라엘 中(중)에서 妄靈(망령)된 일을 行(행)한 대로 懲戒(징계)하게 하리라 하니라
    

6. J'ai saisi ma concubine, et je l'ai coupée en morceaux, que j'ai envoyés dans tout le territoire de l'héritage d'Israël; car ils ont commis un crime et une infamie en Israël.
   
7. Vous voici tous, enfants d'Israël; consultez-vous, et prenez ici une décision!
   
8. Tout le peuple se leva comme un seul homme, en disant: Nul de nous n'ira dans sa tente, et personne ne retournera dans sa maison.
   
9. Voici maintenant ce que nous ferons à Guibea: Nous marcherons contre elle d'après le sort.
   
10. Nous prendrons dans toutes les tribus d'Israël dix hommes sur cent, cent sur mille, et mille sur dix mille; ils iront chercher des vivres pour le peuple, afin qu'à leur retour on traite Guibea de Benjamin selon toute l'infamie qu'elle a commise en Israël.
    

6. I took my concubine, cut her into pieces and sent one piece to each region of Israel's inheritance, because they committed this lewd and disgraceful act in Israel.
   
7. Now, all you Israelites, speak up and give your verdict."
   
8. All the people rose as one man, saying, "None of us will go home. No, not one of us will return to his house.
   
9. But now this is what we'll do to Gibeah: We'll go up against it as the lot directs.
   
10. We'll take ten men out of every hundred from all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred from a thousand, and a thousand from ten thousand, to get provisions for the army. Then, when the army arrives at Gibeah in Benjamin, it can give them what they deserve for all this vileness done in Israel."
    

11. 이와 같이 이스라엘 모든 사람이 하나 같이 合心(합심)하여 그 城邑(성읍)을 치려고 모였더라
    
12. ^ㅏ이스라엘 支派(지파)들이 베냐민 온 支派(지파)에 사람들을 보내어 두루 行(행)하며 이르기를 너희 中(중)에서 생긴 이 惡(악)이 어찜이뇨
    
13. 그런즉 이제 ^ㅑ기브아 사람 곧 그 匪類(비류)를 우리에게 붙여서 우리로 죽여 ^ㅓ이스라엘 中(중)에 惡(악)을 除(제)하여 버리게 하라 하나 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 그 兄弟(형제) 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 말을 듣지 아니하고
    
14. 도리어 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 기브아에 모이고 나가서 이스라엘 子孫(자손)과 싸우고자 하니
    
15. 그 때에 城邑(성읍)들에서 나온 베냐민 子孫(자손)의 數(수)는 ^ㅕ칼을 빼는 者(자)가 모두 ^ㅗ二萬(이만) 六千(육천)이요 그 外(외)에 기브아 居民(거민) 中(중) 擇(택)한 者(자)가 七百(칠백)인데
    

11. Ainsi tous les hommes d'Israël s'assemblèrent contre la ville, unis comme un seul homme.
    
12. Les tribus d'Israël envoyèrent des hommes vers toutes les familles de Benjamin, pour dire: Qu'est-ce que ce crime qui s'est commis parmi vous?
    
13. Livrez maintenant les gens pervers qui sont à Guibea, afin que nous les fassions mourir et que nous ôtions le mal du milieu d'Israël. Mais les Benjamites ne voulurent point écouter la voix de leurs frères, les enfants d'Israël.
    
14. Les Benjamites sortirent de leurs villes, et s'assemblèrent à Guibea, pour combattre les enfants d'Israël.
    
15. Le dénombrement que l'on fit en ce jour des Benjamites sortis des villes fut de vingt-six mille hommes, tirant l'épée, sans compter les habitants de Guibea formant sept cents hommes d'élite.
    

11. So all the men of Israel got together and united as one man against the city.
    
12. The tribes of Israel sent men throughout the tribe of Benjamin, saying, "What about this awful crime that was committed among you?
    
13. Now surrender those wicked men of Gibeah so that we may put them to death and purge the evil from Israel." But the Benjamites would not listen to their fellow Israelites.
    
14. From their towns they came together at Gibeah to fight against the Israelites.
    
15. At once the Benjamites mobilized twenty-six thousand swordsmen from their towns, in addition to seven hundred chosen men from those living in Gibeah.
    

