1. ^이이 모든 忠誠(충성)된 일 後(후)에 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립이 유다에 들어와서 堅固(견고)한 城邑(성읍)들을 向(향)하여 陣(진)을 치고 쳐서 取(취)하고자 한지라
   
2. 히스기야가 산헤립이 예루살렘을 치러 온 것을 보고
   
3. 그 方伯(방백)들과 勇士(용사)들로 더불어 議論(의논)하고 城(성) 밖에 모든 물 根源(근원)을 막고자 하매 저희가 돕더라
   
4. 이에 百姓(백성)이 많이 모여 모든 물 根源(근원)과 ^ㅐ땅으로 흘러가는 시내를 막고 이르되 어찌 앗수르 王(왕)들로 와서 많은 물을 얻게 하리요 하고
   
5. 히스기야가 勢力(세력)을 내어 ^ㄱ頹落(퇴락)한 城(성)을 重修(중수)하되 望臺(망대)까지 높이 쌓고 또 外城(외성)을 쌓고 ^ㄴ다윗 城(성)의 밀로를 堅固(견고)케 하고 兵器(병기)와 防牌(방패)를 많이 만들고
   

1. Nach diesen Geschichten und dieser Treue kam "Sanherib," der König von "Assyrien," und zog nach Juda und lagerten sich vor die festen Städte und "gedachte," sie zu sich zu reißen.
   
2. Und da Hiskia "sah," daß Sanherib kam und sein Angesicht stand zu streiten wider "Jerusalem,"
   
3. ward er Rats mit seinen Obersten und "Gewaltigen," zuzudecken die Wasser der "Brunnen," die draußen vor der Stadt waren; und sie halfen ihm.
   
4. Und es versammelte sich ein großes Volk und deckten zu alle Brunnen und den "Bach," der mitten durchs Land "fließt," und sprachen: Daß die Könige von Assyrien nicht viel Wasser "finden," wenn sie kommen.
   
5. Und er ward getrost und baute alle "Mauern," wo sie lÜckig "waren," und machte TÜrme darauf und baute draußen noch die andere Mauer und befestigte Millo an der Stadt Davids und machte viel Waffen und Schilde
   

1. After all that Hezekiah had so faithfully done, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified cities, thinking to conquer them for himself.
   
2. When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and that he intended to make war on Jerusalem,
   
3. he consulted with his officials and military staff about blocking off the water from the springs outside the city, and they helped him.
   
4. A large force of men assembled, and they blocked all the springs and the stream that flowed through the land. "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find plenty of water?" they said.
   
5. Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the supporting terraces of the City of David. He also made large numbers of weapons and shields.
   

6. 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관)들을 세워 百姓(백성)을 거느리게 하고 城門(성문) 廣場(광장) 自己(자기)에게로 무리를 모으고 ^ㄷ말로 慰勞(위로)하여 가로되
   
7. 너희는 ^ㄹ마음을 强(강)하게 하며 膽大(담대)히 하고 앗수르 王(왕)과 그 좇는 온 무리로 因(인)하여 ^ㅁ두려워 말며 놀라지 말라 ^ㅂ우리와 함께 하는 者(자)가 저와 함께 하는 者(자)보다 크니
   
8. 저와 함께하는 者(자)는 ^ㅅ肉身(육신)의 팔이요 ^ㅇ우리와 함께하는 者(자)는 우리의 하나님 여호와시라 반드시 우리를 도우시고 우리를 代身(대신)하여 싸우시리라 하매 百姓(백성)이 유다 王(왕) 히스기야의 말로 因(인)하여 安心(안심)하니라
   
9. 그 後(후)에 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립이 그 온 軍隊(군대)를 거느리고 라기스를 치며 그 信服(신복)을 예루살렘에 보내어 유다 王(왕) 히스기야와 예루살렘에 있는 유다 무리에게 告(고)하여 이르기를
   
10. 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립은 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘에 에워싸여 있으면서 무엇을 依賴(의뢰)하느냐
    

6. und setzte Hauptleute zum Streit Über das Volk und sammelte sie zu sich auf die breite Gasse am Tor der Stadt und redete herzlich mit ihnen und sprach: {~}
   
7. Seid getrost und "frisch," fÜrchtet euch nicht und zagt nicht vor dem König von Assyrien noch vor all dem "Haufen," der bei ihm ist; denn es ist ein Größerer mit uns als mit ihm: {~}
   
8. Mit ihm ist sein fleischlicher Arm; mit uns aber ist der "HERR," unser "Gott," daß er uns helfe und fÜhre den Streit. Und das Volk verließ sich auf die Worte "Hiskias," des Königs Juda's.
   
