1. 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 ^ㅜ여호와께서 나를 보내어 王(왕)에게 기름을 부어 그 百姓(백성) 이스라엘 위에 王(왕)을 삼으셨은즉 이제 王(왕)은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
   
2. 萬軍(만군)의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 아말렉이 이스라엘에게 行(행)한 일 곧 애굽에서 나올 때에 ^ㅠ길에서 對敵(대적)한 일을 내가 追億(추억)하노니
   
3. 只今(지금) 가서 아말렉을 쳐서 그들의 모든 所有(소유)를 남기지 말고 ^으殄滅(진멸)하되 ^이男女(남녀)와 小兒(소아)와 젖먹는 아이와 牛羊(우양)과 약대와 나귀를 죽이라 하셨나이다
   
4. 사울이 百姓(백성)을 召集(소집)하고 그들을 들라임에서 計數(계수)하니 步兵(보병)이 二十萬(이십만)이요 유다 사람이 一萬(일만)이라
   
5. 사울이 아말렉城(성)에 이르러 골짜기에 伏兵(복병)하니라
   

1. Samuel aber sprach zu Saul: Der HERR hat mich "gesandt," daß ich dich zum König salbte über sein Volk Israel; so höre nun die Stimme der Worte des HERRN. {~}
   
2. So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich habe "bedacht," was Amalek Israel tat und wie er ihm den Weg "verlegte," da er aus Ägypten zog.
   
3. So zieh nun hin und schlage die Amalekiter und verbanne sie mit "allem," was sie haben; schone ihrer nicht sondern töte Mann und "Weib," Kinder und "Säuglinge," Ochsen und "Schafe," Kamele und Esel! {~} {~} {~} {~}
   
4. Saul ließ solches vor das Volk kommen; und er zählte sie zu Telaim: zweihunderttausend Mann Fußvolk und zehntausend Mann aus Juda.
   
5. Und da Saul kam zu der Amalekiter "Stadt," machte er einen Hinterhalt am Bach
   

1. Samuel said to Saul, "I am the one the LORD sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the LORD.
   
2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.
   
3. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
   
4. So Saul summoned the men and mustered them at Telaim--two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men from Judah.
   
5. Saul went to the city of Amalek and set an ambush in the ravine.
   

6. 사울이 ^ㅐ겐 사람에게 이르되 아말렉 사람 中(중)에서 떠나 내려가라 그들과 함께 너희를 滅(멸)하게 될까 하노라 이스라엘 모든 子孫(자손)이 애굽에서 올라올 때에 ^ㄱ너희가 그들을 善待(선대)하였느니라 이에 겐 사람이 아말렉 사람 中(중)에서 떠나니라
   
7. ^ㄴ사울이 ^ㄷ하윌라에서부터 애굽앞 ^ㄹ술에 이르기까지 아말렉 사람을 치고
   
8. 아말렉 사람의 王(왕) 아각을 사로잡고 ^ㅁ칼날로 그 모든 百姓(백성)을 殄滅(진멸)하였으되
   
9. ^ㅂ사울과 百姓(백성)이 아각과 그 羊(양)과 소의 가장 좋은 것 또는 기름진 것과 어린 羊(양)과 모든 좋은 것을 남기고 殄滅(진멸)키를 즐겨 아니하고 價値(가치) 없고 낮은 것은 殄滅(진멸)하니라
   
10. 여호와의 말씀이 사무엘에게 臨(임)하니라 가라사대
    

6. und ließ den Kenitern sagen: Geht "hin," weicht und zieht herab von den "Amalekiter," daß ich euch nicht mit ihnen aufräume; denn ihr tatet Barmherzigkeit an allen Kindern "Israel," da sie aus Ägypten zogen. Also machten sich die Keniter von den Amalekitern. {~} {~}
   
7. Da schlug Saul die Amalekiter von Hevila an bis gen "Sur," das vor Ägypten "liegt,"
   
8. und griff "Agag," der Amalekiter "König," "lebendig," und alles Volk verbannte er mit des Schwertes Schärfe.
   
9. Aber Saul und das Volk verschonten den "Agag," und was gute Schafe und Rinder und gemästet "war," und die Lämmer und "alles," was gut "war," und wollten's nicht verbannen; was aber schnöde und untüchtig "war," das verbannten sie.
   
10. Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu Samuel und sprach:
    

6. Then he said to the Kenites, "Go away, leave the Amalekites so that I do not destroy you along with them; for you showed kindness to all the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt." So the Kenites moved away from the Amalekites.
   