16. 이 모든 百姓(백성) 中(중)에서 擇(택)한 七百名(칠백명)은 다 ^ㅛ왼손잡이라 물매로 돌을 던지면 毫厘(호리)도 틀림이 없는 者(자)더라
    
17. 베냐민 子孫(자손) 外(외)에 이스라엘 사람의 칼을 빼는 者(자)의 數(수)는 四十萬名(사십만명)이니 다 戰士(전사)라
    
18. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 일어나 ^ㅜ벧엘에 올라가서 하나님께 묻자와 가로되 우리 中(중)에 ^ㅠ누가 먼저 올라가서 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 유다가 먼저일지니라
    
19. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 아침에 일어나 기브아를 對(대)하여 陣(진)을 치니라
    
20. 이스라엘 사람들이 나가서 行伍(항오)를 벌이고 거기서 그들과 싸우고자 하매
    

16. Parmi tout ce peuple, il y avait sept cents hommes d'élite qui ne se servaient pas de la main droite; tous ceux-là pouvaient, en lançant une pierre avec la fronde, viser à un cheveu sans le manquer.
    
17. On fit aussi le dénombrement des hommes d'Israël, non compris ceux de Benjamin, et l'on en trouva quatre cent mille tirant l'épée, tous gens de guerre.
    
18. Et les enfants d'Israël se levèrent, montèrent à Béthel, et consultèrent Dieu, en disant: Qui de nous montera le premier pour combattre les fils de Benjamin? l'Éternel répondit: Juda montera le premier.
    
19. Dès le matin, les enfants d'Israël se mirent en marche, et ils campèrent près de Guibea.
    
20. Et les hommes d'Israël s'avancèrent pour combattre ceux de Benjamin, et ils se rangèrent en bataille contre eux devant Guibea.
    

16. Among all these soldiers there were seven hundred chosen men who were left-handed, each of whom could sling a stone at a hair and not miss.
    
17. Israel, apart from Benjamin, mustered four hundred thousand swordsmen, all of them fighting men.
    
18. The Israelites went up to Bethel and inquired of God. They said, "Who of us shall go first to fight against the Benjamites?" The LORD replied, "Judah shall go first."
    
19. The next morning the Israelites got up and pitched camp near Gibeah.
    
20. The men of Israel went out to fight the Benjamites and took up battle positions against them at Gibeah.
    

21. ^으베냐민 子孫(자손)이 기브아에서 나와서 當日(당일)에 이스라엘 사람 二萬(이만) 二千(이천)을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으나
    
22. 이스라엘 사람들이 스스로 勇氣(용기)를 내어 첫날 行伍(항오)를 벌였던 곳에 다시 行伍(항오)를 벌이니라
    
23. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 올라가서 ^이여호와 앞에서 저물도록 울며 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 내가 다시 나아가서 나의 兄弟(형제) 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가서 치라 하시니라
    
24. 그 이튿날에 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 베냐민 子孫(자손)을 치러 나아가매
    
25. 베냐민도 그 이튿날에 ^ㅐ기브아에서 그들을 치러 나와서 다시 이스라엘 子孫(자손) 一萬(일만) 八千(팔천)을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으니 다 ^ㄱ칼을 빼는 者(자)였더라
    

21. Les fils de Benjamin sortirent de Guibea, et ils étendirent sur le sol ce jour-là vingt-deux mille hommes d'Israël.
    
22. Le peuple, les hommes d'Israël reprirent courage, et ils se rangèrent de nouveau en bataille dans le lieu où ils s'étaient placés le premier jour.
    
23. Et les enfants d'Israël montèrent, et ils pleurèrent devant l'Éternel jusqu'au soir; ils consultèrent l'Éternel, en disant: Dois-je m'avancer encore pour combattre les fils de Benjamin, mon frère? L'Éternel répondit: Montez contre lui.
    
24. Les enfants d'Israël s'avancèrent contre les fils de Benjamin, le second jour.
    
25. Et ce même jour, les Benjamites sortirent de Guibea à leur rencontre, et ils étendirent encore sur le sol dix-huit mille hommes des enfants d'Israël, tous tirant l'épée.
    

21. The Benjamites came out of Gibeah and cut down twenty-two thousand Israelites on the battlefield that day.
    
22. But the men of Israel encouraged one another and again took up their positions where they had stationed themselves the first day.
    
23. The Israelites went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and they inquired of the LORD. They said, "Shall we go up again to battle against the Benjamites, our brothers?" The LORD answered, "Go up against them."
    
