1. 그 後(후)에 ^ㄹ모압 子孫(자손)과 암몬 子孫(자손)이 몇 마온 사람과 함께와서 여호사밧을 치고자 한지라
   
2. 或(혹)이 와서 여호사밧에게 告(고)하여 가로되 큰 무리가 바다 저便(편) 아람에서 王(왕)을 치러 오는데 이제 ^ㅁ하사손다말 곧 ^ㅂ엔게디에 있나이다
   
3. 여호사밧이 두려워하여 ^ㅅ여호와께로 낯을 向(향)하여 懇求(간구)하고 ^ㅇ온 유다 百姓(백성)에게 禁食(금식)하라 公布(공포)하매
   
4. 유다 사람이 여호와께 도우심을 求(구)하려 하여 유다 모든 城邑(성읍)에서 모여와서 여호와께 懇求(간구)하더라
   
5. 여호사밧이 여호와의 殿(전) 새 뜰 앞에서 유다와 예루살렘의 會衆(회중) 가운데 서서
   

1. Après cela, les fils de Moab et les fils d'Ammon, et avec eux des Maonites, marchèrent contre Josaphat pour lui faire la guerre.
   
2. On vint en informer Josaphat, en disant: Une multitude nombreuse s'avance contre toi depuis l'autre côté de la mer, depuis la Syrie, et ils sont à Hatsatson Thamar, qui est En Guédi.
   
3. Dans sa frayeur, Josaphat se disposa à chercher l'Éternel, et il publia un jeûne pour tout Juda.
   
4. Juda s'assembla pour invoquer l'Éternel, et l'on vint de toutes les villes de Juda pour chercher l'Éternel.
   
5. Josaphat se présenta au milieu de l'assemblée de Juda et de Jérusalem, dans la maison de l'Éternel, devant le nouveau parvis.
   

1. After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat.
   
2. Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, "A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar" (that is, En Gedi).
   
3. Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.
   
4. The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him.
   
5. Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard
   

6. 가로되 우리 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와여 主(주)는 ^ㅈ하늘에서 하나님이 아니시니이까 ^ㅊ異邦(이방) 사람의 모든 나라를 다스리지 아니하시나이까 ^ㅋ主(주)의 손에 權勢(권세)와 能力(능력)이 있사오니 能(능)히 막을 사람이 없나이다
   
7. 우리 하나님이시여 ^ㅌ前(전)에 이 땅 居民(거민)을 主(주)의 百姓(백성) 이스라엘 앞에서 쫓아내시고 그 땅으로 主(주)의 벗 ^ㅍ아브라함의 子孫(자손)에게 永永(영영)히 주지 아니하셨나이까
   
8. 저희가 이 땅에 居(거)하여 主(주)의 이름을 爲(위)하여 한 聖所(성소)를 建築(건축)하고 이르기를
   
9. ^ㅎ萬一(만일) 災殃(재앙)이나, 亂離(란리)나, 譴責(견책)이나, 瘟疫(온역)이나, 饑饉(기근)이 우리에게 臨(임)하면 ^ㅏ主(주)의 이름이 이 殿(전)에 있으니 ^ㅑ우리가 이 殿(전) 앞과 主(주)의 앞에 서서 이 患難(환난) 가운데서 主(주)께 부르짖은즉 들으시고 救援(구원)하시리라 하였나이다
   
10. 옛적에 이스라엘이 애굽 땅에서 나올 때에 ^ㅓ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압 子孫(자손)과 ^ㅕ세일山(산) 사람을 ^ㅗ侵擄(침노)하기를 主(주)께서 容納(용납)하지 아니하시므로 ^ㅛ이에 치우쳐 저희를 떠나고 滅(멸)하지 아니하였거늘
    

6. Et il dit: Éternel, Dieu de nos pères, n'es-tu pas Dieu dans les cieux, et n'est-ce pas toi qui domines sur tous les royaumes des nations? N'est-ce pas toi qui as en main la force et la puissance, et à qui nul ne peut résister?
   
7. N'est-ce pas toi, ô notre Dieu, qui as chassé les habitants de ce pays devant ton peuple d'Israël, et qui l'as donné pour toujours à la postérité d'Abraham qui t'aimait?
   
8. Ils l'ont habité, et ils t'y ont bâti un sanctuaire pour ton nom, en disant:
   
9. S'il nous survient quelque calamité, l'épée, le jugement, la peste ou la famine, nous nous présenterons devant cette maison et devant toi, car ton nom est dans cette maison, nous crierons à toi du sein de notre détresse, et tu exauceras et tu sauveras!
   
