1. ^ㄷ요아스가 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 七歲(칠세)라 예루살렘에서 四十年(사십년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 시비아라 브엘세바 사람이더라
   
2. 祭司長(제사장) 여호야다가 世上(세상)에 사는 모든 날에 ^ㄹ요아스가 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하였으며
   
3. 여호야다가 王(왕)으로 두 아내에게 장가들게 하였더니 子女(자녀)를 낳았더라
   
4. 그 後(후)에 요아스가 ^ㅁ여호와의 殿(전)을 重修(중수)할 ^ㅂ뜻을 두고
   
5. 祭司長(제사장)과 레위 사람을 모으고 저희에게 이르되 너희는 유다 여러 城邑(성읍)에 가서 ^ㅅ이스라엘 무리에게 해마다 너희 하나님의 殿(전)을 修理(수리)할 돈을 거두되 그 일을 빨리 하라 하였으나 레위 사람이 빨리 하지 아니한지라
   

1. Joas war sieben Jahre "alt," da er König "ward," und regierte vierzig Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Zibja von Beer-Seba.
   
2. Und Joas "tat," was dem HERRN wohl "gefiel," solange der Priester Jojada lebte.
   
3. Und Jojada gab ihm zwei "Weiber," und er zeugte Söhne und Töchter.
   
4. Darnach nahm sich Joas vor das Haus des HERRN zu "erneuern," {~} {~} {~}
   
5. und versammelte die Priester und Leviten und sprach zu ihnen: Ziehet aus zu allen Städten Juda's und sammelt Geld aus ganz "Israel," das Haus eures Gottes zu bessern "jährlich," und "eilet," solches zu tun. Aber die Leviten eilten nicht. {~} {~}
   

1. Joash was seven years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem forty years. His mother's name was Zibiah; she was from Beersheba.
   
2. Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the years of Jehoiada the priest.
   
3. Jehoiada chose two wives for him, and he had sons and daughters.
   
4. Some time later Joash decided to restore the temple of the LORD.
   
5. He called together the priests and Levites and said to them, "Go to the towns of Judah and collect the money due annually from all Israel, to repair the temple of your God. Do it now." But the Levites did not act at once.
   

6. 王(왕)이 大祭司長(대제사장) 여호야다를 불러 이르되 네가 어찌하여 레위 사람을 시켜서 여호와의 종 ^ㅇ모세와 이스라엘의 會衆(회중)이 ^ㅈ法幕(법막)을 爲(위)하여 定(정)한 稅(세)를 유다와 예루살렘에서 거두게 하지 아니하였느냐 하니
   
7. 이는 그 ^ㅊ惡(악)한 女人(녀인) 아달랴의 아들들이 하나님의 殿(전)을 깨뜨리고 또 ^ㅋ여호와의 殿(전)의 모든 聖物(성물)을 바알들에게 드렸음이었더라
   
8. 이에 王(왕)이 命(명)하여 한 櫃(궤)를 만들어 여호와의 殿(전) 門(문)밖에 두게 하고
   
9. ^ㅌ유다와 예루살렘에 頒布(반포)하여 하나님의 종 모세가 曠野(광야)에서 이스라엘에게 定(정)한 稅(세)를 여호와께 드리라 하였더니
   
10. 모든 方伯(방백)과 百姓(백성)들이 기뻐하며 마치기까지 돈을 가져다가 櫃(궤)에 던진지라
    

6. Da rief der König "Jojada," den "Vornehmsten," und sprach zu ihm: Warum hast du nicht acht auf die "Leviten," daß sie einbringen von Juda und Jerusalem die "Steuer," die "Mose," der Knecht des "HERRN," gesetzt "hat," die man sammelte unter Israel zu der HÜtte des Stifts?
   
7. Denn die gottlose Athalja und ihre Söhne haben das Haus Gottes "zerrissen," und "alles," was zum Hause des HERRN geheiligt "war," haben sie an die Baalim gebracht.
   
8. Da befahl der "König," daß man eine Lade machte und setzte sie außen ins Tor am Hause des "HERRN,"
   
9. und ließ ausrufen in Juda und zu "Jerusalem," daß man dem HERRN einbringen sollte die "Steuer," die von "Mose," dem Knecht "Gottes," auf Israel gelegt war in der WÜste.
   