24. Then the Israelites drew near to Benjamin the second day.
    
25. This time, when the Benjamites came out from Gibeah to oppose them, they cut down another eighteen thousand Israelites, all of them armed with swords.
    

26. 이에 온 이스라엘 子孫(자손) 모든 百姓(백성)이 올라가서 ^ㄴ벧엘에 이르러 울며 거기서 여호와 앞에 앉고 그 날이 저물도록 禁食(금식)하고 燔祭(번제)와 和睦祭(화목제)를 여호와 앞에 드리고
    
27. 여호와께 물으니라 ^ㄷ그 때에는 하나님의 言約櫃(언약궤)가 거기 있고
    
28. 아론의 孫子(손자) 엘르아살의 아들 ^ㄹ비느하스가 ^ㅁ그 앞에 모셨더라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 묻자오되 내가 다시 나가 나의 兄弟(형제) 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 말리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가라 來日(래일)은 내가 그를 네 손에 붙이리라
    
29. ^ㅂ이스라엘이 기브아 四面(사면)에 軍士(군사)를 埋伏(매복)하니라
    
30. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 第(제) 三日(삼일)에 베냐민 子孫(자손)에게로 치러 올라가서 前(전)과 같이 기브아를 對(대)하여 行伍(항오)를 벌이매
    

26. Tous les enfants d'Israël et tout le peuple montèrent et vinrent à Béthel; ils pleurèrent et restèrent là devant l'Éternel, ils jeûnèrent en ce jour jusqu'au soir, et ils offrirent des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces devant l'Éternel.
    
27. Et les enfants d'Israël consultèrent l'Éternel, -c'était là que se trouvait alors l'arche de l'alliance de Dieu,
    
28. et c'était Phinées, fils d'Éléazar, fils d'Aaron, qui se tenait à cette époque en présence de Dieu, #NAME? ils dirent: Dois-je marcher encore pour combattre les fils de Benjamin, mon frère, ou dois-je m'en abstenir? L'Éternel répondit: Montez, car demain je les livrerai entre vos mains.
    
29. Alors Israël plaça une embuscade autour de Guibea.
    
30. Les enfants d'Israël montèrent contre les fils de Benjamin, le troisième jour, et ils se rangèrent en bataille devant Guibea, comme les autres fois.
    

26. Then the Israelites, all the people, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the LORD. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the LORD.
    
27. And the Israelites inquired of the LORD. (In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,
    
28. with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, ministering before it.) They asked, "Shall we go up again to battle with Benjamin our brother, or not?" The LORD responded, "Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands."
    
29. Then Israel set an ambush around Gibeah.
    
30. They went up against the Benjamites on the third day and took up positions against Gibeah as they had done before.
    

31. 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 나와서 百姓(백성)을 맞더니 꾀임에 빠져 城邑(성읍)을 떠났더라 그들이 큰 길 곧 한便(편)은 ^ㅅ벧엘로 올라가는 길이요 한便(편)은 기브아의 들로 가는 길에서 百姓(백성)을 쳐서 前(전)과 같이 ^ㅇ이스라엘 사람 三十名(삼십명) 假量(가량)을 죽이기 始作(시작)하며
    
32. 스스로 이르기를 ^ㅈ이들이 처음과 같이 우리 앞에서 敗(패)한다하나 이스라엘 子孫(자손)은 이르기를 우리가 逃亡(도망)하여 그들을 城邑(성읍)에서 큰 길로 꾀어내자 하고
    
33. 이스라엘 사람이 모두 그 處所(처소)에서 일어나서 바알다말에 行伍(항오)를 벌였고 그 伏兵(복병)은 그 處所(처소) 곧 기브아 草場(초장)에서 쏟아져 나왔더라
    
34. 온 이스라엘 사람 中(중)에서 擇(택)한 사람 一萬(일만)이 기브아에 이르러 치매 싸움이 甚(심)히 猛烈(맹렬)하나 ^ㅊ베냐민 사람은 禍(화)가 自己(자기)에게 미친 줄을 알지 못하였더라
    
35. 여호와께서 이스라엘 앞에서 베냐민을 쳐서 破(파)하게 하시매 當日(당일)에 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 베냐민 사람 二萬(이만) 五千(오천) 一百(일백)을 죽였으니 다 ^ㅋ칼을 빼는 者(자)이었더라
    

31. Et les fils de Benjamin sortirent à la rencontre du peuple, et ils se laissèrent attirer loin de la ville. Ils commencèrent à frapper à mort parmi le peuple comme les autres fois, sur les routes dont l'une monte à Béthel et l'autre à Guibea par la campagne, et ils tuèrent environ trente hommes d'Israël.
    