10. Maintenant 芰̊ 芰̊ 搰ʯ ʥ 茘̊ 苐̊ 䀀 苐̊ tagne de Séir, chez lesquels tu n'as pas permis à Israël d'entrer quand il venait du pays d'Égypte, #NAME? il s'est détourné d'eux et ne les a pas détruits, -
    

6. and said: "O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.
   
7. O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?
   
8. They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying,
   
9. 'If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.'
   
10. "But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them.
    

11. 이제 저희가 우리에게 갚는 것을 보옵소서 ^ㅜ저희가 와서 主(주)께서 우리에게 주신 主(주)의 基業(기업)에서 우리를 쫓아 내고자 하나이다
    
12. 우리 하나님이여 ^ㅠ저희를 懲罰(징벌)하지 아니하시나이까 우리를 치러 오는 이 큰 무리를 우리가 對敵(대적)할 能力(능력)이 없고 어떻게 할 줄도 알지 못하옵고 ^으오직 主(주)만 바라보나이다 하고
    
13. 유다 모든 사람은 그 아내와 子女(자녀)와 어린 者(자)로 더불어 여호와 앞에 섰더라
    
14. ^이여호와의 神(신)이 會衆(회중) 가운데서 레위 사람 야하시엘에게 臨(임)하셨으니 저는 아삽 子孫(자손) 맛다냐의 玄孫(현손)이요, 여이엘의 曾孫(증손)이요, 브나야의 孫子(손자)요, 스가랴의 아들이더라
    
15. 야하시엘이 가로되 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 여호사밧 王(왕)이여 들을지어다 여호와께서 너희에게 말씀하시기를 ^ㅐ이 큰 무리로 因(인)하여 두려워하거나 놀라지 말라 ^ㄱ이 戰爭(전쟁)이 너희에게 屬(속)한 것이 아니요 하나님께 屬(속)한 것이니라
    

11. les voici qui nous récompensent en venant nous chasser de ton héritage, dont tu nous as mis en possession.
    
12. O notre Dieu, n'exerceras-tu pas tes jugements sur eux? Car nous sommes sans force devant cette multitude nombreuse qui s'avance contre nous, et nous ne savons que faire, mais nos yeux sont sur toi.
    
13. Tout Juda se tenait debout devant l'Éternel, avec leurs petits enfants, leurs femmes et leurs fils.
    
14. Alors l'esprit de l'Éternel saisit au milieu de l'assemblée Jachaziel, fils de Zacharie, fils de Benaja, fils de Jeïel, fils de Matthania, Lévite, d'entre les fils d'Asaph.
    
15. Et Jachaziel dit: Soyez attentifs, tout Juda et habitants de Jérusalem, et toi, roi Josaphat! Ainsi vous parle l'Éternel: Ne craignez point et ne vous effrayez point devant cette multitude nombreuse, car ce ne sera pas vous qui combattrez, ce sera Dieu.
    

11. See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance.
    
12. O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you."
    
13. All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD.
    
14. Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.
    
15. He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.
    

16. 來日(래일) 너희는 마주 내려 가라 저희가 시스 고개로 말미암아 올라오리니 너희가 ^ㄴ골짜기 어귀 여루엘 들 앞에서 만나려니와
    
17. ^ㄷ이 戰爭(전쟁)에는 너희가 싸울 것이 없나니 行伍(항오)를 이루고 서서 너희와 함께한 여호와가 救援(구원)하는 것을 보라, 유다와 예루살렘아 너희는 두려워하며 놀라지 말고 來日(래일) 저희를 마주 나가라 ^ㄹ여호와가 너희와 함께 하리라 하셨느니라 하매
    
18. 여호사밧이 ^ㅁ몸을 굽혀 얼굴을 땅에 대니 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들도 여호와 앞에 엎드려 敬拜(경배)하고
    
19. ^ㅂ그핫 子孫(자손)과 ^ㅅ고라 子孫(자손)에게 屬(속)한 레위 사람들은 서서 甚(심)히 큰 소리로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하니라
    
20. 이에 百姓(백성)들이 일찌기 일어나서 ^ㅇ드고아 들로 나가니라 나갈 때에 여호사밧이 서서 가로되 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)들아 내 말을 들을지어다 너희는 ^ㅈ너희 하나님 여호와를 信賴(신뢰)하라 그리하면 堅固(견고)히 서리라 그 先知者(선지자)를 信賴(신뢰)하라 그리하면 亨通(형통)하리라 하고
    

16. Demain, descendez contre eux; ils vont monter par la colline de Tsits, et vous les trouverez à l'extrémité de la vallée, en face du désert de Jeruel.
    
