1. 아합의 아들 七十人(칠십인)이 ^ㄹ사마리아에 있는지라 예후가 便紙(편지)들을 써서 사마리아에 보내어 이스르엘 方伯(방백) 곧 長老(장로)들과 ^ㅁ아합의 여러 아들을 敎育(교육)하는 者(자)들에게 傳(전)하니 일렀으되
   
2. 너희 主(주)의 아들들이 너희와 함께 있고 또 兵車(병거)와 말과 堅固(견고)한 城(성)과 兵器(병기)가 너희에게 있으니 이 便紙(편지)가 너희에게 이르거든
   
3. 너희 主(주)의 아들들 中(중)에서 가장 어질고 正直(정직)한 者(자)를 擇(택)하여 그 아비의 위에 두고 너희 主(주)의 집을 爲(위)하여 싸우라 하였더라
   
4. 저희가 甚(심)히 두려워하여 가로되 두 王(왕)이 저를 當(당)치 못하였거든 우리가 어찌 當(당)하리요 하고
   
5. 宮內(궁내) 大臣(대신)과 府尹(부윤)과 長老(장로)들과 王子(왕자)를 敎育(교육)하는 者(자)들이 예후에게 말을 傳(전)하여 가로되 ^ㅂ우리는 當身(당신)의 종이라 무릇 命(명)하는 것을 우리가 行(행)하고 아무 사람이든지 王(왕)으로 세우지 아니하리니 當身(당신)의 所見(소견)에 좋은대로 行(행)하라 한지라
   

1. Ahab aber hatte siebzig Söhne zu Samaria. Und Jehu schrieb Briefe und sandte sie gen "Samaria," zu den Obersten der Stadt "(Jesreel)," zu den Ältesten und Vormündern "Ahabs," die lauteten also:
   
2. Wenn dieser Brief zu euch "kommt," bei denen eures Herrn Söhne sind und "Wagen," "Rosse," feste Städte und "Rüstung," {~}
   
3. so "sehet," welcher der Beste und geschickteste sei unter den Söhnen eures "Herrn," und setzet ihn auf seines Vaters Stuhl und streitet für eures Herrn Haus.
   
4. Sie aber fürchteten sich gar sehr und sprachen: "Siehe," zwei Könige konnten ihm nicht widerstehen; wie wollen wir denn stehen?
   
5. Und die über das Haus und über die Stadt waren und die Ältesten und Vormünder sandten hin zu Jehu und ließen ihm sagen: Wir sind deine Knechte: wir wollen alles "tun," was du uns sagst; wir wollen niemand zum König machen. Tue was dir gefällt.
   

1. Now there were in Samaria seventy sons of the house of Ahab. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria: to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders and to the guardians of Ahab's children. He said,
   
2. "As soon as this letter reaches you, since your master's sons are with you and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city and weapons,
   
3. choose the best and most worthy of your master's sons and set him on his father's throne. Then fight for your master's house."
   
4. But they were terrified and said, "If two kings could not resist him, how can we?"
   
5. So the palace administrator, the city governor, the elders and the guardians sent this message to Jehu: "We are your servants and we will do anything you say. We will not appoint anyone as king; you do whatever you think best."
   

6. 예후가 다시 저희에게 便紙(편지)를 부치니 일렀으되 萬一(만일) 너희가 내 便(편)이 되어 내 말을 들으려거든 너희 主(주)의 아들된 사람들의 머리를 取(취)하고 來日(래일) 이맘때에 이스르엘에 이르러 내게 나아오라 하였더라 王子(왕자) 七十人(칠십인)이 城中(성중)에서 그 敎育(교육)하는 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)들과 함께 있는 中(중)에
   
7. 便紙(편지)가 이르매 저희가 王子(왕자) 七十人(칠십인)을 잡아 沒收(몰수)히 ^ㅅ죽이고 그 머리를 광주리에 담아 이스르엘 예후에게로 보내니라
   
8. 使者(사자)가 와서 예후에게 告(고)하여 가로되 무리가 王子(왕자)들의 머리를 가지고 왔나이다 가로되 두 무더기로 쌓아 來日(래일) 아침까지 門(문) 어귀에 두라 하고
   
