사사기(士師記) 20장 [개역한글 : 新改訳 : NIV]

1. 이에 ^ㅁ모든 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 ^ㅂ단에서부터 브엘세바까지와 길르앗 땅에서 나왔는데 그 會衆(회중)이 一齊(일제)히 ^ㅅ미스바에서 여호와 앞에 모였으니
   
2. 온 百姓(백성)의 어른 곧 ^ㅇ이스라엘 모든 支派(지파)의 어른들은 하나님 百姓(백성)의 總會(총회)에 섰고 ^ㅈ칼을 빼는 步兵(보병)은 四十萬(사십만)이었으며
   
3. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 미스바에 올라간 것을 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 들었더라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 가로되 이 惡(악)한 일의 情形(정형)을 우리에게 告(고)하라
   
4. 레위 사람 곧 죽임을 當(당)한 女人(녀인)의 男便(남편)이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ^ㅊ내가 내 妾(첩)으로 더불어 베냐민에 屬(속)한 기브아에 留宿(유숙)하러 갔더니
   
5. ^ㅋ기브아 사람들이 나를 치러 일어나서 밤에 나의 寓居(우거)한 집을 에워싸고 나를 죽이려 하고 내 妾(첩)을 辱(욕)보여서 그로 죽게 한지라
   

1. そこで，ダンからベエル・シェバ，およびギルアデの地に至るイスラエル人はみな，出て来て，その会衆は，こぞってミツパの主のところに集まった．
   
2. イスラエルの全部族，民全体のかしらたち，４０万のつるぎを使う歩兵が神の民の集まりに出た．
   
3. －－ベニヤミン族は，イスラエル人がミツパに上って来たことを聞いた．－－イスラエル人は，「こんな悪い事がどうして起こったのか，話してください．」と言った．
   
4. 殺された女の夫であるレビ人は答えて言った．「私は，そばめといっしょに，ベニヤミンに属するギブアに行き，一夜を明かそうとしました．
   
5. すると，ギブアの者たちは私を襲い，夜中に私のいる家を取り囲み，私を殺そうと計りましたが，彼らは私のそばめに暴行を加えました．それで彼女は死にました．
   

1. Then all the Israelites from Dan to Beersheba and from the land of Gilead came out as one man and assembled before the LORD in Mizpah.
   
2. The leaders of all the people of the tribes of Israel took their places in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand soldiers armed with swords.
   
3. (The Benjamites heard that the Israelites had gone up to Mizpah.) Then the Israelites said, "Tell us how this awful thing happened."
   
4. So the Levite, the husband of the murdered woman, said, "I and my concubine came to Gibeah in Benjamin to spend the night.
   
5. During the night the men of Gibeah came after me and surrounded the house, intending to kill me. They raped my concubine, and she died.
   

6. ^ㅌ내가 내 妾(첩)의 屍體(시체)를 取(취)하여 쪼개어 이스라엘 基業(기업)의 온 땅에 보내었노니 이는 그들이 이스라엘 中(중)에서 淫行(음행)과 ^ㅍ妄靈(망령)된 일을 行(행)하였음을 因(인)함이로라
   
7. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)들아, 너희가 다 여기 있은즉 너희의 ^ㅎ意見(의견)과 方策(방책)을 낼지니라
   
8. 모든 百姓(백성)이 一齊(일제)히 일어나며 가로되 우리가 하나라도 自己(자기) 帳幕(장막)으로 돌아가지 아니하며 하나라도 自己(자기) 집으로 들어가지 아니하고
   
9. 우리가 기브아 사람에게 이렇게 行(행)하리니 곧 제비뽑아서 그들을 치되
   
10. 우리가 이스라엘 모든 支派(지파) 中(중)에서 百(백)에 열, 千(천)에 百(백), 萬(만)에 千(천)을 取(취)하고 그 百姓(백성)을 爲(위)하여 糧食(량식)을 豫備(예비)하고 그들로 베냐민의 기브아에 가서 그 무리의 이스라엘 中(중)에서 妄靈(망령)된 일을 行(행)한 대로 懲戒(징계)하게 하리라 하니라
    

6. そこで私は，そばめをつかみ，彼女を切り分け，それをイスラエルの相続地の全地に送りました．これは，彼らがイスラエルの中で，みだらな恥ずべきことを行なったからです．
   
