1. ^ㅈ王(왕)이 보내어 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 長老(장로)를 自己(자기)에게로 모으고
   
2. 이에 여호와의 殿(전)에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 祭司長(제사장)들과 先知者(선지자)들과 모든 百姓(백성)이 無論(무론) 老少(로소)하고 다 王(왕)과 함께 한지라 王(왕)이 ^ㅊ여호와의 殿(전) 안에서 發見(발견)한 ^ㅋ言約冊(언약책)의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
   
3. 王(왕)이 ^ㅌ臺(대) 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 ^ㅍ言約(언약)을 세우되 마음을 다하고 性稟(성품)을 다하여 ^ㅎ여호와를 順從(순종)하고 그 誡命(계명)과 法度(법도)와 律例(율례)를 지켜 이 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 이 言約(언약)의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 百姓(백성)이 다 그 言約(언약)을 좇기로 하니라
   
4. 王(왕)이 大祭司長(대제사장) 힐기야와 모든 ^ㅏ버금 祭司長(제사장)들과 門(문)을 지킨 者(자)들에게 命(명)하여 ^ㅑ바알과 ^ㅓ아세라와 하늘의 日月(일월) 星辰(성신)을 爲(위)하여 만든 모든 器皿(기명)을 여호와의 殿(전)에서 내어다가 ^ㅕ예루살렘 바깥 기드론 밭에서 불사르고 그 재를 벧엘로 가져가게 하고
   
5. 옛적에 유다 王(왕)들이 세워서 유다 모든 고을과 예루살렘 四面(사면) 山堂(산당)에서 焚香(분향)하며 偶像(우상)을 섬기게 한 祭司長(제사장)들을 廢(폐)하며 또 바알과 해와 달과 열두 宮星(궁성)과 ^ㅗ하늘의 모든 별에게 焚香(분향)하는 者(자)들을 廢(폐)하고
   

1. Le roi Josias fit assembler auprès de lui tous les anciens de Juda et de Jérusalem.
   
2. Puis il monta à la maison de l'Éternel, avec tous les hommes de Juda et tous les habitants de Jérusalem, les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, depuis le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand. Il lut devant eux toutes les paroles du livre de l'alliance, qu'on avait trouvé dans la maison de l'Éternel.
   
3. Le roi se tenait sur l'estrade, et il traita alliance devant l'Éternel, s'engageant à suivre l'Éternel, et à observer ses ordonnances, ses préceptes et ses lois, de tout son coeur et de toute son âme, afin de mettre en pratique les paroles de cette alliance, écrites dans ce livre. Et tout le peuple entra dans l'alliance.
   
4. Le roi ordonna à Hilkija, le souverain sacrificateur, aux sacrificateurs du second ordre, et à ceux qui gardaient le seuil, de sortir du temple de l'Éternel tous les ustensiles qui avaient été faits pour Baal, pour Astarté, et pour toute l'armée des cieux; et il les brûla hors de Jérusalem, dans les champs du Cédron, et en fit porter la poussière à Béthel.
   
5. Il chassa les prêtres des idoles, établis par les rois de Juda pour brûler des parfums sur les hauts lieux dans les villes de Juda et aux environs de Jérusalem, et ceux qui offraient des parfums à Baal, au soleil, à la lune, au zodiaque et à toute l'armée des cieux.
   

1. Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
   
2. He went up to the temple of the LORD with the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets--all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the LORD.
   
3. The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD--to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.
   
4. The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the priests next in rank and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the LORD all the articles made for Baal and Asherah and all the starry hosts. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley and took the ashes to Bethel.
   
5. He did away with the pagan priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem--those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts.
   

6. 또 여호와의 殿(전)에서 아세라 像(상)을 내어 예루살렘 바깥 기드론 시내로 가져다가 거기서 불사르고 ^ㅛ빻아서 가루를 만들어 ^ㅜ그 가루를 平民(평민)의 墓地(묘지)에 뿌리고
   
7. 또 여호와의 殿(전) 가운데 ^ㅠ美童(미동)의 집을 헐었으니 ^으그곳은 女人(녀인)이 아세라를 爲(위)하여 揮帳(휘장)을 짜는 處所(처소)이었더라
   