9. 이튿날 아침에 저가 나가 서서 뭇 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 너희는 義(의)롭도다 ^ㅇ나는 내 主(주)를 背叛(배반)하여 죽였거니와 이 여러 사람을 죽인 者(자)는 누구냐
   
10. 그런즉 너희는 알라 곧 여호와께서 ^ㅈ아합의 집에 對(대)하여 하신 말씀은 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라 여호와께서 그 종 ^ㅊ엘리야로 하신 말씀을 이제 이루셨도다 하니라
    

6. Da schrieb er den andern Brief an "sie," der lautete also: So ihr mein seid und meiner Stimme "gehorcht," so nehmet die Häupter von den "Männern," eures Herrn "Söhnen," und bringt sie zu mir morgen um diese Zeit gen Jesreel. (Der Söhne aber des Königs waren siebzig "Mann," und die Größten der Stadt zogen sie auf.)
   
7. Da nun der Brief zu ihnen "kam," nahmen sie des Königs Söhne und schlachteten die siebzig Männer und legten ihre Häupter in Körbe und schickten sie zu ihm gen Jesreel.
   
8. Und da der Bote kam und sagte es ihm an und sprach: Sie haben die Häupter der Königskinder "gebracht," sprach er: Legt sie auf zwei Haufen vor die Tür am Tor bis morgen.
   
9. Und des "Morgens," da er "ausging," trat er dahin und sprach zu allem Volk: Ihr seid ja gerecht. "Siehe," habe ich wider meinen Herrn einen Bund gemacht und ihn "erwürgt," wer hat denn diese alle geschlagen?
   
10. So erkennet ihr "ja," daß kein Wort des HERRN ist auf die Erde "gefallen," das der HERR geredet hat wider das Haus Ahab; und der HERR hat "getan," wie er geredet hat durch seinen Knecht Elia.
    

6. Then Jehu wrote them a second letter, saying, "If you are on my side and will obey me, take the heads of your master's sons and come to me in Jezreel by this time tomorrow." Now the royal princes, seventy of them, were with the leading men of the city, who were rearing them.
   
7. When the letter arrived, these men took the princes and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu in Jezreel.
   
8. When the messenger arrived, he told Jehu, "They have brought the heads of the princes." Then Jehu ordered, "Put them in two piles at the entrance of the city gate until morning."
   
9. The next morning Jehu went out. He stood before all the people and said, "You are innocent. It was I who conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?
   
10. Know then, that not a word the LORD has spoken against the house of Ahab will fail. The LORD has done what he promised through his servant Elijah."
    

11. 예후가 무릇 아합의 집에 屬(속)한 이스르엘에 남아 있는 者(자)를 다 죽이고 또 그 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)와 가까운 親舊(친구)와 祭司長(제사장)들을 죽이되 저에게 屬(속)한 者(자)를 하나도 남기지 아니하였더라
    
12. 예후가 일어나서 사마리아로 가더니 路中(노중)에 牧者(목자)가 羊(양)털 깎는 집에 이르러
    
13. 유다 王(왕) ^ㅋ아하시야의 兄弟(형제)들을 만나 묻되 너희는 누구냐 對答(대답)하되 우리는 아하시야의 兄弟(형제)라 이제 王子(왕자)들과 太后(태후)의 아들들에게 問安(문안)하러 내려가노라
    
14. 가로되 사로잡으라 하매 곧 사로잡아 牧者(목자)가 羊(양)털 깎는 집 웅덩이 곁에서 죽이니 四十二人(사십이인)이 하나도 남지 아니하였더라
    
15. 예후가 거기서 떠나가다가 ^ㅌ레갑의 아들 ^ㅍ여호나답이 맞으러 오는 것을 만난지라 그 安否(안부)를 묻고 가로되 내 마음이 네 마음을 向(향)하여 眞實(진실)함과 같이 네 마음도 眞實(진실)하냐 여호나답이 對答(대답)하되 그러하니이다 가로되 그러면 ^ㅎ나와 손을 잡자 손을 잡으니 예후가 끌어 兵車(병거)에 올리며
    

11. Also schlug Jehu alle übrigen vom Hause Ahab zu "Jesreel," alle seine "Großen," seine Verwandten und seine "Priester," bis daß ihm nicht einer übrigblieb;
    
12. und machte sich "auf," zog hin und kam gen Samaria. Unterwegs aber war ein Hirtenhaus. {~} {~}
    
13. Da traf Jehu an die Brüder "Ahasjas," des Königs "Juda's," und sprach: Wer seid ihr? Sie sprachen: Wir sind Brüder Ahasjas und ziehen "hinab," zu grüßen des Königs Kinder und der Königin Kinder.
    
