1. 兄弟(형제)들아 ^ㄷ때와 時期(시기)에 關(관)하여는 ^ㄹ너희에게 쓸 것이 없음은
   
2. ^ㅁ主(주)의 날이 밤에 盜賊(도적)같이 이를 줄을 너희 自身(자신)이 仔細(자세)히 앎이라
   
3. 저희가 平安(평안)하다, 安全(안전)하다 할 그 때에 ^ㅂ孕胎(잉태)된 女子(녀자)에게 解産(해산) 苦痛(고통)이 이름과 같이 ^ㅅ滅亡(멸망)이 忽然(홀연)히 저희에게 이르리니 決斷(결단)코 避(피)하지 못하리라
   
4. 兄弟(형제)들아 너희는 ^ㅇ어두움에 있지 아니하매 그 날이 盜賊(도적)같이 너희에게 臨(임)하지 못하리니
   
5. 너희는 다 ^ㅈ빛의 아들이요 낮의 아들이라 우리가 밤이나 어두움에 屬(속)하지 아니하나니
   

1. Von den Zeiten aber und "Stunden," liebe "Brüder," ist nicht not euch zu schreiben;
   
2. denn ihr selbst wisset "gewiß," daß der Tag des HERRN wird kommen wie ein Dieb in der Nacht.
   
3. Denn sie werden sagen: Es ist "Friede," es hat keine "Gefahr," so wird sie das Verderben schnell "überfallen," gleichwie der Schmerz ein schwangeres "Weib," und werden nicht entfliehen.
   
4. Ihr "aber," liebe "Brüder," seid nicht in der "Finsternis," daß euch der Tag wie ein Dieb ergreife.
   
5. Ihr seid allzumal Kinder des Lichtes und Kinder des Tages; wir sind nicht von der Nacht noch von der Finsternis.
   

1. Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,
   
2. for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
   
3. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
   
4. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
   
5. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
   

6. 그러므로 우리는 ^ㅊ다른 이들과 같이 자지 말고 오직 ^ㅋ깨어 ^ㅌ謹愼(근신)할지라
   
7. 자는 者(자)들은 밤에 자고 醉(취)하는 者(자)들은 ^ㅍ밤에 醉(취)하되
   
8. 우리는 낮에 屬(속)하였으니 謹愼(근신)하여 ^ㅎ믿음과 사랑의 ^ㅏ胸背(흉배)를 붙이고 救援(구원)의 所望(소망)의 투구를 쓰자
   
9. 하나님이 우리를 세우심은 ^ㅑ怒(노)하심에 이르게 하심이 아니요 오직 우리 主(주) 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 ^ㅓ救援(구원)을 얻게 하신 것이라
   
10. ^ㅕ예수께서 우리를 爲(위)하여 죽으사 우리로 하여금 깨든지 자든지 自己(자기)와 함께 살게 하려 하셨느니라
    

6. So lasset uns nun nicht schlafen wie die "andern," sondern lasset uns wachen und nüchtern sein.
   
7. Denn die da "schlafen," die schlafen des "Nachts," und die da trunken "sind," die sind des Nachts trunken;
   
8. wir "aber," die wir des Tages "sind," sollen nüchtern "sein," angetan mit dem Panzer des Glaubens und der Liebe und mit dem Helm der Hoffnung zur Seligkeit.
   
9. Denn Gott hat uns nicht gesetzt zum "Zorn," sondern die Seligkeit zu besitzen durch unsern HERRN Jesus "Christus,"
   
10. der für uns alle gestorben "ist," auf "daß," wir wachen oder "schlafen," wir zugleich mit ihm leben sollen.
    

6. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.
   
7. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.
   
8. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
   
9. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
   
10. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.
    

11. 그러므로 ^ㅗ彼此(피차) 勸勉(권면)하고 彼此(피차) 德(덕)을 세우기를 너희가 하는 것같이 하라
    
12. 兄弟(형제)들아 우리가 너희에게 求(구)하노니 ^ㅛ너희 가운데서 受苦(수고)하고 ^ㅜ主(주) 안에서 너희를 다스리며 勸(권)하는 者(자)들을 너희가 알고
    
13. 저의 役事(역사)로 말미암아 사랑 안에서 가장 貴(귀)히 여기며 ^ㅠ너희끼리 和睦(화목)하라
    
14. 또 兄弟(형제)들아 너희를 勸勉(권면)하노니 ^으規模(규모)없는 者(자)들을 勸戒(권계)하며 ^이마음이 弱(약)한 者(자)들을 安慰(안위)하고 ^ㅐ힘이 없는 者(자)들을 붙들어 주며 ^ㄱ모든 사람을 對(대)하여 오래 참으라
    
