1. 아합의 아들 七十人(칠십인)이 ^ㄹ사마리아에 있는지라 예후가 便紙(편지)들을 써서 사마리아에 보내어 이스르엘 方伯(방백) 곧 長老(장로)들과 ^ㅁ아합의 여러 아들을 敎育(교육)하는 者(자)들에게 傳(전)하니 일렀으되
   
2. 너희 主(주)의 아들들이 너희와 함께 있고 또 兵車(병거)와 말과 堅固(견고)한 城(성)과 兵器(병기)가 너희에게 있으니 이 便紙(편지)가 너희에게 이르거든
   
3. 너희 主(주)의 아들들 中(중)에서 가장 어질고 正直(정직)한 者(자)를 擇(택)하여 그 아비의 위에 두고 너희 主(주)의 집을 爲(위)하여 싸우라 하였더라
   
4. 저희가 甚(심)히 두려워하여 가로되 두 王(왕)이 저를 當(당)치 못하였거든 우리가 어찌 當(당)하리요 하고
   
5. 宮內(궁내) 大臣(대신)과 府尹(부윤)과 長老(장로)들과 王子(왕자)를 敎育(교육)하는 者(자)들이 예후에게 말을 傳(전)하여 가로되 ^ㅂ우리는 當身(당신)의 종이라 무릇 命(명)하는 것을 우리가 行(행)하고 아무 사람이든지 王(왕)으로 세우지 아니하리니 當身(당신)의 所見(소견)에 좋은대로 行(행)하라 한지라
   

1. Il y avait dans Samarie soixante-dix fils d'Achab. Jéhu écrivit des lettres qu'il envoya à Samarie aux chefs de Jizreel, aux anciens, et aux gouverneurs des enfants d'Achab. Il y était dit:
   
2. Maintenant, quand cette lettre vous sera parvenue, #NAME? vous avez avec vous les fils de votre maître, avec vous les chars et les chevaux, une ville forte et les armes, -
   
3. voyez lequel des fils de votre maître est le meilleur et convient le mieux, mettez-le sur le trône de son père, et combattez pour la maison de votre maître!
   
4. Ils eurent une très grande peur, et ils dirent: Voici, deux rois n'ont pu lui résister; comment résisterions-nous?
   
5. Et le chef de la maison, le chef de la ville, les anciens, et les gouverneurs des enfants, envoyèrent dire à Jéhu: Nous sommes tes serviteurs, et nous ferons tout ce que tu nous diras; nous n'établirons personne roi, fais ce qui te semble bon.
   

1. Now there were in Samaria seventy sons of the house of Ahab. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria: to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders and to the guardians of Ahab's children. He said,
   
2. "As soon as this letter reaches you, since your master's sons are with you and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city and weapons,
   
3. choose the best and most worthy of your master's sons and set him on his father's throne. Then fight for your master's house."
   
4. But they were terrified and said, "If two kings could not resist him, how can we?"
   
5. So the palace administrator, the city governor, the elders and the guardians sent this message to Jehu: "We are your servants and we will do anything you say. We will not appoint anyone as king; you do whatever you think best."
   

6. 예후가 다시 저희에게 便紙(편지)를 부치니 일렀으되 萬一(만일) 너희가 내 便(편)이 되어 내 말을 들으려거든 너희 主(주)의 아들된 사람들의 머리를 取(취)하고 來日(래일) 이맘때에 이스르엘에 이르러 내게 나아오라 하였더라 王子(왕자) 七十人(칠십인)이 城中(성중)에서 그 敎育(교육)하는 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)들과 함께 있는 中(중)에
   
7. 便紙(편지)가 이르매 저희가 王子(왕자) 七十人(칠십인)을 잡아 沒收(몰수)히 ^ㅅ죽이고 그 머리를 광주리에 담아 이스르엘 예후에게로 보내니라
   
8. 使者(사자)가 와서 예후에게 告(고)하여 가로되 무리가 王子(왕자)들의 머리를 가지고 왔나이다 가로되 두 무더기로 쌓아 來日(래일) 아침까지 門(문) 어귀에 두라 하고
   
