  1. 야곱이 發行(발행)하여 東方(동방) 사람의 땅에 이르러
  2. 본즉 들에 우물이 있고 그 곁에 羊(양) 세 떼가 누웠으니 이는 牧者(목자)들이 그 우물에서 물을 羊(양)떼에게 먹임이라 큰 돌로 우물 아구를 덮었다가
  3. 모든 떼가 모이면 그들이 우물 아구에서 돌을 옮기고 羊(양)에게 물을 먹이고는 如前(여전)히 우물 아구 그 자리에 돌을 덮더라
  4. 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 나의 兄弟(형제)여, 어디로서뇨 그들이 가로되 하란에서로라
  5. 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나홀의 孫子(손자) 라반을 아느냐 그들이 가로되 아노라

  1. Da hob Jakob seine Füße auf und ging in das "Land," das gegen Morgen "liegt," {~}
  2. und sah sich "um," und "siehe," da war ein Brunnen auf dem "Felde," und "siehe," drei Herden Schafe lagen dabei; denn von dem Brunnen pflegten sie die Herden zu "tränken," und ein großer Stein lag vor dem Loch des Brunnens.
  3. Und sie pflegten die Herden alle daselbst zu versammeln und den Stein von dem Brunnenloch zu wälzen und die Schafe zu tränken und taten alsdann den Stein wieder vor das Loch an seine Stätte. {~}
  4. Und Jakob sprach zu ihnen: Liebe "Brüder," wo seid ihr her? Sie antworteten: Wir sind von Haran.
  5. Er sprach zu ihnen: Kennt ihr auch "Laban," den Sohn Nahors? Sie antworteten: Wir kennen ihn wohl.
  1. Then Jacob continued on his journey and came to the land of the eastern peoples.
  2. There he saw a well in the field, with three flocks of sheep lying near it because the flocks were watered from that well. The stone over the mouth of the well was large.
  3. When all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds would roll the stone away from the well's mouth and water the sheep. Then they would return the stone to its place over the mouth of the well.
  4. Jacob asked the shepherds, "My brothers, where are you from?" "We're from Haran," they replied.
  5. He said to them, "Do you know Laban, Nahor's grandson?" "Yes, we know him," they answered.
  1. 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 그가 平安(평안)하냐 가로되 平安(평안)하니라 딸 라헬이 至今(지금) 羊(양)을 몰고 오느니라
  2. 야곱이 가로되 해가 아직 높은즉 짐승 모일 때가 아니니 羊(양)에게 물을 먹이고 가서 뜯기라
  3. 그들이 가로되 우리가 그리하지 못하겠노라 떼가 다 모이고 牧者(목자)들이 우물 아구에서 돌을 옮겨야 우리가 羊(양)에게 물을 먹이느리라
  4. 야곱이 그들과 말하는 中(중)에 라헬이 그 아비의 羊(양)과 함께 오니 그가 그의 羊(양)들을 침이었더라
  5. 야곱이 그 外三寸(외삼촌) 라반의 딸 라헬과 그 外三寸(외삼촌)의 羊(양)을 보고 나아가서 우물 아구에서 돌을 옮기고 外三寸(외삼촌) 라반의 羊(양)떼에게 물을 먹이고

  1. Er sprach: Geht es ihm auch wohl? Sie antworteten: Es geht ihm wohl; und "siehe," da kommt seine Tochter Rahel mit den Schafen.
  2. Er sprach: Es ist noch hoher Tag und ist noch nicht Zeit das Vieh einzutreiben; tränkt doch die Schafe und geht hin und weidet sie. {~}
  3. Sie antworteten: Wir können "nicht," bis daß alle Herden zusammengebracht werden und wir den Stein von des Brunnens Loch wälzen und also die Schafe tränken.
  4. Als er noch mit ihnen "redete," kam Rahel mit den Schafen ihres Vaters; denn sie hütete die Schafe.
  5. Da aber Jakob sah "Rahel," die Tochter "Labans," des Bruders seiner "Mutter," und die Schafe "Labans," des Bruders seiner "Mutter," trat er hinzu und wälzte den Stein von dem Loch des Brunnens und tränkte die Schafe "Labans," des Bruders seiner Mutter.
  1. Then Jacob asked them, "Is he well?" "Yes, he is," they said, "and here comes his daughter Rachel with the sheep."
  2. "Look," he said, "the sun is still high; it is not time for the flocks to be gathered. Water the sheep and take them back to pasture."
  3. "We can't," they replied, "until all the flocks are gathered and the stone has been rolled away from the mouth of the well. Then we will water the sheep."
  4. While he was still talking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess.
  5. When Jacob saw Rachel daughter of Laban, his mother's brother, and Laban's sheep, he went over and rolled the stone away from the mouth of the well and watered his uncle's sheep.

