1. ^이이 모든 忠誠(충성)된 일 後(후)에 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립이 유다에 들어와서 堅固(견고)한 城邑(성읍)들을 向(향)하여 陣(진)을 치고 쳐서 取(취)하고자 한지라
   
2. 히스기야가 산헤립이 예루살렘을 치러 온 것을 보고
   
3. 그 方伯(방백)들과 勇士(용사)들로 더불어 議論(의논)하고 城(성) 밖에 모든 물 根源(근원)을 막고자 하매 저희가 돕더라
   
4. 이에 百姓(백성)이 많이 모여 모든 물 根源(근원)과 ^ㅐ땅으로 흘러가는 시내를 막고 이르되 어찌 앗수르 王(왕)들로 와서 많은 물을 얻게 하리요 하고
   
5. 히스기야가 勢力(세력)을 내어 ^ㄱ頹落(퇴락)한 城(성)을 重修(중수)하되 望臺(망대)까지 높이 쌓고 또 外城(외성)을 쌓고 ^ㄴ다윗 城(성)의 밀로를 堅固(견고)케 하고 兵器(병기)와 防牌(방패)를 많이 만들고
   

1. Après ces choses et ces actes de fidélité, parut Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, qui pénétra en Juda, et assiégea les villes fortes, dans l'intention de s'en emparer.
   
2. Ézéchias, voyant que Sanchérib était venu et qu'il se proposait d'attaquer Jérusalem,
   
3. tint conseil avec ses chefs et ses hommes vaillants, afin de boucher les sources d'eau qui étaient hors de la ville; et ils furent de son avis.
   
4. Une foule de gens se rassemblèrent, et ils bouchèrent toutes les sources et le ruisseau qui coule au milieu de la contrée. Pourquoi, disaient-ils, les rois d'Assyrie trouveraient-ils à leur arrivée des eaux en abondance?
   
5. Ézéchias prit courage; il reconstruisit la muraille qui était en ruine et l'éleva jusqu'aux tours, bâtit un autre mur en dehors, fortifia Millo dans la cité de David, et prépara une quantité d'armes et de boucliers.
   

1. After all that Hezekiah had so faithfully done, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified cities, thinking to conquer them for himself.
   
2. When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and that he intended to make war on Jerusalem,
   
3. he consulted with his officials and military staff about blocking off the water from the springs outside the city, and they helped him.
   
4. A large force of men assembled, and they blocked all the springs and the stream that flowed through the land. "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find plenty of water?" they said.
   
5. Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the supporting terraces of the City of David. He also made large numbers of weapons and shields.
   

6. 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관)들을 세워 百姓(백성)을 거느리게 하고 城門(성문) 廣場(광장) 自己(자기)에게로 무리를 모으고 ^ㄷ말로 慰勞(위로)하여 가로되
   
7. 너희는 ^ㄹ마음을 强(강)하게 하며 膽大(담대)히 하고 앗수르 王(왕)과 그 좇는 온 무리로 因(인)하여 ^ㅁ두려워 말며 놀라지 말라 ^ㅂ우리와 함께 하는 者(자)가 저와 함께 하는 者(자)보다 크니
   
8. 저와 함께하는 者(자)는 ^ㅅ肉身(육신)의 팔이요 ^ㅇ우리와 함께하는 者(자)는 우리의 하나님 여호와시라 반드시 우리를 도우시고 우리를 代身(대신)하여 싸우시리라 하매 百姓(백성)이 유다 王(왕) 히스기야의 말로 因(인)하여 安心(안심)하니라
   
9. 그 後(후)에 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립이 그 온 軍隊(군대)를 거느리고 라기스를 치며 그 信服(신복)을 예루살렘에 보내어 유다 王(왕) 히스기야와 예루살렘에 있는 유다 무리에게 告(고)하여 이르기를
   
10. 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립은 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘에 에워싸여 있으면서 무엇을 依賴(의뢰)하느냐
    

6. Il donna des chefs militaires au peuple, et les réunit auprès de lui sur la place de la porte de la ville. S'adressant à leur coeur, il dit:
   
7. Fortifiez-vous et ayez du courage! Ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés devant le roi d'Assyrie et devant toute la multitude qui est avec lui; car avec nous il y a plus qu'avec lui.
   
8. Avec lui est un bras de chair, et avec nous l'Éternel, notre Dieu, qui nous aidera et qui combattra pour nous. Le peuple eut confiance dans les paroles d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda.
   