15. 삼가 누가 ^ㄴ누구에게든지 惡(악)으로 惡(악)을 갚지 말게 하고 오직 彼此(피차) 對(대)하든지 모든 사람을 對(대)하든지 ^ㄷ恒常(항상) 善(선)을 좇으라
    

11. Darum ermahnet euch untereinander und bauet einer den "andern," wie ihr denn tut.
    
12. Wir bitten aber "euch," liebe "Brüder," daß ihr "erkennet," die an euch arbeiten und euch vorstehen in dem HERRN und euch vermahnen;
    
13. habt sie desto lieber um ihres Werks willen und seid friedsam mit ihnen.
    
14. Wir ermahnen aber "euch," liebe "Brüder," vermahnet die "Ungezogenen," tröstet die "Kleinmütigen," traget die "Schwachen," seid geduldig gegen jedermann.
    
15. Sehet "zu," daß keiner Böses mit Bösem jemand vergelte; sondern allezeit jaget dem Guten "nach," untereinander und gegen jedermann.
    

11. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
    
12. Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you.
    
13. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
    
14. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
    
15. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
    

16. ^ㄹ恒常(항상) 기뻐하라
    
17. ^ㅁ쉬지 말고 祈禱(기도)하라
    
18. ^ㅂ凡事(범사)에 感謝(감사)하라 이는 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 向(향)하신 하나님의 뜻이니라
    
19. ^ㅅ聖靈(성령)을 消滅(소멸)치 말며
    
20. ^ㅇ豫言(예언)을 蔑視(멸시)치 말고
    

16. Seid allezeit "fröhlich,"
    
17. betet ohne "Unterlaß,"
    
18. seid dankbar in allen Dingen; denn das ist der Wille Gottes in Christo Jesu an euch.
    
19. Den Geist dämpfet "nicht,"
    
20. die Weissagung verachtet nicht;
    

16. Be joyful always;
    
17. pray continually;
    
18. give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
    
19. Do not put out the Spirit's fire;
    
20. do not treat prophecies with contempt.
    

21. ^ㅈ凡事(범사)에 헤아려 좋은 것을 取(취)하고
    
22. 惡(악)은 모든 模樣(모양)이라도 버리라
    
23. ^ㅊ平康(평강)의 하나님이 親(친)히 너희로 ^ㅋ穩全(온전)히 거룩하게 하시고 또 ^ㅌ너희 온 靈(영)과 魂(혼)과 몸이 ^ㅍ우리 主(주) 예수 그리스도 降臨(강림)하실 때에 ^ㅎ欠(흠)없게 保全(보전)되기를 願(원)하노라
    
24. ^ㅏ너희를 부르시는 이는 미쁘시니 ^ㅑ그가 또한 이루시리라
    
25. ^ㅓ兄弟(형제)들아 우리를 爲(위)하여 祈禱(기도)하라
    

21. prüfet aber "alles," und das Gute behaltet.
    
22. Meidet allen bösen Schein.
    
23. Er "aber," der Gott des "Friedens," heilige euch durch und "durch," und euer Geist ganz samt Seele und Leib müsse bewahrt werden unsträflich auf die Zukunft unsers HERRN Jesu Christi.
    
24. Getreu ist "er," der euch ruft; er wird's auch tun.
    
25. Liebe "Brüder," betet für uns.
    

21. Test everything. Hold on to the good.
    
22. Avoid every kind of evil.
    
23. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    
24. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
    
25. Brothers, pray for us.
    

26. 거룩하게 입맞춤으로 ^ㅕ모든 兄弟(형제)에게 問安(문안)하라
    
27. 내가 主(주)를 힘입어 너희를 命(명)하노니 ^ㅗ모든 兄弟(형제)에게 이 便紙(편지)를 읽어 들리라
    
28. ^ㅛ우리 主(주) 예수 그리스도의 恩惠(은혜)가 너희에게 있을지어다
    

26. Grüßet alle Brüder mit dem heiligen Kuß.
    
27. Ich beschwöre euch bei dem "HERRN," daß ihr diesen Brief lesen lasset vor allen heiligen Brüdern.
    
28. Die Gnade unsers HERRN Jesu Christi sei mit euch! Amen. {~}
