1. 유다 王(왕) ^ㅇ여호사밧의 十八年(십팔년)에 아합의 아들 여호람이 사마리아에서 이스라엘 王(왕)이 되어 十二年(십이년)을 治理(치리)하니라
   
2. 저가 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였으나 그 父母(부모)와 같이 하지는 아니하였으니 이는 저가 ^ㅈ그 아비의 만든 바알의 ^ㅊ柱像(주상)을 除(제)하였음이라
   
3. 그러나 저가 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 ^ㅋ이스라엘로 犯(범)하게 한 ^ㅌ그 罪(죄)를 따라 行(행)하고 떠나지 아니하였더라
   
4. 모압 王(왕) 메사는 羊(양)을 치는 者(자)라 ^ㅍ새끼 羊(양) 十萬(십만)의 털과 수羊(양) 十萬(십만)의 털을 이스라엘 王(왕)에게 바치더니
   
5. ^ㅎ아합이 죽은 後(후)에 모압 王(왕)이 이스라엘 王(왕)을 背叛(배반)한지라
   

1. Joram, der Sohn "Ahabs," ward König über Israel zu Samaria im achtzehnten Jahr "Josaphats," des Königs "Juda's," und regierte zwölf Jahre.
   
2. Und er "tat," was dem HERRN übel gefiel; doch nicht wie sein Vater und seine Mutter. Denn er tat weg die Säule "Baals," die sein Vater machen ließ.
   
3. Aber er blieb hangen an den Sünden "Jerobeams," des Sohnes "Nebats," der Israel sündigen "machte," und ließ nicht davon.
   
4. Mesa "aber," der Moabiter "König," hatte viele Schafe und zinste dem König Israels Wolle von hunderttausend Lämmern und hunderttausend Widdern.
   
5. Da aber Ahab tot "war," fiel der Moabiter König ab vom König Israels.
   

1. Joram son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned twelve years.
   
2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father and mother had done. He got rid of the sacred stone of Baal that his father had made.
   
3. Nevertheless he clung to the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit; he did not turn away from them.
   
4. Now Mesha king of Moab raised sheep, and he had to supply the king of Israel with a hundred thousand lambs and with the wool of a hundred thousand rams.
   
5. But after Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
   

6. 그 때에 여호람 王(왕)이 사마리아에서 나가서 온 이스라엘을 點考(점고)하고
   
7. 또 가서 유다 王(왕) 여호사밧에게 보내어 이르되 모압王(왕)이 나를 背叛(배반)하였으니 當身(당신)은 나와 함께 가서 모압을 치시겠느뇨 저가 가로되 내가 올라가리이다 ^ㅏ나는 當身(당신)과 一般(일반)이요 내 百姓(백성)은 當身(당신)의 百姓(백성)과 一般(일반)이요 내 말들도 當身(당신)의 말들과 一般(일반)이니이다
   
8. 여호람이 가로되 우리가 어느 길로 올라가리이까 저가 對答(대답)하되 에돔 曠野(광야) 길로니이다
   
9. 이스라엘 王(왕)이 유다 王(왕)과 ^ㅑ에돔 王(왕)으로 더불어 行(행)하더니 길을 둘러 行(행)한지 七日(칠일)에 軍士(군사)와 따라가는 牲畜(생축)을 먹일 물이 없는지라
   
10. 이스라엘 王(왕)이 가로되 슬프다, ^ㅓ여호와께서 이 세 王(왕)을 불러 모아 모압의 손에 붙이려 하시는도다
    

6. Da zog zur selben Zeit aus der König Joram von Samaria und ordnete das ganze Israel
   
7. und sandte hin zu "Josaphat," dem König "Juda's," und ließ ihm sagen: Der Moabiter König ist von mir abgefallen; komm mit "mir," zu streiten wider die Moabiter! Er sprach: Ich will hinaufkommen; ich bin wie "du," und mein Volk wie dein "Volk," und meine Rosse wie deine Rosse.
   
8. Und er sprach: Welchen Weg wollen wir hinaufziehen? Er sprach: Den Weg durch die Wüste Edom.
   
9. Also zog hin der König "Israels," der König Juda's und der König Edoms. Und da sie sieben Tagereisen "zogen," hatte das Heer und das "Vieh," das unter ihnen war kein Wasser.
   
10. Da sprach der König Israels: O wehe! der HERR hat diese drei Könige "geladen," daß er sie in der Moabiter Hände gebe.
    

6. So at that time King Joram set out from Samaria and mobilized all Israel.
   
7. He also sent this message to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" "I will go with you," he replied. "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."
   
8. "By what route shall we attack?" he asked. "Through the Desert of Edom," he answered.
   
9. So the king of Israel set out with the king of Judah and the king of Edom. After a roundabout march of seven days, the army had no more water for themselves or for the animals with them.
   
10. "What!" exclaimed the king of Israel. "Has the LORD called us three kings together only to hand us over to Moab?"
    