9. Après cela, Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, envoya ses serviteurs à Jérusalem, pendant qu'il était devant Lakis avec toutes ses forces; il les envoya vers Ézéchias, roi de Juda, et vers tous ceux de Juda qui étaient à Jérusalem, pour leur dire:
   
10. Ainsi parle Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie: Sur quoi repose votre confiance, pour que vous restiez à Jérusalem dans la détresse?
    

6. He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate and encouraged them with these words:
   
7. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.
   
8. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.
   
9. Later, when Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his forces were laying siege to Lachish, he sent his officers to Jerusalem with this message for Hezekiah king of Judah and for all the people of Judah who were there:
   
10. "This is what Sennacherib king of Assyria says: On what are you basing your confidence, that you remain in Jerusalem under siege?
    

11. 히스기야가 너희를 꾀어 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 앗수르 王(왕)의 손에서 건져내시리라 하거니와 이 어찌 너희로 주림과 목마름으로 죽게 함이 아니냐
    
12. ^ㅈ이 히스기야가 여호와의 山堂(산당)들과 壇(단)들을 除(제)하여 버리고 유다와 예루살렘에 命(명)하여 이르기를 너희는 다만 한 壇(단) 앞에서 敬拜(경배)하고 그 위에 焚香(분향)하라 하지 아니하였느냐
    
13. 나와 내 列祖(열조)가 異邦(이방) 모든 百姓(백성)에게 行(행)한 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 列邦(열방)의 神(신)들이 能(능)히 그 땅을 나의 손에서 건져 낼수 있었느냐
    
14. 나의 列祖(열조)가 殄滅(진멸)한 列國(렬국)의 그 모든 神(신) 中(중)에 누가 能(능)히 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 건져 내었기에 너희 하나님이 能(능)히 너희를 내 손에서 건지겠느냐
    
15. 그런즉 이와 같이 히스기야에게 속지 말라 꾀임을 받지 말라 저를 믿지도 말라 아무 百姓(백성)이나 아무 나라의 神(신)도 能(능)히 그 百姓(백성)을 나의 손과 나의 列祖(열조)의 손에서 건져내지 못하였나니 하물며 너희 하나님이 너희를 내 손에서 건져 내겠느냐 하였더라
    

11. Ézéchias ne vous abuse-t-il pas pour vous livrer à la mort par la famine et par la soif, quand il dit: L'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous sauvera de la main du roi d'Assyrie?
    
12. N'est-ce pas lui, Ézéchias, qui a fait disparaître les hauts lieux et les autels de l'Éternel, et qui a donné cet ordre à Juda et à Jérusalem: Vous vous prosternerez devant un seul autel, et vous y offrirez les parfums?
    
13. Ne savez-vous pas ce que nous avons fait, moi et mes pères, à tous les peuples des autres pays? Les dieux des nations de ces pays ont-ils pu délivrer leurs pays de ma main?
    
14. Parmi tous les dieux de ces nations que mes pères ont exterminées, quel est celui qui a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main, pour que votre Dieu puisse vous délivrer de ma main?
    
15. Qu'Ézéchias ne vous séduise donc point et qu'il ne vous abuse point ainsi; ne vous fiez pas à lui! Car aucun dieu d'aucune nation ni d'aucun royaume n'a pu délivrer son peuple de ma main et de la main de mes pères: combien moins votre Dieu vous délivrera-t-il de ma main?
    

11. When Hezekiah says, 'The LORD our God will save us from the hand of the king of Assyria,' he is misleading you, to let you die of hunger and thirst.
    
12. Did not Hezekiah himself remove this god's high places and altars, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, 'You must worship before one altar and burn sacrifices on it'?
    
13. "Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?
    
14. Who of all the gods of these nations that my fathers destroyed has been able to save his people from me? How then can your god deliver you from my hand?
    
15. Now do not let Hezekiah deceive you and mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your god deliver you from my hand!"
    

