1. 여호와의 櫃(궤)가 블레셋 사람의 地方(지방)에 있은지 일곱 달이라
   
2. 블레셋 사람이 祭司長(제사장)들과 ^ㅂ卜術者(복술자)들을 불러서 이르되 우리가 여호와의 櫃(궤)를 어떻게 할꼬 그것을 어떻게 本處(본처)로 보낼 것을 우리에게 가르치라
   
3. 그들이 가로되 이스라엘 神(신)의 櫃(궤)를 보내려거든 거저 보내지 말고 그에게 ^ㅅ贖愆祭(속건제)를 드려야 할지니라 그리하면 病(병)도 낫고 ^ㅇ그 손을 너희에게서 옮기지 아니하는 緣故(연고)도 알리라
   
4. 그들이 가로되 무엇으로 그에게 드릴 贖愆祭(속건제)를 삼을꼬 가로되 ^ㅈ블레셋 사람의 方伯(방백)의 數爻(수효)대로 ^ㅊ金毒種(금독종) 다섯과 金(금)쥐 다섯이라야 하리니 너희와 너희 方伯(방백)에게 내린 災殃(재앙)이 一般(일반)임이니라
   
5. 그러므로 너희는 너희 毒種(독종)의 形像(형상)과 땅을 害(해)롭게 하는 쥐의 形像(형상)을 만들어 ^ㅋ이스라엘 神(신)께 榮華(영화)를 돌리라 그가 或(혹) 그 ^ㅌ손을 너희와 ^ㅍ너희 神(신)들과 너희 땅에서 輕(경)하게 하실까 하노라
   

1. Also war die Lade des HERRN sieben Monate im Lande der Philister.
   
2. Und die Philister riefen ihre Priester und Weissager und sprachen: Was sollen wir mit der Lade des HERRN machen? Lehrt "uns," womit sollen wir sie an ihren Ort senden?
   
3. Sie sprachen: Wollt ihr die Lade des Gottes Israels "senden," so sendet sie nicht "leer," sondern sollt ihm vergelten ein Schuldopfer; so werdet ihr gesund werden und wird euch kund "werden," warum seine Hand nicht von euch läßt. {~}
   
4. Sie aber sprachen: Welches ist das "Schuldopfer," das wir ihm geben sollen? Sie antworteten: Fünf goldene Beulen und fünf goldene Mäuse nach der Zahl der fünf Fürsten der Philister; denn es ist einerlei Plage gewesen über euch alle und über eure Fürsten.
   
5. So müßt ihr nun machen Bilder eurer Beulen und eurer "Mäuse," die euer Land verderbt "haben," daß ihr dem Gott Israels die Ehre gebt; vielleicht wird seine Hand leichter werden über euch und über euren Gott und über euer Land. {~}
   

1. When the ark of the LORD had been in Philistine territory seven months,
   
2. the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners and said, "What shall we do with the ark of the LORD? Tell us how we should send it back to its place."
   
3. They answered, "If you return the ark of the god of Israel, do not send it away empty, but by all means send a guilt offering to him. Then you will be healed, and you will know why his hand has not been lifted from you."
   
4. The Philistines asked, "What guilt offering should we send to him?" They replied, "Five gold tumors and five gold rats, according to the number of the Philistine rulers, because the same plague has struck both you and your rulers.
   
5. Make models of the tumors and of the rats that are destroying the country, and pay honor to Israel's god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land.
   

6. ^ㅎ애굽人(인)과 ^ㅏ바로가 그 마음을 剛愎(강퍅)케 한 것같이 어찌하여 너희가 너희 마음을 剛愎(강퍅)케 하겠느냐 그가 그들 中(중)에서 奇異(기이)하게 行(행)한 後(후)에 ^ㅑ그들이 百姓(백성)을 가게 하므로 百姓(백성)이 떠나지 아니하였느냐
   
7. 그러므로 ^ㅓ새 수레를 만들고 ^ㅕ멍에 메어 보지 아니한 젖 나는 소 둘을 끌어다가 수레를 소에 메우고 그 송아지들은 떼어 집으로 돌려 보내고
   