11. ^ㅕ여호사밧이 가로되 우리가 여호와께 물을 만한 여호와의 先知者(선지자)가 여기 없느냐 이스라엘 王(왕)의 信服(신복) 中(중)에 한 사람이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 前(전)에 ^ㅗ엘리야의 손에 물을 붓던 사밧의 아들 ^ㅛ엘리사가 여기있나이다
    
12. 여호사밧이 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 저에게 있도다 이에 이스라엘 王(왕)이 여호사밧과 에돔 王(왕)으로 더불어 그에게로 내려가니라
    
13. 엘리사가 이스라엘 王(왕)에게 이르되 ^ㅜ내가 當身(당신)과 무슨 相關(상관)이 있나이까 ^ㅠ當身(당신)의 父親(부친)의 先知者(선지자)들과 ^으當身(당신)의 母親(모친)의 先知者(선지자)들에게로 가소서 이스라엘 王(왕)이 저에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하니이다 여호와께서 이 세 王(왕)을 불러 모아 모압의 손에 붙이려 하시나이다
    
14. 엘리사가 가로되 내가 섬기는 萬軍(만군)의 ^이여호와의 사심을 가리켜 盟誓(맹서)하노니 내가 萬一(만일) 유다 王(왕) 여호사밧의 낯을 봄이 아니면 當身(당신)을 向(향)하지도 아니하고 보지도 아니하였으리이다
    
15. 이제 내게로 ^ㅐ거문고 탈 者(자)를 불러 오소서 하니라 거문고 타는 者(자)가 거문고를 탈 때에 ^ㄱ여호와께서 엘리사를 感動(감동)하시니
    

11. Josaphat aber sprach: Ist kein Prophet des HERRN "hier," daß wir den HERRN durch ihn ratfragen? Da antwortete einer unter den Knechten des Königs Israels und sprach: Hier ist "Elisa," der Sohn "Saphats," der Elia Wasser auf die Hände goß.
    
12. Josaphat sprach: Des HERRN Wort ist bei ihm. Also zogen sie zu ihm hinab der König Israels und Josaphat und der König Edoms.
    
13. Elisa aber sprach zum König Israels: Was hast du mit mir zu schaffen? gehe hin zu den Propheten deines Vaters und zu den Propheten deiner Mutter! Der König Israels sprach zu ihm: Nein! denn der HERR hat diese drei Könige "geladen," daß er sie in der Moabiter Hände gebe.
    
14. Elisa sprach: So wahr der HERR Zebaoth "lebt," vor dem ich "stehe," wenn ich nicht "Josaphat," den König "Juda's," "ansähe," ich wollte dich nicht ansehen noch achten.
    
15. So bringet mir nun einen Spielmann! Und da der Spielmann auf den Saiten "spielte," kam die Hand des HERRN auf "ihn,"
    

11. But Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there no prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD through him?" An officer of the king of Israel answered, "Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah."
    
12. Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the LORD is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
    
13. Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What do we have to do with each other? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother." "No," the king of Israel answered, "because it was the LORD who called us three kings together to hand us over to Moab."
    
14. Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD Almighty lives, whom I serve, if I did not have respect for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you or even notice you.
    
15. But now bring me a harpist." While the harpist was playing, the hand of the LORD came upon Elisha
    

16. 저가 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 이 골짜기에 개천을 많이 파라 하셨나이다
    
17. 여호와께서 이르시기를 너희가 바람도 보지 못하고 비도 보지 못하되 이 골짜기에 물이 가득하여 너희와 너희 六畜(육축)과 짐승이 마시리라 하셨나이다
    
18. 이것은 여호와 보시기에 오히려 작은 일이라 여호와께서 모압 사람도 當身(당신)의 손에 붙이시리니
    
19. 當身(당신)들이 모든 堅固(견고)한 城(성)과 모든 아름다운 城(성)을 치고 모든 좋은 나무를 베고 모든 샘을 메우고 ^ㄴ돌로 모든 좋은 밭을 헐리이다 하더니
    
20. ^ㄷ아침에 미쳐 素祭(소제) 드릴 때에 물이 에돔 便(편)에서부터 흘러와서 그 땅에 가득하였더라
    

16. und er sprach: So spricht der HERR: Macht hier und da Gräben an diesem Bach!
    
17. Denn so spricht der HERR: Ihr werdet keinen Wind noch Regen sehen; dennoch soll der Bach voll Wasser "werden," daß ihr und euer Gesinde und euer Vieh trinket. {~}
    
18. Dazu ist das ein Geringes vor dem HERRN; er wird auch die Moabiter in eure Hände "geben,"
    
19. daß ihr schlagen werdet alle festen Städte und alle auserwählten Städte und werdet fällen alle guten Bäume und werdet verstopfen alle Wasserbrunnen und werdet allen guten Acker mit Steinen verderben.
    