  2. 그에게 自己(자기)가 그의 아비의 甥姪(생질)이요 리브가의 아들됨을 告(고)하였더니 라헬이 달려가서 그 아비에게 告(고)하매
  3. 라반이 그 甥姪(생질) 야곱의 소식을 듣고 달려와서 그를 迎接(영접)하여 안고 입맞추고 自己(자기) 집으로 引導(인도)하여 들이니 야곱이 自己(자기)의 모든 일을 라반에게 告(고)하매
  4. 라반이 가로되 너는 참으로 나의 骨肉(골육)이로다 하였더라 야곱이 한달을 그와 함께 居(거)하더니
  5. 라반이 야곱에게 이르되 네가 비록 나의 甥姪(생질)이나 어찌 空(공)으로 내 일만 하겠느냐 무엇이 네 報酬(보수)겠느냐 내게 告(고)하라

  1. Und er küßte Rahel und weinte laut
  2. und sagte ihr "an," daß er ihres Vaters Bruder wäre und Rebekkas Sohn. Da lief sie und sagte es ihrem Vater an.
  3. Da aber Laban hörte von "Jakob," seiner Schwester "Sohn," lief er ihm entgegen und herzte und küßte ihn und führte ihn in sein Haus. Da erzählte er dem Laban alle diese Sachen. {~}
  4. Da sprach Laban zu ihm: "Wohlan," du bist mein Bein und mein Fleisch. Und da er einen Monat lang bei ihm gewesen "war,"
  5. sprach Laban zu Jakob: Wiewohl du mein Bruder "bist," solltest du mir darum umsonst dienen? Sage "an," was soll dein Lohn sein?
  1. Then Jacob kissed Rachel and began to weep aloud.
  2. He had told Rachel that he was a relative of her father and a son of Rebekah. So she ran and told her father.
  3. As soon as Laban heard the news about Jacob, his sister's son, he hurried to meet him. He embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his home, and there Jacob told him all these things.
  4. Then Laban said to him, "You are my own flesh and blood." After Jacob had stayed with him for a whole month,
  5. Laban said to him, "Just because you are a relative of mine, should you work for me for nothing? Tell me what your wages should be."
  1. 라반이 두 딸이 있으니 兄(형)의 이름은 레아요 아우의 이름은 라헬이라
  2. 레아는 眼力(안력)이 不足(부족)하고 라헬은 곱고 아리따우니
  3. 야곱이 라헬을 戀愛(련애)하므로 對答(대답)하되 내가 外三寸(외삼촌)의 작은 딸 라헬을 爲(위)하여 外三寸(외삼촌)에게 七年(칠년)을 奉事(봉사)하리이다
  4. 라반이 가로되 그를 네게 주는 것이 他人(타인)에게 주는 것보다 나으니 나와 함께 있으라
  5. 야곱이 라헬을 爲(위)하여 七年(칠년) 동안 라반을 奉事(봉사)하였으나 그를 戀愛(련애)하는 까닭에 七年(칠년)을 數日(수일) 같이 여겼더라

  1. Laban aber hatte zwei Töchter; die ältere hieß Lea und die jüngere Rahel. {~}
  2. Aber Lea hatte ein blödes "Gesicht," Rahel war hübsch und schön.
  3. Und Jakob gewann die Rahel lieb und sprach: Ich will dir sieben Jahre um "Rahel," deine jüngere "Tochter," dienen.
  4. Laban antwortete: Es ist "besser," ich gebe sie dir als einem andern; bleibe bei mir. {~} {~}
  5. Also diente Jakob um Rahel sieben "Jahre," und sie deuchten "ihn," als wären's einzelne "Tage," so lieb hatte er sie.
  1. Now Laban had two daughters; the name of the older was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
  2. Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel was lovely in form, and beautiful.
  3. Jacob was in love with Rachel and said, "I'll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel."
  4. Laban said, "It's better that I give her to you than to some other man. Stay here with me."
  5. So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.
  1. 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 내 期限(기한)이 찼으니 내 아내를 내게 주소서 내가 그에게 들어가겠나이다
  2. 라반이 그곳 사람을 다 모아 잔치하고
  3. 저녁에 그 딸 레아를 야곱에게로 데려가매 야곱이 그에게로 들어가니라
  4. 라반이 또 그 女(여)종 실바를 그 딸 레아에게 侍女(시녀)로 주었더라
  5. 야곱이 아침에 보니 레아라 라반에게 이르되 外三寸(외삼촌)이 어찌하여 내게 이같이 行(행)하셨나이까 내가 라헬을 爲(위)하여 外三寸(외삼촌)께 奉事(봉사)하지 아니하였나이까 外三寸(외삼촌)이 나를 속이심은 어찜이니이까