16. 산헤립의 信服(신복)들도 더욱 여호와 하나님과 그 종 히스기야를 誹謗(비방)하였으며
    
17. 산헤립이 또 便紙(편지)를 써서 보내어 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 辱(욕)하고 誹謗(비방)하여 이르기를 列邦(열방)의 神(신)들이 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내지 못한 것 같이 히스기야의 神(신)들도 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내지 못하리라 하고
    
18. 산헤립의 臣下(신하)가 유다 方言(방언)으로 크게 소리질러 예루살렘 城(성) 위에 있는 百姓(백성)을 놀라게 하고 괴롭게 하여 그 城(성)을 取(취)하려 하였는데
    
19. 저희가 예루살렘의 하나님을 毁謗(훼방)하기를 사람의 손으로 지은 世上(세상) 百姓(백성)의 神(신)들을 毁謗(훼방)하듯 하였더라
    
20. 이러므로 히스기야 王(왕)이 아모스의 아들 先知者(선지자) 이사야로 더불어 하늘을 向(향)하여 부르짖어 祈禱(기도)하였더니
    

16. Les serviteurs de Sanchérib parlèrent encore contre l'Éternel Dieu, et contre Ézéchias, son serviteur.
    
17. Et il envoya une lettre insultante pour l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, en s'exprimant ainsi contre lui: De même que les dieux des nations des autres pays n'ont pu délivrer leur peuple de ma main, de même le Dieu d'Ézéchias ne délivrera pas son peuple de ma main.
    
18. Les serviteurs de Sanchérib crièrent à haute voix en langue judaïque, afin de jeter l'effroi et l'épouvante parmi le peuple de Jérusalem qui était sur la muraille, et de pouvoir ainsi s'emparer de la ville.
    
19. Ils parlèrent du Dieu de Jérusalem comme des dieux des peuples de la terre, ouvrages de mains d'homme.
    
20. Le roi Ézéchias et le prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, se mirent à prier à ce sujet, et ils crièrent au ciel.
    

16. Sennacherib's officers spoke further against the LORD God and against his servant Hezekiah.
    
17. The king also wrote letters insulting the LORD, the God of Israel, and saying this against him: "Just as the gods of the peoples of the other lands did not rescue their people from my hand, so the god of Hezekiah will not rescue his people from my hand."
    
18. Then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city.
    
19. They spoke about the God of Jerusalem as they did about the gods of the other peoples of the world--the work of men's hands.
    
20. King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to heaven about this.
    

21. 여호와께서 한 天使(천사)를 보내어 앗수르 王(왕)의 營(영)에서 모든 큰 勇士(용사)와 大將(대장)과 長官(장관)들을 滅(멸)하신지라 앗수르 王(왕)이 ^ㅊ얼굴이 뜨뜻하여 그 故國(고국)으로 돌아갔더니 그 神(신)의 殿(전)에 들어갔을 때에 그 몸에서 난 者(자)들이 거기서 칼로 죽였더라
    
22. 이와 같이 여호와께서 히스기야와 예루살렘 居民(거민)을 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립의 손과 모든 敵國(적국)의 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내사 四面(사면)으로 保護(보호)하시매
    
23. 여러 사람이 ^ㅋ禮物(예물)을 가지고 예루살렘에 와서 여호와께 드리고 또 寶物(보물)로 유다 王(왕) 히스기야에게 드린지라 이 後(후)부터 히스기야가 列國(렬국)의 눈에 尊待(존대)하게 되었더라
    
24. ^ㅌ그 때에 히스기야가 病(병)들어 죽게 된 故(고)로 여호와께 祈禱(기도)하매 여호와께서 그에게 對答(대답)하시고 또 異蹟(이적)으로 보이셨으나
    
25. 히스기야가 ^ㅍ마음이 驕慢(교만)하여 ^ㅎ그 받은 恩惠(은혜)를 報答(보답)지 아니하므로 ^ㅏ震怒(진노)가 저와 유다와 예루살렘에 臨(임)하게 되었더니
    

21. Alors l'Éternel envoya un ange, qui extermina dans le camp du roi d'Assyrie tous les vaillants hommes, les princes et les chefs. Et le roi confus retourna dans son pays. Il entra dans la maison de son dieu, et là ceux qui étaient sortis de ses entrailles le firent tomber par l'épée.
    
22. Ainsi l'Éternel sauva Ézéchias et les habitants de Jérusalem de la main de Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, et de la main de tous, et il les protégea contre ceux qui les entouraient.
    
23. Beaucoup de gens apportèrent dans Jérusalem des offrandes à l'Éternel, et de riches présents à Ézéchias, roi de Juda, qui depuis lors fut élevé aux yeux de toutes les nations.
    
24. En ce temps-là, Ézéchias fut malade à la mort. Il fit une prière à l'Éternel; et l'Éternel lui adressa la parole, et lui accorda un prodige.
    
25. Mais Ézéchias ne répondit point au bienfait qu'il avait reçu, car son coeur s'éleva; et la colère de l'Éternel fut sur lui, sur Juda et sur Jérusalem.
    

21. And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword.
    
22. So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Assyria and from the hand of all others. He took care of them on every side.
    
23. Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for Hezekiah king of Judah. From then on he was highly regarded by all the nations.
    
24. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign.
    
25. But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the LORD'S wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
    

26. ^ㅑ히스기야가 마음의 驕慢(교만)함을 뉘우치고 예루살렘 居民(거민)들도 그와 같이 하였으므로 여호와의 怒(노)가 히스기야의 生前(생전)에는 저희에게 臨(임)하지 아니하니라
    
27. 히스기야가 富(부)와 榮光(영광)이 極(극)한지라 이에 銀(은),金(금)과, 寶石(보석)과, 香品(향품)과, 防牌(방패)와, 온갖 ^ㅓ보배로운 그릇들을 爲(위)하여 國庫(국고)를 세우매
    
28. 穀食(곡식)과 새 葡萄酒(포도주)와 기름의 産物(산물)을 爲(위)하여 倉庫(창고)를 세우며 온갖 짐승의 외양간을 세우며 羊(양)떼의 우리를 갖추며
    
29. 羊(양)떼와 많은 소떼를 爲(위)하여 城邑(성읍)들을 세웠으니 이는 하나님이 저에게 財産(재산)을 甚(심)히 많이 주셨음이며
    
30. 이 히스기야가 또 ^ㅕ기혼의 윗 샘물을 ^ㅗ막아 그 아래로 좇아 다윗 城(성) 西便(서편)으로 곧게 引導(인도)하였으니 저의 모든 일이 亨通(형통)하였더라
    

26. Alors Ézéchias, du sein de son orgueil, s'humilia avec les habitants de Jérusalem, et la colère de l'Éternel ne vint pas sur eux pendant la vie d'Ézéchias.
    
27. Ézéchias eut beaucoup de richesses et de gloire. Il se fit des trésors d'argent, d'or, de pierres précieuses, d'aromates, de boucliers et de tous les objets qu'on peut désirer;
    
28. des magasins pour les produits en blé, en moût et en huile, des crèches pour toute espèce de bétail, et des étables pour les troupeaux.
    
29. Il se bâtit des villes, et il eut en abondance des troupeaux de menu et de gros bétail; car Dieu lui avait donné des biens considérables.
    
30. Ce fut aussi lui, Ézéchias, qui boucha l'issue supérieure des eaux de Guihon, et les conduisit en bas vers l'occident de la cité de David. Ézéchias réussit dans toutes ses entreprises.
    

26. Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the LORD'S wrath did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.
    
27. Hezekiah had very great riches and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver and gold and for his precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuables.
    
28. He also made buildings to store the harvest of grain, new wine and oil; and he made stalls for various kinds of cattle, and pens for the flocks.
    
29. He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.
    
30. It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Gihon spring and channeled the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook.
    

31. 그러나 ^ㅛ바벨론 方伯(방백)들이 히스기야에게 使者(사자)를 보내어 ^ㅜ그 땅에서 나타난 異蹟(이적)을 물을 때에 하나님이 히스기야를 떠나시고 그 心中(심중)에 있는 것을 다 알고자 하사 ^ㅠ試驗(시험)하셨더라
    
32. 히스기야의 남은 行蹟(행적)과 그 모든 善(선)한 일이 아모스의 아들 先知者(선지자) ^으이사야의 默示冊(묵시책)과 ^이유다와 이스라엘 列王記(열왕기)에 記錄(기록)되니라
    
33. 히스기야가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 자매 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)이 저를 ^ㅐ다윗 子孫(자손)의 墓室(묘실) 中(중) 높은 곳에 葬事(장사)하여 저의 죽음에 尊敬(존경)함을 表(표)하였더라 그 아들 므낫세가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
    

31. Cependant, lorsque les chefs de Babylone envoyèrent des messagers auprès de lui pour s'informer du prodige qui avait eu lieu dans le pays, Dieu l'abandonna pour l'éprouver, afin de connaître tout ce qui était dans son coeur.
    
32. Le reste des actions d'Ézéchias, et ses oeuvres de piété, cela est écrit dans la vision du prophète Ésaïe, fils d'Amots, dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël.
    
33. Ézéchias se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra dans le lieu le plus élevé des sépulcres des fils de David; tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem lui rendirent honneur à sa mort. Et Manassé, son fils, régna à sa place.
    

31. But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.
    
32. The other events of Hezekiah's reign and his acts of devotion are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
    
33. Hezekiah rested with his fathers and was buried on the hill where the tombs of David's descendants are. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him when he died. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.
