1. 스루야의 아들 요압이 ^ㅋ王(왕)의 마음이 압살롬에게로 向(향)하는 줄 알고
   
2. ^ㅌ드고아에 보내어 거기서 슬기있는 女人(녀인) 하나를 데려다가 이르되 請(청)컨대 너는 喪主(상주)된 것처럼 喪服(상복)을 입고 ^ㅍ기름을 바르지 말고 죽은 사람을 爲(위)하여 오래 슬퍼하는 女人(녀인) 같이 하고
   
3. 王(왕)께 들어가서 如此(여차) 如此(여차)히 말하라고 할 ^ㅎ말을 그 입에 넣어주니라
   
4. 드고아 女人(녀인)이 王(왕)께 告(고)할 때에 얼굴을 ^ㅏ땅에 대고 엎드려 가로되 ^ㅑ王(왕)이여, 도우소서
   
5. 王(왕)이 저에게 이르되 무슨 일이냐 對答(대답)하되 ^ㅓ나는 참 寡婦(과부)니이다 男便(남편)은 죽고
   

1. Joab "aber," der Zeruja "Sohn," "merkte," daß des Königs Herz war wider "Absalom,"
   
2. und sandte hin gen Thekoa und ließ holen von dort ein kluges Weib und sprach zu ihr: Trage Leid und zieh Trauerkleider an und salbe dich nicht mit "Öl," sondern stelle dich wie ein "Weib," das eine lange Zeit Leid getragen hat über einen Toten;
   
3. und sollst zum König hineingehen und mit ihm reden so und so. Und Joab gab ihr "ein," was sie reden sollte.
   
4. Und da das Weib von Thekoa mit dem König reden "wollte," fiel sie auf ihr Antlitz zur Erde und beugte sich nieder und sprach: Hilf "mir," König!
   
5. Der König sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir? Sie sprach: "Ach," ich bin eine "Witwe," und mein Mann ist gestorben.
   

1. Joab son of Zeruiah knew that the king's heart longed for Absalom.
   
2. So Joab sent someone to Tekoa and had a wise woman brought from there. He said to her, "Pretend you are in mourning. Dress in mourning clothes, and don't use any cosmetic lotions. Act like a woman who has spent many days grieving for the dead.
   
3. Then go to the king and speak these words to him." And Joab put the words in her mouth.
   
4. When the woman from Tekoa went to the king, she fell with her face to the ground to pay him honor, and she said, "Help me, O king!"
   
5. The king asked her, "What is troubling you?" She said, "I am indeed a widow; my husband is dead.
   

6. 아들 둘이 있더니 저희가 들에서 싸우나 말려 줄 사람이 아무도 없으므로 저가 이를 쳐 죽인지라
   
7. 온 族屬(족속)이 일어나서 王(왕)의 계집종 나를 逼迫(핍박)하여 말하기를 그 同生(동생)을 죽인 者(자)를 내어 놓으라 우리가 그 同生(동생) 죽인 罪(죄)를 갚아 저를 죽여 ^ㅕ嗣子(사자) 될것까지 끊겠노라 하오니 그러한즉 저희가 내게 남아 있는 숯불을 꺼서 내 男便(남편)의 이름과 ^ㅗ씨를 世上(세상)에 끼쳐두지 아니하겠나이다
   
8. 王(왕)이 女人(녀인)에게 이르되 네 집으로 가라 내가 너를 爲(위)하여 命令(명령)을 내리리라
   
9. 드고아 女人(녀인)이 王(왕)께 告(고)하되 내 主(주), 王(왕)이여 ^ㅛ그 罪(죄)는 나와 내 아비의 집으로 돌릴 것이니 王(왕)과 王位(왕위)는 허물이 없으리이다
   
10. 王(왕)이 가로되 누구든지 네게 말하는 者(자)를 내게로 데려 오라 저가 다시는 너를 건드리지도 못하리라
    

6. Und deine Magd hatte zwei "Söhne," die zankten miteinander auf dem "Felde," und da kein Retter "war," schlug einer den andern und tötete ihn.
   
