여호수아(Josué) 10장 [개역한글 : LSG1910 : NIV]

1. 여호수아가 아이를 取(취)하여 殄滅(진멸)하되 ^ㅜ여리고와 그 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것같이 ^ㅠ아이와 그 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것과 또 ^으기브온 居民(거민)이 이스라엘과 和親(화친)하여 그 中(중)에 있다함을 예루살렘 王(왕) 아도니세덱이 듣고
   
2. ^이크게 두려워하였으니 이는 기브온은 王都(왕도)와 같은 큰 城(성)임이요 아이보다 크고 그 사람들은 다 强(강)함이라
   
3. 예루살렘 王(왕) 아도니세덱이 헤브론 王(왕) 호함과 야르뭇 王(왕) 비람과 라기스 王(왕) 야비아와 에글론 王(왕) 드빌에게 보내어 가로되
   
4. 내게로 올라와 나를 도우라 우리가 기브온을 치자 ^ㅐ이는 기브온이 여호수아와 이스라엘 子孫(자손)으로 더불어 和親(화친)하였음이니라 하매
   
5. 이러므로 아모리 다섯 王(왕) 곧 예루살렘 王(왕)과 헤브론 王(왕)과 야르뭇 王(왕)과 라기스 王(왕)과 에글론 王(왕)이 함께 ^ㄱ모여 自己(자기)들의 모든 軍隊(군대)를 거느리고 올라와서 기브온에 對陣(대진)하고 싸우니라
   

1. Adoni Tsédek, roi de Jérusalem, apprit que Josué s'était emparé d'Aï et l'avait dévouée par interdit, qu'il avait traité Aï et son roi comme il avait traité Jéricho et son roi, et que les habitants de Gabaon avaient fait la paix avec Israël et étaient au milieu d'eux.
   
2. Il eut alors une forte crainte; car Gabaon était une grande ville, comme une des villes royales, plus grande même qu'Aï, et tous ses hommes étaient vaillants.
   
3. Adoni Tsédek, roi de Jérusalem, fit dire à Hoham, roi d'Hébron, à Piream, roi de Jarmuth, à Japhia, roi de Lakis, et à Debir, roi d'Églon:
   
4. Montez vers moi, et aidez-moi, afin que nous frappions Gabaon, car elle a fait la paix avec Josué et avec les enfants d'Israël.
   
5. Cinq rois des Amoréens, le roi de Jérusalem, le roi d'Hébron, le roi de Jarmuth, le roi de Lakis, le roi d'Églon, se réunirent ainsi et montèrent avec toutes leurs armées; ils vinrent camper près de Gabaon, et l'attaquèrent.
   

1. Now Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had taken Ai and totally destroyed it, doing to Ai and its king as he had done to Jericho and its king, and that the people of Gibeon had made a treaty of peace with Israel and were living near them.
   
2. He and his people were very much alarmed at this, because Gibeon was an important city, like one of the royal cities; it was larger than Ai, and all its men were good fighters.
   
3. So Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem appealed to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish and Debir king of Eglon.
   
4. "Come up and help me attack Gibeon," he said, "because it has made peace with Joshua and the Israelites."
   
5. Then the five kings of the Amorites--the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon--joined forces. They moved up with all their troops and took up positions against Gibeon and attacked it.
   

6. 기브온 사람들이 ^ㄴ길갈 陣(진)에 보내어 여호수아에게 傳言(전언)하되 當身(당신)의 종들 돕기를 더디게 마시고 速(속)히 우리에게 올라와서 우리를 救助(구조)하소서 山地(산지)에 居(거)하는 아모리 사람의 王(왕)들이 다 모여 우리를 치나이다 하매
   
7. 여호수아가 ^ㄷ모든 軍士(군사)와 勇士(용사)로 더불어 길갈에서 올라가니라
   
8. 때에 여호와께서 여호수아에게 이르시되 ^ㄹ그들을 두려워 말라 내가 그들을 네 손에 붙였으니 ^ㅁ그들의 한 사람도 너를 當(당)할 者(자) 없으리라 하신지라
   
9. 여호수아가 길갈에서 밤새도록 올라가서 그들에게 갑자기 이르니
   
10. ^ㅂ여호와께서 그들을 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)하게 하시므로 여호수아가 그들을 기브온에서 크게 屠戮(도륙)하고 ^ㅅ벧호론에 올라가는 비탈에서 追擊(추격)하여 아세가와 막게다까지 이르니라
    

6. Les gens de Gabaon envoyèrent dire à Josué, au camp de Guilgal: N'abandonne pas tes serviteurs, monte vers nous en hâte, délivre-nous, donne-nous du secours; car tous les rois des Amoréens, qui habitent la montagne, se sont réunis contre nous.
   