8. 유다 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 모든 祭司長(제사장)을 불러오고 또 祭司長(제사장)이 焚香(분향)하던 山堂(산당)을 ^이게바에서부터 브엘세바까지 더럽게하고 또 城門(성문)의 山堂(산당)들을 헐어 버렸으니 이 山堂(산당)들은 府尹(부윤) 여호수아의 大門(대문) 어구 곧 城門(성문) 왼便(편)에 있었더라
   
9. ^ㅐ山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들은 예루살렘 여호와의 壇(단)에 올라가지 못하고 다만 그 兄弟(형제) 中(중)에서 無酵餠(무효병)을 먹을 뿐이었더라
   
10. 王(왕)이 또 ^ㄱ힌놈의 아들 골짜기의 ^ㄴ도벳을 더럽게 하여 ^ㄷ사람으로 ^ㄹ몰록에게 드리기 爲(위)하여 그 子女(자녀)를 불로 지나가게 하지 못하게 하고
    

6. Il sortit de la maison de l'Éternel l'idole d'Astarté, qu'il transporta hors de Jérusalem vers le torrent de Cédron; il la brûla au torrent de Cédron et la réduisit en poussière, et il en jeta la poussière sur les sépulcres des enfants du peuple.
   
7. Il abattit les maisons des prostitués qui étaient dans la maison de l'Éternel, et où les femmes tissaient des tentes pour Astarté.
   
8. Il fit venir tous les prêtres des villes de Juda; il souilla les hauts lieux où les prêtres brûlaient des parfums, depuis Guéba jusqu'à Beer Schéba; et il renversa les hauts lieux des portes, celui qui était à l'entrée de la porte de Josué, chef de la ville, et celui qui était à gauche de la porte de la ville.
   
9. Toutefois les prêtres des hauts lieux ne montaient pas à l'autel de l'Éternel à Jérusalem, mais ils mangeaient des pains sans levain au milieu de leurs frères.
   
10. Le roi souilla Topheth dans la vallée des fils de Hinnom, afin que personne ne fît plus passer son fils ou sa fille par le feu en l'honneur de Moloc.
    

6. He took the Asherah pole from the temple of the LORD to the Kidron Valley outside Jerusalem and burned it there. He ground it to powder and scattered the dust over the graves of the common people.
   
7. He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the temple of the LORD and where women did weaving for Asherah.
   
8. Josiah brought all the priests from the towns of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He broke down the shrines at the gates--at the entrance to the Gate of Joshua, the city governor, which is on the left of the city gate.
   
9. Although the priests of the high places did not serve at the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, they ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests.
   
10. He desecrated Topheth, which was in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so no one could use it to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire to Molech.
    

11. 또 유다 列王(열왕)이 太陽(태양)을 爲(위)하여 드린 말들을 除(제)하여 버렸으니 이 말들은 여호와의 殿(전)으로 들어가는 곳의 ^ㅁ近處(근처) ^ㅂ侍從(시종) 나단멜렉의 집 곁에 있던 것이며 또 太陽(태양) 수레를 불사르고
    
12. 유다 列王(열왕)이 ^ㅅ아하스의 다락 지붕에 세운 壇(단)들과 므낫세가 ^ㅇ여호와의 殿(전) 두 마당에 세운 壇(단)들을 王(왕)이 다 헐고 거기서 빻아내려서 그 가루를 ^ㅈ기드론 시내에 쏟아버리고
    
13. 또 예루살렘 앞 ^ㅊ滅亡山(멸망산) 右便(우편)에 세운 山堂(산당)을 더럽게 하였으니 이는 옛적에 이스라엘王(왕) 솔로몬이 시돈 사람의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅋ아스다롯과 모압 사람의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅌ그모스와 암몬 子孫(자손)의 可憎(가증)한 ^ㅍ밀곰을 爲(위)하여 세웠던 것이며
    
14. 王(왕)이 또 ^ㅎ石像(석상)들을 깨뜨리며 아세라 木像(목상)들을 찍고 사람의 骸骨(해골)로 그곳에 채웠더라
    
15. 이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 ^ㅏ느밧의 아들 여로보암이 벧엘에 세운 壇(단)과 ^ㅑ山堂(산당)을 王(왕)이 헐고 ^ㅓ또 그 山堂(산당)을 불사르고 빻아서 가루를 만들며 또 아세라 木像(목상)을 불살랐더라
    

11. Il fit disparaître de l'entrée de la maison de l'Éternel les chevaux que les rois de Juda avaient consacrés au soleil, près de la chambre de l'eunuque Nethan Mélec, qui demeurait dans le faubourg; et il brûla au feu les chars du soleil.
    
