1. 이 일 後(후)에 或(혹)이 요셉에게 告(고)하기를 네 父親(부친)이 病(병)들었다 하므로 그가 곧 두아들 므낫세와 에브라임과 함께 이르니
   
2. 或(혹)이 야곱에게 告(고)하되 네 아들 요셉이 네게 왔다 하매 이스라엘이 힘을 내어 寢床(침상)에 앉아
   
3. 요셉에게 이르되 以前(이전)에 가나안 땅 ^ㅕ루스에서 ^ㅗ全能(전능)한 하나님이 내게 나타나 福(복)을 許諾(허락)하여
   
4. 내게 이르시되 내가 너로 生育(생육)하게 하며 蕃盛(번성)하게 하여 네게서 많은 百姓(백성)이 나게 하고 내가 이 땅을 네 後孫(후손)에게 주어 ^ㅛ永遠(영원)한 基業(기업)이 되게 하리라 하셨느니라
   
5. 내가 애굽으로 와서 네게 이르기 前(전)에 애굽에서 ^ㅜ네게 낳은 두 아들 에브라임과 므낫세는 내 것이라 르우벤과 시므온처럼 ^ㅠ내 것이 될 것이요
   

1. Darnach ward Joseph gesagt: "Siehe," dein Vater ist krank. Und er nahm mit sich seine beiden "Söhne," Manasse und Ephraim.
   
2. Da ward's Jakob angesagt: "Siehe," dein Sohn Joseph kommt zu dir. Und Israel machte sich stark und setzte sich im Bette{~}
   
3. und sprach zu Joseph: Der allmächtige Gott erschien mir zu Lus im Lande Kanaan und segnete mich
   
4. und sprach zu mir: "Siehe," ich will dich wachsen lassen und mehren und will dich zum Haufen Volks machen und will dies Land zu eigen geben deinem Samen nach dir ewiglich.
   
5. So sollen nun deine zwei "Söhne," Ephraim und "Manasse," die dir geboren sind in "Ägyptenland," ehe ich hereingekommen bin zu "dir," mein sein gleich wie Ruben und Simeon. {~}
   

1. Some time later Joseph was told, "Your father is ill." So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him.
   
2. When Jacob was told, "Your son Joseph has come to you," Israel rallied his strength and sat up on the bed.
   
3. Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me
   
4. and said to me, 'I am going to make you fruitful and will increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.'
   
5. "Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine.
   

6. 이들 後(후)의 네 所生(소생)이 네 것이 될 것이며 그 産業(산업)은 그 兄(형)의 名義下(명의하)에서 함께 하리라
   
7. 내게 關(관)하여는 내가 以前(이전)에 내가 밧단에서 올 때에 ^으라헬이 나를 따르는 路中(노중) 가나안 땅에서 죽었는데 그곳은 에브랏까지 길이 오히려 隔(격)한 곳이라 내가 거기서 그를 에브랏 길에 葬事(장사)하였느니라 에브랏은 곧 베들레헴이라
   
8. 이스라엘이 요셉의 아들들을 보고 가로되 이들은 누구냐
   
9. 요셉이 그 아비에게 告(고)하되 ^이이는 하나님이 여기서 내게 주신 아들들이니이다 아비가 가로되 그들을 이끌어 ^ㅐ내 앞으로 나아오라 내가 그들에게 祝福(축복)하리라
   
10. 이스라엘의 ^ㄱ눈이 나이로 因(인)하여 어두워서 보지 못하더라 요셉이 두 아들을 이끌어 아비 앞으로 나아가니 ^ㄴ이스라엘이 그들에게 입맞추고 그들을 안고
    

6. Welche du aber nach ihnen "zeugest," sollen dein sein und genannt werden nach dem Namen ihrer Brüder in deren Erbteil.
   
7. Und da ich aus Mesopotamien kam starb mir Rahel im Lande Kanaan auf dem "Weg," da noch ein Feld Weges war gen Ephrath; und ich begrub sie daselbst an dem Wege "Ephraths," das nun Bethlehem heißt.
   