14. Er aber sprach: Greifet sie lebendig! Und sie griffen sie lebendig und schlachteten sie bei dem Brunnen am "Hirtenhaus," zweiundvierzig "Mann," und ließen nicht einen von ihnen übrig.
    
15. Und da er von dannen "zog," fand er "Jonadab," den Sohn "Rechabs," der ihm begegnete. Und er grüßte ihn und sprach zu ihm: Ist dein Herz richtig wie mein Herz mit deinem Herzen? Jonadab sprach: Ja. Ist's "also," so gib mir deine Hand! Und er gab ihm seine Hand! Und er ließ ihn zu sich auf den Wagen sitzen
    

11. So Jehu killed everyone in Jezreel who remained of the house of Ahab, as well as all his chief men, his close friends and his priests, leaving him no survivor.
    
12. Jehu then set out and went toward Samaria. At Beth Eked of the Shepherds,
    
13. he met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked, "Who are you?" They said, "We are relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come down to greet the families of the king and of the queen mother."
    
14. "Take them alive!" he ordered. So they took them alive and slaughtered them by the well of Beth Eked--forty-two men. He left no survivor.
    
15. After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Recab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said, "Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?" "I am," Jehonadab answered. "If so," said Jehu, "give me your hand." So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.
    

16. 가로되 나와 함께 가서 여호와를 爲(위)한 ^ㅏ나의 熱心(열심)을 보라 하고 이에 自己(자기) 兵車(병거)에 태우고
    
17. 사마리아에 이르러 거기 남아있는바 ^ㅑ아합에게 屬(속)한 者(자)를 죽여 殄滅(진멸)하였으니 여호와께서 엘리야에게 이르신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
    
18. 예후가 뭇 百姓(백성)을 모으고 이르되 ^ㅓ아합은 바알을 조금 섬겼으나 예후는 많이 섬기리라
    
19. 그러므로 내가 이제 큰 祭祀(제사)를 바알에게 드리고자 하노니 ^ㅕ바알의 모든 先知者(선지자)와 모든 섬기는 者(자)와 모든 祭司長(제사장)들을 한 사람도 빠치지 말고 불러 내게로 나오게 하라 무릇 오지 아니하는 者(자)는 살리지 아니하리라 하니 이는 예후가 바알 섬기는 者(자)를 滅(멸)하려 하여 詭計(궤계)를 씀이라
    
20. 예후가 ^ㅗ바알을 爲(위)하는 大會(대회)를 ^ㅛ거룩히 열라 하매 ^ㅜ드디어 公布(공포)하였더라
    

16. und sprach: Komm mit mir und siehe meinen Eifer um den HERRN! Und sie führten ihn mit ihm auf seinem Wagen.
    
17. Und da er gen Samaria "kam," schlug er "alles," was übrig war von Ahab zu "Samaria," bis daß er ihn vertilgte nach dem Wort des "HERRN," das er zu Elia geredet hatte.
    
18. Und Jehu versammelt alles Volk und ließ ihnen sagen: Ahab hat Baal wenig gedient; Jehu will ihm besser dienen.
    
19. So laßt nun rufen alle Propheten "Baals," alle seine Knechte und alle seine Priester zu "mir," daß man niemand vermisse; denn ich habe ein großes Opfer dem Baal zu tun. Wen man vermissen "wird," der soll nicht leben. Aber Jehu tat solches mit "Hinterlist," daß er die Diener Baals umbrächte.
    
20. Und Jehu sprach: Heiligt dem Baal das Fest! Und sie ließen es ausrufen.
    

16. Jehu said, "Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD." Then he had him ride along in his chariot.
    
17. When Jehu came to Samaria, he killed all who were left there of Ahab's family; he destroyed them, according to the word of the LORD spoken to Elijah.
    