7. Und "siehe," nun steht auf die ganze Freundschaft wider deine Magd und sagen: Gib her "den," der seinen Bruder erschlagen "hat," daß wir ihn töten für die Seele seines "Bruders," den er erwürgt "hat," und auch den Erben vertilgen; und wollen meinen Funken "auslöschen," der noch übrig "ist," daß meinem Mann kein Name und nichts Übriges bleibe auf Erden.
   
8. Der König sprach zum Weibe: Gehe "heim," ich will für dich gebieten.
   
9. Und das Weib von Thekoa sprach zum König: Mein Herr "König," die Missetat sei auf mir und meines Vaters Hause; der König aber und sein Stuhl sei unschuldig.
   
10. Der König sprach: Wer wider dich "redet," den bringe zu "mir," so soll er nicht mehr dich antasten.
    

6. I your servant had two sons. They got into a fight with each other in the field, and no one was there to separate them. One struck the other and killed him.
   
7. Now the whole clan has risen up against your servant; they say, 'Hand over the one who struck his brother down, so that we may put him to death for the life of his brother whom he killed; then we will get rid of the heir as well.' They would put out the only burning coal I have left, leaving my husband neither name nor descendant on the face of the earth."
   
8. The king said to the woman, "Go home, and I will issue an order in your behalf."
   
9. But the woman from Tekoa said to him, "My lord the king, let the blame rest on me and on my father's family, and let the king and his throne be without guilt."
   
10. The king replied, "If anyone says anything to you, bring him to me, and he will not bother you again."
    

11. 女人(녀인)이 가로되 請(청)컨대 王(왕)은 王(왕)의 하나님 여호와를 생각하사 ^ㅜ怨讐(원수) 갚는 者(자)로 더 죽이지 못하게 하옵소서 내 아들을 죽일까 두려워 하나이다 王(왕)이 가로되 ^ㅠ여호와의 사심을 가리켜 盟誓(맹서)하노니 ^으네 아들의 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
    
12. 女人(녀인)이 가로되 請(청)컨대 계집종을 容納(용납)하여 한 말씀으로 내 主(주), 王(왕)께 여쭙게 하옵소서 가로되 말하라
    
13. 女人(녀인)이 가로되 그러면 어찌하여 王(왕)께서 ^이하나님의 百姓(백성)에게 對(대)하여 이같은 圖謀(도모)를 하셨나이까 이 말씀을 하셨으니 王(왕)께서 罪(죄)있는 사람 같이 되심은 ^ㅐ그 내어 쫓긴 者(자)를 집으로 돌아오게 아니하심이니이다
    
14. 우리는 畢竟(필경) 죽으리니 ^ㄱ땅에 쏟아진 물을 다시 모으지 못함 같을 것이오나 하나님은 生命(생명)을 빼앗지 아니하시고 方策(방책)을 베푸사 ^ㄴ내어쫓긴 者(자)로 하나님께 버린 者(자)가 되지 않게 하시나이다
    
15. 이제 내가 와서 내 主(주), 王(왕)께 이 말씀을 여쭙는 것은 百姓(백성)들이 나를 두렵게 하므로 계집종이 스스로 말하기를 내가 王(왕)께 여쭈면 或時(혹시) 종의 請(청)하는 것을 施行(시행)하실 것이라
    

11. Sie sprach: Der König gedenke an den "HERRN," deinen "Gott," daß der Bluträcher nicht noch mehr Verderben anrichte und sie meinen Sohn nicht vertilgen. Er sprach: So wahr der HERR "lebt," es soll kein Haar von deinem Sohn auf die Erde fallen.
    
12. Und das Weib sprach: Laß deine Magd meinem Herrn König etwas sagen. Er sprach: Sage an!
    
13. Das Weib sprach: Warum bist du also gesinnt wider Gottes Volk? Denn da der König solches geredet "hat," ist er wie ein "Schuldiger," dieweil er seinen Verstoßenen nicht wieder holen läßt.
    