12. Le roi démolit les autels qui étaient sur le toit de la chambre haute d'Achaz et que les rois de Juda avaient faits, et les autels qu'avait faits Manassé dans les deux parvis de la maison de l'Éternel; après les avoir brisés et enlevés de là, il en jeta la poussière dans le torrent de Cédron.
    
13. Le roi souilla les hauts lieux qui étaient en face de Jérusalem, sur la droite de la montagne de perdition, et que Salomon, roi d'Israël, avait bâtis à Astarté, l'abomination des Sidoniens, à Kemosch, l'abomination de Moab, et à Milcom, l'abomination des fils d'Ammon.
    
14. Il brisa les statues et abattit les idoles, et il remplit d'ossements d'hommes la place qu'elles occupaient.
    
15. Il renversa aussi l'autel qui était à Béthel, et le haut lieu qu'avait fait Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, qui avait fait pécher Israël; il brûla le haut lieu et le réduisit en poussière, et il brûla l'idole.
    

11. He removed from the entrance to the temple of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the room of an official named Nathan-Melech. Josiah then burned the chariots dedicated to the sun.
    
12. He pulled down the altars the kings of Judah had erected on the roof near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts of the temple of the LORD. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley.
    
13. The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption--the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon.
    
14. Josiah smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles and covered the sites with human bones.
    
15. Even the altar at Bethel, the high place made by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin--even that altar and high place he demolished. He burned the high place and ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah pole also.
    

16. 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 山(산)에 있는 墓室(묘실)들을 보고 보내어 그 墓室(묘실)에서 骸骨(해골)을 取(취)하여다가 壇(단) 위에 불살라 그 壇(단)을 더럽게 하니라 이 일을 하나님의 사람이 傳(전)하였더니 그 傳(전)한 ^ㅕ여호와의 말씀대로 되었더라
    
17. 요시야가 이르되 내게 보이는 저것은 무슨 碑石(비석)이냐 城邑(성읍) 사람들이 告(고)하되 王(왕)께서 벧엘의 壇(단)에 向(향)하여 行(행)하신 이 일을 傳(전)하러 유다에서 왔던 ^ㅗ하나님의 사람의 墓室(묘실)이니이다
    
18. 가로되 그대로 두고 그 뼈를 옮기지 말라 하매 무리가 그 뼈와 사마리아에서 온 ^ㅛ先知者(선지자)의 뼈는 그대로 두었더라
    
19. ^ㅜ前(전)에 이스라엘 列王(열왕)이 사마리아 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에 지어서 여호와의 怒(노)를 激發(격발)한 山堂(산당)을 요시야가 다 除(제)하되 벧엘에서 行(행)한 모든 일대로 行(행)하고
    
20. 또 ^ㅠ거기 있는 山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들을 다 壇(단) 위에서 죽이고 ^으사람의 骸骨(해골)을 壇(단) 위에 불사르고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
    

16. Josias, s'étant tourné et ayant vu les sépulcres qui étaient là dans la montagne, envoya prendre les ossements des sépulcres, et il les brûla sur l'autel et le souilla, selon la parole de l'Éternel prononcée par l'homme de Dieu qui avait annoncé ces choses.
    
17. Il dit: Quel est ce monument que je vois? Les gens de la ville lui répondirent: C'est le sépulcre de l'homme de Dieu, qui est venu de Juda, et qui a crié contre l'autel de Béthel ces choses que tu as accomplies.
    
18. Et il dit: Laissez-le; que personne ne remue ses os! On conserva ainsi ses os avec les os du prophète qui était venu de Samarie.
    
19. Josias fit encore disparaître toutes les maisons des hauts lieux, qui étaient dans les villes de Samarie, et qu'avaient faites les rois d'Israël pour irriter l'Éternel; il fit à leur égard entièrement comme il avait fait à Béthel.
    
20. Il immola sur les autels tous les prêtres des hauts lieux, qui étaient là, et il y brûla des ossements d'hommes. Puis il retourna à Jérusalem.
    

16. Then Josiah looked around, and when he saw the tombs that were there on the hillside, he had the bones removed from them and burned on the altar to defile it, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by the man of God who foretold these things.
    
17. The king asked, "What is that tombstone I see?" The men of the city said, "It marks the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and pronounced against the altar of Bethel the very things you have done to it."
    