9. Darnach sandte "Sanherib," der König von "Assyrien," seine Knechte gen Jerusalem (denn er lag vor Lachis und alle seine Herrschaft mit ihm) zu "Hiskia," dem König "Juda's," und zum ganzen "Juda," das zu Jerusalem "war," und ließ ihm sagen: {~}
   
10. So spricht "Sanherib," der König von Assyrien: Wes vertröstet ihr "euch," die ihr wohnt in dem belagerten Jerusalem?
    

6. He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate and encouraged them with these words:
   
7. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.
   
8. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.
   
9. Later, when Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his forces were laying siege to Lachish, he sent his officers to Jerusalem with this message for Hezekiah king of Judah and for all the people of Judah who were there:
   
10. "This is what Sennacherib king of Assyria says: On what are you basing your confidence, that you remain in Jerusalem under siege?
    

11. 히스기야가 너희를 꾀어 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 앗수르 王(왕)의 손에서 건져내시리라 하거니와 이 어찌 너희로 주림과 목마름으로 죽게 함이 아니냐
    
12. ^ㅈ이 히스기야가 여호와의 山堂(산당)들과 壇(단)들을 除(제)하여 버리고 유다와 예루살렘에 命(명)하여 이르기를 너희는 다만 한 壇(단) 앞에서 敬拜(경배)하고 그 위에 焚香(분향)하라 하지 아니하였느냐
    
13. 나와 내 列祖(열조)가 異邦(이방) 모든 百姓(백성)에게 行(행)한 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 列邦(열방)의 神(신)들이 能(능)히 그 땅을 나의 손에서 건져 낼수 있었느냐
    
14. 나의 列祖(열조)가 殄滅(진멸)한 列國(렬국)의 그 모든 神(신) 中(중)에 누가 能(능)히 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 건져 내었기에 너희 하나님이 能(능)히 너희를 내 손에서 건지겠느냐
    
15. 그런즉 이와 같이 히스기야에게 속지 말라 꾀임을 받지 말라 저를 믿지도 말라 아무 百姓(백성)이나 아무 나라의 神(신)도 能(능)히 그 百姓(백성)을 나의 손과 나의 列祖(열조)의 손에서 건져내지 못하였나니 하물며 너희 하나님이 너희를 내 손에서 건져 내겠느냐 하였더라
    

11. Hiskia beredet "euch," daß er euch gebe in den Tod durch Hunger und "Durst," und spricht: Der "HERR," unser "Gott," wird uns erretten von der Hand des Königs von Assyrien. {~} {~}
    
12. Ist er nicht der "Hiskia," der seine Höhen und Altäre weggetan hat und gesagt zu Juda und Jerusalem: Vor einem Altar sollt ihr anbeten und darauf räuchern? {~}
    
13. Wißt ihr "nicht," was ich und meine Väter getan haben allen Völkern in den Ländern? Haben auch die Götter der Heiden in den Ländern können ihre Länder erretten von meiner Hand?
    
14. Wer ist unter allen Göttern dieser "Heiden," die meine Väter verbannt "haben," der sein Volk habe erretten können von meiner "Hand," daß euer Gott euch sollte erretten können aus meiner Hand?
    
15. So laßt euch nun Hiskia nicht betrÜgen und laßt euch durch solches nicht bereden und glaubt ihm nicht. Denn so kein Gott aller Heiden und Königreiche hat sein Volk können von meiner und meiner Väter Hände "erretten," so werden euch auch eure Götter nicht erretten können von meiner Hand. {~} {~}
    

11. When Hezekiah says, 'The LORD our God will save us from the hand of the king of Assyria,' he is misleading you, to let you die of hunger and thirst.
    
12. Did not Hezekiah himself remove this god's high places and altars, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, 'You must worship before one altar and burn sacrifices on it'?
    
13. "Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?
    
14. Who of all the gods of these nations that my fathers destroyed has been able to save his people from me? How then can your god deliver you from my hand?
    
15. Now do not let Hezekiah deceive you and mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your god deliver you from my hand!"
    

16. 산헤립의 信服(신복)들도 더욱 여호와 하나님과 그 종 히스기야를 誹謗(비방)하였으며
    
17. 산헤립이 또 便紙(편지)를 써서 보내어 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 辱(욕)하고 誹謗(비방)하여 이르기를 列邦(열방)의 神(신)들이 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내지 못한 것 같이 히스기야의 神(신)들도 그 百姓(백성)을 내 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내지 못하리라 하고
    
18. 산헤립의 臣下(신하)가 유다 方言(방언)으로 크게 소리질러 예루살렘 城(성) 위에 있는 百姓(백성)을 놀라게 하고 괴롭게 하여 그 城(성)을 取(취)하려 하였는데
    