14. Denn wir sterben eines Todes und sind wie "Wasser," so in die Erde "verläuft," das man nicht aufhält; und Gott will nicht das Leben "wegnehmen," sondern bedenkt "sich," daß nicht das Verstoßene auch von ihm verstoßen werde.
    
15. So bin ich nun "gekommen," mit meinem Herrn König solches zu reden; denn das Volk macht mir bang. Denn deine Magd gedachte: Ich will mit dem König reden; vielleicht wird er "tun," was seine Magd sagt.
    

11. She said, "Then let the king invoke the LORD his God to prevent the avenger of blood from adding to the destruction, so that my son will not be destroyed." "As surely as the LORD lives," he said, "not one hair of your son's head will fall to the ground."
    
12. Then the woman said, "Let your servant speak a word to my lord the king." "Speak," he replied.
    
13. The woman said, "Why then have you devised a thing like this against the people of God? When the king says this, does he not convict himself, for the king has not brought back his banished son?
    
14. Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.
    
15. "And now I have come to say this to my lord the king because the people have made me afraid. Your servant thought, 'I will speak to the king; perhaps he will do what his servant asks.
    

16. 王(왕)께서 들으시고 나와 내 아들을 함께 ^ㄷ하나님의 産業(산업)에서 끊을 者(자)의 손에서 종을 救援(구원)하시리라 함이니이다
    
17. 계집종이 또 스스로 말하기를 내 主(주), 王(왕)의 말씀이 나의 慰勞(위로)가 되기를 願(원)한다 하였사오니 이는 내 主(주), 王(왕)께서 ^ㄹ하나님의 使者(사자)같이 善(선)과 惡(악)을 分揀(분간)하심이니이다 願(원)컨대 王(왕)의 하나님 여호와께서 王(왕)과 같이 계시옵소서
    
18. 王(왕)이 그 女人(녀인)에게 對答(대답)하여 이르되 내가 네게 묻는 것을 숨기지 말라 女人(녀인)이 가로되 내 主(주), 王(왕)은 말씀하옵소서
    
19. 王(왕)이 가로되 이 모든 일에 요압이 너와 함께 하였느냐 女人(녀인)이 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ^ㅁ내 主(주), 王(왕)의 사심을 가리켜 盟誓(맹서)하옵나니 무릇 내 主(주), 王(왕)의 말씀을 左(좌)로나 右(우)로나 옮길 者(자)가 없으리이다 王(왕)의 종 요압이 내게 命(명)하였고 ^ㅂ저가 이 모든 말을 王(왕)의 계집종의 입에 넣어주었사오니
    
20. 이는 王(왕)의 종 요압이 이 일의 形便(형편)을 變(변)하려 하여 이렇게 함이니이다 내 主(주), 王(왕)의 智慧(지혜)는 하나님의 使者(사자)의 智慧(지혜)와 같아서 땅에 있는 일을 다 아시나이다 하니라
    

16. Denn er wird seine Magd "erhören," daß er mich errette von der Hand "aller," die mich samt meinem Sohn vertilgen wollen vom Erbe Gottes.
    
17. Und deine Magd gedachte: Meines "Herrn," des "Königs," Wort soll mir ein Trost sein; denn mein "Herr," der "König," ist wie ein Engel "Gottes," daß er Gutes und Böses hören kann. Darum wird der "HERR," dein "Gott," mit dir sein. {~}
    
18. Der König antwortete und sprach zu dem Weibe: Leugne mir "nicht," was ich dich frage. Das Weib sprach: Mein "Herr," der "König," rede.
    
19. Der König sprach: Ist nicht die Hand Joabs mit dir in diesem allem? Das Weib antwortete und sprach: So wahr deine Seele "lebt," mein Herr "König," es ist nicht "anders," weder zur Rechten noch zur "Linken," denn wie mein "Herr," der "König," geredet hat. Denn dein Knecht Joab hat mir's "geboten," und er hat solches alles seiner Magd eingegeben;
    
20. daß ich diese Sache also wenden "sollte," das hat dein Knecht Joab gemacht. Aber mein Herr ist weise wie die Weisheit eines Engels "Gottes," daß er merkt alles auf Erden.
    