18. Then Jehu brought all the people together and said to them, "Ahab served Baal a little; Jehu will serve him much.
    
19. Now summon all the prophets of Baal, all his ministers and all his priests. See that no one is missing, because I am going to hold a great sacrifice for Baal. Anyone who fails to come will no longer live." But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the ministers of Baal.
    
20. Jehu said, "Call an assembly in honor of Baal." So they proclaimed it.
    

21. 예후가 온 이스라엘에 두루 보내었더니 무릇 바알을 섬기는 사람이 하나도 빠진 者(자)가 없이 다 이르렀고 무리가 ^ㅠ바알의 堂(당)에 들어가매 이便(편)부터 저便(편)까지 가득하였더라
    
22. 예후가 禮服(예복) 맡은 者(자)에게 이르되 禮服(예복)을 내어다가 무릇 바알 섬기는 者(자)에게 주라 하매 저희에게로 禮服(예복)을 가져온지라
    
23. 예후가 레갑의 아들 여호나답으로 더불어 바알의 堂(당)에 들어가서 바알을 섬기는 者(자)에게 이르되 너희는 살펴보아 바알을 섬기는 者(자)만 여기 있게 하고 여호와의 종은 하나도 너희 中(중)에 있지 못하게 하라 하고
    
24. 무리가 燔祭(번제)와 다른 祭祀(제사)를 드리려고 들어간 때에 예후가 八十人(팔십인)을 밖에 두며 이르되 내가 너희 손에 붙이는 사람을 한 사람이라도 逃亡(도망)하게 하는 者(자)는 ^으自己(자기)의 生命(생명)으로 그 사람의 生命(생명)을 代身(대신)하리라 하니라
    
25. 燔祭(번제) 드리기를 다하매 예후가 ^이護衛兵(호위병)과 長官(장관)들에게 이르되 ^ㅐ들어가서 한 사람도 나가지 못하게 하고 죽이라 하매 護衛兵(호위병)과 長官(장관)들이 칼로 저희를 죽여 밖에 던지고
    

21. Auch sandte Jehu in ganz Israel und ließ alle Diener Baals "kommen," daß niemand übrig "war," der nicht gekommen wäre. Und sie gingen in das Haus "Baals," daß das Haus Baals voll ward an allen Enden.
    
22. Da sprach er zu "denen," die über das Kleiderhaus waren: Bringet allen Dienern Baals Kleider heraus! Und sie brachten die Kleider heraus.
    
23. Und Jehu ging in das Haus Baal mit "Jonadab," dem Sohn "Rechabs," und sprach zu den Dienern Baals: Forschet und sehet "zu," daß nicht hier unter euch sei jemand von des HERRN "Dienern," sondern Baals Diener allein!
    
24. Und da sie hineinkamen Opfer und Brandopfer zu "tun," bestellte sich Jehu außen achtzig Mann und sprach: Wenn der Männer jemand "entrinnt," die ich unter eure Hände "gebe," so soll für seine Seele dessen Seele sein.
    
25. Da er nun die Brandopfer vollendet "hatte," sprach Jehu zu den Trabanten und Rittern: Geht hinein und schlagt jedermann; laßt niemand herausgehen! Und sie schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts. Und die Trabanten und Ritter warfen sie weg und gingen zur Stadt des Hauses Baals
    

21. Then he sent word throughout Israel, and all the ministers of Baal came; not one stayed away. They crowded into the temple of Baal until it was full from one end to the other.
    
22. And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe, "Bring robes for all the ministers of Baal." So he brought out robes for them.
    
23. Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Recab went into the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the ministers of Baal, "Look around and see that no servants of the LORD are here with you--only ministers of Baal."
    
24. So they went in to make sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had posted eighty men outside with this warning: "If one of you lets any of the men I am placing in your hands escape, it will be your life for his life."
    
25. As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: "Go in and kill them; let no one escape." So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal.
    