19. 저희가 예루살렘의 하나님을 毁謗(훼방)하기를 사람의 손으로 지은 世上(세상) 百姓(백성)의 神(신)들을 毁謗(훼방)하듯 하였더라
    
20. 이러므로 히스기야 王(왕)이 아모스의 아들 先知者(선지자) 이사야로 더불어 하늘을 向(향)하여 부르짖어 祈禱(기도)하였더니
    

16. Dazu redeten seine Knechte noch mehr wider Gott den HERRN und wider seinen Knecht Hiskia.
    
17. Auch schrieb er "Briefe," Hohn zu sprechen dem "HERRN," dem Gott "Israels," und redete von ihm und sprach: Wie die Götter der Heiden in den Ländern Ihr Volk nicht haben errettet von meiner "Hand," so wird auch der Gott Hiskias sein Volk nicht erretten von meiner Hand.
    
18. Und sie riefen mit lauter Stimme auf jÜdisch zum Volk zu "Jerusalem," das auf der Mauer "war," sie furchtsam zu machen und zu "erschrecken," daß sie die Stadt "gewönnen,"
    
19. und redeten wider den Gott Jerusalems wie wider die Götter der Völker auf "Erden," die Menschenhände Werk waren.
    
20. Aber der König Hiskia und der Prophet "Jesaja," der Sohn des "Amoz," beteten dawider und schrieen gen Himmel.
    

16. Sennacherib's officers spoke further against the LORD God and against his servant Hezekiah.
    
17. The king also wrote letters insulting the LORD, the God of Israel, and saying this against him: "Just as the gods of the peoples of the other lands did not rescue their people from my hand, so the god of Hezekiah will not rescue his people from my hand."
    
18. Then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city.
    
19. They spoke about the God of Jerusalem as they did about the gods of the other peoples of the world--the work of men's hands.
    
20. King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to heaven about this.
    

21. 여호와께서 한 天使(천사)를 보내어 앗수르 王(왕)의 營(영)에서 모든 큰 勇士(용사)와 大將(대장)과 長官(장관)들을 滅(멸)하신지라 앗수르 王(왕)이 ^ㅊ얼굴이 뜨뜻하여 그 故國(고국)으로 돌아갔더니 그 神(신)의 殿(전)에 들어갔을 때에 그 몸에서 난 者(자)들이 거기서 칼로 죽였더라
    
22. 이와 같이 여호와께서 히스기야와 예루살렘 居民(거민)을 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립의 손과 모든 敵國(적국)의 손에서 救援(구원)하여 내사 四面(사면)으로 保護(보호)하시매
    
23. 여러 사람이 ^ㅋ禮物(예물)을 가지고 예루살렘에 와서 여호와께 드리고 또 寶物(보물)로 유다 王(왕) 히스기야에게 드린지라 이 後(후)부터 히스기야가 列國(렬국)의 눈에 尊待(존대)하게 되었더라
    
24. ^ㅌ그 때에 히스기야가 病(병)들어 죽게 된 故(고)로 여호와께 祈禱(기도)하매 여호와께서 그에게 對答(대답)하시고 또 異蹟(이적)으로 보이셨으나
    
25. 히스기야가 ^ㅍ마음이 驕慢(교만)하여 ^ㅎ그 받은 恩惠(은혜)를 報答(보답)지 아니하므로 ^ㅏ震怒(진노)가 저와 유다와 예루살렘에 臨(임)하게 되었더니
    

21. Und der HERR sandte einen "Engel," der vertilgte alle Gewaltigen des Heeres und FÜrsten und Obersten im Lager des Königs von "Assyrien," daß er mit Schanden wieder in sein Land zog. Und da er in seines Gottes Haus "ging," fällten ihn daselbst durchs "Schwert," die von seinem eigenen Leib gekommen waren. {~} {~}
    
22. Also half der HERR dem Hiskia und denen zu Jerusalem aus der Hand "Sanheribs," des Königs von "Assyrien," und aller andern und gab ihnen Ruhe "umher," {~} {~}
    
23. daß viele dem HERRN Geschenke brachten gen Jerusalem und Kleinode "Hiskia," dem König Juda's. Und er ward darnach erhoben vor allen Heiden. {~}
    
24. Zu der Zeit ward Hiskia todkrank. Und er bat den HERRN; der redete zu ihm und gab ihm ein Wunderzeichen.
    
25. Aber Hiskia vergalt "nicht," wie ihm gegeben war; denn sein Herz Überhob sich. Darum kam der Zorn Über ihn und Über Juda und Jerusalem. {~}
    

21. And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword.
    
22. So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Assyria and from the hand of all others. He took care of them on every side.
    
23. Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for Hezekiah king of Judah. From then on he was highly regarded by all the nations.
    
24. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign.
    