7. Then Saul attacked the Amalekites all the way from Havilah to Shur, to the east of Egypt.
   
8. He took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and all his people he totally destroyed with the sword.
   
9. But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs--everything that was good. These they were unwilling to destroy completely, but everything that was despised and weak they totally destroyed.
   
10. Then the word of the LORD came to Samuel:
    

11. ^ㅅ내가 사울을 세워 王(왕) 삼은 것을 後悔(후회)하노니 그가 돌이켜서 나를 좇지 아니하며 ^ㅇ내 命令(명령)을 이루지 아니하였음이니라 하신지라 사무엘이 근심하여 온 밤을 여호와께 부르짖으니라
    
12. 사무엘이 사울을 만나려고 아침에 일찌기 일어났더니 或(혹)이 사무엘에게 告(고)하여 가로되 사울이 ^ㅈ갈멜에 이르러 自己(자기)를 爲(위)하여 記念碑(기념비)를 세우고 돌이켜 行(행)하여 길갈로 내려 갔다 하는지라
    
13. 사무엘이 사울에게 이른즉 사울이 그에게 이르되 願(원)컨대 當身(당신)은 ^ㅊ여호와께 福(복)을 받으소서 내가 여호와의 命令(명령)을 行(행)하였나이다
    
14. 사무엘이 가로되 그러면 내 귀에 들어오는 이 羊(양)의 소리와 내게 들리는 소의 소리는 어찜이니이까
    
15. 사울이 가로되 그것은 무리가 아말렉 사람에게서 끌어 온 것인데 ^ㅋ百姓(백성)이 當身(당신)의 하나님 여호와께 祭祀(제사)하려 하여 羊(양)과 소의 가장 좋은 것을 남김이요 그 外(외)의 것은 우리가 殄滅(진멸)하였나이다
    

11. Es reut "mich," daß ich Saul zum König gemacht habe; denn er hat sich hinter mir abgewandt und meine Worte nicht erfüllt. Darob ward Samuel zornig und schrie zu dem HERRN die ganze Nacht.
    
12. Und Samuel machte sich früh "auf," daß er Saul am Morgen begegnete. Und ihm ward "angesagt," daß Saul gen Karmel gekommen wäre und hätte sich ein Siegeszeichen aufgerichtet und wäre umhergezogen und gen Gilgal hinabgekommen. {~} {~}
    
13. Als nun Samuel zu Saul "kam," sprach Saul zu ihm: Gesegnet seist du dem HERRN! Ich habe des HERRN Wort erfüllt.
    
14. Samuel antwortete: Was ist denn das für ein Blöken der Schafe in meinen Ohren und ein Brüllen der "Rinder," die ich höre?
    
15. Saul sprach: Von den Amalekitern haben sie sie gebracht; denn das Volk verschonte die besten Schafe und Rinder um des Opfers willen des "HERRN," deines Gottes; das andere haben wir verbannt.
    

11. "I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions." Samuel was troubled, and he cried out to the LORD all that night.
    
12. Early in the morning Samuel got up and went to meet Saul, but he was told, "Saul has gone to Carmel. There he has set up a monument in his own honor and has turned and gone on down to Gilgal."
    
13. When Samuel reached him, Saul said, "The LORD bless you! I have carried out the LORD'S instructions."
    
14. But Samuel said, "What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears? What is this lowing of cattle that I hear?"
    
15. Saul answered, "The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle to sacrifice to the LORD your God, but we totally destroyed the rest."
    

16. 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 가만히 계시옵소서 간 밤에 여호와께서 내게 이르신 것을 王(왕)에게 말하리이다 가로되 말씀하소서
    
17. 사무엘이 가로되 ^ㅌ王(왕)이 스스로 작게 여길 그 때에 이스라엘 支派(지파)의 머리가 되지 아니하셨나이까 여호와께서 王(왕)에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 王(왕)을 삼으시고
    
18. 또 王(왕)을 길로 보내시며 이르시기를 가서 罪人(죄인) 아말렉 사람을 殄滅(진멸)하되 다 없어지기까지 치라 하셨거늘
    
19. 어찌하여 王(왕)이 여호와의 목소리를 聽從(청종)치 아니하고 ^ㅍ奪取(탈취)하기에만 急(급)하여 여호와의 惡(악)하게 여기시는 것을 行(행)하였나이까
    
20. 사울이 사무엘에게 이르되 ^ㅎ나는 實(실)로 여호와의 목소리를 聽從(청종)하여 여호와께서 보내신 길로 가서 아말렉 王(왕) 아각을 끌어 왔고 아말렉 사람을 殄滅(진멸)하였으나
    

16. Samuel aber antwortete Saul: Laß dir "sagen," was der HERR mit mir geredet hat diese Nacht. Er sprach: Sage an! {~}
    
17. Samuel sprach: Ist's nicht also? Da du klein warst vor deinen "Augen," wurdest du das Haupt unter den Stämmen "Israels," und der HERR salbte dich zum König über Israel?
    