10. Da freuten sich alle Obersten und alles Volk und brachten's und warfen's in die "Lade," bis sie voll ward.
    

6. Therefore the king summoned Jehoiada the chief priest and said to him, "Why haven't you required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalem the tax imposed by Moses the servant of the LORD and by the assembly of Israel for the Tent of the Testimony?"
   
7. Now the sons of that wicked woman Athaliah had broken into the temple of God and had used even its sacred objects for the Baals.
   
8. At the king's command, a chest was made and placed outside, at the gate of the temple of the LORD.
   
9. A proclamation was then issued in Judah and Jerusalem that they should bring to the LORD the tax that Moses the servant of God had required of Israel in the desert.
   
10. All the officials and all the people brought their contributions gladly, dropping them into the chest until it was full.
    

11. 언제든지 레위 사람들이 櫃(궤)를 메고 王(왕)의 有司(유사)에게 가서 돈이 많은 것을 보면 王(왕)의 書記官(서기관)과 大祭司長(대제사장)에게 屬(속)한 衙前(아전)이 와서 그 櫃(궤)를 쏟고 다시 그 處所(처소)에 갖다 두었더라 때때로 이렇게 하여 돈을 많이 거두매
    
12. 王(왕)과 여호야다가 그 돈을 여호와의 殿(전) 幹役者(간역자)에게 주어 石手(석수)와 木手(목수)를 雇傭(고용)하여 여호와의 殿(전)을 重數(중수)하며 또 鐵工匠(철공장)과 놋工匠(공장)을 雇傭(고용)하여 여호와의 殿(전)을 修理(수리)하게 하였더니
    
13. ^ㅍ工匠(공장)들이 맡아서 修理(수리)하는 役事(역사)가 漸漸(점점) 進就(진취)되므로 하나님의 殿(전)을 以前(이전) 模樣(모양)대로 堅固(견고)케 하니라
    
14. 畢役(필역)한 後(후)에 그 남은 돈을 王(왕)과 여호야다의 앞으로 가져온 故(고)로 ^ㅎ그것으로 여호와의 殿(전)에 쓸 그릇을 만들었으니 곧 섬겨 祭祀(제사) 드리는 그릇이며 또 숟가락과 金(금),銀(은) 그릇들이라 여호야다가 世上(세상)에 사는 모든 날에 여호와의 殿(전)에 恒常(항상) 燔祭(번제)를 드렸더라
    
15. 여호야다가 나이 많고 늙어서 죽으니 죽을 때에 一百(일백) 三十歲(삼십세)라
    

11. Und wenn's Zeit "war," daß man die Lade herbringen sollte durch die Leviten nach des Königs Befehl (wenn sie "sahen," daß viel Geld darin "war)," so kam der Schreiber des Königs und wer vom vornehmsten Priester Befehl "hatte," und schÜttete die Lade aus und trugen sie wieder an ihren Ort. So taten sie alle "Tage," daß sie Geld die Menge zuhauf brachten.
    
12. Und der König und Jojada gaben's den "Werkmeistern," die da schaffen am Hause des HERRN; dieselben dingten Steinmetzen und "Zimmerleute," zu erneuern das Haus des HERRN; auch Meister in Eisen und "Erz," zu bessern das Haus des HERRN. {~}
    
13. Und die Arbeiter "arbeiteten," daß die Besserung im Werk zunahm durch ihre "Hand," und machten das Haus Gottes ganz fertig und wohl zugerichtet. {~}
    
14. Und da sie es vollendet "hatten," brachten sie das Übrige Geld vor den König und Jojada; davon machte man Gefäße zum Hause des "HERRN," Gefäße zum Dienst und zu "Brandopfern," Löffel und goldene und silberne Geräte. Und sie opferten Brandopfer bei dem Hause des HERRN "allewege," solange Jojada lebte.
    
15. Und Jojada ward alt und des Lebens satt un㼠˾ 㼠˾ 締ʸ ౠʉ 㾈˾ 㽀˾ 䀀 㽀˾ er starb.
    

11. Whenever the chest was brought in by the Levites to the king's officials and they saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this regularly and collected a great amount of money.
    
12. The king and Jehoiada gave it to the men who carried out the work required for the temple of the LORD. They hired masons and carpenters to restore the LORD'S temple, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the temple.
    
13. The men in charge of the work were diligent, and the repairs progressed under them. They rebuilt the temple of God according to its original design and reinforced it.
    
