1. 여호수아가 이스라엘 모든 支派(지파)를 ^ㅅ세겜에 모으고 ^ㅇ이스라엘 長老(장로)들과 그 頭領(두령)들과 裁判長(재판장)들과 有司(유사)들을 부르매 ^ㅈ그들이 하나님 앞에 보인지라
   
2. 여호수아가 모든 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀에 옛적에 ^ㅊ너희 祖上(조상)들 곧 아브라함의 아비, 나홀의 아비 데라가 江(강) 저便(편)에 居(거)하여 ^ㅋ다른 神(신)들을 섬겼으나
   
3. ^ㅌ내가 너희 祖上(조상) 아브라함을 江(강) 저便(편)에서 이끌어내어 ^ㅍ가나안으로 引導(인도)하여 온 땅을 두루 行(행)하게 하고 그 씨를 蕃盛(번성)케 하려고 그에게 ^ㅎ이삭을 주었고
   
4. 이삭에게는 ^ㅏ야곱과 에서를 주었으며 ^ㅑ에서에게는 세일山(산)을 所有(소유)로 주었으나 ^ㅓ야곱과 그 子孫(자손)들은 애굽으로 내려갔으므로
   
5. ^ㅕ내가 모세와 아론을 보내었고 또 ^ㅗ애굽에 災殃(재앙)을 내렸나니 곧 내가 그 가운데 行(행)한 것과 같고 그 後(후)에 ^ㅛ너희를 引導(인도)하여 내었었노라
   

1. Josua versammelte alle Stämme Israels gen Sichem und berief die Ältesten von "Israel," die "Häupter," Richter und Amtleute. Und da sie vor Gott getreten "waren,"
   
2. sprach er zum ganzen Volk: So sagt der "HERR," der Gott Israels: Eure Väter wohnten vorzeiten jenseit des "Stroms," "Tharah," Abrahams und Nahors "Vater," und dienten andern Göttern.
   
3. Da nahm ich euren Vater Abraham jenseit des Stroms und ließ ihn wandern im ganzen Land Kanaan und mehrte ihm seinen Samen und gab ihm Isaak. {~}
   
4. Und Isaak gab ich Jakob und Esau und gab Esau das Gebirge Seir zu besitzen. Jakob aber und seine Kinder zogen hinab nach Ägypten.
   
5. Da sandte ich Mose und Aaron und plagte "Ägypten," wie ich unter ihnen getan habe.
   

1. Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges and officials of Israel, and they presented themselves before God.
   
2. Joshua said to all the people, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Long ago your forefathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the River and worshiped other gods.
   
3. But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the River and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants. I gave him Isaac,
   
4. and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I assigned the hill country of Seir to Esau, but Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt.
   
5. "'Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I afflicted the Egyptians by what I did there, and I brought you out.
   

6. 내가 너희 列祖(열조)를 애굽에서 引導(인도)하여 내어 ^ㅜ바다에 이르게 한즉 ^ㅠ애굽 사람이 兵車(병거)와 馬兵(마병)을 거느리고 너희 列祖(열조)를 紅海(홍해)까지 따르므로
   
7. ^으너희 列祖(열조)가 나 여호와께 부르짖기로 ^이내가 너희와 애굽 사람 사이에 黑暗(흑암)을 두고 ^ㅐ바다를 이끌어 그들을 덮었었나니 ^ㄱ내가 애굽에서 行(행)한 일을 너희가 目覩(목도)하였으며 또 너희가 ^ㄴ여러 날을 曠野(광야)에 居(거)하였었느니라
   
8. 내가 또 너희를 引導(인도)하여 요단 저便(편)에 居(거)하는 아모리 사람의 땅으로 들어가게 하매 ^ㄷ그들이 너희와 싸우기로 내가 그들을 너희 손에 붙이매 너희가 그 땅을 占領(점령)하였고 나는 그들을 너희 앞에서 滅絶(멸절)시켰으며
   
9. ^ㄹ때에 모압 王(왕) 십볼의 아들 발락이 일어나 이스라엘을 對敵(대적)하여 ^ㅁ사람을 보내어 브올의 아들 발람을 불러다가 너희를 詛呪(저주)케 하려 하였으나
   
10. ^ㅂ내가 발람을 듣기를 願(원)치 아니한 故(고)로 그가 오히려 너희에게 祝福(축복)하였고 나는 너희를 그 손에서 건져 내었으며
    

6. Darnach führte ich euch und eure Väter aus Ägypten. Und da ihr an das Meer kamt und die Ägypter euren Vätern nachjagten mit Wagen und Reitern ans "Schilfmeer," {~} {~}
   
7. da schrieen sie zum HERRN; der setzte eine Finsternis zwischen euch und die Ägypter und führte das Meer über "sie," und es bedeckte sie. Und eure Augen haben "gesehen," was ich an den Ägyptern 븐Ȼ 븐Ȼ ᅰɏ 鰠˂ 빸Ȼ 븰Ȼ 䀀 븰Ȼ ange Zeit.
   