9. 이튿날 아침에 저가 나가 서서 뭇 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 너희는 義(의)롭도다 ^ㅇ나는 내 主(주)를 背叛(배반)하여 죽였거니와 이 여러 사람을 죽인 者(자)는 누구냐
   
10. 그런즉 너희는 알라 곧 여호와께서 ^ㅈ아합의 집에 對(대)하여 하신 말씀은 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라 여호와께서 그 종 ^ㅊ엘리야로 하신 말씀을 이제 이루셨도다 하니라
    

6. Jéhu leur écrivit une seconde lettre où il était dit: Si vous êtes à moi et si vous obéissez à ma voix, prenez les têtes de ces hommes, fils de votre maître, et venez auprès de moi demain à cette heure, à Jizreel. Or les soixante-dix fils du roi étaient chez les grands de la ville, qui les élevaient.
   
7. Quand la lettre leur fut parvenue, ils prirent les fils du roi, et ils égorgèrent ces soixante-dix hommes; puis ils mirent leurs têtes dans des corbeilles, et les envoyèrent à Jéhu, à Jizreel.
   
8. Le messager vint l'en informer, en disant: Ils ont apporté les têtes des fils du roi. Et il dit: Mettez-les en deux tas à l'entrée de la porte, jusqu'au matin.
   
9. Le matin, il sortit; et se présentant à tout le peuple, il dit: Vous êtes justes! voici, moi, j'ai conspiré contre mon maître et je l'ai tué; mais qui a frappé tous ceux-ci?
   
10. Sachez donc qu'il ne tombera rien à terre de la parole de l'Éternel, de la parole que l'Éternel a prononcée contre la maison d'Achab; l'Éternel accomplit ce qu'il a déclaré par son serviteur Élie.
    

6. Then Jehu wrote them a second letter, saying, "If you are on my side and will obey me, take the heads of your master's sons and come to me in Jezreel by this time tomorrow." Now the royal princes, seventy of them, were with the leading men of the city, who were rearing them.
   
7. When the letter arrived, these men took the princes and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu in Jezreel.
   
8. When the messenger arrived, he told Jehu, "They have brought the heads of the princes." Then Jehu ordered, "Put them in two piles at the entrance of the city gate until morning."
   
9. The next morning Jehu went out. He stood before all the people and said, "You are innocent. It was I who conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?
   
10. Know then, that not a word the LORD has spoken against the house of Ahab will fail. The LORD has done what he promised through his servant Elijah."
    

11. 예후가 무릇 아합의 집에 屬(속)한 이스르엘에 남아 있는 者(자)를 다 죽이고 또 그 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)와 가까운 親舊(친구)와 祭司長(제사장)들을 죽이되 저에게 屬(속)한 者(자)를 하나도 남기지 아니하였더라
    
12. 예후가 일어나서 사마리아로 가더니 路中(노중)에 牧者(목자)가 羊(양)털 깎는 집에 이르러
    
13. 유다 王(왕) ^ㅋ아하시야의 兄弟(형제)들을 만나 묻되 너희는 누구냐 對答(대답)하되 우리는 아하시야의 兄弟(형제)라 이제 王子(왕자)들과 太后(태후)의 아들들에게 問安(문안)하러 내려가노라
    
14. 가로되 사로잡으라 하매 곧 사로잡아 牧者(목자)가 羊(양)털 깎는 집 웅덩이 곁에서 죽이니 四十二人(사십이인)이 하나도 남지 아니하였더라
    
15. 예후가 거기서 떠나가다가 ^ㅌ레갑의 아들 ^ㅍ여호나답이 맞으러 오는 것을 만난지라 그 安否(안부)를 묻고 가로되 내 마음이 네 마음을 向(향)하여 眞實(진실)함과 같이 네 마음도 眞實(진실)하냐 여호나답이 對答(대답)하되 그러하니이다 가로되 그러면 ^ㅎ나와 손을 잡자 손을 잡으니 예후가 끌어 兵車(병거)에 올리며
    

11. Et Jéhu frappa tous ceux qui restaient de la maison d'Achab à Jizreel, tous ses grands, ses familiers et ses ministres, sans en laisser échapper un seul.
    