32. Les fils de Benjamin disaient: Les voilà battus devant nous comme auparavant! Mais les enfants d'Israël disaient: Fuyons, et attirons-les loin de la ville dans les chemins.
    
33. Tous les hommes d'Israël quittèrent leur position, et se rangèrent à Baal Thamar; et l'embuscade d'Israël s'élança du lieu où elle était, de Maaré Guibea.
    
34. Dix mille hommes choisis sur tout Israël arrivèrent devant Guibea. Le combat fut rude, et les Benjamites ne se doutaient pas du désastre qu'ils allaient éprouver.
    
35. L'Éternel battit Benjamin devant Israël, et les enfants d'Israël tuèrent ce jour-là vingt-cinq mille et cent hommes de Benjamin, tous tirant l'épée.
    

31. The Benjamites came out to meet them and were drawn away from the city. They began to inflict casualties on the Israelites as before, so that about thirty men fell in the open field and on the roads--the one leading to Bethel and the other to Gibeah.
    
32. While the Benjamites were saying, "We are defeating them as before," the Israelites were saying, "Let's retreat and draw them away from the city to the roads."
    
33. All the men of Israel moved from their places and took up positions at Baal Tamar, and the Israelite ambush charged out of its place on the west of Gibeah.
    
34. Then ten thousand of Israel's finest men made a frontal attack on Gibeah. The fighting was so heavy that the Benjamites did not realize how near disaster was.
    
35. The LORD defeated Benjamin before Israel, and on that day the Israelites struck down 25,100 Benjamites, all armed with swords.
    

36. 이에 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 自己(자기)가 敗(패)한 것을 깨달았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람이 기브아에 埋伏(매복)한 軍士(군사)를 믿고 暫間(잠간) 베냐민 사람 앞을 避(피)하매
    
37. ^ㅌ伏兵(복병)이 急(급)히 나와 기브아에 突入(돌입)하고 나아가며 칼날로 온 城邑(성읍)을 쳤음이더라
    
38. 처음에 이스라엘 사람과 伏兵(복병) 사이에 相約(상약)하기를 城邑(성읍)에서 큰 煙氣(연기)가 치미는 것으로 軍號(군호)를 삼자 하고
    
39. 이스라엘 사람은 싸우다가 물러가고 베냐민 사람은 이스라엘 사람 三十名(삼십명) 假量(가량)을 쳐 죽이기를 始作(시작)하며 이르기를 ^ㅍ이들이 丁寧(정녕) 처음 싸움같이 우리에게 敗(패)한다 하다가
    
40. 煙氣(연기) 구름이 기둥 같이 城邑(성읍) 가운데서 일어날 때에 베냐민 사람이 돌아보매 ^ㅎ온 城邑(성읍)에 煙氣(연기)가 하늘에 닿았고
    

36. Les fils de Benjamin regardaient comme battus les hommes d'Israël, qui cédaient du terrain à Benjamin et se reposaient sur l'embuscade qu'ils avaient placée contre Guibea.
    
37. Les gens en embuscade se jetèrent promptement sur Guibea, ils se portèrent en avant et frappèrent toute la ville du tranchant de l'épée.
    
38. Suivant un signal convenu avec les hommes d'Israël, ceux de l'embuscade devaient faire monter de la ville une épaisse fumée.
    
39. Les hommes d'Israël firent alors volte-face dans la bataille. Les Benjamites leur avaient tué déjà environ trente hommes, et ils disaient: Certainement les voilà battus devant nous comme dans le premier combat!
    
40. Cependant une épaisse colonne de fumée commençait à s'élever de la ville. Les Benjamites regardèrent derrière eux; et voici, de la ville entière les flammes montaient vers le ciel.
    

36. Then the Benjamites saw that they were beaten. Now the men of Israel had given way before Benjamin, because they relied on the ambush they had set near Gibeah.
    
37. The men who had been in ambush made a sudden dash into Gibeah, spread out and put the whole city to the sword.
    
38. The men of Israel had arranged with the ambush that they should send up a great cloud of smoke from the city,
    
39. and then the men of Israel would turn in the battle. The Benjamites had begun to inflict casualties on the men of Israel (about thirty), and they said, "We are defeating them as in the first battle."
    