7. さあ，あなたがたイスラエル人のすべてよ．今ここで，意見を述べて，相談してください．」
   
8. そこて，民はみな，こぞって立ち上がって言った．「私たちは，だれも自分の天幕に帰らない．だれも自分の家に戻らない．
   
9. 今，私たちがギブアにしようとしていることはこうだ．くじを引いて，攻め上ろう．
   
10. 私たちは，イスラエル人の全部族について，百人につき十人，千人につき百人，１万人につき千人をとって，民のための糧食を持って行かせ，民がベニヤミンのギブアに行って，ベニヤミンがイスラエルでしたこのずへての恥ずべき行ないに対して，報復させよう．」
    

6. I took my concubine, cut her into pieces and sent one piece to each region of Israel's inheritance, because they committed this lewd and disgraceful act in Israel.
   
7. Now, all you Israelites, speak up and give your verdict."
   
8. All the people rose as one man, saying, "None of us will go home. No, not one of us will return to his house.
   
9. But now this is what we'll do to Gibeah: We'll go up against it as the lot directs.
   
10. We'll take ten men out of every hundred from all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred from a thousand, and a thousand from ten thousand, to get provisions for the army. Then, when the army arrives at Gibeah in Benjamin, it can give them what they deserve for all this vileness done in Israel."
    

11. 이와 같이 이스라엘 모든 사람이 하나 같이 合心(합심)하여 그 城邑(성읍)을 치려고 모였더라
    
12. ^ㅏ이스라엘 支派(지파)들이 베냐민 온 支派(지파)에 사람들을 보내어 두루 行(행)하며 이르기를 너희 中(중)에서 생긴 이 惡(악)이 어찜이뇨
    
13. 그런즉 이제 ^ㅑ기브아 사람 곧 그 匪類(비류)를 우리에게 붙여서 우리로 죽여 ^ㅓ이스라엘 中(중)에 惡(악)을 除(제)하여 버리게 하라 하나 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 그 兄弟(형제) 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 말을 듣지 아니하고
    
14. 도리어 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 기브아에 모이고 나가서 이스라엘 子孫(자손)과 싸우고자 하니
    
15. 그 때에 城邑(성읍)들에서 나온 베냐민 子孫(자손)의 數(수)는 ^ㅕ칼을 빼는 者(자)가 모두 ^ㅗ二萬(이만) 六千(육천)이요 그 外(외)에 기브아 居民(거민) 中(중) 擇(택)한 者(자)가 七百(칠백)인데
    

11. こうして，イスラエル人はみな団結し，こぞってその町に集まって来た．
    
12. それから，イスラエルの諸部族は，ベニヤミンの諸族のすべてに人をやって言わせた．「あなたがたのうちに起こったあの悪い事は，何ということか．
    
13. 今，ギブアにいるあのよこしまな者たちを渡せ．彼らを殺して，イスラエルから悪を除き去ろう．」ベニヤミン族は，自分たちの同族イスラエル人の言うことに聞き従おうとしなかった．
    
14. それどころか，ベニヤミン族は町々からギブアに集まり，イスラエル人との戦いに出て行こうとした．
    
15. その日，ベニヤミン族は，町々から２万６千人の剣を使う者を召集した．そのほかにギブアの住民のうちから７００人の精鋭を召集した．
    

11. So all the men of Israel got together and united as one man against the city.
    
12. The tribes of Israel sent men throughout the tribe of Benjamin, saying, "What about this awful crime that was committed among you?
    
13. Now surrender those wicked men of Gibeah so that we may put them to death and purge the evil from Israel." But the Benjamites would not listen to their fellow Israelites.
    
14. From their towns they came together at Gibeah to fight against the Israelites.
    
15. At once the Benjamites mobilized twenty-six thousand swordsmen from their towns, in addition to seven hundred chosen men from those living in Gibeah.
    