17. Vous n'aurez point à combattre en cette affaire: présentez-vous, tenez-vous là, et vous verrez la délivrance que l'Éternel vous accordera. Juda et Jérusalem, ne craignez point et ne vous effrayez point, demain, sortez à leur rencontre, et l'Éternel sera avec vous!
    
18. Josaphat s'inclina le visage contre terre, et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem tombèrent devant l'Éternel pour se prosterner en sa présence.
    
19. Les Lévites d'entre les fils des Kehathites et d'entre les fils des Koréites se levèrent pour célébrer d'une voix forte et haute l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
    
20. Le lendemain, ils se mirent en marche de grand matin pour le désert de Tekoa. A leur départ, Josaphat se présenta et dit: Écoutez-moi, Juda et habitants de Jérusalem! Confiez-vous en l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous serez affermis; confiez-vous en ses prophètes, et vous réussirez.
    

16. Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.
    
17. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'"
    
18. Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD.
    
19. Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with very loud voice.
    
20. Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."
    

21. 百姓(백성)으로 더불어 議論(의논)하고 노래하는 者(자)를 擇(택)하여 ^ㅊ거룩한 禮服(예복)을 입히고 軍隊(군대) 앞에서 行(행)하며 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하여 이르기를 ^ㅋ여호와께 感謝(감사)하세 그 慈悲(자비)하심이 永遠(영원)하도다 하게 하였더니
    
22. 그 노래와 讚頌(찬송)이 始作(시작)될 때에 ^ㅌ여호와께서 伏兵(복병)을 두어 유다를 치러 온 ^ㅍ암몬 子孫(자손)과 모압과 세일山(산) 사람을 치게 하시므로 저희가 敗(패)하였으니
    
23. 곧 암몬과 모압 子孫(자손)이 일어나 세일山(산) 居民(거민)을 쳐서 殄滅(진멸)하고 세일 居民(거민)을 滅(멸)한 後(후)에는 ^ㅎ저희가 彼此(피차)에 殺戮(살륙)하였더라
    
24. 유다 사람이 들 望臺(망대)에 이르러 그 무리를 본즉 땅에 엎드러진 屍體(시체)뿐이요 하나도 避(피)한 者(자)가 없는지라
    
25. 여호사밧과 그 百姓(백성)이 가서 敵軍(적군)의 物件(물건)을 取(취)할새 본즉 그 가운데에 財物(재물)과 衣服(의복)과 寶物(보물)이 많이 있는 故(고)로 各其(각기) 取(취)하는데 그 物件(물건)이 너무 많아 能(능)히 가져갈 수 없을만큼 많으므로 사흘 동안에 取(취)하고
    

21. Puis, d'accord avec le peuple, il nomma des chantres qui, revêtus d'ornements sacrés, et marchant devant l'armée, célébraient l'Éternel et disaient: Louez l'Éternel, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!
    
22. Au moment où l'on commençait les chants et les louanges, l'Éternel plaça une embuscade contre les fils d'Ammon et de Moab et ceux de la montagne de Séir, qui étaient venus contre Juda. Et ils furent battus.
    
23. Les fils d'Ammon et de Moab se jetèrent sur les habitants de la montagne de Séir pour les dévouer par interdit et les exterminer; et quand ils en eurent fini avec les habitants de Séir, ils s'aidèrent les uns les autres à se détruire.
    
24. Lorsque Juda fut arrivé sur la hauteur d'où l'on aperçoit le désert, ils regardèrent du côté de la multitude, et voici, c'étaient des cadavres étendus à terre, et personne n'avait échappé.
    
25. Josaphat et son peuple allèrent prendre leurs dépouilles; ils trouvèrent parmi les cadavres d'abondantes richesses et des objets précieux, et ils en enlevèrent tant qu'ils ne purent tout emporter. Ils mirent trois jours au pillage du butin, car il était considérable.
    

21. After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the 芰̊ 芰̊ 搰ʯ ʥ 茘̊ 苐̊ 䀀 苐̊ font size=3 color=#000000>As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.
    
22. The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.
    
23. When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped.
    
24. So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value--more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.
    