25. But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the LORD'S wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
    

26. ^ㅑ히스기야가 마음의 驕慢(교만)함을 뉘우치고 예루살렘 居民(거민)들도 그와 같이 하였으므로 여호와의 怒(노)가 히스기야의 生前(생전)에는 저희에게 臨(임)하지 아니하니라
    
27. 히스기야가 富(부)와 榮光(영광)이 極(극)한지라 이에 銀(은),金(금)과, 寶石(보석)과, 香品(향품)과, 防牌(방패)와, 온갖 ^ㅓ보배로운 그릇들을 爲(위)하여 國庫(국고)를 세우매
    
28. 穀食(곡식)과 새 葡萄酒(포도주)와 기름의 産物(산물)을 爲(위)하여 倉庫(창고)를 세우며 온갖 짐승의 외양간을 세우며 羊(양)떼의 우리를 갖추며
    
29. 羊(양)떼와 많은 소떼를 爲(위)하여 城邑(성읍)들을 세웠으니 이는 하나님이 저에게 財産(재산)을 甚(심)히 많이 주셨음이며
    
30. 이 히스기야가 또 ^ㅕ기혼의 윗 샘물을 ^ㅗ막아 그 아래로 좇아 다윗 城(성) 西便(서편)으로 곧게 引導(인도)하였으니 저의 모든 일이 亨通(형통)하였더라
    

26. Aber Hiskia demÜtigte "sich," daß sein Herz sich Überhoben "hatte," samt denen zu Jerusalem; darum kam der Zorn des HERRN nicht Über "sie," solange Hiskia lebte. {~}
    
27. Und Hiskia hatte sehr großen Reichtum und Ehre und machte sich Schätze von "Silber," "Gold," "Edelsteinen," "GewÜrzen," Schilden und allerlei köstlichem Geräte{~}
    
28. und Vorratshäuser zu dem Ertrag an "Getreide," Most und Öl und Ställe fÜr allerlei Vieh und HÜrden fÜr die "Schafe,"
    
29. und er baute sich Städte und hatte Vieh an Schafen und Rindern die Menge; denn Gott gab ihm sehr großes Gut.
    
30. Er ist der "Hiskia," der die obere Wasserquelle in Gihon zudeckte und leitete sie hinunter abendwärts von der Stadt Davids; denn Hiskia war glÜcklich in allen seinen Werken.
    

26. Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the LORD'S wrath did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.
    
27. Hezekiah had very great riches and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver and gold and for his precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuables.
    
28. He also made buildings to store the harvest of grain, new wine and oil; and he made stalls for various kinds of cattle, and pens for the flocks.
    
29. He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.
    
30. It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Gihon spring and channeled the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook.
    

31. 그러나 ^ㅛ바벨론 方伯(방백)들이 히스기야에게 使者(사자)를 보내어 ^ㅜ그 땅에서 나타난 異蹟(이적)을 물을 때에 하나님이 히스기야를 떠나시고 그 心中(심중)에 있는 것을 다 알고자 하사 ^ㅠ試驗(시험)하셨더라
    
32. 히스기야의 남은 行蹟(행적)과 그 모든 善(선)한 일이 아모스의 아들 先知者(선지자) ^으이사야의 默示冊(묵시책)과 ^이유다와 이스라엘 列王記(열왕기)에 記錄(기록)되니라
    
33. 히스기야가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 자매 온 유다와 예루살렘 居民(거민)이 저를 ^ㅐ다윗 子孫(자손)의 墓室(묘실) 中(중) 높은 곳에 葬事(장사)하여 저의 죽음에 尊敬(존경)함을 表(표)하였더라 그 아들 므낫세가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
    

31. Da aber die Botschafter der FÜrsten von Babel zu ihm gesandt "waren," zu fragen nach dem "Wunder," das im Lande geschehen "war," verließ ihn Gott "also," daß er ihn "versuchte," auf daß kund wÜrde "alles," was in seinem Herzen war.
    
32. Was aber mehr von Hiskia zu sagen ist und seine "Barmherzigkeit," "siehe," das ist geschrieben in dem Gesicht des Propheten "Jesaja," des Sohnes "Amoz," im Buche der Könige Juda's und Israels. {~}
    
33. Und Hiskia entschlief mit seinen "Vätern," und sie begruben "ihn," wo man hinangeht zu den Gräbern der Kinder Davids. Und ganz Juda und die zu Jerusalem taten ihm Ehre in seinem Tod. Und sein Sohn Manasse ward König an seiner Statt.
    

31. But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.
    
32. The other events of Hezekiah's reign and his acts of devotion are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
    
33. Hezekiah rested with his fathers and was buried on the hill where the tombs of David's descendants are. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him when he died. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.