7. Josué monta de Guilgal, lui et tous les gens de guerre avec lui, et tous les vaillants hommes.
   
8. L'Éternel dit à Josué: Ne les crains point, car je les livre entre tes mains, et aucun d'eux ne tiendra devant toi.
   
9. Josué arriva subitement sur eux, après avoir marché toute la nuit depuis Guilgal.
   
10. L'Éternel les mit en déroute devant Israël; et Israël leur fit éprouver une grande défaite près de Gabaon, les poursuivit sur le chemin qui monte à Beth Horon, et les battit jusqu'à Azéka et à Makkéda.
    

6. The Gibeonites then sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal: "Do not abandon your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us, because all the Amorite kings from the hill country have joined forces against us."
   
7. So Joshua marched up from Gilgal with his entire army, including all the best fighting men.
   
8. The LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you."
   
9. After an all-night march from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise.
   
10. The LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, who defeated them in a great victory at Gibeon. Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon and cut them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.
    

11. 그들이 이스라엘 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하여 벧호론의 비탈에서 내려갈 때에 ^ㅇ여호와께서 하늘에서 큰 덩이 雨雹(우박)을 아세가에 이르기까지 내리우시매 그들이 죽었으니 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 칼에 죽은 者(자)보다 雨雹(우박)에 죽은 者(자)가 더욱 많았더라
    
12. 여호와께서 아모리 사람을 이스라엘 子孫(자손)에게 붙이시던 날에 여호수아가 여호와께 告(고)하되 이스라엘 目前(목전)에서 가로되 ^ㅈ太陽(태양)아, 너는 기브온 위에 머무르라 달아, 너도 아얄론 골짜기에 그리할지어다 하매
    
13. 太陽(태양)이 머물고 달이 그치기를 百姓(백성)이 그 對敵(대적)에게 怨讐(원수)를 갚도록 하였느니라 야살의 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)되기를 太陽(태양)이 中天(중천)에 머물러서 거의 終日(종일)토록 速(속)히 내려가지 아니하였다 하지 아니하였느냐
    
14. ^ㅊ여호와께서 사람의 목소리를 들으신 ^ㅋ이같은 날은 前(전)에도 없었고 後(후)에도 없었나니 이는 여호와께서 이스라엘을 爲(위)하여 싸우셨음이니라
    
15. 여호수아가 온 이스라엘로 더불어 ^ㅌ길갈 陣(진)으로 돌아왔더라
    

11. Comme ils fuyaient devant Israël, et qu'ils étaient à la descente de Beth Horon, l'Éternel fit tomber du ciel sur eux de grosses pierres jusqu'à Azéka, et ils périrent; ceux qui moururent par les pierres de grêle furent plus nombreux que ceux qui furent tués avec l'épée par les enfants d'Israël.
    
12. Alors Josué parla à l'Éternel, le jour où l'Éternel livra les Amoréens aux enfants d'Israël, et il dit en présence d'Israël: Soleil, arrête-toi sur Gabaon, Et toi, lune, sur la vallée d'Ajalon!
    
13. Et le soleil s'arrêta, et la lune suspendit sa course, Jusqu'à ce que la nation eût tiré vengeance de ses ennemis. Cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre du Juste? Le soleil s'arrêta au milieu du ciel, Et ne se hâta point de se coucher, presque tout un jour.
    
14. Il n'y a point eu de jour comme celui-là, ni avant ni après, où l'Éternel ait écouté la voix d'un homme; car l'Éternel combattait pour Israël.
    
15. Et Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, retourna au camp à Guilgal.
    

11. As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the LORD hurled large hailstones down on them from the sky, and more of them died from the hailstones than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.
    
12. On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: "O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon."
    
13. So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.
    
14. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a man. Surely the LORD was fighting for Israel!
    
15. Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.
    