26. 第(제) 四日(사일)에 무리가 브라가 골짜기에 모여서 거기서 여호와를 頌祝(송축)한지라 그러므로 오늘날까지 그곳을 브라가 골짜기라 일컫더라
    
27. 유다와 예루살렘 모든 사람이 여호사밧을 先頭(선두)로 즐거이 예루살렘으로 돌아왔으니 ^ㅏ이는 여호와께서 저희로 그 敵軍(적군)을 이김을 因(인)하여 즐거워하게 하셨음이라
    
28. 무리가 琵琶(비파)와 竪琴(수금)과 나팔을 合奏(합주)하고 예루살렘에 이르러 여호와의 殿(전)에 나아가니라
    
29. ^ㅑ異邦(이방) 모든 나라가 여호와께서 이스라엘의 敵軍(적군)을 치셨다 함을 듣고 하나님을 두려워한故(고)로
    
30. 여호사밧의 나라가 泰平(태평)하였으니 ^ㅓ이는 그 하나님이 四方(사방)에서 저희에게 平康(평강)을 주셨음이더라
    

26. Le quatrième jour, ils s'assemblèrent dans la vallée de Beraca, où ils bénirent l'Éternel; c'est pourquoi ils appelèrent ce lieu vallée de Beraca, nom qui lui est resté jusqu'à ce jour.
    
27. Tous les hommes de Juda et de Jérusalem, ayant à leur tête Josaphat, partirent joyeux pour retourner à Jérusalem, car l'Éternel les avait remplis de joie en les délivrant de leurs ennemis.
    
28. Ils entrèrent à Jérusalem et dans la maison de l'Éternel, au son des luths, des harpes et des trompettes.
    
29. La terreur de l'Éternel s'empara de tous les royaumes des autres pays, lorsqu'ils apprirent que l'Éternel avait combattu contre les ennemis d'Israël.
    
30. Et le royaume de Josaphat fut tranquille, et son Dieu lui donna du repos de tous côtés.
    

26. On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah to this day.
    
27. Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies.
    
28. They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the LORD with harps and lutes and trumpets.
    
29. The fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.
    
30. And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.
    

31. ^ㅕ여호사밧이 유다 王(왕)이 되어 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 三十五歲(삼십오세)라 예루살렘에서 二十五年(이십오년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 아수바라 실히의 딸이더라
    
32. 여호사밧이 그 父親(부친) 아사의 길로 行(행)하여 돌이켜 떠나지 아니하고 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하였으나
    
33. ^ㅗ山堂(산당)은 廢(폐)하지 아니하였으므로 ^ㅛ百姓(백성)이 오히려 마음을 定(정)하여 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님께로 돌아오지 아니하였더라
    
34. 이 外(외)에 여호사밧의 始終(시종) 行蹟(행적)이 하나니의 아들 ^ㅜ예후의 글에 다 記錄(기록)되었고 ^ㅠ그 글은 이스라엘 列王記(열왕기)에 올랐더라
    
35. ^으유다 王(왕) 여호사밧이 나중에 이스라엘 王(왕) 아하시야와 交際(교제)하였는데 아하시야는 甚(심)히 惡(악)을 行(행)하는 者(자)이었더라
    

31. Josaphat régna sur Juda. Il avait trente-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna vingt-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Azuba, fille de Schilchi.
    
32. Il marcha dans la voie de son père Asa, et ne s'en détourna point, faisant ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel.
    
33. Seulement, les hauts lieux ne disparurent point, et le peuple n'avait point encore le coeur fermement attaché au Dieu de ses pères.
    
34. Le reste des actions de Josaphat, les premières et les dernières, cela est écrit dans les mémoires de Jéhu, fils de Hanani, lesquels sont insérés dans le livre des rois d'Israël.
    
35. Après cela, Josaphat, roi de Juda, s'associa avec le roi d'Israël, Achazia, dont la conduite était impie.
    

31. So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother's name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.
    
32. He walked in the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
    
33. The high places, however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their fathers.
    
34. The other events of Jehoshaphat's reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel.
    
35. Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who was guilty of wickedness.
    

36. 두 王(왕)이 서로 結合(결합)하고 배를 지어 ^이다시스로 보내고자 하여 에시온게벨에서 배를 지었더니
    
37. 마레사 사람 도다와후의 아들 엘리에셀이 여호사밧을 向(향)하여 豫言(예언)하여 가로되 ^ㅐ王(왕)이 아하시야와 交際(교제)하는 故(고)로 여호와께서 王(왕)의 지은 것을 破(파)하시리라 하더니 이에 그 배가 破傷(파상)하여 다시스로 가지 못하였더라
    

36. Il s'associa avec lui pour construire des navires destinés à aller à Tarsis, et ils firent les navires à Etsjon Guéber.
    
37. Alors Éliézer, fils de Dodava, de Maréscha, prophétisa contre Josaphat, et dit: Parce que tu t'es associé avec Achazia, l'Éternel détruit ton oeuvre. Et les navires furent brisés, et ne purent aller à Tarsis.
    

36. He agreed with him to construct a fleet of trading ships. After these were built at Ezion Geber,
    
37. Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, "Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made." The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.