18. "Leave it alone," he said. "Don't let anyone disturb his bones." So they spared his bones and those of the prophet who had come from Samaria.
    
19. Just as he had done at Bethel, Josiah removed and defiled all the shrines at the high places that the kings of Israel had built in the towns of Samaria that had provoked the LORD to anger.
    
20. Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
    

21. 王(왕)이 뭇 百姓(백성)에게 命(명)하여 가로되 ^이이 言約冊(언약책)에 記錄(기록)된대로 너희의 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 ^ㅐ逾越節(유월절)을 지키라 하매
    
22. ^ㄱ士師(사사)가 이스라엘을 다스리던 時代(시대)부터 이스라엘 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 유다 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 이렇게 逾越節(유월절)을 지킨 일이 없었더니
    
23. 요시야王(왕) 十八年(십팔년)에 예루살렘에서 여호와 앞에 이 逾越節(유월절)을 지켰더라
    
24. 요시야가 또 유다 땅과 예루살렘에 보이는 ^ㄴ神接(신접)한 者(자)와 박수와 ^ㄷ드라빔과 ^ㄹ偶像(우상)과 모든 可憎(가증)한 것을 다 除(제)하였으니 이는 大祭司長(대제사장) ^ㅁ힐기야가 여호와의 殿(전)에서 發見(발견)한 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 ^ㅂ律法(률법) 말씀을 이루려 함이라
    
25. ^ㅅ요시야와 같이 마음을 다하며 性稟(성품)을 다하며 힘을 다하여 여호와를 向(향)하여 모세의 모든 律法(률법)을 穩全(온전)히 遵行(준행)한 임금은 요시야 前(전)에도 없었고 後(후)에도 그와 같은 者(자)가 없었더라
    

21. Le roi donna cet ordre à tout le peuple: Célébrez la Pâque en l'honneur de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, comme il est écrit dans ce livre de l'alliance.
    
22. Aucune Pâque pareille à celle-ci n'avait été célébrée depuis le temps où les juges jugeaient Israël et pendant tous les jours des rois d'Israël et des rois de Juda.
    
23. Ce fut la dix-huitième année du roi Josias qu'on célébra cette Pâque en l'honneur de l'Éternel à Jérusalem.
    
24. De plus, Josias fit disparaître ceux qui évoquaient les esprits et ceux qui prédisaient l'avenir, et les théraphim, et les idoles, et toutes les abominations qui se voyaient dans le pays de Juda et à Jérusalem, afin de mettre en pratique les paroles de la loi, écrites dans le livre que le sacrificateur Hilkija avait trouvé dans la maison de l'Éternel.
    
25. Avant Josias, il n'y eut point de roi qui, comme lui, revînt à l'Éternel de tout son coeur, de toute son âme et de toute sa force, selon toute la loi de Moïse; et après lui, il n'en a point paru de semblable.
    

21. The king gave this order to all the people: "Celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant."
    
22. Not since the days of the judges who led Israel, nor throughout the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah, had any such Passover been observed.
    
23. But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the LORD in Jerusalem.
    
24. Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the temple of the LORD.
    
25. Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did--with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.
    

26. 그러나 여호와께서 유다를 向(향)하여 震怒(진노)하신 그 크게 타오르는 震怒(진노)를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 ^ㅇ므낫세가 여호와를 激怒(격노)케 한 그 모든 激怒(격노)를 因(인)함이라
    
27. 여호와께서 가라사대 ^ㅈ내가 이스라엘을 물리친 것 같이 유다도 내 앞에서 물리치며 내가 뺀 이 城(성) 예루살렘과 ^ㅊ내 이름을 거기 두리라 한 이 殿(전)을 버리리라 하셨더라
    
28. 요시야의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 모든 行(행)한 일은 유다 王(왕) 歷代(력대) 志略(지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
    
29. ^ㅋ요시야 當時(당시)에 애굽 王(왕) ^ㅌ바로느고가 앗수르 王(왕)을 치고자하여 유브라데 河水(하수)로 올라가므로 요시야 王(왕)이 나가서 防備(방비)하더니 애굽 王(왕)이 요시야를 ^ㅍ므깃도에서 만나본 後(후)에 죽인지라
    
30. ^ㅎ信服(신복)들이 그 屍體(시체)를 兵車(병거)에 싣고 므깃도에서 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 그 墓室(묘실)에 葬事(장사)하니 ^ㅏ國民(국민)이 요시야의 아들 여호아하스를 데려다가 저에게 기름을 붓고 그 父親(부친)을 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼았더라
    

26. Toutefois l'Éternel ne se désista point de l'ardeur de sa grande colère dont il était enflammé contre Juda, à cause de tout ce qu'avait fait Manassé pour l'irriter.
    