8. Und Israel sah die Söhne Josephs und sprach: Wer sind die?
   
9. Joseph antwortete seinem Vater: Es sind meine "Söhne," die mir Gott hier gegeben hat. Er sprach: Bringe sie her zu "mir," daß ich sie segne.
   
10. Denn die Augen Israels waren dunkel geworden vor "Alter," und er konnte nicht wohl sehen. Und er brachte sie zu ihm. Er aber küßte sie und herzte sie
    

6. Any children born to you after them will be yours; in the territory they inherit they will be reckoned under the names of their brothers.
   
7. As I was returning from Paddan, to my sorrow Rachel died in the land of Canaan while we were still on the way, a little distance from Ephrath. So I buried her there beside the road to Ephrath" (that is, Bethlehem).
   
8. When Israel saw the sons of Joseph, he asked, "Who are these?"
   
9. "They are the sons God has given me here," Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said, "Bring them to me so I may bless them."
   
10. Now Israel's eyes were failing because of old age, and he could hardly see. So Joseph brought his sons close to him, and his father kissed them and embraced them.
    

11. 요셉에게 이르되 ^ㄷ내가 네 얼굴을 보리라고는 뜻하지 못하였더니 하나님이 내게 네 所生(소생)까지 보이셨도다
    
12. 요셉이 아비 무릎 사이에서 두 아들을 물리고 땅에 엎드려 절하고
    
13. 右手(우수)로는 에브라임을 이스라엘의 左手(좌수)를 向(향)하게 하고 左手(좌수)로는 므낫세를 이스라엘의 右手(우수)를 向(향)하게 하고 이끌어 그에게 가까이 나아가매
    
14. ^ㄹ이스라엘이 右手(우수)를 次子(차자) 에브라임의 머리에 얹고 ^ㅁ左手(좌수)를 펴서 므낫세의 머리에 얹으니 므낫세는 長子(장자)라도 팔을 어긋맞겨 얹었더라
    
15. 그가 요셉을 爲(위)하여 祝福(축복)하여 가로되 ^ㅂ내 祖父(조부) 아브라함과 아버지 이삭의 섬기던 하나님, 나의 남으로부터 至今(지금)까지 나를 기르신 하나님,
    

11. und sprach zu Joseph: "Siehe," ich habe dein Angesicht "gesehen," was ich nicht gedacht hätte; und "siehe," Gott hat mich auch deinen Samen sehen lassen.
    
12. Und Joseph nahm sie von seinem Schoß und neigte sich zur Erde gegen sein Angesicht.
    
13. Da nahm sie Joseph "beide," Ephraim in seine rechte Hand gegen Israels linke Hand und Manasse in seine Linke Hand gegen Israels rechte "Hand," und brachte sie zu ihm.
    
14. Aber Israel streckte seine rechte Hand aus und legte sie auf "Ephraims," des "Jüngeren," Haupt und seine linke auf Manasses Haupt und tat wissend also mit seinen "Händen," denn Manasse war der Erstgeborene.
    
15. Und er segnete Joseph und sprach: Der "Gott," vor dem meine "Väter," Abraham und "Isaak," gewandelt "haben," der "Gott," der mein Hirte gewesen ist mein Leben lang bis auf diesen "Tag,"
    

11. Israel said to Joseph, "I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too."
    
12. Then Joseph removed them from Israel's knees and bowed down with his face to the ground.
    
13. And Joseph took both of them, Ephraim on his right toward Israel's left hand and Manasseh on his left toward Israel's right hand, and brought them close to him.
    
14. But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim's head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh's head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.
    