  1. Und Jakob sprach zu Laban: Gib mir nun mein "Weib," denn die Zeit ist "hier," daß ich zu ihr gehe.
  2. Da lud Laban alle Leute des Orts und machte ein Hochzeitsmahl.
  3. Des Abends aber nahm er seine Tochter Lea und brachte sie zu ihm; und er ging zu ihr.
  4. Und Laban gab seiner Tochter Lea seine Magd Silpa zur Magd.
  5. Des Morgens "aber," "siehe," da war es Lea. Und er sprach zu Laban: Warum hast du mir das getan? Habe ich dir nicht um Rahel gedient? Warum hast du mich denn betrogen?
  1. Then Jacob said to Laban, "Give me my wife. My time is completed, and I want to lie with her."
  2. So Laban brought together all the people of the place and gave a feast.
  3. But when evening came, he took his daughter Leah and gave her to Jacob, and Jacob lay with her.
  4. And Laban gave his servant girl Zilpah to his daughter as her maidservant.
  5. When morning came, there was Leah! So Jacob said to Laban, "What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn't I? Why have you deceived me?"
  1. 라반이 가로되 兄(형)보다 아우를 먼저 주는 것은 우리 地方(지방)에서 하지 아니하는 바이라
  2. 이를 爲(위)하여 七日(칠일)을 채우라 우리가 그도 네게 주리니 네가 그를 爲(위)하여 또 七年(칠년)을 내게 奉事(봉사)할지니라
  3. 야곱이 그대로 하여 그 七日(칠일)을 채우매 라반이 딸 라헬도 그에게 아내로 주고
  4. 라반이 또 그 女(여)종 빌하를 그 딸 라헬에게 주어 侍女(시녀)가 되게 하매
  5. 야곱이 또한 라헬에게로 들어갔고 그가 레아보다 라헬을 더 사랑하고 다시 七年(칠년)을 라반에게 奉事(봉사)하였더라

  1. Laban antwortete: Es ist nicht Sitte in unserm "lande," daß man die jüngere ausgebe vor der älteren.
  2. Halte mit dieser die Woche "aus," so will ich dir diese auch geben um den "Dienst," den du bei mir noch andere sieben Jahre dienen sollst.
  3. Jakob tat also und hielt die Woche aus. Da gab ihm Laban "Rahel," seine "Tochter," zum Weibe
  4. und gab seiner Tochter Rahel seine Magd Bilha zur Magd.
  5. Also ging er auch zu Rahel "ein," und hatte Rahel lieber als Lea; und diente bei ihm fürder die andern sieben Jahre.
  1. Laban replied, "It is not our custom here to give the younger daughter in marriage before the older one.
  2. Finish this daughter's bridal week; then we will give you the younger one also, in return for another seven years of work."
  3. And Jacob did so. He finished the week with Leah, and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel to be his wife.
  4. Laban gave his servant girl Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her maidservant.
  5. Jacob lay with Rachel also, and he loved Rachel more than Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven years.
  1. 여호와께서 레아에게 寵(총)이 없음을 보시고 그의 胎(태)를 여셨으나 라헬은 無子(무자)하였더라
  2. 레아가 孕胎(잉태)하여 아들을 낳고 그 이름을 르우벤이라 하여 가로되 여호와께서 나의 괴로움을 眷顧(권고)하셨으니 이제는 내 男便(남편)이 나를 사랑하리로다 하였더라
  3. 그가 다시 孕胎(잉태)하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 여호와께서 나의 寵(총)이 없음을 들으셨으므로 내게 이도 주셨도다 하고 그 이름을 시므온이라 하였으며
  4. 그가 또 孕胎(잉태)하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 내가 그에게 세 아들을 낳았으니 내 男便(남편)이 只今(지금)부터 나와 聯合(련합)하리로다 하고 그 이름을 레위라 하였으며
  5. 그가 또 孕胎(잉태)하여 아들을 낳고 가로되 내가 이제는 여호와를 讚頌(찬송)하리로다 하고 이로 因(인)하여 그가 그 이름을 유다라 하였고 그의 生産(생산)이 멈추었더라

  1. Da aber der HERR "sah," daß Lea unwert "war," machte er sie fruchtbar; Rahel aber war unfruchtbar.
  2. Und Lea ward schwanger und gebar einen Sohn; den hieß sie "Ruben," und sprach: Der HERR hat angesehen mein Elend; nun wird mich mein Mann liebhaben. {~} {~}
  3. Und ward abermals schwanger und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Der HERR hat "gehört," daß ich unwert "bin," und hat mir diesen auch gegeben. Und sie hieß ihn Simeon.
  4. Abermals ward sie schwanger und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Nun wird mein Mann mir doch zugetan "sein," denn ich habe ihm drei Söhne geboren. Darum hieß sie ihn Levi.
  5. Zum vierten ward sie schwanger und gebar einen Sohn und sprach: Nun will ich dem HERRN danken. Darum hieß sie ihn Juda. Und hörte "auf," Kinder zu gebären.
  1. When the LORD saw that Leah was not loved, he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.
  2. Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said, "It is because the LORD has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now."
  3. She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "Because the LORD heard that I am not loved, he gave me this one too." So she named him Simeon.
  4. Again she conceived, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "Now at last my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons." So he was named Levi.
  5. She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "This time I will praise the LORD." So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.