8. Und ich habe euch gebracht in das Land der "Amoriter," die jenseit des Jordans wohnten; und da sie wider euch "stritten," gab ich sie in eure "Hände," daß ihr ihr Land "besaßet," und vertilgte sie vor euch her.
   
9. Da machte sich auf "Balak," der Sohn "Zippors," der Moabiter "König," und stritt wider Israel und sandte hin und ließ rufen "Bileam," den Sohn "Beors," daß er euch verfluchte.
   
10. Aber ich wollte ihn nicht hören. Und er segnete euch und ich errettete euch aus seinen Händen. {~}
    

6. When I brought your fathers out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.
   
7. But they cried to the LORD for help, and he put darkness between you and the Egyptians; he brought the sea over them and covered them. You saw with your own eyes what I did to the Egyptians. Then you lived in the desert for a long time.
   
8. "'I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land.
   
9. When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you.
   
10. But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
    

11. ^ㅅ너희가 요단을 건너 여리고에 이른즉 ^ㅇ여리고 사람과, 아모리 사람과, 브리스 사람과, 가나안 사람과, 헷 사람과, 기르가스 사람과, 히위 사람과, 여부스 사람들이 너희와 싸우기로 내가 그들을 너희의 손에 붙였으며
    
12. 내가 ^ㅈ王(왕)벌을 너희 앞에 보내어 그 아모리 사람의 두 王(왕)을 너희 앞에서 쫓아내게 하였나니 ^ㅊ너희 칼로나 너희 활로나 이같이 한 것이 아니며
    
13. 내가 또 너희의 受苦(수고)하지 아니한 땅과 ^ㅋ너희가 建築(건축)지 아니한 城邑(성읍)을 너희에게 주었더니 너희가 그 가운데 居(거)하며 너희가 또 自己(자기)의 심지 아니한 葡萄園(포도원)과 橄欖園(감람원)의 果實(과실)을 먹는다 하셨느니라
    
14. ^ㅌ그러므로 이제는 여호와를 敬畏(경외)하며 誠實(성실)과 眞正(진정)으로 그를 섬길 것이라 ^ㅍ너희의 列祖(열조)가 江(강) 저便(편)과 애굽에서 섬기던 神(신)들을 除(제)하여 버리고 여호와만 섬기라
    
15. ^ㅎ萬一(만일) 여호와를 섬기는 것이 너희에게 좋지 않게 보이거든 너희 列祖(열조)가 江(강) 저便(편)에서 섬기던 神(신)이든지 或(혹) 너희의 居(거)하는 땅 ^ㅏ아모리 사람의 神(신)이든지 ^ㅑ너희 섬길 者(자)를 오늘날 擇(택)하라 오직 ^ㅓ나와 내 집은 여호와를 섬기겠노라
    

11. Und da ihr über den Jordan gingt und gen Jericho "kamt," stritten wider euch die Bürger von "Jericho," die "Amoriter," "Pheresiter," "Kanaaniter," "Hethiter," "Girgasiter," Heviter und Jebusiter; aber ich gab sie in eure Hände.
    
12. Und sandte Hornissen vor euch her; die trieben sie aus vor euch "her," die zwei Könige der "Amoriter," nicht durch dein Schwert noch durch deinen Bogen.
    
13. Und ich habe euch ein Land "gegeben," daran ihr nicht gearbeitet "habt," und "Städte," die ihr nicht gebaut "habt," daß ihr darin wohnt und eßt von Weinbergen und "Ölbäumen," die ihr nicht gepflanzt habt.
    
14. So fürchtet nun den HERRN und dient ihm treulich und rechtschaffen und laßt fahren die "Götter," denen eure Väter gedient haben jenseit des Stroms und in "Ägypten," u븐Ȼ 븐Ȼ ᅰɏ 鰠˂ 빸Ȼ 븰Ȼ 䀀 븰Ȼ r=#000000>Gefällt es euch aber "nicht," daß ihr dem HERRN "dient," so erwählt euch "heute," wem ihr dienen wollt: den "Göttern," denen eure Väter gedient haben jenseit des "Stroms," oder den Göttern der "Amoriter," in deren Land ihr wohnt. Ich aber und mein Haus wollen dem HERRN dienen. {~} {~}
    

11. "'Then you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The citizens of Jericho fought against you, as did also the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites and Jebusites, but I gave them into your hands.
    
