1. ^ㅜ르호보암이 예루살렘에 이르러 유다와 베냐민 族屬(족속)을 모으니 擇(택)한 勇士(용사)가 十八萬(십팔만)이라 이스라엘과 싸워 나라를 恢復(회복)하여 르호보암에게 돌리려 하더니
   
2. 여호와의 말씀이 하나님의 사람 ^ㅠ스마야에게 臨(임)하여 가라사대
   
3. 솔로몬의 아들 유다 王(왕) 르호보암과 유다와 베냐민의 이스라엘 무리에게 告(고)하여 이르기를
   
4. 여호와의 말씀이 너희는 올라 가지 말라 ^으너희 兄弟(형제)와 싸우지 말고 各其(각기) 집으로 돌아가라 이 일이 내게로 말미암아 난 것이라 하셨다 하라 하신지라 저희가 여호와의 말씀을 듣고 돌아가고 여로보암을 치러 가지 아니하였더라
   
5. 르호보암이 예루살렘에 居(거)하여 ^이유다 땅에 防備(방비)하는 城邑(성읍)들을 建築(건축)하였으니
   

1. Und da Rehabeam gen Jerusalem "kam," versammelte er das ganze Haus Juda und "Benjamin," hunderundachtzigtausend junger "Mannschaft," die streitbar "waren," wider Israel zu "streiten," daß sie das Königreich wieder an Rehabeam brächten. {~} {~}
   
2. Aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu "Semaja," dem Mann "Gottes," und sprach:
   
3. Sage "Rehabeam," dem Sohn "Salomos," dem König "Juda's," und dem ganzen "Israel," das in Juda und Benjamin "ist," und sprich: {~}
   
4. So spricht der HERR: Ihr sollt nicht hinaufziehen noch wider eure BrÜder streiten; ein jeglicher gehe wieder heim; denn das ist von mir geschehen. Sie gehorchten dem HERRN und ließen ab von dem Zug wider Jerobeam. {~} {~}
   
5. Rehabeam aber wohnte zu Jerusalem und baute Städte zu Festungen in "Juda,"
   

1. When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mustered the house of Judah and Benjamin--a hundred and eighty thousand fighting men--to make war against Israel and to regain the kingdom for Rehoboam.
   
2. But this word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God:
   
3. "Say to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and to all the Israelites in Judah and Benjamin,
   
4. 'This is what the LORD says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.'" So they obeyed the words of the LORD and turned back from marching against Jeroboam.
   
5. Rehoboam lived in Jerusalem and built up towns for defense in Judah:
   

6. 곧 베들레헴과, 에담과, 드고아와,
   
7. 벧술과, 소고와, 아둘람과,
   
8. 가드와, ^ㅐ마레사와, 십과,
   
9. 아도라임과, 라기스와, 아세가와,
   
10. 소라와, 아얄론과, 헤브론이니 다 유다와 베냐민 땅에 있어 堅固(견고)한 城邑(성읍)이라
    

6. nämlich: "Bethlehem," "Etam," "Thekoa,"
   
7. Beth-Zur, "Socho," "Adullam,"
   
8. Gath, "Maresa," "Siph,"
   
9. Adoraim, "Lachis," "Aseka,"
   
10. Zora, Ajalon und "Hebron," welche waren die festen Städte in Juda und Benjamin;
    

6. Bethlehem, Etam, Tekoa,
   
7. Beth Zur, Soco, Adullam,
   
8. Gath, Mareshah, Ziph,
   
9. Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah,
   
10. Zorah, Aijalon and Hebron. These were fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.
    

11. 르호보암이 이 모든 城邑(성읍)을 더욱 堅固(견고)케 하고 長官(장관)을 그 가운데 두고 糧食(량식)과 기름과 葡萄酒(포도주)를 貯蓄(저축)하고
    
12. 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에 防牌(방패)와 槍(창)을 두어 甚(심)히 强(강)하게 하니라 유다와 베냐민이 르호보암에게 屬(속)하였더라
    
13. 온 이스라엘의 祭司長(제사장)과 레위 사람이 그 모든 地方(지방)에서부터 르호보암에게 돌아오되
    
14. 레위 사람이 ^ㄱ그 鄕里(향리)와 産業(산업)을 떠나 유다와 예루살렘에 이르렀으니 ^ㄴ이는 여로보암과 그 아들들이 저희를 廢(폐)하여 여호와께 祭司長(제사장)의 職分(직분)을 行(행)치 못하게 하고
    
15. 여로보암이 여러 山堂(산당)과 수염소 偶像(우상)과 ^ㄷ自己(자기)가 만든 송아지 偶像(우상)을 爲(위)하여 ^ㄹ스스로 祭司長(제사장)들을 세움이라
    

11. und machte sie stark und setzte FÜrsten darein und Vorrat von "Speise," Öl und Wein.
    
12. Und in allen Städten schaffte er Schilde und Spieße und machte sie sehr stark. Juda und Benjamin waren unter ihm.
    
13. Auch machten sich zu ihm die Priester und Leviten aus ganz Israel und allem Gebiet; {~}
    
14. denn die Leviten verließen ihre Vorstädte und Habe und kamen zu Juda gen Jerusalem. Denn Jerobeam und seine Söhne verstießen "sie," daß sie vor dem HERRN nicht des Priesteramtes pflegen konnten.
    