16. Perhaps the king will agree to deliver his servant from the hand of the man who is trying to cut off both me and my son from the inheritance God gave us.'
    
17. "And now your servant says, 'May the word of my lord the king bring me rest, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the LORD your God be with you.'"
    
18. Then the king said to the woman, "Do not keep from me the answer to what I am going to ask you." "Let my lord the king speak," the woman said.
    
19. The king asked, "Isn't the hand of Joab with you in all this?" The woman answered, "As surely as you live, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right or to the left from anything my lord the king says. Yes, it was your servant Joab who instructed me to do this and who put all these words into the mouth of your servant.
    
20. Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God--he knows everything that happens in the land."
    

21. 王(왕)이 요압에게 이르되 내가 이 일을 許諾(허락)하였으니 가서 少年(소년) 압살롬을 데려오라
    
22. 요압이 땅에 엎드려 절하고 ^ㅅ王(왕)을 爲(위)하여 福(복)을 빌고 가로되 내 主(주), 王(왕)이여 종의 求(구)함을 許諾(허락)하시니 종이 王(왕) 앞에서 恩惠(은혜) 받은 줄을 오늘날 아나이다 하고
    
23. 일어나 ^ㅇ그술로 가서 압살롬을 데리고 예루살렘으로 오니
    
24. 王(왕)이 가로되 저를 그 집으로 물러가게 하고 내 얼굴을 보지 말게 하라 하매 압살롬이 自己(자기) 집으로 가고 王(왕)의 얼굴을 보지 못하니라
    
25. 온 이스라엘 가운데 압살롬 같이 아름다움으로 크게 稱讚(칭찬) 받는 者(자)가 없었으니 저는 ^ㅈ발바닥부터 정수리까지 欠(흠)이 없음이라
    

21. Da sprach der König zu Joab: "Siehe," ich habe solches getan; so gehe hin und bringe den Knaben Absalom wieder.
    
22. Da fiel Joab auf sein Antlitz zur Erde und beugte sich nieder und dankte dem König und sprach: Heute merkt dein "Knecht," daß ich Gnade gefunden habe vor deinen "Augen," mein Herr "König," da der König "tut," was sein Knecht sagt.
    
23. Also macht sich Joab auf und zog gen Gessur und brachte Absalom gen Jerusalem.
    
24. Aber der König sprach: Laß ihn wider in sein Haus gehen und mein Angesicht nicht sehen. Also kam Absalom wieder in sein Haus und sah des Königs Angesicht nicht.
    
25. Es war aber in ganz Israel kein Mann so schön wie "Absalom," und er hatte dieses Lob vor allen; von seiner Fußsohle an bis auf seinen Scheitel war nicht ein Fehl an ihm.
    

21. The king said to Joab, "Very well, I will do it. Go, bring back the young man Absalom."
    
22. Joab fell with his face to the ground to pay him honor, and he blessed the king. Joab said, "Today your servant knows that he has found favor in your eyes, my lord the king, because the king has granted his servant's request."
    
23. Then Joab went to Geshur and brought Absalom back to Jerusalem.
    
24. But the king said, "He must go to his own house; he must not see my face." So Absalom went to his own house and did not see the face of the king.
    
25. In all Israel there was not a man so highly praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. From the top of his head to the sole of his foot there was no blemish in him.
    

26. 그 머리털이 무거우므로 年末(년말)마다 깎았으며 그 ^ㅊ머리털을 깎을 때에 달아본즉 王(왕)의 저울로 二百(이백) 세겔이었더라
    
27. ^ㅋ압살롬이 아들 셋과 딸 하나를 낳았는데 딸의 이름은 다말이라 얼굴이 아름다운 女子(녀자)더라
    
28. 압살롬이 이태 동안을 예루살렘에 있으되 王(왕)의 얼굴을 보지 못하였으므로
    
29. 요압을 王(왕)께 보내려 하여 사람을 보내어 부르되 오지 아니하고 또 다시 보내되 오지 아니하는지라
    
30. 압살롬이 그 종에게 이르되 보라, 요압의 밭이 내 밭 近處(근처)에 있고 거기 보리가 있으니 가서 불을 놓으라 압살롬의 종들이 그 밭에 불을 놓았더니
    

26. Und wenn man sein Haupt schor (das geschah gemeiniglich alle Jahre; denn es war ihm zu "schwer," daß man's abscheren "mußte)," so wog sein Haupthaar zweihundert Lot nach dem königlichen Gewicht.
    