27. Et l'Éternel dit: J'ôterai aussi Juda de devant ma face comme j'ai ôté Israël, et je rejetterai cette ville de Jérusalem que j'avais choisie, et la maison de laquelle j'avais dit: Là sera mon nom.
    
28. Le reste des actions de Josias, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
    
29. De son temps, Pharaon Néco, roi d'Égypte, monta contre le roi d'Assyrie, vers le fleuve de l'Euphrate. Le roi Josias marcha à sa rencontre; et Pharaon le tua à Meguiddo, dès qu'il le vit.
    
30. Ses serviteurs l'emportèrent mort sur un char; ils l'amenèrent de Meguiddo à Jérusalem, et ils l'enterrèrent dans son sépulcre. Et le peuple du pays prit Joachaz, fils de Josias; ils l'oignirent, et le firent roi à la place de son père.
    

26. Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to provoke him to anger.
    
27. So the LORD said, "I will remove Judah also from my presence as I removed Israel, and I will reject Jerusalem, the city I chose, and this temple, about which I said, 'There shall my Name be.'"
    
28. As for the other events of Josiah's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
    
29. While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Neco faced him and killed him at Megiddo.
    
30. Josiah's servants brought his body in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father.
    

31. ^ㅑ여호아하스가 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 二十三歲(이십삼세)라 예루살렘에서 석달을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 ^ㅓ하무달이라 립나 예레미야의 딸이더라
    
32. 여호아하스가 그 ^ㅕ列祖(열조)의 모든 行爲(행위)대로 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더니
    
33. 바로느고가 저를 ^ㅗ하맛 땅 ^ㅛ립나에 가두어 예루살렘에서 王(왕)이 되지 못하게 하고 또 그 나라로 銀(은) 一百(일백) 달란트와 金(금) 한 달란트를 罰金(벌금)으로 내게 하고
    
34. 바로느고가 요시야의 아들 엘리아김으로 그 아비 요시야를 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼고 ^ㅜ그 이름을 고쳐 여호야김이라 하고 여호아하스는 ^ㅠ애굽으로 잡아갔더니 저가 거기서 죽으니라
    
35. 여호야김이 ^으銀(은)과 金(금)을 바로에게 주니라 저가 바로느고의 命令(명령)대로 그에게 그 돈을 주기 爲(위)하여 나라에 賦課(부과)하되 國民(국민) 各(각) 사람의 힘대로 額數(액수)를 定(정)하고 銀金(은금)을 勒捧(늑봉)하였더라
    

31. Joachaz avait vingt-trois ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna trois mois à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Hamuthal, fille de Jérémie, de Libna.
    
32. Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel, entièrement comme avaient fait ses pères.
    
33. Pharaon Néco l'enchaîna à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath, pour qu'il ne régnât plus à Jérusalem; et il mit sur le pays une contribution de cent talents d'argent et d'un talent d'or.
    
34. Et Pharaon Néco établit roi Éliakim, fils de Josias, à la place de Josias, son père, et il changea son nom en celui de Jojakim. Il prit Joachaz, qui alla en Égypte et y mourut.
    
35. Jojakim donna à Pharaon l'argent et l'or; mais il taxa le pays pour fournir cet argent, d'après l'ordre de Pharaon; il détermina la part de chacun et exigea du peuple du pays l'argent et l'or qu'il devait livrer à Pharaon Néco.
    

31. Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother's name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.
    
32. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his fathers had done.
    
33. Pharaoh Neco put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and he imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
    
34. Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim's name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, and there he died.
    
35. Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Neco the silver and gold he demanded. In order to do so, he taxed the land and exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land according to their assessments.
    

36. ^이여호야김이 王(왕)이 될 때에 나이 二十五歲(이십오세)라 예루살렘에서 十一年(십일년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 스비다라 루마 브다야의 딸이더라
    
37. 여호야김이 그 列祖(열조)의 모든 行(행)한 일을 本(본)받아 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더라