15. Then he blessed Joseph and said, "May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,
    

16. ^ㅅ나를 모든 患難(환난)에서 건지신 ^ㅇ使者(사자)께서 이 아이에게 福(복)을 주시오며 이들로 내 이름과 내 祖父(조부) 아브라함과 아버지 이삭의 ^ㅈ이름으로 稱(칭)하게 하시오며 이들로 世上(세상)에서 ^ㅊ蕃殖(번식)되게 하시기를 願(원)하나이다
    
17. 요셉이 ^ㅋ그 아비가 右手(우수)를 에브라임의 머리에 얹은 것을 보고 기뻐 아니하여 아비의 손을 들어 에브라임의 머리에서 므낫세의 머리로 옮기고자 하여
    
18. 그 아비에게 이르되 아버지여, 그리 마옵소서 이는 長子(장자)니 右手(우수)를 그 머리에 얹으소서
    
19. 아비가 許諾(허락)지 아니하여 가로되 나도 안다 내 아들아 나도 안다 그도 한 族屬(족속)이 되며 그도 크게 되려니와 ^ㅌ그 아우가 그보다 큰 者(자)가 되고 그 子孫(자손)이 여러 民族(민족)을 이루리라 하고
    
20. 그 날에 그들에게 祝福(축복)하여 가로되 이스라엘 族屬(족속)이 너로 祝福(축복)하기를 ^ㅍ하나님이 너로 에브라임 같고 므낫세같게 하시리라 하리라 하여 에브라임을 므낫세보다 앞세웠더라
    

16. der "Engel," der mich erlöst hat von allem "Übel," der segne diese "Knaben," daß sie nach meiner Väter Abrahams und "Isaaks," Namen genannt "werden," daß sie wachsen und viel werden auf Erden. {~}
    
17. Da aber Joseph "sah," daß sein Vater die rechte Hand auf Ephraims Haupt "legte," gefiel es ihm "übel," und er faßte seines Vaters "Hand," daß er sie von Ephraim Haupt auf Manasses Haupt "wendete,"
    
18. und sprach zu ihm: Nicht "so," mein Vater; dieser ist der "Erstgeborene," lege deine rechte Hand auf sein Haupt.
    
19. Aber sein Vater weigerte sich und sprach: Ich weiß "wohl," mein "Sohn," ich weiß wohl. Dieser soll auch ein Volk werden und wird groß sein; aber sein jüngerer Bruder wird größer denn er "werden," und sein Same wird ein großes Volk werden.
    
20. Also segnete er sie des Tages und sprach: Wer in Israel will jemand "segnen," der sage: Gott setze dich wie Ephraim und Manasse! und setzte also Ephraim Manasse vor.
    

16. the Angel who has delivered me from all harm--may he bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly upon the earth."
    
17. When Joseph saw his father placing his right hand on Ephraim's head he was displeased; so he took hold of his father's hand to move it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head.
    
18. Joseph said to him, "No, my father, this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head."
    
19. But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations."
    
20. He blessed them that day and said, "In your name will Israel pronounce this blessing: 'May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.'" So he put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh.
    

21. 이스라엘이 요셉에게 또 이르되 나는 죽으나 ^ㅎ하나님이 너희와 함께 계시사 너희를 引導(인도)하여 너희 祖上(조상)의 땅으로 돌아가게 하시려니와
    
22. 내가 ^ㅏ네게 네 兄弟(형제)보다 一部分(일부분)을 더 주었나니 이는 내가 내 칼과 활로 아모리 族屬(족속)의 손에서 빼앗은 것이니라
    

21. Und Israel sprach zu Joseph: "Siehe," ich sterbe; und Gott wird mit euch sein und wird euch wiederbringen in das Land eurer Väter.
    
22. Ich habe dir ein Stück Land zu geben vor deinen "Brüdern," das ich mit Schwert und Bogen aus der Amoriter Hand genommen habe.
    

21. Then Israel said to Joseph, "I am about to die, but God will be with you and take you back to the land of your fathers.
    
22. And to you, as one who is over your brothers, I give the ridge of land I took from the Amorites with my sword and my bow."