12. Puis il se leva, et partit pour aller à Samarie. Arrivé à une maison de réunion des bergers, sur le chemin,
    
13. Jéhu trouva les frères d'Achazia, roi de Juda, et il dit: Qui êtes-vous? Ils répondirent: Nous sommes les frères d'Achazia, et nous descendons pour saluer les fils du roi et les fils de la reine.
    
14. Jéhu dit: Saisissez-les vivants. Et ils les saisirent vivants, et les égorgèrent au nombre de quarante-deux, à la citerne de la maison de réunion; Jéhu n'en laissa échapper aucun.
    
15. Étant parti de là, il rencontra Jonadab, fils de Récab, qui venait au-devant de lui. Il le salua, et lui dit: Ton coeur est-il sincère, comme mon coeur l'est envers le tien? Et Jonadab répondit: Il l'est. S'il l'est, répliqua Jéhu, donne-moi ta main. Jonadab lui donna la main. Et Jéhu le fit monter auprès de lui dans son char,
    

11. So Jehu killed everyone in Jezreel who remained of the house of Ahab, as well as all his chief men, his close friends and his priests, leaving him no survivor.
    
12. Jehu then set out and went toward Samaria. At Beth Eked of the Shepherds,
    
13. he met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked, "Who are you?" They said, "We are relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come down to greet the families of the king and of the queen mother."
    
14. "Take them alive!" he ordered. So they took them alive and slaughtered them by the well of Beth Eked--forty-two men. He left no survivor.
    
15. After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Recab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said, "Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?" "I am," Jehonadab answered. "If so," said Jehu, "give me your hand." So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.
    

16. 가로되 나와 함께 가서 여호와를 爲(위)한 ^ㅏ나의 熱心(열심)을 보라 하고 이에 自己(자기) 兵車(병거)에 태우고
    
17. 사마리아에 이르러 거기 남아있는바 ^ㅑ아합에게 屬(속)한 者(자)를 죽여 殄滅(진멸)하였으니 여호와께서 엘리야에게 이르신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
    
18. 예후가 뭇 百姓(백성)을 모으고 이르되 ^ㅓ아합은 바알을 조금 섬겼으나 예후는 많이 섬기리라
    
19. 그러므로 내가 이제 큰 祭祀(제사)를 바알에게 드리고자 하노니 ^ㅕ바알의 모든 先知者(선지자)와 모든 섬기는 者(자)와 모든 祭司長(제사장)들을 한 사람도 빠치지 말고 불러 내게로 나오게 하라 무릇 오지 아니하는 者(자)는 살리지 아니하리라 하니 이는 예후가 바알 섬기는 者(자)를 滅(멸)하려 하여 詭計(궤계)를 씀이라
    
20. 예후가 ^ㅗ바알을 爲(위)하는 大會(대회)를 ^ㅛ거룩히 열라 하매 ^ㅜ드디어 公布(공포)하였더라
    

16. et dit: Viens avec moi, et tu verras mon zèle pour l'Éternel. Il l'emmena ainsi dans son char.
    
17. Lorsque Jéhu fut arrivé à Samarie, il frappa tous ceux qui restaient d'Achab à Samarie, et il les détruisit entièrement, selon la parole que l'Éternel avait dite à Élie.
    
18. Puis il assembla tout le peuple, et leur dit: Achab a peu servi Baal, Jéhu le servira beaucoup.
    
19. Maintenant convoquez auprès de moi tous les prophètes de Baal, tous ses serviteurs et tous ses prêtres, sans qu'il en manque un seul, car je veux offrir un grand sacrifice à Baal: quiconque manquera ne vivra pas. Jéhu agissait avec ruse, pour faire périr les serviteurs de Baal.
    
20. Il dit: Publiez une fête en l'honneur de Baal. Et ils la publièrent.
    

16. Jehu said, "Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD." Then he had him ride along in his chariot.
    
17. When Jehu came to Samaria, he killed all who were left there of Ahab's family; he destroyed them, according to the word of the LORD spoken to Elijah.
    