40. But when the column of smoke began to rise from the city, the Benjamites turned and saw the smoke of the whole city going up into the sky.
    

41. 이스라엘 사람은 돌이키는지라 ^ㅏ베냐민 사람이 禍(화)가 自己(자기)에게 미친 것을 보고 甚(심)히 놀라
    
42. 이스라엘 사람 앞에서 몸을 돌이켜 ^ㅑ曠野(광야) 길로 向(향)하였으나 軍士(군사)가 急(급)히 追擊(추격)하며 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 나온 者(자)를 그 가운데서 殄滅(진멸)하니라
    
43. 그들이 베냐민 사람을 에워쌌더니 기브아 앞 東便(동편)까지 쫓으며 그 쉬는 곳에서 짓밟으매
    
44. 베냐민 中(중)에서 엎드러진 者(자)가 一萬(일만) 八千(팔천)이니 다 勇士(용사)더라
    
45. 그들이 몸을 돌이켜 曠野(광야)로 逃亡(도망)하여 ^ㅓ림몬 바위에 이르는 큰 길에서 이스라엘이 또 五千名(오천명)을 이삭 줍듯 하고 또 急(급)히 따라 기돔에 이르러 또 二千名(이천명)을 죽였으니
    

41. Les hommes d'Israël avaient fait volte-face; et ceux de Benjamin furent épouvantés, en voyant le désastre qui allait les atteindre.
    
42. Ils tournèrent le dos devant les hommes d'Israël, et s'enfuirent par le chemin du désert. Mais les assaillants s'attachèrent à leurs pas, et ils détruisirent pendant le trajet ceux qui étaient sortis des villes.
    
43. Ils enveloppèrent Benjamin, le poursuivirent, l'écrasèrent dès qu'il voulait se reposer, jusqu'en face de Guibea du côté du soleil levant.
    
44. Il tomba dix-huit mille hommes de Benjamin, tous vaillants.
    
45. Parmi ceux qui tournèrent le dos pour s'enfuir vers le désert au rocher de Rimmon, les hommes d'Israël en firent périr cinq mille sur les routes; ils les poursuivirent jusqu'à Guideom, et ils en tuèrent deux mille.
    

41. Then the men of Israel turned on them, and the men of Benjamin were terrified, because they realized that disaster had come upon them.
    
42. So they fled before the Israelites in the direction of the desert, but they could not escape the battle. And the men of Israel who came out of the towns cut them down there.
    
43. They surrounded the Benjamites, chased them and easily overran them in the vicinity of Gibeah on the east.
    
44. Eighteen thousand Benjamites fell, all of them valiant fighters.
    
45. As they turned and fled toward the desert to the rock of Rimmon, the Israelites cut down five thousand men along the roads. They kept pressing after the Benjamites as far as Gidom and struck down two thousand more.
    

46. 이 날에 베냐민의 칼을 빼는 者(자)의 엎드러진 것이 모두 二萬(이만) 五千(오천)이니 다 勇士(용사)더라
    
47. 베냐민 六百名(육백명)이 돌이켜 曠野(광야)로 逃亡(도망)하여 림몬 바위에 이르러 거기서 넉달을 지내었더라
    
48. 이스라엘 사람이 베냐민 子孫(자손)에게로 돌아와서 온 城邑(성읍)과 家畜(가축)과 만나는 者(자)를 다 칼날로 치고 닥치는 城邑(성읍)마다 다 불살랐더라
    

46. Le nombre total des Benjamites qui périrent ce jour-là fut de vingt-cinq mille hommes tirant l'épée, tous vaillants.
    
47. Six cents hommes, qui avaient tourné le dos et qui s'étaient enfuis vers le désert au rocher de Rimmon, demeurèrent là pendant quatre mois.
    
48. Les hommes d'Israël revinrent vers les fils de Benjamin, et ils les frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée, depuis les hommes des villes jusqu'au bétail, et tout ce que l'on trouva. Ils mirent aussi le feu à toutes les villes qui existaient.
    

46. On that day twenty-five thousand Benjamite swordsmen fell, all of them valiant fighters.
    
47. But six hundred men turned and fled into the desert to the rock of Rimmon, where they stayed four months.
    
48. The men of Israel went back to Benjamin and put all the towns to the sword, including the animals and everything else they found. All the towns they came across they set on fire.