18. Und der HERR sandte dich auf den Weg und sprach: Zieh hin und verbanne die "Sünder," die "Amalekiter," und streite wider "sie," bis du sie vertilgst!
    
19. Warum hast du nicht gehorcht der Stimme des "HERRN," sondern hast dich zum Raub gewandt und übel gehandelt vor den Augen des HERRN?
    
20. Saul antwortete Samuel: Habe ich doch der Stimme des HERRN gehorcht und bin hingezogen des "Wegs," den mich der HERR "sandte," und habe "Agag," der Amalekiter "König," gebracht und die Amalekiter verbannt; {~}
    

16. "Stop!" Samuel said to Saul. "Let me tell you what the LORD said to me last night." "Tell me," Saul replied.
    
17. Samuel said, "Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The LORD anointed you king over Israel.
    
18. And he sent you on a mission, saying, 'Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.'
    
19. Why did you not obey the LORD? Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the LORD?"
    
20. "But I did obey the LORD," Saul said. "I went on the mission the LORD assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king.
    

21. 다만 ^ㅏ百姓(백성)이 그 마땅히 滅(멸)할 것 中(중)에서 가장 좋은 것으로 길갈에서 當身(당신)의 하나님 여호와께 祭祀(제사)하려고 羊(양)과 소를 取(취)하였나이다
    
22. 사무엘이 가로되 여호와께서 燔祭(번제)와 다른 祭祀(제사)를 그 목소리 順從(순종)하는 것을 ^ㅑ좋아하심 같이 좋아하시겠나이까 順從(순종)이 ^ㅓ祭祀(제사)보다 낫고 듣는 것이 수羊(양)의 기름보다 나으니
    
23. 이는 拒逆(거역)하는 것은 ^ㅕ邪術(사술)의 罪(죄)와 같고 頑固(완고)한 것은 邪神(사신) ^ㅗ偶像(우상)에게 절하는 罪(죄)와 같음이라 ^ㅛ王(왕)이 여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 ^ㅜ여호와께서도 王(왕)을 버려 王(왕)이 되지 못하게 하셨나이다
    
24. 사울이 사무엘에게 이르되 ^ㅠ내가 犯罪(범죄)하였나이다 내가 여호와의 命令(명령)과 當身(당신)의 말씀을 어긴 것은 내가 百姓(백성)을 두려워하여 그 말을 聽從(청종)하였음이니이다
    
25. 請(청)하오니 只今(지금) 내 罪(죄)를 赦(사)하고 ^으나와 함께 돌아가서 나로 여호와께 敬拜(경배)하게 하소서
    

21. Aber das Volk hat vom Raub "genommen," Schafe und "Rinder," das Beste unter dem "Verbannten," dem HERRN deinem "Gott," zu opfern in Gilgal.
    
22. Samuel aber sprach: Meinst "du," daß der HERR Lust habe am Opfer und Brandopfer gleich wie am Gehorsam gegen die Stimme des Herrn? "Siehe," Gehorsam ist besser denn "Opfer," und Aufmerken besser denn das Fett von Widdern;
    
23. denn Ungehorsam ist eine "Zaubereisünde," und Widerstreben ist Abgötterei und Götzendienst. Weil du nun des HERRN Wort verworfen "hast," hat er dich auch "verworfen," daß du nicht König seist. {~}
    
24. Da sprach Saul zu Samuel: Ich habe "gesündigt," daß ich des HERRN Befehl und deine Worte übertreten habe; denn ich fürchtete das Volk und gehorchte ihrer Stimme.
    
25. Und nun vergib mir die Sünden und kehre mit mir "um," daß ich den HERRN anbete.
    

21. The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the LORD your God at Gilgal."
    
22. But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
    
23. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king."
    
24. Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned. I violated the LORD'S command and your instructions. I was afraid of the people and so I gave in to them.
    
25. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the LORD."
    