18. Then Jehu brought all the people together and said to them, "Ahab served Baal a little; Jehu will serve him much.
    
19. Now summon all the prophets of Baal, all his ministers and all his priests. See that no one is missing, because I am going to hold a great sacrifice for Baal. Anyone who fails to come will no longer live." But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the ministers of Baal.
    
20. Jehu said, "Call an assembly in honor of Baal." So they proclaimed it.
    

21. 예후가 온 이스라엘에 두루 보내었더니 무릇 바알을 섬기는 사람이 하나도 빠진 者(자)가 없이 다 이르렀고 무리가 ^ㅠ바알의 堂(당)에 들어가매 이便(편)부터 저便(편)까지 가득하였더라
    
22. 예후가 禮服(예복) 맡은 者(자)에게 이르되 禮服(예복)을 내어다가 무릇 바알 섬기는 者(자)에게 주라 하매 저희에게로 禮服(예복)을 가져온지라
    
23. 예후가 레갑의 아들 여호나답으로 더불어 바알의 堂(당)에 들어가서 바알을 섬기는 者(자)에게 이르되 너희는 살펴보아 바알을 섬기는 者(자)만 여기 있게 하고 여호와의 종은 하나도 너희 中(중)에 있지 못하게 하라 하고
    
24. 무리가 燔祭(번제)와 다른 祭祀(제사)를 드리려고 들어간 때에 예후가 八十人(팔십인)을 밖에 두며 이르되 내가 너희 손에 붙이는 사람을 한 사람이라도 逃亡(도망)하게 하는 者(자)는 ^으自己(자기)의 生命(생명)으로 그 사람의 生命(생명)을 代身(대신)하리라 하니라
    
25. 燔祭(번제) 드리기를 다하매 예후가 ^이護衛兵(호위병)과 長官(장관)들에게 이르되 ^ㅐ들어가서 한 사람도 나가지 못하게 하고 죽이라 하매 護衛兵(호위병)과 長官(장관)들이 칼로 저희를 죽여 밖에 던지고
    

21. Il envoya des messagers dans tout Israël; et tous les serviteurs de Baal arrivèrent, il n'y en eut pas un qui ne vînt; ils entrèrent dans la maison de Baal, et la maison de Baal fut remplie d'un bout à l'autre.
    
22. Jéhu dit à celui qui avait la garde du vestiaire: Sors des vêtements pour tous les serviteurs de Baal. Et cet homme sortit des vêtements pour eux.
    
23. Alors Jéhu vint à la maison de Baal avec Jonadab, fils de Récab, et il dit aux serviteurs de Baal: Cherchez et regardez, afin qu'il n'y ait pas ici des serviteurs de l'Éternel, mais qu'il y ait seulement des serviteurs de Baal.
    
24. Et ils entrèrent pour offrir des sacrifices et des holocaustes. Jéhu avait placé dehors quatre-vingts hommes, en leur disant: Celui qui laissera échapper quelqu'un des hommes que je remets entre vos mains, sa vie répondra de la sienne.
    
25. Lorsqu'on eut achevé d'offrir les holocaustes, Jéhu dit aux coureurs et aux officiers: Entrez, frappez-les, que pas un ne sorte. Et ils les frappèrent du tranchant de l'épée. Les coureurs et les officiers les jetèrent là, et ils allèrent jusqu'à la ville de la maison de Baal.
    

21. Then he sent word throughout Israel, and all the ministers of Baal came; not one stayed away. They crowded into the temple of Baal until it was full from one end to the other.
    
22. And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe, "Bring robes for all the ministers of Baal." So he brought out robes for them.
    
23. Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Recab went into the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the ministers of Baal, "Look around and see that no servants of the LORD are here with you--only ministers of Baal."
    
24. So they went in to make sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had posted eighty men outside with this warning: "If one of you lets any of the men I am placing in your hands escape, it will be your life for his life."
    
25. As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: "Go in and kill them; let no one escape." So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal.
    

