1. ^ㅅ요시야가 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 八歲(팔세)라 예루살렘에서 三十一年(삼십일년)을 治理(치리)하며
   
2. 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하여 그 祖上(조상) 다윗의 길로 行(행)하여 左右(좌우)로 치우치지 아니하고
   
3. 오히려 어렸을 때 곧 位(위)에 있은지 八年(팔년)에 그 祖上(조상) 다윗의 하나님을 비로소 求(구)하고 그 十二年(십이년)에 유다와 예루살렘을 비로소 淨潔(정결)케 하여 그 山堂(산당)과 ^ㅇ아세라 木像(목상)들과 아로새긴 偶像(우상)들과 부어 만든 偶像(우상)들을 除(제)하여 버리매
   
4. 무리가 王(왕)의 앞에서 바알들의 壇(단)을 毁破(훼파)하였으며 王(왕)이 또 그 壇(단) 위에 높이 달린 ^ㅈ太陽像(태양상)들을 찍고 또 아세라 木像(목상)들과 아로새긴 偶像(우상)들과 부어 만든 偶像(우상)들을 빻아 가루를 만들어 거기 祭祀(제사)하던 者(자)들의 무덤에 뿌리고
   
5. ^ㅊ祭司長(제사장)들의 뼈를 壇(단) 위에서 불살라 유다와 예루살렘을 淨潔(정결)케 하였으며
   

1. Acht Jahre alt war "Josia," da er König "ward," und regierte einunddreißig Jahre zu Jerusalem
   
2. und "tat," was dem HERRN wohl "gefiel," und wandelte in den Wegen seines Vaters David und wich weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken.
   
3. Denn im achten Jahr seines "Königreichs," da er noch jung "war," fing er an zu suchen den Gott seines Vaters "David," und im zwölften Jahr fing e巀˷ 巀˷ 뀰ˣ 䘐ʧ 帨˷ 巠˷ 䀀 巠˷ d Ascherabildern und Götzen und gegossenen Bildern
   
4. und ließ vor sich abbrechen die Altäre der "Baalim," und die Sonnensäulen obendrauf hieb er "ab," und die Ascherabilder und Götzen und gegossenen Bilder zerbrach er und machte sie zu Staub und streute sie auf die Gräber "derer," die ihnen geopfert "hatten," {~}
   
5. und verbrannte die Gebeine der Priester auf ihren Altären und reinigte also Juda und "jerusalem,"
   

1. Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years.
   
2. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.
   
3. In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David. In his twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of high places, Asherah poles, carved idols and cast images.
   
4. Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above them, and smashed the Asherah poles, the idols and the images. These he broke to pieces and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
   
5. He burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and so he purged Judah and Jerusalem.
   

6. 또 므낫세와, 에브라임과, 시므온과, 납달리까지 ^ㅋ四面(사면) 荒廢(황폐)한 城邑(성읍)들에도 그렇게 行(행)하여
   
7. 壇(단)들을 毁破(훼파)하며 ^ㅌ아세라 木像(목상)들과 아로새긴 偶像(우상)들을 빻아 가루를 만들며 온 이스라엘 땅에 있는 모든 太陽像(태양상)을 찍고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
   
8. 요시야가 位(위)에 있은지 ^ㅍ十八年(십팔년)에 그 땅과 殿(전)을 淨潔(정결)케 하기를 마치고 그 하나님 여호와의 殿(전)을 修理(수리)하려 하여 아살랴의 아들 사반과, ^ㅎ府尹(부윤) 마아세야와, ^ㅏ書記官(서기관) 요아하스의 아들 요아를 보낸지라
   
9. 저희가 大祭司長(대제사장) ^ㅑ힐기야에게 나아가 前(전)에 하나님의 殿(전)에 捐補(연보)한 돈을 저에게 붙이니 이 돈은 門(문)을 지키는 레위 사람이 므낫세와 에브라임과 남아 있는 이스라엘 사람과 온 유다와 베냐민과 예루살렘 居民(거민)들에게서 거둔 것이라
   