16. 그 다섯 王(왕)이 逃亡(도망)하여 ^ㅍ막게다의 窟(굴)에 숨었더니
    
17. 或(혹)이 여호수아에게 告(고)하여 가로되 막게다의 窟(굴)에 그 다섯 王(왕)의 숨은 것을 發見(발견)하였나이다
    
18. 여호수아가 가로되 窟(굴) 어귀에 큰 돌을 굴려 막고 사람을 그 곁에 두어 그들을 지키게 하고
    
19. 너희는 遲滯(지체) 말고 너희 對敵(대적)의 뒤를 따라가 그 ^ㅎ後軍(후군)을 쳐서 그들로 自己(자기)들의 城邑(성읍)에 들어가지 못하게 하라 너희 하나님 여호와께서 그들을 너희 손에 붙이셨느니라 하고
    
20. 여호수아와 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 그들을 크게 屠戮(도륙)하여 거의 ^ㅏ殄滅(진멸)시켰고 그 남은 몇 사람은 堅固(견고)한 城(성)으로 들어가므로
    

16. Les cinq rois s'enfuirent, et se cachèrent dans une caverne à Makkéda.
    
17. On le rapporta à Josué, en disant: Les cinq rois se trouvent cachés dans une caverne à Makkéda.
    
18. Josué dit: Roulez de grosses pierres à l'entrée de la caverne, et mettez-y des hommes pour les garder.
    
19. Et vous, ne vous arrêtez pas, poursuivez vos ennemis, et attaquez-les par derrière; ne les laissez pas entrer dans leurs villes, car l'Éternel, votre Dieu, les a livrés entre vos mains.
    
20. Après que Josué et les enfants d'Israël leur eurent fait éprouver une très grande défaite, et les eurent complètement battus, ceux qui purent échapper se sauvèrent dans les villes fortifiées,
    

16. Now the five kings had fled and hidden in the cave at Makkedah.
    
17. When Joshua was told that the five kings had been found hiding in the cave at Makkedah,
    
18. he said, "Roll large rocks up to the mouth of the cave, and post some men there to guard it.
    
19. But don't stop! Pursue your enemies, attack them from the rear and don't let them reach their cities, for the LORD your God has given them into your hand."
    
20. So Joshua and the Israelites destroyed them completely--almost to a man--but the few who were left reached their fortified cities.
    

21. 모든 百姓(백성)이 平安(평안)히 막게다 陣(진)으로 돌아와 여호수아에게 이르렀으나 ^ㅑ혀를 놀려 이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 對敵(대적)하는 者(자)가 없었더라
    
22. 때에 여호수아가 가로되 窟(굴) 어귀를 열고 그 窟(굴)에서 그 다섯 王(왕)을 내게로 끌어내라 하매
    
23. 그들이 그대로 하여 그 다섯 王(왕) 곧 예루살렘 王(왕)과, 헤브론 王(왕)과, 야르뭇 王(왕)과, 라기스 王(왕)과, 에글론 王(왕)을 窟(굴)에서 그에게로 끌어내니라
    
24. 그 王(왕)들을 여호수아에게로 끌어내매 여호수아가 이스라엘 모든 사람을 부르고 自己(자기)와 함께 갔던 軍長(군장)들에게 이르되 가까이 와서 이 王(왕)들의 목을 발로 밟으라 가까이 와서 그들의 목을 밟으매
    
25. 여호수아가 軍長(군장)들에게 이르되 ^ㅓ두려워 말며 놀라지 말고 마음을 强(강)하게 하고 膽大(담대)히 하라 너희가 더불어 싸우는 모든 對敵(대적)에게 ^ㅕ여호와께서 다 이와 같이 하시리라 하고
    

21. et tout le peuple revint tranquillement au camp vers Josué à Makkéda, sans que personne remuât sa langue contre les enfants d'Israël.
    
22. Josué dit alors: Ouvrez l'entrée de la caverne, faites-en sortir ces cinq rois, et amenez-les-moi.
    
23. Ils firent ainsi, et lui amenèrent les cinq rois qu'ils avaient fait sortir de la caverne, le roi de Jérusalem, le roi d'Hébron, le roi de Jarmuth, le roi de Lakis, le roi d'Églon.
    
24. Lorsqu'ils eurent amené ces rois devant Josué, Josué appela tous les hommes d'Israël, et dit aux chefs des gens de guerre qui avaient marché avec lui: Approchez-vous, mettez vos pieds sur les cous de ces rois. Ils s'approchèrent, et ils mirent les pieds sur leurs cous.
    
25. Josué leur dit: Ne craignez point et ne vous effrayez point, fortifiez-vous et ayez du courage, car c'est ainsi que l'Éternel traitera tous vos ennemis contre lesquels vous combattez.
    

21. The whole army then returned safely to Joshua in the camp at Makkedah, and no one uttered a word against the Israelites.
    
22. Joshua said, "Open the mouth of the cave and bring those five kings out to me."
    
23. So they brought the five kings out of the cave--the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon.
    
24. When they had brought these kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had come with him, "Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings." So they came forward and placed their feet on their necks.
    
25. Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight."
    

26. 그 後(후)에 여호수아가 그 王(왕)들을 쳐 죽여 다섯 나무에 매어 달고 夕陽(석양)까지 ^ㅗ나무에 달린대로 두었다가
    
27. 해 질 때에 여호수아가 命(명)하매 ^ㅛ그 屍體(시체)를 나무에서 내리어 그들의 숨었던 窟(굴)에 들여 던지고 窟(굴) 어귀를 큰 돌로 막았더니 오늘날까지 있더라
    
28. 그 날에 여호수아가 ^ㅜ막게다를 取(취)하고 칼날로 그 城邑(성읍)과 王(왕)을 쳐서 그 城邑(성읍)과 그 中(중)에 있는 모든 사람을 殄滅(진멸)하여 한 사람도 남기지 아니하였으니 막게다 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것이 ^ㅠ여리고 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    
29. 여호수아가 온 이스라엘로 더불어 막게다에서 ^으립나로 나아가서 립나와 싸우매
    
30. 여호와께서 또 그 城邑(성읍)과 그 王(왕)을 이스라엘의 손에 붙이신지라 칼날로 그 城邑(성읍)과 그 中(중)의 모든 사람을 쳐서 滅(멸)하여 한 사람도 남기지 아니하였으니 그 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것이 여리고 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    

26. Après cela, Josué les frappa et les fit mourir; il les pendit à cinq arbres, et ils restèrent pendus aux arbres jusqu'au soir.
    
27. Vers le coucher du soleil, Josué ordonna qu'on les descendît des arbres, on les jeta dans la caverne où ils s'étaient cachés, et l'on mit à l'entrée de la caverne de grosses pierres, qui y sont demeurées jusqu'à ce jour.
    
28. Josué prit Makkéda le même jour, et la frappa du tranchant de l'épée; il dévoua par interdit le roi, la ville et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient; il n'en laissa échapper aucun, et il traita le roi de Makkéda comme il avait traité le roi de Jéricho.
    
29. Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, passa de Makkéda à Libna, et il attaqua Libna.
    
30. L'Éternel la livra aussi, avec son roi, entre les mains d'Israël, et la frappa du tranchant de l'épée, elle et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient; il n'en laissa échapper aucun, et il traita son roi comme il avait traité le roi de Jéricho.
    

26. Then Joshua struck and killed the kings and hung them on five trees, and they were left hanging on the trees until evening.
    
27. At sunset Joshua gave the order and they took them down from the trees and threw them into the cave where they had been hiding. At the mouth of the cave they placed large rocks, which are there to this day.
    
28. That day Joshua took Makkedah. He put the city and its king to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it. He left no survivors. And he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
    
29. Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Makkedah to Libnah and attacked it.
    
30. The LORD also gave that city and its king into Israel's hand. The city and everyone in it Joshua put to the sword. He left no survivors there. And he did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.
    

31. 여호수아가 또 온 이스라엘로 더불어 립나에서 ^이라기스로 나아가서 對陣(대진)하고 싸우더니
    
32. 여호와께서 라기스를 이스라엘의 손에 붙이신지라 이튿날에 그 城邑(성읍)을 取(취)하고 칼날로 그것과 그 中(중)의 모든 사람을 쳐서 滅(멸)하였으니 립나에 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    
33. 때에 ^ㅐ게셀 王(왕) 호람이 라기스를 도우려고 올라오므로 여호수아가 그와 그 百姓(백성)을 쳐서 한 사람도 남기지 아니하였더라
    
34. 여호수아가 온 이스라엘로 더불어 라기스에서 ^ㄱ에글론으로 나아가서 對陣(대진)하고 싸워
    
35. 그 날에 그 城邑(성읍)을 取(취)하고 칼날로 그것을 쳐서 그 中(중)에 있는 모든 사람을 當日(당일)에 殄滅(진멸)하였으니 라기스에 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    

31. Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, passa de Libna à Lakis; il campa devant elle, et il l'attaqua.
    
32. L'Éternel livra Lakis entre les mains d'Israël, qui la prit le second jour, et la frappa du tranchant de l'épée, elle et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, comme il avait traité Libna.
    
33. Alors Horam, roi de Guézer, monta pour secourir Lakis. Josué le battit, lui et son peuple, sans laisser échapper personne.
    
34. Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, passa de Lakis à Églon; ils campèrent devant elle, et ils l'attaquèrent.
    
35. Ils la prirent le même jour, et la frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée, elle et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient; Josué la dévoua par interdit le jour même, comme il avait traité Lakis.
    

31. Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Libnah to Lachish; he took up positions against it and attacked it.
    
32. The LORD handed Lachish over to Israel, and Joshua took it on the second day. The city and everyone in it he put to the sword, just as he had done to Libnah.
    
33. Meanwhile, Horam king of Gezer had come up to help Lachish, but Joshua defeated him and his army--until no survivors were left.
    
34. Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Lachish to Eglon; they took up positions against it and attacked it.
    
35. They captured it that same day and put it to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it, just as they had done to Lachish.
    

36. 여호수아가 또 온 이스라엘로 더불어 에글론에서 ^ㄴ헤브론으로 올라가서 싸워
    
37. 그 城邑(성읍)을 取(취)하고 그것과 그 王(왕)과 그 屬(속)한 城邑(성읍)들과 그 中(중)의 모든 사람을 칼날로 쳐서 하나도 남기지 아니하였으니 그 城邑(성읍)과 그 中(중)의 모든 사람을 殄滅(진멸)한 것이 에글론에 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    
38. 여호수아가 온 이스라엘로 더불어 돌아와서 ^ㄷ드빌에 이르러 싸워
    
39. 그 城邑(성읍)과 그 王(왕)과 그 屬(속)한 城邑(성읍)들을 取(취)하고 칼날로 그 城邑(성읍)을 쳐서 그 中(중)의 모든 사람을 殄滅(진멸)하고 하나도 남기지 아니하였으니 드빌과 그 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것이 헤브론에 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이요 립나와 그 王(왕)에게 行(행)한 것과 一般(일반)이었더라
    
40. 이와 같이 여호수아가 온 땅 곧 山地(산지)와 南方(남방)과 平地(평지)와 ^ㄹ傾斜地(경사지)와 그 모든 王(왕)을 쳐서 하나도 남기지 아니하고 ^ㅁ무릇 呼吸(호흡)이 있는 者(자)는 殄滅(진멸)하였으니 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 命(명)하신 것과 같았더라
    

36. Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, monta d'Églon à Hébron, et ils l'attaquèrent.
    
37. Ils la prirent, et la frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée, elle, son roi, toutes les villes qui en dépendaient, et tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient; Josué n'en laissa échapper aucun, comme il avait fait à Églon, et il la dévoua par interdit avec tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient.
    
38. Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, se dirigea sur Debir, et il l'attaqua.
    
39. Il la prit, elle, son roi, et toutes les villes qui en dépendaient; ils les frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée, et ils dévouèrent par interdit tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, sans en laisser échapper aucun; Josué traita Debir et son roi comme il avait traité Hébron et comme il avait traité Libna et son roi.
    
40. Josué battit tout le pays, la montagne, le midi, la plaine et les coteaux, et il en battit tous les rois; il ne laissa échapper personne, et il dévoua par interdit tout ce qui respirait, comme l'avait ordonné l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
    

36. Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from Eglon to Hebron and attacked it.
    
37. They took the city and put it to the sword, together with its king, its villages and everyone in it. They left no survivors. Just as at Eglon, they totally destroyed it and everyone in it.
    
38. Then Joshua and all Israel with him turned around and attacked Debir.
    
39. They took the city, its king and its villages, and put them to the sword. Everyone in it they totally destroyed. They left no survivors. They did to Debir and its king as they had done to Libnah and its king and to Hebron.
    
40. So Joshua subdued the whole region, including the hill country, the Negev, the western foothills and the mountain slopes, together with all their kings. He left no survivors. He totally destroyed all who breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.
    

41. 여호수아가 또 ^ㅂ가데스 바네아에서 가사까지와 온 ^ㅅ고센 땅을 ^ㅇ기브온에 이르기까지 치매
    
42. 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이스라엘을 爲(위)하여 싸우신故(고)로 여호수아가 이 모든 王(왕)과 그 땅을 單番(단번)에 取(취)하니라
    
43. ^ㅈ여호수아가 온 이스라엘로 더불어 길갈 陣(진)으로 돌아왔더라
    

41. Josué les battit de Kadès Barnéa à Gaza, il battit tout le pays de Gosen jusqu'à Gabaon.
    
42. Josué prit en même temps tous ces rois et leur pays, car l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, combattait pour Israël.
    
43. Et Josué, et tout Israël avec lui, retourna au camp à Guilgal.
    

41. Joshua subdued them from Kadesh Barnea to Gaza and from the whole region of Goshen to Gibeon.
    
42. All these kings and their lands Joshua conquered in one campaign, because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
    
43. Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.