26. 바알의 堂(당) 있는 城(성)으로 가서 바알의 堂(당)에서 ^ㄱ木像(목상)들을 가져다가 불사르고
    
27. 바알의 木像(목상)을 헐며 바알의 堂(당)을 毁破(훼파)하여 ^ㄴ便所(변소)를 만들었더니 오늘날까지 이르니라
    
28. 예후가 이와 같이 이스라엘 中(중)에서 바알을 滅(멸)하였으나
    
29. ^ㄷ이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 ^ㄹ罪(죄) 곧 벧엘과 단에 있는 金(금)송아지를 섬기는 罪(죄)에서는 떠나지 아니하였더라
    
30. 여호와께서 예후에게 이르시되 네가 나 보기에 正直(정직)한 일을 行(행)하되 잘 行(행)하여 내 마음에 있는대로 아합집에 다 行(행)하였은즉 ^ㅁ네 子孫(자손)이 이스라엘 王位(왕위)를 이어 四代(사대)를 지나리라 하시니라
    

26. Ils tirèrent dehors les statues de la maison de Baal, et les brûlèrent.
    
27. Ils renversèrent la statue de Baal, ils renversèrent aussi la maison de Baal, et ils en firent un cloaque, qui a subsisté jusqu'à ce jour.
    
28. Jéhu extermina Baal du milieu d'Israël;
    
29. mais il ne se détourna point des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, qui avait fait pécher Israël, il n'abandonna point les veaux d'or qui étaient à Béthel et à Dan.
    
30. L'Éternel dit à Jéhu: Parce que tu as bien exécuté ce qui était droit à mes yeux, et que tu as fait à la maison d'Achab tout ce qui était conforme à ma volonté, tes fils jusqu'à la quatrième génération seront assis sur le trône d'Israël.
    

26. They brought the sacred stone out of the temple of Baal and burned it.
    
27. They demolished the sacred stone of Baal and tore down the temple of Baal, and people have used it for a latrine to this day.
    
28. So Jehu destroyed Baal worship in Israel.
    
29. However, he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit--the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dan.
    
30. The LORD said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in accomplishing what is right in my eyes and have done to the house of Ahab all I had in mind to do, your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation."
    

31. 그러나 예후가 全心(전심)으로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 律法(률법)을 지켜 行(행)하지 아니하며 여로보암이 이스라엘로 犯(범)하게 한 ^ㅂ그 罪(죄)에서 떠나지 아니하였더라
    
32. 이 때에 여호와께서 비로소 ^ㅅ이스라엘을 찢으시매 ^ㅇ하사엘이 그 四方(사방)을 치되
    
33. 요단 東便(동편) 길르앗 온 땅 곧 갓 사람과 르우벤 사람과 므낫세 사람의 땅 아르논 골짜기에 있는 ^ㅈ아로엘에서부터 ^ㅊ길르앗과 바산까지 하였더라
    
34. 예후의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 무릇 行(행)한 일과 모든 權勢(권세)는 이스라엘 王(왕) 歷代(력대) 志略(지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
    
35. 예후가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 자매 사마리아에 葬事(장사)되고 그 아들 여호아하스가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
    

31. Toutefois Jéhu ne prit point garde à marcher de tout son coeur dans la loi de l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël; il ne se détourna point des péchés que Jéroboam avait fait commettre à Israël.
    
32. Dans ce temps-là, l'Éternel commença à entamer le territoire d'Israël; et Hazaël les battit sur toute la frontière d'Israël.
    
33. Depuis le Jourdain, vers le soleil levant, il battit tout le pays de Galaad, les Gadites, les Rubénites et les Manassites, depuis Aroër sur le torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à Galaad et à Basan.
    
34. Le reste des actions de Jéhu, tout ce qu'il a fait, et tous ses exploits, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël?
    
35. Jéhu se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra à Samarie. Et Joachaz, son fils, régna à sa place.
    

31. Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.
    
32. In those days the LORD began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory
    
33. east of the Jordan in all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh), from Aroer by the Arnon Gorge through Gilead to Bashan.
    
34. As for the other events of Jehu's reign, all he did, and all his achievements, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
    
35. Jehu rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son succeeded him as king.
    

36. 예후가 사마리아에서 이스라엘을 다스린 햇수는 二十八年(이십팔년)이더라
    

36. Jéhu avait régné vingt-huit ans sur Israël à Samarie.
    

36. The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