10. 그 돈을 여호와의 殿(전) 役事(역사)를 監督(감독)하는 者(자)의 손에 붙이니 저희가 여호와의 殿(전)에 있는 工匠(공장)에게 주어 그 殿(전)을 修理(수리)하게 하되

7. Und da er die Altäre und Ascherabilder abgebrochen und die Götzen klein zermalmt und alle Sonnensäulen abgehauen hatte im ganzen Lande "Israel," kam er wieder gen Jerusalem. {~}
   
8. Im achtzehnten Jahr seines "Königreichs," da er das Land und das Haus gereinigt "hatte," sandte er "Saphan," den Sohn "Azaljas," und "Maaseja," den "Stadtvogt," und "Joah," den Sohn "Joahas," den "Kanzler," zu bessern das Haus des "HERRN," seines Gottes.
   
9. Und sie kamen zu dem Hohenpriester Hilkia; und man gab ihnen das "Geld," das zum Hause Gottes gebracht "war," welches die "Leviten," die an der Schwelle "hÜteten," gesammelt hatten von "Manasse," Ephraim und von allen Übrigen in Israel und vom ganzen Juda und Benjamin und von "denen," die zu Jerusalem wohnten; {~}
   
10. und sie gaben's den "Werkmeistern," die bestellt waren am Hause des HERRN. Die gaben's "denen," die da arbeiteten am Hause des "Herrn," wo es baufällig "war," daß sie das Haus "besserten," {~} {~} {~} {~} {~}
    

6. In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,
   
7. he tore down the altars and the Asherah poles and crushed the idols to powder and cut to pieces all the incense altars throughout Israel. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
   
8. In the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign, to purify the land and the temple, he sent Shaphan son of Azaliah and Maaseiah the ruler of the city, with Joah son of Joahaz, the recorder, to repair the temple of the LORD his God.
   
9. They went to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought into the temple of God, which the Levites who were the doorkeepers had collected from the people of Manasseh, Ephraim and the entire remnant of Israel and from all the people of Judah and Benjamin and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
   
10. Then they entrusted it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the LORD'S temple. These men paid the workers who repaired and restored the temple.
    

11. 곧 木手(목수)와 建築(건축)하는 者(자)에게 붙여 다듬은 돌과 連接(련접)하는 나무를 사며 유다 王(왕)들이 ^ㅓ헐어버린 殿(전)들을 爲(위)하여 들보를 만들게 하매
    
12. 그 사람들이 眞實(진실)히 그 일을 하니라 그 監督(감독)은 레위 사람 곧 므라리 子孫(자손) 中(중) 야핫과 오바댜요, 그핫 子孫(자손) 中(중) 스가랴와, 무술람이라 다 그 일을 主掌(주장)하고 ^ㅕ또 音樂(음악)에 익숙한 레위 사람이 함께 하였으며
    
13. 저희가 또 ^ㅗ擔負(담부)하는 者(자)를 管轄(관할)하며 凡百(범백) 工匠(공장)을 董督(동독)하고 어떤 레위 사람은 書記(서기)와 官吏(관리)와 門(문)지기가 되었더라
    
14. 무리가 여호와의 殿(전)에 捐補(연보)한 돈을 꺼낼 때에 祭司長(제사장) 힐기야가 모세의 傳(전)한 여호와의 律法冊(률법책)을 發見(발견)하고
    
15. 書記官(서기관) 사반에게 일러 가로되 내가 여호와의 殿(전)에서 律法冊(률법책)을 發見(발견)하였노라 하고 그 冊(책)을 사반에게 주매
    

11. nämlich den Zimmerleuten und "Bauleuten," gehauene Steine zu kaufen und Holz zu Klammern und Balken an den "Häusern," welche die Könige Juda's verderbt hatten.
    
12. Und die Männer arbeiteten am Werk treulich. Und es waren Über sie verordnet Jahath und "Obadja," die Leviten aus den Kindern "Meraris," Sacharja und Mesullam aus den Kindern der "Kahathiten," das Werk zu treiben (und waren alle "Leviten," die des Saitenspiels kundig waren).
    