27. Und Absalom wurden drei Söhne geboren und eine "Tochter," die hieß Thamar und war ein Weib schön von Gestalt.
    
28. Also blieb Absalom zwei Jahre zu "Jerusalem," daß er des Königs Angesicht nicht sah.
    
29. Und Absalom sandte nach "Joab," daß er ihn zum König sendete; und er wollte nicht zu ihm kommen. Er aber sandte zum andernmal; immer noch wollte er nicht kommen.
    
30. Da sprach er zu seinen Knechten: Seht das Stück Acker Joabs neben "meinem," und er hat Gerste darauf; so geht hin und steckt es mit Feuer an. Da steckten die Knechte Absaloms das Stück mit Feuer an.
    

26. Whenever he cut the hair of his head--he used to cut his hair from time to time when it became too heavy for him--he would weigh it, and its weight was two hundred shekels by the royal standard.
    
27. Three sons and a daughter were born to Absalom. The daughter's name was Tamar, and she became a beautiful woman.
    
28. Absalom lived two years in Jerusalem without seeing the king's face.
    
29. Then Absalom sent for Joab in order to send him to the king, but Joab refused to come to him. So he sent a second time, but he refused to come.
    
30. Then he said to his servants, "Look, Joab's field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire." So Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
    

31. 요압이 일어나 압살롬의 집으로 와서 압살롬에게 이르되 어찌하여 네 종들이 내 밭에 불을 놓았느냐
    
32. 압살롬이 요압에게 對答(대답)하되 내가 일찍 사람을 보내어 너를 이리로 請(청)한 것은 내가 너를 王(왕)께 보내어 告(고)하게 하기를 어찌하여 내가 그술에서 돌아오게 되었나이까 이때까지 거기 있는 것이 내게 나았으리이다 하려함이로다 이제는 네가 나로 王(왕)의 얼굴을 보게 하라 ^ㅌ내가 萬一(만일) 罪(죄)가 있으면 王(왕)이 나를 죽이시는 것이 可(가)하니라
    
33. 요압이 王(왕)께 나아가서 그 말을 告(고)하매 王(왕)이 압살롬을 부르니 저가 王(왕)께 나아가 그 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하매 王(왕)이 ^ㅍ압살롬과 입을 맞추니라
    

31. Da machte sich Joab auf und kam zu Absalom ins Haus und sprach zu ihm: Warum haben deine Knechte mein Stück mit Feuer angesteckt?
    
32. Absalom sprach zu Joab: "Siehe," ich sandte nach dir und ließ dir sagen: Komm "her," daß ich dich zum König sende und sagen lasse: Warum bin ich von Gessur gekommen? Es wäre mir "besser," daß ich noch da wäre. So laß mich nun das Angesicht des Königs sehen; ist aber eine Missetat an "mir," so töte mich.
    
33. Und Joab ging hinein zum König und sagte es ihm an. Und er rief "Absalom," daß er hinein zum König kam; und er fiel nieder vor dem König auf sein Antlitz zur "Erde," und der König küßte Absalom. {~}
    

31. Then Joab did go to Absalom's house and he said to him, "Why have your servants set my field on fire?"
    
32. Absalom said to Joab, "Look, I sent word to you and said, 'Come here so I can send you to the king to ask, "Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me if I were still there!" 'Now then, I want to see the king's face, and if I am guilty of anything, let him put me to death."
    
33. So Joab went to the king and told him this. Then the king summoned Absalom, and he came in and bowed down with his face to the ground before the king. And the king kissed Absalom.