20. Des Morgens "aber," zur "Zeit," da man Speisopfer "opfert," "siehe," da kam ein Gewässer des Weges von Edom und füllte das Land mit Wasser.
    

16. and he said, "This is what the LORD says: Make this valley full of ditches.
    
17. For this is what the LORD says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink.
    
18. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also hand Moab over to you.
    
19. You will overthrow every fortified city and every major town. You will cut down every good tree, stop up all the springs, and ruin every good field with stones."
    
20. The next morning, about the time for offering the sacrifice, there it was--water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.
    

21. 모압 모든 사람이 王(왕)들이 올라와서 自己(자기)를 치려 한다 함을 듣고 甲(갑)옷 입을 만한 者(자)로부터 그 以上(이상)이 다 모여 그 境界(경계)에 섰더라
    
22. 아침에 모압 사람이 일찌기 일어나서 해가 물에 비취므로 맞은便(편) 물이 붉어 피와 같음을 보고
    
23. 가로되 이는 피라 必然(필연) 저 王(왕)들이 싸워 서로 죽인 것이로다 모압 사람들아 이제 擄略(노략)하러 가자 하고
    
24. 이스라엘 陣(진)에 이르니 이스라엘 사람이 일어나 모압 사람을 쳐서 그 앞에서 逃亡(도망)하게 하고 그 地境(지경)에 들어가며 모압 사람을 치고
    
25. 그 城邑(성읍)을 쳐서 헐고 各其(각기) 돌을 던져 ^ㄹ모든 좋은 밭에 가득하게 하고 모든 샘을 메우고 모든 좋은 나무를 베고 ^ㅁ길하라셋의 돌들은 남기고 물맷군이 두루 다니며 치니라
    

21. Da aber alle Moabiter "hörten," daß die Könige "heraufzogen," wider sie zu "streiten," beriefen sie "alle," die zur Rüstung alt genug und darüber "waren," und traten an die Grenze.
    
22. Und da sie sich des Morgens früh aufmachten und die Sonne aufging über dem "Gewässer," deuchte die Moabiter das Gewässer ihnen gegenüber rot zu sein wie Blut;
    
23. und sie sprachen: Es ist Blut! Die Könige haben sich mit dem Schwert "verderbt," und einer wird den andern geschlagen haben. "Hui," "Moab," mache dich nun auf zur Ausbeute!
    
24. Aber da sie zum Lager Israels "kamen," machte sich Israel auf und schlug die Moabiter; und sie flohen vor ihnen. Aber sie kamen hinein und schlugen Moab.
    
25. Die Städte zerbrachen "sie," und ein jeglicher warf seine Steine auf alle guten Äcker und machten sie voll und verstopften die Wasserbrunnen und fällten alle guten "Bäume," bis daß nur die Steine von Kir-Hareseth übrigblieben; und es umgaben die Stadt die Schleuderer und warfen auf sie.
    

21. Now all the Moabites had heard that the kings had come to fight against them; so every man, young and old, who could bear arms was called up and stationed on the border.
    
22. When they got up early in the morning, the sun was shining on the water. To the Moabites across the way, the water looked red--like blood.
    
23. "That's blood!" they said. "Those kings must have fought and slaughtered each other. Now to the plunder, Moab!"
    
24. But when the Moabites came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and fought them until they fled. And the Israelites invaded the land and slaughtered the Moabites.
    
25. They destroyed the towns, and each man threw a stone on every good field until it was covered. They stopped up all the springs and cut down every good tree. Only Kir Hareseth was left with its stones in place, but men armed with slings surrounded it and attacked it as well.
    

26. 모압 王(왕)이 戰勢(전세)가 極烈(극렬)하여 當(당)하기 어려움을 보고 ^ㅂ칼 찬 軍士(군사) 七百(칠백)을 거느리고 衝突(충돌)하여 지나서 에돔 王(왕)에게로 가고자 하되 能(능)히 못하고
    
27. 이에 自己(자기) 位(위)를 이어 王(왕)이 될 맏아들을 取(취)하여 ^ㅅ城(성) 위에서 燔祭(번제)를 드린지라 이스라엘에게 크게 痛憤(통분)함이 臨(임)하매 저희가 떠나 各其(각기) 故國(고국)으로 돌아갔더라
    

26. Da aber der Moabiter König "sah," daß ihm der Streit zu stark "war," nahm er siebenhundert Mann zu "sich," die das Schwert "auszogen," durchzubrechen wider den König Edoms; aber sie konnten nicht.
    
27. Da nahm er seinen ersten "Sohn," der an seiner Statt sollte König "werden," und opferte ihn zum Brandopfer auf der Mauer. Da kam ein großer Zorn über "Israel," daß sie von ihm abzogen und kehrten wieder in ihr Land.
    

26. When the king of Moab saw that the battle had gone against him, he took with him seven hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of Edom, but they failed.
    
27. Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. The fury against Israel was great; they withdrew and returned to their own land.