13. Aber Über die Lastträger und Treiber zu allerlei Arbeit in allen ihren Ämtern waren aus den Leviten die "Schreiber," Amtleute und TorhÜter.
    
14. Und da sie das Geld "herausnahmen," das zum Hause des HERRN eingelegt "war," fand "Hilkia," der "Priester," das Buch des Gesetzes des "HERRN," das durch Mose gegeben war.
    
15. Und Hilkia antwortete und sprach zu "Saphan," dem Schreiber: Ich habe das Gesetzbuch gefunden im Hause des HERRN. Und Hilkia gab das Buch Saphan.
    

11. They also gave money to the carpenters and builders to purchase dressed stone, and timber for joists and beams for the buildings that the kings of Judah had allowed to fall into ruin.
    
12. The men did the work faithfully. Over them to direct them were Jahath and Obadiah, Levites descended from Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam, descended from Kohath. The Levites--all who were skilled in playing musical instruments--
    
13. had charge of the laborers and supervised all the workers from job to job. Some of the Levites were secretaries, scribes and doorkeepers.
    
14. While they were bringing out the money that had been taken into the temple of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the LORD that had been given through Moses.
    
15. Hilkiah said to Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the LORD." He gave it to Shaphan.
    

16. 사반이 冊(책)을 가지고 王(왕)에게 나아가서 復命(복명)하여 가로되 王(왕)께서 종들에게 命(명)하신 것을 종들이 다 遵行(준행)하였나이다
    
17. 또 여호와의 殿(전)에 있던 돈을 쏟아서 監督者(감독자)와 工匠(공장)의 손에 붙였나이다 하고
    
18. 書記官(서기관) 사반이 또 王(왕)에게 告(고)하여 가로되 祭司長(제사장) 힐기야가 내게 冊(책)을 주더이다 하고 사반이 王(왕)의 앞에서 읽으매
    
19. 王(왕)이 律法(률법)의 말씀을 듣자 곧 自己(자기) ^ㅛ옷을 찢더라
    
20. 王(왕)이 힐기야와 사반의 아들 아히감과, 미가의 아들 압돈과, 書記官(서기관) 사반과, 王(왕)의 侍臣(시신) 아사야에게 命(명)하여 가로되
    

16. Saphan aber brachte es zum König und gab dem König Bericht und sprach: "Alles," was unter die Hände deiner Knechte gegeben "ist," das machen sie.
    
17. Und sie haben das Geld zuhauf "geschÜttet," das im Hause des HERRN gefunden "ist," und haben's gegeben "denen," die verordnet "sind," und den Arbeitern. {~} {~} {~} {~}
    
18. Und "Saphan," der "Schreiber," sagte dem König an und sprach: "Hilkia," der "Priester," hat mir ein Buch gegeben. Und Saphan las daraus vor dem König.
    
19. Und da der König die Worte des Gesetzes "hörte," zerriß er seine Kleider.
    
20. Und der König gebot Hilkia und "Ahikam," dem Sohn "Saphans," und "Abdon," dem Sohn "Michas," und "Saphan," dem "Schreiber," und "Asaja," dem Knecht des "Königs," und sprach:
    

16. Then Shaphan took the book to the king and reported to him: "Your officials are doing everything that has been committed to them.
    
17. They have paid out the money that was in the temple of the LORD and have entrusted it to the supervisors and workers."
    
18. Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, "Hilkiah the priest has given me a book." And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.
    