26. 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 나는 王(왕)과 함께 돌아가지 아니하리니 이는 ^이王(왕)이 여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 ^ㅐ여호와께서 王(왕)을 버려 이스라엘 王(왕)이 되지 못하게 하셨음이니이다 하고
    
27. ^ㄱ사무엘이 가려고 돌이킬 때에 사울이 그의 겉옷자락을 붙잡으매 찢어진지라
    
28. 사무엘이 그에게 이르되 ^ㄴ여호와께서 오늘 이스라엘 나라를 王(왕)에게서 떼어서 王(왕)보다 나은 王(왕)의 이웃에게 주셨나이다
    
29. 이스라엘의 至尊者(지존자)는 ^ㄷ거짓이나 變改(변개)함이 없으시니 그는 사람이 아니시므로 決(결)코 變改(변개)치 않으심이니이다
    
30. 사울이 가로되 내가 犯罪(범죄)하였을지라도 請(청)하옵나니 ^ㄹ내 百姓(백성)의 長老(장로)들의 앞과 이스라엘의 앞에서 나를 높이사 ^ㅁ나와 함께 돌아가서 나로 當身(당신)의 하나님 여호와께 敬拜(경배)하게 하소서
    

26. Samuel sprach zu Saul: Ich will nicht mit dir umkehren; denn du hast des HERRN Wort "verworfen," und der HERR hat dich auch "verworfen," daß du nicht König seist über Israel.
    
27. Und als Samuel sich "umwandte," daß er "wegginge," ergriff er ihn bei einem Zipfel seines "Rocks," und er zerriß.
    
28. Da sprach Samuel zu ihm: Der HERR hat das Königreich Israel heute von dir gerissen und deinem Nächsten "gegeben," der besser ist denn du.
    
29. Auch lügt der Held in Israel "nicht," und es gereut ihn nicht; denn er ist nicht ein "Mensch," daß ihn etwas gereuen sollte.
    
30. Er aber sprach: Ich habe gesündigt; aber ehre mich doch jetzt vor den Ältesten meines Volks und vor Israel und kehre mit mir "um," daß ich den "HERRN," deinen "Gott," anbete.
    

26. But Samuel said to him, "I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you as king over Israel!"
    
27. As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe, and it tore.
    
28. Samuel said to him, "The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors--to one better than you.
    
29. He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind."
    
30. Saul replied, "I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me, so that I may worship the LORD your God."
    

31. 이에 사무엘이 돌이켜 사울을 따라가매 사울이 여호와께 敬拜(경배)하니라
    
32. 사무엘이 가로되 너희는 아말렉 사람의 王(왕) 아각을 내게로 이끌어 오라 하였더니 아각이 즐거이 오며 가로되 眞實(진실)로 死亡(사망)의 괴로움이 지났도다 하니라
    
33. 사무엘이 가로되 ^ㅂ네 칼이 女人(녀인)들로 無子(무자)케 한 것같이 女人(녀인) 中(중) 네 어미가 無子(무자)하리라 하고 그가 ^ㅅ길갈에서 여호와 앞에서 아각을 찍어 쪼개니라
    
34. 이에 사무엘은 ^ㅇ라마로 가고 사울은 ^ㅈ사울 기브아 本(본)집으로 올라가니라
    
35. ^ㅊ사무엘이 죽는 날까지 사울을 다시 가서 보지 아니하였으니 이는 ^ㅋ그가 사울을 爲(위)하여 슬퍼함이었고 ^ㅌ여호와께서는 사울로 이스라엘 王(왕) 삼으신 것을 後悔(후회)하셨더라
    

31. Also kehrte Samuel um und folgte Saul "nach," daß Saul den HERRN anbetete.
    
32. Samuel aber sprach: Laßt her zu mir bringen "Agag," der Amalekiter König. Und Agag ging zu ihm getrost und sprach: Also muß man des Todes Bitterkeit vertreiben.
    
33. Samuel sprach: Wie dein Schwert Weiber ihrer Kinder beraubt "hat," also soll auch deine Mutter der Kinder beraubt sein unter den Weibern. Also hieb Samuel den Agag zu Stücken vor dem HERRN in Gilgal.
    
34. Und Samuel ging hin gen Rama; Saul aber zog hinauf zu seinem Hause zu Gibea Sauls.
    
35. Und Samuel sah Saul fürder nicht mehr bis an den Tag seines Todes. Aber doch trug Samuel Leid um "Saul," daß es den HERRN gereut "hatte," daß er Saul zum König über Israel gemacht hatte.
    

31. So Samuel went back with Saul, and Saul worshiped the LORD.
    
32. Then Samuel said, "Bring me Agag king of the Amalekites." Agag came to him confidently, thinking, "Surely the bitterness of death is past."
    
33. But Samuel said, "As your sword has made women childless, so will your mother be childless among women." And Samuel put Agag to death before the LORD at Gilgal.
    
34. Then Samuel left for Ramah, but Saul went up to his home in Gibeah of Saul.
    
35. Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the LORD was grieved that he had made Saul king over Israel.