12. I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you--also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow.
    
13. So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.'
    
14. "Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
    
15. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
    

16. 百姓(백성)이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 여호와를 버리고 다른 神(신)들 섬기는 일을 우리가 決斷(결단)코 하지 아니하오리니
    
17. 이는 우리 하나님 여호와 그가 우리와 우리 列祖(열조)를 引導(인도)하여 애굽 땅 종 되었던 집에서 나오게 하시고 우리 目前(목전)에서 그 큰 異蹟(이적)들을 行(행)하시고 우리가 行(행)한 모든 길에서, 우리의 지난 모든 百姓(백성) 中(중)에서 우리를 保護(보호)하셨음이며
    
18. 여호와께서 또 모든 百姓(백성) 곧 이 땅에 居(거)하던 아모리 사람을 우리 앞에서 쫓아내셨음이라 그러므로 우리도 여호와를 섬기리니 그는 우리 하나님이심이니이다
    
19. 여호수아가 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 너희가 여호와를 能(능)히 섬기지 못할 것은 그는 ^ㅕ거룩하신 하나님이시요 ^ㅗ嫉妬(질투)하는 하나님이시니 ^ㅛ너희 허물과 罪(죄)를 赦(사)하지 아니하실 것임이라
    
20. ^ㅜ萬一(만일) 너희가 여호와를 버리고 異邦(이방) 神(신)들을 섬기면 너희에게 福(복)을 내리신 後(후)에라도 ^ㅠ돌이켜 너희에게 禍(화)를 내리시고 너희를 滅(멸)하시리라
    

16. Da antwortete das Volk und sprach: Das sei ferne von "uns," daß wir den HERRN verlassen und andern Göttern dienen!
    
17. Denn der "HERR," unser "Gott," hat uns und unsre Väter aus Ägyptenland "geführt," aus dem "Diensthause," und hat vor unsern Augen solche große Zeichen getan und uns behütet auf dem ganzen "Weg," den wir gezogen "sind," und unter allen "Völkern," durch welche wir gezogen "sind," {~} {~} {~}
    
18. und hat ausgestoßen vor uns her alle Völker der "Amoriter," die im Land wohnten. Darum wollen wir auch dem HERRN dienen; denn er ist unser Gott.
    
19. Josua sprach zu dem Volk: Ihr könnt dem HERRN nicht dienen; denn er ist ein heiliger "Gott," ein eifriger "Gott," der eurer Übertretungen und Sünden nicht schonen wird.
    
20. Wenn ihr aber den HERRN verlaßt und fremden Göttern "dient," so wird er sich wenden und euch plagen und euch "umbringen," nachdem er euch Gutes getan hat. {~}
    

16. Then the people answered, "Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
    
17. It was the LORD our God himself who brought us and our fathers up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
    
18. And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because he is our God."
    
19. Joshua said to the people, "You are not able to serve the LORD. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.
    
20. If you forsake the LORD and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you."
    

21. 百姓(백성)이 여호수아에게 말하되 아니니이다 우리가 丁寧(정녕) 여호와를 섬기겠나이다
    
22. 여호수아가 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 ^으너희가 여호와를 擇(택)하고 그를 섬기리라 하였으니 스스로 證人(증인)이 되었느니라 그들이 가로되 우리가 證人(증인)이 되었나이다
    
23. 여호수아가 가로되 그러면 이제 너희 中(중)에 있는
24. 百姓(백성)이 여호수아에게 말하되 우리 하나님 여호와를 우리가 섬기고 그 목소리를 우리가 聽從(청종)하리이다 한지라
    
25. 그 날에 여호수아가 세겜에서 百姓(백성)으로 더불어 ^ㅐ言約(언약)을 세우고 그들을 爲(위)하여 ^ㄱ律例(율례)와 法度(법도)를 베풀었더라
    

21. Das Volk aber sprach zu Josua: Nicht "also," sondern wir wollen dem HERRN dienen.
    
22. Da sprach Josua zum Volk: Ihr seid Zeugen über "euch," daß ihr den HERRN euch erwählt "habt," daß ihr ihm dient. Und sie sprachen: Ja.
    
23. So tut nun von euch die fremden "Götter," die unter euch "sind," und neigt euer Herz zu dem "HERRN," dem Gott Israels.
    
24. Und das Volk sprach zu Josua: Wir wollen dem "HERRN," unserm "Gott," dienen und seiner Stimme gehorchen.
    
25. Also machte Josua desselben Tages einen Bund mit dem Volk und legte ihnen Gesetze und Rechte vor zu Sichem.
    

21. But the people said to Joshua, "No! We will serve the LORD."
    
22. Then Joshua said, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the LORD." "Yes, we are witnesses," they replied.
    