14. When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money to the king and Jehoiada, and with it were made articles for the LORD'S temple: articles for the service and for the burnt offerings, and also dishes and other objects of gold and silver. As long as Jehoiada lived, burnt offerings were presented continually in the temple of the LORD.
    
15. Now Jehoiada was old and full of years, and he died at the age of a hundred and thirty.
    

16. 무리가 다윗 城(성) ^ㅏ列王(열왕)의 墓室(묘실) 中(중)에 葬事(장사)하였으니 이는 저가 ^ㅑ이스라엘과 하나님과 그 殿(전)에 對(대)하여 善(선)을 行(행)하였음이더라
    
17. 여호야다가 죽은 後(후)에 유다 方伯(방백)들이 와서 王(왕)에게 절하매 王(왕)이 그의 말을 듣고
    
18. 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와의 殿(전)을 버리고 ^ㅓ아세라 木像(목상)과 偶像(우상)을 섬긴 故(고)로 이 罪(죄)로 因(인)하여 ^ㅕ震怒(진노)가 유다와 예루살렘에 臨(임)하니라
    
19. ^ㅗ그러나 여호와께서 先知者(선지자)를 저에게 보내사 다시 自己(자기)에게로 돌아오게 하려 하시매 ^ㅛ先知者(선지자)들이 저에게 警戒(경계)하나 듣지 아니하니라
    
20. ^ㅜ이에 하나님의 神(신)이 祭司長(제사장) ^ㅠ여호야다의 아들 스가랴를 感動(감동)시키시매 저가 百姓(백성) 앞에 높이 서서 저희에게 이르되 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 너희가 ^으어찌하여 여호와의 命令(명령)을 拒逆(거역)하여 스스로 亨通(형통)치 못하게 하느냐 하셨나니 ^이너희가 여호와를 버린故(고)로 여호와께서도 너희를 버리셨느니라 하나
    

16. Und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt Davids unter die "Könige," darum daß er hatte wohl getan an Israel und an Gott und seinem Hause.
    
17. Und nach dem Tode Jojadas kamen die Obersten von Juda und bÜckten sich vor dem König; da hörte der König auf sie.
    
18. Und sie verließen das Haus des "HERRN," des Gottes ihrer "Väter," und dienten den Ascherabildern und Götzen. Da kam der Zorn Über Juda und Jerusalem um dieser ihrer Schuld willen.
    
19. Er sandte aber Propheten zu "ihnen," daß sie sich zu dem HERRN bekehren "sollten," und die zeugten wider sie; aber sie nahmen's nicht zu Ohren.
    
20. Und der Geist Gottes erfÜllte "Sacharja," den Sohn "Jojadas," des Priesters. Der trat oben Über das Volk und sprach zu ihnen: So spricht Gott: Warum Übertretet ihr die Gebote des HERRN und wollt kein Gelingen haben? Denn ihr habt den HERRN "verlassen," so wird er euch wieder verlassen.
    

16. He was buried with the kings in the City of David, because of the good he had done in Israel for God and his temple.
    
17. After the death of Jehoiada, the officials of Judah came and paid homage to the king, and he listened to them.
    
18. They abandoned the temple of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and wor㼠˾ 㼠˾ 締ʸ ౠʉ 㾈˾ 㽀˾ 䀀 㽀˾ lt, God's anger came upon Judah and Jerusalem.
    
19. Although the LORD sent prophets to the people to bring them back to him, and though they testified against them, they would not listen.
    
20. Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, "This is what God says: 'Why do you disobey the LORD'S commands? You will not prosper. Because you have forsaken the LORD, he has forsaken you.'"
    

21. ^ㅐ무리가 함께 꾀하고 王(왕)의 命(명)을 좇아 여호와의 殿(전) 뜰 안에서 ^ㄱ돌로 쳐 죽였더라
    
22. 요아스 王(왕)이 이와 같이 스가랴의 아비 여호야다의 베푼 恩惠(은혜)를 생각지 아니하고 그 아들을 죽이니 저가 죽을 때에 이르되 여호와는 監察(감찰)하시고 ^ㄴ伸寃(신원)하여 주옵소서 하니라
    
23. 一週年(일주년) 後(후)에 ^ㄷ아람 軍隊(군대)가 요아스를 치려 하여 올라와서 유다와 예루살렘에 이르러 百姓(백성) 中(중)에서 그 모든 方伯(방백)을 滅絶(멸절)하고 擄略(노략)한 物件(물건)을 다메섹 王(왕)에게로 보내니라
    