16. 이 모든 百姓(백성) 中(중)에서 擇(택)한 七百名(칠백명)은 다 ^ㅛ왼손잡이라 물매로 돌을 던지면 毫厘(호리)도 틀림이 없는 者(자)더라
    
17. 베냐민 子孫(자손) 外(외)에 이스라엘 사람의 칼을 빼는 者(자)의 數(수)는 四十萬名(사십만명)이니 다 戰士(전사)라
    
18. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 일어나 ^ㅜ벧엘에 올라가서 하나님께 묻자와 가로되 우리 中(중)에 ^ㅠ누가 먼저 올라가서 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 유다가 먼저일지니라
    
19. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 아침에 일어나 기브아를 對(대)하여 陣(진)을 치니라
    
20. 이스라엘 사람들이 나가서 行伍(항오)를 벌이고 거기서 그들과 싸우고자 하매
    

16. この民全体のうちに，左ききの精鋭が７００人いた．彼らはみな，１本の毛をねらって石を投げて，失敗することがなかった．
    
17. イスラエル人は，ベニヤミンを除いて，剣を使う者４０万人を召集した．彼らはみな，戦士であった．
    
18. イスラエル人は立ち上がって，ベテルに上り，神に伺って言った．「私たちのため，だれが最初に上って行って，ベニヤミン族と戦うのでしょうか．」すると，主は仰せられた．「ユダが最初だ．」
    
19. 朝になると，イスラエル人は立ち上がり，ギブアに対して陣を敷いた．
    
20. イスラエル人はベニヤミンとの戦いに出て行った．そのとき，イスラエル人はギブアで彼らと戦うために陣ぞなえをした．
    

16. Among all these soldiers there were seven hundred chosen men who were left-handed, each of whom could sling a stone at a hair and not miss.
    
17. Israel, apart from Benjamin, mustered four hundred thousand swordsmen, all of them fighting men.
    
18. The Israelites went up to Bethel and inquired of God. They said, "Who of us shall go first to fight against the Benjamites?" The LORD replied, "Judah shall go first."
    
19. The next morning the Israelites got up and pitched camp near Gibeah.
    
20. The men of Israel went out to fight the Benjamites and took up battle positions against them at Gibeah.
    

21. ^으베냐민 子孫(자손)이 기브아에서 나와서 當日(당일)에 이스라엘 사람 二萬(이만) 二千(이천)을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으나
    
22. 이스라엘 사람들이 스스로 勇氣(용기)를 내어 첫날 行伍(항오)를 벌였던 곳에 다시 行伍(항오)를 벌이니라
    
23. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 올라가서 ^이여호와 앞에서 저물도록 울며 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 내가 다시 나아가서 나의 兄弟(형제) 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가서 치라 하시니라
    
24. 그 이튿날에 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 베냐민 子孫(자손)을 치러 나아가매
    
25. 베냐민도 그 이튿날에 ^ㅐ기브아에서 그들을 치러 나와서 다시 이스라엘 子孫(자손) 一萬(일만) 八千(팔천)을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으니 다 ^ㄱ칼을 빼는 者(자)였더라
    

21. ベニヤミン族はギブアから出て来て，その日，イスラエル人２万２千人をその場で殺した．
    
22. しかし，この民，イスラエル人は奮い立って，初めの日に陣を敷いた場所で，再び戦いの備えをした．
    
23. そしてイスラエル人は上って行って，主の前で夕方まで泣き，主に伺って言った．「私は再び，私の兄弟ベニヤミン族に近づいて戦うべきでしょうか．」すると，主は仰せられた．「攻め上れ．」
    
24. そこで，イスラエル人は次の日，ベニヤミン族に攻め寄せたが，
    
25. ベニヤミンも次の日，ギブアから出て来て，彼らを迎え撃ち，再びイスラエル人のうち，１万８千人をその場で殺した．これらの者はみな，剣を使う者であった．
    

21. The Benjamites came out of Gibeah and cut down twenty-two thousand Israelites on the battlefield that day.
    
22. But the men of Israel encouraged one another and again took up their positions where they had stationed themselves the first day.
    
23. The Israelites went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and they inquired of the LORD. They said, "Shall we go up again to battle against the Benjamites, our brothers?" The LORD answered, "Go up against them."
    
24. Then the Israelites drew near to Benjamin the second day.
    
25. This time, when the Benjamites came out from Gibeah to oppose them, they cut down another eighteen thousand Israelites, all of them armed with swords.
    