19. When the king heard the words of the Law, he tore his robes.
    
20. He gave these orders to Hilkiah, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Abdon son of Micah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king's attendant:
    

21. 너희는 가서 나와 및 이스라엘과 유다의 남은 者(자)를 爲(위)하여 이 發見(발견)한 冊(책)의 말씀에 對(대)하여 여호와께 물으라 우리 列祖(열조)가 여호와의 말씀을 지키지 아니하고 이 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 모든 것을 遵行(준행)치 아니하였으므로 여호와께서 ^ㅜ우리에게 쏟으신 震怒(진노)가 크도다
    
22. 이에 힐기야와 王(왕)의 보낸 사람들이 女先知者(여선지자) 훌다에게로 나아가니 저는 하스라의 孫子(손자) 독핫의 아들 禮服(예복)을 主管(주관)하는 살룸의 아내라 예루살렘 둘째 區域(구역)에 居(거)하였더라 저희가 그에게 이 뜻으로 告(고)하매
    
23. 훌다가 저희에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀으로 너희는 너희를 내게 보낸 사람에게 告(고)하기를
    
24. 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이곳과 그 居民(거민)에게 災殃(재앙)을 내리되 곧 유다 王(왕) 앞에서 읽은 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 모든 詛呪(저주)대로 하리니
    
25. 이는 이 百姓(백성)이 나를 버리고 ^ㅠ다른 神(신)에게 焚香(분향)하며 그 손의 모든 所爲(소위)로 나의 怒(노)를 激發(격발)하였음이라 그러므로 나의 怒(노)를 이곳에 쏟으매 꺼지지 아니하리라 하라 하셨느니라
    

21. Gehet hin und fraget den HERRN fÜr mich und fÜr die Übrigen in Israel und Juda Über die Worte des "Buches," das gefunden ist; denn der Grimm des HERRN ist "groß," der Über uns entbrannt "ist," daß unsre Väter nicht gehalten haben das Wort des "HERRN," daß sie "täten," wie geschrieben steht in diesem Buch. {~}
    
22. Da ging Hilkia hin samt den "andern," die der König gesandt "hatte," zu der Prophetin "Hulda," dem Weibe "Sallums," des Sohnes "Thokehaths," des Sohnes "Hasras," des "KleiderhÜters," die zu Jerusal巀˷ 巀˷ 뀰ˣ 䘐ʧ 帨˷ 巠˷ 䀀 巠˷ ihr.
    
23. Und sie sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der "HERR," der Gott Israels: Saget dem "Manne," der euch zu mir gesandt hat:
    
24. So spricht der HERR: "Siehe," ich will UnglÜck bringen Über diesen Ort und die "Einwohner," alle die "FlÜche," die geschrieben stehen in dem "Buch," das man vor dem König Juda's gelesen "hat," {~}
    
25. darum daß sie mich verlassen haben und andern Göttern "geräuchert," daß sie mich erzÜrnten mit allerlei Werken ihrer Hände. Und mein Grimm ist entbrannt Über diesen Ort und soll nicht ausgelöscht werden.
    

21. "Go and inquire of the LORD for me and for the remnant in Israel and Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the LORD'S anger that is poured out on us because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written in this book."
    
22. Hilkiah and those the king had sent with him went to speak to the prophetess Huldah, who was the wife of Shallum son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the Second District.
    
23. She said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Tell the man who sent you to me,
    
24. 'This is what the LORD says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people--all the curses written in the book that has been read in the presence of the king of Judah.
    
25. Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and provoked me to anger by all that their hands have made, my anger will be poured out on this place and will not be quenched.'
    

26. 너희를 보내어 여호와께 묻게 한 유다 王(왕)에게는 너희가 이렇게 告(고)하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 네가 들은 말을 議論(의논)컨대
    
27. 내가 이곳과 그 居民(거민)을 가리켜 말한 것을 네가 듣고 마음이 連(연)하여 하나님 앞 곧 내 앞에서 兼備(겸비)하여 옷을 찢고 痛哭(통곡)하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라
    
28. 그러므로 내가 너로 너의 列祖(열조)에게 돌아가서 平安(평안)히 墓室(묘실)로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이곳과 그 居民(거민)에게 내리는 모든 災殃(재앙)을 네가 눈으로 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 使者(사자)들이 王(왕)에게 復命(복명)하니라
    
29. ^으王(왕)이 보내어 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 長老(장로)를 불러 모으고
    