23. "Now then," said Joshua, "throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel."
    
24. And the people said to Joshua, "We will serve the LORD our God and obey him."
    
25. On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he drew up for them decrees and laws.
    

26. ^ㄴ여호수아가 이 모든 말씀을 하나님의 律法冊(률법책)에 記錄(기록)하고 ^ㄷ큰 돌을 取(취)하여 거기 여호와의 聖所(성소) 곁에 있는 ^ㄹ상수리나무 아래 세우고
    
27. 모든 百姓(백성)에게 이르되 보라, ^ㅁ이 돌이 우리에게 證據(증거)가 되리니 이는 여호와께서 우리에게 하신 모든 말씀을 ^ㅂ이 돌이 들었음이라 그런즉 너희로 너희 하나님을 背叛(배반)치 않게 하도록 이 돌이 證據(증거)가 되리라 하고
    
28. ^ㅅ百姓(백성)을 보내어 各其(각기) 基業(기업)으로 돌아가게 하였더라
    
29. ^ㅇ이 일 後(후)에 여호와의 종 눈의 아들 여호수아가 一百(일백) 十歲(십세)에 죽으매
    
30. 무리가 그를 그의 基業(기업)의 境內(경내) ^ㅈ딤낫 세라에 葬事(장사)하였으니 딤낫 세라는 에브라임 山地(산지) 가아스山(산) 北(북)이었더라
    

26. Und Josua schrieb dies alles ins Gesetzbuch Gottes und nahm einen großen Stein und richtete ihn auf daselbst unter einer "Eiche," die bei dem Heiligtum des HERRN "war,"
    
27. und sprach zum ganzen Volk: "Siehe," dieser Stein soll Zeuge sein über "uns," denn er hat gehört alle Rede des "HERRN," die er uns geredet hat; und soll ein Zeuge über euch "sein," daß ihr euren Gott nicht verleugnet.
    
28. Also ließ Josua das Volk "gehen," einen jeglichen in sein Erbteil.
    
29. Und es begab sich nach dieser "Geschichte," daß "Josua," der Sohn "Nuns," der Knecht des "HERRN," "starb," da er hundertundzehn Jahre alt war.
    
30. Und man begrub ihn in der Grenze seines Erbteils zu "Thimnath-Serah," das auf dem Gebirge Ephraim liegt mitternachtwärts vom Berge Gaas. {~}
    

26. And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the LORD.
    
27. "See!" he said to all the people. "This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God."
    
28. Then Joshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance.
    
29. After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of a hundred and ten.
    
30. And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
    

31. ^ㅊ이스라엘이 여호수아의 사는 날 동안과 여호수아 뒤에 生存(생존)한 ^ㅋ長老(장로)들 곧 여호와께서 이스라엘을 爲(위)하여 行(행)하신 모든 일을 아는 者(자)의 사는 날 동안 여호와를 섬겼더라
    
32. 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 애굽에서 이끌어 낸 ^ㅌ요셉의 뼈를 세겜에 葬事(장사)하였으니 ^ㅍ이곳은 야곱이 세겜의 아비 하몰의 子孫(자손)에게 金(금) 一百個(일백개)를 주고 산 땅이라 그것이 요셉 子孫(자손)의 基業(기업)이 되었더라
    
33. 아론의 아들 엘르아살도 죽으매 무리가 그를 그 아들 ^ㅎ비느하스가 ^ㅏ에브라임 山地(산지)에서 받은 山(산)에 葬事(장사)하였더라
    

31. Und Israel diente dem "Herrn," solange Josua lebte und die "Ältesten," welche noch lange Zeit lebten nach "Josua," die alle die Werke des HERRN "wußten," die er an Israel getan hatte. {~}
    
32. Die Gebeine "Josephs," welche die Kinder Israel hatten aus Ägypten "gebracht," begruben sie zu Sichem in dem Stück "Feld," das Jakob kaufte von den Kindern "Hemors," des Vaters "Sichems," um hundert Groschen und das der Kinder Josephs Erbteil ward.
    
33. Eleasar, der Sohn "Aarons," starb "auch," und sie begruben ihn zu "Gibea," der Stadt seines Sohnes "Pinehas," die ihm gegeben war auf dem Gebirge Ephraim.
    

31. Israel served the LORD throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the LORD had done for Israel.
    
32. And Joseph's bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph's descendants.
    
33. And Eleazar son of Aaron died and was buried at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim.