26. 이에 온 이스라엘 子孫(자손) 모든 百姓(백성)이 올라가서 ^ㄴ벧엘에 이르러 울며 거기서 여호와 앞에 앉고 그 날이 저물도록 禁食(금식)하고 燔祭(번제)와 和睦祭(화목제)를 여호와 앞에 드리고
    
27. 여호와께 물으니라 ^ㄷ그 때에는 하나님의 言約櫃(언약궤)가 거기 있고
    
28. 아론의 孫子(손자) 엘르아살의 아들 ^ㄹ비느하스가 ^ㅁ그 앞에 모셨더라 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 묻자오되 내가 다시 나가 나의 兄弟(형제) 베냐민 子孫(자손)과 싸우리이까 말리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가라 來日(래일)은 내가 그를 네 손에 붙이리라
    
29. ^ㅂ이스라엘이 기브아 四面(사면)에 軍士(군사)를 埋伏(매복)하니라
    
30. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 第(제) 三日(삼일)에 베냐민 子孫(자손)에게로 치러 올라가서 前(전)과 같이 기브아를 對(대)하여 行伍(항오)를 벌이매
    

26. それで，すべてのイスラエル人は，全民こぞってベテルに上って行って，泣き，その所で主の前にすわり，その日は，夕方まで断食をし，全焼のいけにえと和解のいけにえを主の前にささげた．
    
27. そして，イスラエル人は主に伺い，－－当時，神の契約の箱はそこにあった．
    
28. 当時，アロンの子エルアザルの子ピネハスが，御前に仕えていた．－－そして言った．「私はまた，出て行って，私の兄弟ベニヤミン族と戦うべきでしょうか．」主は仰せられた．「攻め上れ．あす，彼らをあなたがたの手に渡す．」
    
29. そこで，イスラエル人はギブアの回りに伏兵を置いた．
    
30. ３日目にイスラエル人は，ベニヤミン族のところに攻め上り，先のようにギブアに対して陣ぞなえをした．
    

26. Then the Israelites, all the people, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the LORD. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the LORD.
    
27. And the Israelites inquired of the LORD. (In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,
    
28. with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, ministering before it.) They asked, "Shall we go up again to battle with Benjamin our brother, or not?" The LORD responded, "Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands."
    
29. Then Israel set an ambush around Gibeah.
    
30. They went up against the Benjamites on the third day and took up positions against Gibeah as they had done before.
    

31. 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 나와서 百姓(백성)을 맞더니 꾀임에 빠져 城邑(성읍)을 떠났더라 그들이 큰 길 곧 한便(편)은 ^ㅅ벧엘로 올라가는 길이요 한便(편)은 기브아의 들로 가는 길에서 百姓(백성)을 쳐서 前(전)과 같이 ^ㅇ이스라엘 사람 三十名(삼십명) 假量(가량)을 죽이기 始作(시작)하며
    
32. 스스로 이르기를 ^ㅈ이들이 처음과 같이 우리 앞에서 敗(패)한다하나 이스라엘 子孫(자손)은 이르기를 우리가 逃亡(도망)하여 그들을 城邑(성읍)에서 큰 길로 꾀어내자 하고
    
33. 이스라엘 사람이 모두 그 處所(처소)에서 일어나서 바알다말에 行伍(항오)를 벌였고 그 伏兵(복병)은 그 處所(처소) 곧 기브아 草場(초장)에서 쏟아져 나왔더라
    
34. 온 이스라엘 사람 中(중)에서 擇(택)한 사람 一萬(일만)이 기브아에 이르러 치매 싸움이 甚(심)히 猛烈(맹렬)하나 ^ㅊ베냐민 사람은 禍(화)가 自己(자기)에게 미친 줄을 알지 못하였더라
    
35. 여호와께서 이스라엘 앞에서 베냐민을 쳐서 破(파)하게 하시매 當日(당일)에 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 베냐민 사람 二萬(이만) 五千(오천) 一百(일백)을 죽였으니 다 ^ㅋ칼을 빼는 者(자)이었더라
    

31. すると，ベニヤミン族は，この民を迎え撃つために出て来た．彼らは町からおびき出された．彼らは，１つはベテルに，他の１つはギブアに上る大路で，この前のようにこの民を打ち初め，イスラエル人約３０人を戦場で刺し殺した．
    