30. 이에 여호와의 殿(전)에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 祭司長(제사장)들과 레위 사람들과 모든 百姓(백성)이 無論(무론) 老少(로소)하고 다 함께한지라 王(왕)이 여호와의 殿(전) 안에서 發見(발견)한 言約冊(언약책)의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
    

26. Und zum König "Juda's," der euch gesandt "hat," den HERRN zu "fragen," sollt ihr also sagen: So spricht der "HERR," der Gott "Israels," von den "Worten," die du gehört hast: {~}
    
27. Darum daß dein Herz weich geworden ist und hast dich gedemÜtigt vor "Gott," da du seine Worte hörtest wider diesen Ort und wider die "Einwohner," und hast dich vor mir gedemÜtigt und deine Kleider zerrissen und vor mir "geweint," so habe ich dich auch "erhört," spricht der HERR. {~} {~}
    
28. Siehe, ich will dich sammeln zu deinen "Vätern," daß du in dein Grab mit Frieden gesammelt "werdest," daß deine Augen nicht sehen all das "UnglÜck," das ich Über diesen Ort und die Einwohner bringen will. Und sie sagten's dem König wieder.
    
29. Da sandte der König hin und ließ zuhauf kommen alle Ältesten in Juda und Jerusalem.
    
30. Und der König ging hinauf ins Haus des HERRN und alle Männer Juda's und Einwohner zu "Jerusalem," die "Priester," die Leviten und alles "Volk," klein und groß; und wurden vor ihren Ohren gelesen alle Worte im Buch des "Bundes," das im Hause des HERRN gefunden war. {~}
    

26. Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:
    
27. Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the LORD.
    
28. Now I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place and on those who live here.'" So they took her answer back to the king.
    
29. Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
    
30. He went up to the temple of the LORD with the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, the priests and the Levites--all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the LORD.
    

31. 王(왕)이 自己(자기) ^이處所(처소)에 서서 여호와 앞에서 ^ㅐ言約(언약)을 세우되 마음을 다하고 性稟(성품)을 다하여 여호와를 順從(순종)하고 그 誡命(계명)과 法度(법도)와 律例(율례)를 지켜 이 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 言約(언약)의 말씀을 이루리라 하고
    
32. 예루살렘과 베냐민에 있는 者(자)들로 다 이에 參加(참가)하게 하매 예루살렘 居民(거민)이 하나님 곧 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님의 言約(언약)을 좇으니라
    
33. 이와 같이 요시야가 이스라엘 子孫(자손)에게 屬(속)한 모든 땅에서 ^ㄱ可憎(가증)한 것을 다 除(제)하여 버리고 이스라엘의 모든 사람으로 그 하나님 여호와를 섬기게 하였으므로 요시야가 사는 날에 百姓(백성)이 그 列祖(열조)의 하나님 여호와께 服從(복종)하고 떠나지 아니하였더라
    

31. Und der König trat an seinen Ort und machte einen Bund vor dem "HERRN," daß man dem HERRN nachwandeln "sollte," zu halten seine "Gebote," Zeugnisse und Rechte von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer "Seele," zu tun nach allen Worten des "Bundes," die gechrieben standen in diesem Buch. {~}
    
32. Und er ließ in den Bund treten "alle," die zu Jerusalem und in Benjamin vorhanden waren. Und die Einwohner zu Jerusalem taten nach dem Bund "Gottes," des Gottes ihrer Väter.
    
33. Und Josia tat weg alle Greuel aus allen Landen der Kinder Israel und "schaffte," daß "alle," die in Israel gefunden "wurden," dem "HERRN," ihrem "Gott," dienten. Solange Josia "lebte," wichen sie nicht von dem "HERRN," ihrer Väter Gott. {~}
    

31. The king stood by his pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD--to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, and to obey the words of the covenant written in this book.
    
32. Then he had everyone in Jerusalem and Benjamin pledge themselves to it; the people of Jerusalem did this in accordance with the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.
    
33. Josiah removed all the detestable idols from all the territory belonging to the Israelites, and he had all who were present in Israel serve the LORD their God. As long as he lived, they did not fail to follow the LORD, the God of their fathers.