26. 바알의 堂(당) 있는 城(성)으로 가서 바알의 堂(당)에서 ^ㄱ木像(목상)들을 가져다가 불사르고
    
27. 바알의 木像(목상)을 헐며 바알의 堂(당)을 毁破(훼파)하여 ^ㄴ便所(변소)를 만들었더니 오늘날까지 이르니라
    
28. 예후가 이와 같이 이스라엘 中(중)에서 바알을 滅(멸)하였으나
    
29. ^ㄷ이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 ^ㄹ罪(죄) 곧 벧엘과 단에 있는 金(금)송아지를 섬기는 罪(죄)에서는 떠나지 아니하였더라
    
30. 여호와께서 예후에게 이르시되 네가 나 보기에 正直(정직)한 일을 行(행)하되 잘 行(행)하여 내 마음에 있는대로 아합집에 다 行(행)하였은즉 ^ㅁ네 子孫(자손)이 이스라엘 王位(왕위)를 이어 四代(사대)를 지나리라 하시니라
    

26. und brachte heraus die Säulen in dem Hause Baal und verbrannten sie
    
27. und zerbrachen die Säule Baals samt dem Hause Baals und machten heimliche Gemächer daraus bis auf diesen Tag.
    
28. Also vertilgte Jehu den Baal aus Israel;
    
29. aber von den Sünden "Jerobeams," des Sohnes "Nebats," der Israel sündigen "machte," ließ Jehu "nicht," von den goldenen Kälbern zu Beth-El und zu Dan. {~}
    
30. Und der HERR sprach zu Jehu: "Darum," daß du willig gewesen bist zu "tun," was mir gefallen "hat," und hast am Hause Ahab getan "alles," was in meinem Herzen "war," sollen dir auf dem Stuhl Israels sitzen deine Kinder ins vierte Glied.
    

26. They brought the sacred stone out of the temple of Baal and burned it.
    
27. They demolished the sacred stone of Baal and tore down the temple of Baal, and people have used it for a latrine to this day.
    
28. So Jehu destroyed Baal worship in Israel.
    
29. However, he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit--the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dan.
    
30. The LORD said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in accomplishing what is right in my eyes and have done to the house of Ahab all I had in mind to do, your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation."
    

31. 그러나 예후가 全心(전심)으로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 律法(률법)을 지켜 行(행)하지 아니하며 여로보암이 이스라엘로 犯(범)하게 한 ^ㅂ그 罪(죄)에서 떠나지 아니하였더라
    
32. 이 때에 여호와께서 비로소 ^ㅅ이스라엘을 찢으시매 ^ㅇ하사엘이 그 四方(사방)을 치되
    
33. 요단 東便(동편) 길르앗 온 땅 곧 갓 사람과 르우벤 사람과 므낫세 사람의 땅 아르논 골짜기에 있는 ^ㅈ아로엘에서부터 ^ㅊ길르앗과 바산까지 하였더라
    
34. 예후의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 무릇 行(행)한 일과 모든 權勢(권세)는 이스라엘 王(왕) 歷代(력대) 志略(지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
    
35. 예후가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 자매 사마리아에 葬事(장사)되고 그 아들 여호아하스가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
    

31. Aber doch hielt Jehu "nicht," daß er im Gesetz des "HERRN," des Gottes "Israels," wandelte von ganzem Herzen; denn er ließ nicht von den Sünden "Jerobeams," der Israel hatte sündigen gemacht.
    
32. Zur selben Zeit fing der HERR "an," Israel zu mindern; denn Hasael schlug sie in allen Grenzen "Israels,"
    
33. vom Jordan gegen der Sonne "Aufgang," das Land Gilead der "Gaditer," Rubeniter und "Manassiter," von Aroer "an," das am Bach Arnon "liegt," so Gilead wie Basan.
    
34. Was aber mehr von Jehu zu sagen ist und "alles," was er getan "hat," und alle seine "Macht," "siehe," das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
    
35. Und Jehu entschlief mit seinen "Vätern," und sie begruben ihn zu Samaria. Und "Joahas," sein "Sohn," ward König an seiner Statt.
    

31. Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.
    
32. In those days the LORD began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory
    
33. east of the Jordan in all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh), from Aroer by the Arnon Gorge through Gilead to Bashan.
    
34. As for the other events of Jehu's reign, all he did, and all his achievements, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
    
35. Jehu rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son succeeded him as king.
    

36. 예후가 사마리아에서 이스라엘을 다스린 햇수는 二十八年(이십팔년)이더라
    

36. Die Zeit "aber," die Jehu über Israel regiert hat zu "Samaria," sind achtundzwanzig Jahre.
    

36. The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