32. ベニヤミン族は，「彼らは最初のときのようにわれわれに打ち負かされる．」と思った．イスラエル人は言った．「さあ，逃げよう．そして彼らを町から大路におびき出そう．」
    
33. イスラエル人はみな，その持ち場を立ち，バアル・タマルで陣ぞなえをした．一方，イスラエル人の伏兵たちは，自分たちの持ち場，マアレ・ゲバからおどり出た．
    
34. こうして，全イスラエルの精鋭１万人がギブアに向かってやって来た．戦いは激しかった．ベニヤミン族は，わざわいが自分たちに迫っているのに気がつかなかった．
    
35. こうして，主がイスラエルによってベニヤミンを打ったので，イスラエル人は，その日，ベニヤミンのうち２万５千百人を殺した．これらの者はみな，剣を使う者であった．
    

31. The Benjamites came out to meet them and were drawn away from the city. They began to inflict casualties on the Israelites as before, so that about thirty men fell in the open field and on the roads--the one leading to Bethel and the other to Gibeah.
    
32. While the Benjamites were saying, "We are defeating them as before," the Israelites were saying, "Let's retreat and draw them away from the city to the roads."
    
33. All the men of Israel moved from their places and took up positions at Baal Tamar, and the Israelite ambush charged out of its place on the west of Gibeah.
    
34. Then ten thousand of Israel's finest men made a frontal attack on Gibeah. The fighting was so heavy that the Benjamites did not realize how near disaster was.
    
35. The LORD defeated Benjamin before Israel, and on that day the Israelites struck down 25,100 Benjamites, all armed with swords.
    

36. 이에 베냐민 子孫(자손)이 自己(자기)가 敗(패)한 것을 깨달았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람이 기브아에 埋伏(매복)한 軍士(군사)를 믿고 暫間(잠간) 베냐민 사람 앞을 避(피)하매
    
37. ^ㅌ伏兵(복병)이 急(급)히 나와 기브아에 突入(돌입)하고 나아가며 칼날로 온 城邑(성읍)을 쳤음이더라
    
38. 처음에 이스라엘 사람과 伏兵(복병) 사이에 相約(상약)하기를 城邑(성읍)에서 큰 煙氣(연기)가 치미는 것으로 軍號(군호)를 삼자 하고
    
39. 이스라엘 사람은 싸우다가 물러가고 베냐민 사람은 이스라엘 사람 三十名(삼십명) 假量(가량)을 쳐 죽이기를 始作(시작)하며 이르기를 ^ㅍ이들이 丁寧(정녕) 처음 싸움같이 우리에게 敗(패)한다 하다가
    
40. 煙氣(연기) 구름이 기둥 같이 城邑(성읍) 가운데서 일어날 때에 베냐민 사람이 돌아보매 ^ㅎ온 城邑(성읍)에 煙氣(연기)가 하늘에 닿았고
    

36. ベニヤミン族は，自分たちが打ち負かされたのを見た．イスラエル人がベニヤミンの前から退却したのは，ギブアに対して伏せていた伏兵を信頼したからであった．
    
37. 伏兵は急ぎギブアに突入した．伏兵はその勢いに乗って，町中を剣の刃で打ちまくった．
    
38. イスラエル人と伏兵との間には，合図が決めてあって，町からのろしが上げられたら，
    
39. イスラエル人は引き返して戦うようになっていた．ベニヤミンは，約３０人のイスラエル人を打ち殺し始めた．「彼らは，きっと最初の戦いのときのように，われわれに打ち負かされるに違いない．」と思ったのである．
    
40. そのころ，のろしが煙の柱となって町から上り始めた．ベニヤミンは，うしろを振り向いた．見よ．町全体から煙が天に上っていた．
    

36. Then the Benjamites saw that they were beaten. Now the men of Israel had given way before Benjamin, because they relied on the ambush they had set near Gibeah.
    
37. The men who had been in ambush made a sudden dash into Gibeah, spread out and put the whole city to the sword.
    
38. The men of Israel had arranged with the ambush that they should send up a great cloud of smoke from the city,
    
39. and then the men of Israel would turn in the battle. The Benjamites had begun to inflict casualties on the men of Israel (about thirty), and they said, "We are defeating them as in the first battle."
    