24. 아람 軍隊(군대)가 적은 무리로 왔으나 ^ㄹ여호와께서 甚(심)히 큰 軍隊(군대)를 그 손에 붙이셨으니 이는 유다 사람이 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와를 버렸음이라 이와 같이 아람 사람이 ^ㅁ요아스를 懲罰(징벌)하였더라
    
25. 요아스가 크게 ^ㅂ傷(상)하매 敵軍(적군)이 버리고 간 後(후)에 그 信服(신복)들이 ^ㅅ祭司長(제사장) 여호야다의 아들들의 피로 因(인)하여 ^ㅇ謀叛(모반)하여 그 寢床(침상)에서 쳐 죽인지라 다윗城(성)에 葬事(장사)하였으나 ^ㅈ列王(열왕)의 墓室(묘실)에는 葬事(장사)하지 아니하였더라
    

21. Aber sie machten einen Bund wider ihn und steinigten "ihn," nach dem Gebot des "Königs," im Hofe am Hause des HERRN.
    
22. Und der König Joas gedachte nicht an die "Barmherzigkeit," die "Jojada," sein "Vater," an ihm getan "hatte," sondern erwÜrgte seinen Sohn. Da er aber "starb," sprach er: Der HERR wird's sehen und heimsuchen.
    
23. Und da das Jahr um "war," zog herauf das Heer der "Syrer," und sie kamen gen Juda und Jerusalem und brachten um alle Obersten im "Volk," und allen ihren Raub sandten sie dem König zu Damaskus. {~}
    
24. Denn der Syrer Macht kam mit wenig Männer; doch gab der HERR in ihre Hand eine sehr große "Macht," darum daß sie den "HERRN," den Gott ihrer "Väter," verlassen hatten. Auch Übten sie an Joas Strafe. {~}
    
25. Und da sie von ihm "zogen," ließen sie ihn in großer Krankheit zurÜck. Es machten aber seine Knechte einen Bund wider ihn um des Blutes willen der Kinder "Jojadas," des "Priesters," und erwÜrgten ihn auf seinem "Bett," und er starb. Und man begrub ihn in der Stadt "Davids," aber nicht in der Könige Gräbern. {~}
    

21. But they plotted against him, and by order of the king they stoned him to death in the courtyard of the LORD'S temple.
    
22. King Joash did not remember the kindness Zechariah's father Jehoiada had shown him but killed his son, who said as he lay dying, "May the LORD see this and call you to account."
    
23. At the turn of the year, the army of Aram marched against Joash; it invaded Judah and Jerusalem and killed all the leaders of the people. They sent all the plunder to their king in Damascus.
    
24. Although the Aramean army had come with only a few men, the LORD delivered into their hands a much larger army. Because Judah had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers, judgment was executed on Joash.
    
25. When the Arameans withdrew, they left Joash severely wounded. His officials conspired against him for murdering the son of Jehoiada the priest, and they killed him in his bed. So he died and was buried in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
    

26. 謀叛(모반)한 者(자)는 암몬 女人(녀인) 시므앗의 아들 시밧과 모압 女人(녀인) 시므릿의 아들 여호사밧이더라
    
27. 요아스의 아들들의 事蹟(사적)과 요아스의 重大(중대)한 警責(경책)을 받은 것과 ^ㅊ하나님의 殿(전) 重修(중수)한 事蹟(사적)은 다 ^ㅋ列王記(열왕기) 註釋(주석)에 記錄(기록)되니라 그 아들 아마샤가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
    

26. Die aber den Bund wider ihn "machten," waren diese: "Sabad," der Sohn "Simeaths," der "Ammonitin," und "Josabad," der Sohn "Simriths," der Moabitin.
    
27. Aber seine Söhne und die "Summe," die unter ihm gesammelt "ward," und der Bau des Hauses "Gottes," "siehe," die sind geschrieben in der Historie im Buche der Könige. Und sein Sohn Amazja ward König an seiner Statt.
    

26. Those who conspired against him were Zabad, son of Shimeath an Ammonite woman, and Jehozabad, son of Shimrith a Moabite woman.
    
27. The account of his sons, the many prophecies about him, and the record of the restoration of the temple of God are written in the annotations on the book of the kings. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.