15. Er stiftete sich aber Priester zu den Höhen und zu den Feldteufeln und "Kälbern," die er machen ließ.
    

11. He strengthened their defenses and put commanders in them, with supplies of food, olive oil and wine.
    
12. He put shields and spears in all the cities, and made them very strong. So Judah and Benjamin were his.
    
13. The priests and Levites from all their districts throughout Israel sided with him.
    
14. The Levites even abandoned their pasturelands and property, and came to Judah and Jerusalem because Jeroboam and his sons had rejected them as priests of the LORD.
    
15. And he appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat and calf idols he had made.
    

16. ^ㅁ이스라엘 모든 支派(지파) 中(중)에 마음을 오로지하여 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 求(구)하는 者(자)들이 레위 사람을 따라 예루살렘에 이르러 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와께 祭祀(제사)하고자 한지라
    
17. ^ㅂ그러므로 三年(삼년)동안 유다 나라를 도와 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암을 强盛(강성)하게 하였으니 이는 무리가 三年(삼년)을 다윗과 솔로몬의 길로 行(행)하였음이더라
    
18. 르호보암이 다윗의 아들 여리못의 딸 마할랏으로 아내를 삼았으니 마할랏은 이새의 아들 ^ㅅ엘리압의 딸 아비하일의 所生(소생)이라
    
19. 그가 아들들 곧 여우스와 스마랴와 사함을 낳았으며
    
20. 그 後(후)에 압살롬의 딸 ^ㅇ마아가에게 장가들었더니 저가 ^ㅈ아비야와 앗대와 시사와 슬로밋을 낳았더라
    

16. Und nach ihnen kamen aus allen Stämmen "Israels," die ihr Herz "gaben," daß sie nach dem "HERRN," dem Gott "Israels," "fragten," gen "Jerusalem," daß sie opferten dem "HERRN," dem Gott ihrer Väter.
    
17. Und stärkten also das Königreich Juda und befestigten "Rehabeam," den Sohn "Salomos," drei Jahre lang; denn sie wandelten in den Wegen Davids und Salomos drei Jahre.
    
18. Und Rehabeam nahm "Mahalath," die Tochter "Jerimoths," des Sohnes "Davids," zum Weibe und "Abihail," die Tochter "Eliabs," des Sohnes Isais.
    
19. Die gebar ihm diese Söhne: "Jeus," Semarja und Saham.
    
20. Nach der nahm er "Maacha," die Tochter Absaloms; die gebar ihm "Abia," "Atthai," Sisa und Selomith.
    

16. Those from every tribe of Israel who set their hearts on seeking the LORD, the God of Israel, followed the Levites to Jerusalem to offer sacrifices to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
    
17. They strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon three years, walking in the ways of David and Solomon during this time.
    
18. Rehoboam married Mahalath, who was the daughter of David's son Jerimoth and of Abihail, the daughter of Jesse's son Eliab.
    
19. She bore him sons: Jeush, Shemariah and Zaham.
    
20. Then he married Maacah daughter of Absalom, who bore him Abijah, Attai, Ziza and Shelomith.
    

21. 르호보암이 아내 十八(십팔)과 妾(첩) 六十(육십)을 取(취)하여 아들 二十八(이십팔)과 딸 六十(육십)을 낳았으나 압살롬의 딸 마아가를 모든 妻妾(처첩)보다 더 사랑하여
    
22. ^ㅊ마아가의 아들 아비야를 세워 長子(장자)를 삼아 兄弟(형제) 中(중)에 머리가 되게 하였으니 이는 저로 王(왕)이 되게 하고자 함이라
    
23. 르호보암이 智慧(지혜)롭게 行(행)하여 그 모든 아들을 유다와 베냐민의 온 땅 모든 堅固(견고)한 城邑(성읍)에 흩어 살게 하고 糧食(량식)을 厚(후)히 주고 아내를 많이 求(구)하여 주었더라
    

21. Aber Rehabeam hatte "Maacha," die Tochter "Absaloms," lieber denn alle seine Weiber und Kebsweiber; denn er hatte achtzehn Weiber und sechzig Kebsweiber und zeugte achtundzwanzig Söhne und sechzig Töchter.
    
22. Und Rehabeam setzte "Abia," den Sohn "Maachas," zum Haupt und FÜrsten unter seinen BrÜdern; denn er gedachte ihn zum König zu machen.
    
23. Und er handelte klÜglich und verteilte alle seine Söhne in die Lande Juda und Benjamin in alle festen "Städte," und er gab ihnen Nahrung die Menge und nahm ihnen viele Weiber. {~}
    

21. Rehoboam loved Maacah daughter of Absalom more than any of his other wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
    
22. Rehoboam appointed Abijah son of Maacah to be the chief prince among his brothers, in order to make him king.
    
23. He acted wisely, dispersing some of his sons throughout the districts of Judah and Benjamin, and to all the fortified cities. He gave them abundant provisions and took many wives for them.