40. But when the column of smoke began to rise from the city, the Benjamites turned and saw the smoke of the whole city going up into the sky.
    

41. 이스라엘 사람은 돌이키는지라 ^ㅏ베냐민 사람이 禍(화)가 自己(자기)에게 미친 것을 보고 甚(심)히 놀라
    
42. 이스라엘 사람 앞에서 몸을 돌이켜 ^ㅑ曠野(광야) 길로 向(향)하였으나 軍士(군사)가 急(급)히 追擊(추격)하며 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 나온 者(자)를 그 가운데서 殄滅(진멸)하니라
    
43. 그들이 베냐민 사람을 에워쌌더니 기브아 앞 東便(동편)까지 쫓으며 그 쉬는 곳에서 짓밟으매
    
44. 베냐민 中(중)에서 엎드러진 者(자)가 一萬(일만) 八千(팔천)이니 다 勇士(용사)더라
    
45. 그들이 몸을 돌이켜 曠野(광야)로 逃亡(도망)하여 ^ㅓ림몬 바위에 이르는 큰 길에서 이스라엘이 또 五千名(오천명)을 이삭 줍듯 하고 또 急(급)히 따라 기돔에 이르러 또 二千名(이천명)을 죽였으니
    

41. そこへ，イスラエル人が引き返して来たので，ベニヤミン人は，わざわいが自分たちに迫っているのを見て，うろたえた．
    
42. それで，彼らはイスラエル人の前から荒野のほうへ向かったが，戦いは彼らに追い迫り，町々から出て来た者も合流して，彼らを殺した．
    
43. イスラエル人はベニヤミンを包囲して追いつめ，ヌアから東のほうギブアの向こう側まで踏みにじった．
    
44. こうして，１万８千人のベニヤミンが倒れた．これらの者はみな，力ある者たちであった．
    
45. また残りの者は荒野のほうに向かってリモンの岩に逃げたが，イスラエル人は，大路でそのうちの５千人を打ち取り，なお残りをギデオムまで追跡して，そのうちの２千人を打ち殺した．
    

41. Then the men of Israel turned on them, and the men of Benjamin were terrified, because they realized that disaster had come upon them.
    
42. So they fled before the Israelites in the direction of the desert, but they could not escape the battle. And the men of Israel who came out of the towns cut them down there.
    
43. They surrounded the Benjamites, chased them and easily overran them in the vicinity of Gibeah on the east.
    
44. Eighteen thousand Benjamites fell, all of them valiant fighters.
    
45. As they turned and fled toward the desert to the rock of Rimmon, the Israelites cut down five thousand men along the roads. They kept pressing after the Benjamites as far as Gidom and struck down two thousand more.
    

46. 이 날에 베냐민의 칼을 빼는 者(자)의 엎드러진 것이 모두 二萬(이만) 五千(오천)이니 다 勇士(용사)더라
    
47. 베냐민 六百名(육백명)이 돌이켜 曠野(광야)로 逃亡(도망)하여 림몬 바위에 이르러 거기서 넉달을 지내었더라
    
48. 이스라엘 사람이 베냐민 子孫(자손)에게로 돌아와서 온 城邑(성읍)과 家畜(가축)과 만나는 者(자)를 다 칼날로 치고 닥치는 城邑(성읍)마다 다 불살랐더라
    

46. こうして，その日ベニヤミンの中で倒れた者はみなで２万５千人，剣を使う力ある者たちであった．
    
47. それでも，６００人の者は荒野のほうに向かってリモンの岩に逃げ，４か月間，リモンの岩にいた．
    
48. イスラエル人は，ベニヤミン族のところへ引き返し，無傷のままだった町をはじめ，家畜，見つかったものすべてを剣の刃で打ち，また見つかったすべての町に火を放った．
    

46. On that day twenty-five thousand Benjamite swordsmen fell, all of them valiant fighters.
    
47. But six hundred men turned and fled into the desert to the rock of Rimmon, where they stayed four months.
    
48. The men of Israel went back to Benjamin and put all the towns to the sword, including the animals and everything else they found. All the towns they came across they set on fire.