8. 여호와의 櫃(궤)를 가져다가 수레에 싣고 贖愆祭(속건제) 드릴 ^ㅗ金(금) 寶物(보물)은 箱子(상자)에 담아 櫃(궤) 곁에 두고 그것을 보내어 가게 하고
   
9. 보아서 櫃(궤)가 그 本(본) 地境(지경) 길로 올라가서 ^ㅛ벧세메스로 가면 이 큰 災殃(재앙)은 그가 우리에게 내린 것이요 그렇지 아니하면 ^ㅜ우리를 친 것이 그 손이 아니요 偶然(우연)히 만난 것인 줄 알리라
   
10. 그 사람들이 그같이 하여 젖나는 소 둘을 끌어다가 수레를 메우고 송아지들은 집에 가두고
    

6. Warum verstockt ihr euer "Herz," wie die Ägypter und Pharao ihr Herz verstockten? Ist's nicht also: da er seine Macht an ihnen "bewies," ließen sie sie "fahren," daß sie hingingen?
   
7. So nehmet nun und machet einen neuen Wagen und zwei "junge," säugende "Kühe," auf die noch nie ein Joch gekommen "ist," und spannt sie an den Wagen und laßt ihre Kälber hinter ihnen daheim bleiben. {~}
   
8. Und nehmet die Lade des HERRN und legt sie auf den Wagen; und die goldenen "Kleinode," die ihr ihm zum Schuldopfer "gebet," tut in ein Kästlein neben ihre Seite. Und sendet sie hin und laßt sie gehen.
   
9. Und sehet zu: geht sie hin auf dem Weg ihrer Grenze gen "Beth-Semes," so hat er uns all das große Übel getan; wo "nicht," so werden wir "wissen," daß sein Hand uns nicht gerührt "hat," sondern es ist uns ungefähr widerfahren. {~}
   
10. Die Leute taten also und nahmen zwei "junge," säugende Kühe und spannten sie an den Wagen und behielten ihre Kälber daheim
    

6. Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When he treated them harshly, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?
   
7. "Now then, get a new cart ready, with two cows that have calved and have never been yoked. Hitch the cows to the cart, but take their calves away and pen them up.
   
8. Take the ark of the LORD and put it on the cart, and in a chest beside it put the gold objects you are sending back to him as a guilt offering. Send it on its way,
   
9. but keep watching it. If it goes up to its own territory, toward Beth Shemesh, then the LORD has brought this great disaster on us. But if it does not, then we will know that it was not his hand that struck us and that it happened to us by chance."
   
10. So they did this. They took two such cows and hitched them to the cart and penned up their calves.
    

11. 여호와의 櫃(궤)와 및 金(금)쥐와 그들의 毒種(독종)의 形像(형상)을 담은 箱子(상자)를 수레 위에 실으니
    
12. 암소가 ^ㅠ벧세메스 길로 바로 行(행)하여 ^으大路(대로)로 가며 갈 때에 울고 左右(좌우)로 치우치지 아니하였고 블레셋 方伯(방백)들은 벧세메스 境界(경계)까지 따라 가니라
    
13. 벧세메스 사람들이 골짜기에서 밀을 베다가 눈을 들어 櫃(궤)를 보고 그것의 보임을 기뻐하더니
    
14. 수레가 벧세메스 사람 여호수아의 밭 ^이큰 돌 있는 곳에 이르러 선지라 무리가 수레의 나무를 패고 그 소를 燔祭(번제)로 여호와께 드리고
    
15. 레위人(인)은 여호와의 櫃(궤)와 그 櫃(궤)와 함께 있는 金(금) 寶物(보물) 담긴 箱子(상자)를 내려다가 큰 돌 위에 두매 그 날에 벧세메스 사람들이 여호와께 燔祭(번제)와 다른 祭(제)를 드리니라
    

11. und legten die Lade des HERR auf den Wagen und das Kästlein mit den goldenen Mäusen und mit den Bildern ihrer Beulen.
    
12. Und die Kühe gingen geradewegs auf Beth-Semes zu auf einer Straße und gingen und blökten und wichen nicht weder zur Rechten noch zur Linken; und die Fürsten der Philister gingen ihnen nach bis an die Grenze von Beth-Semes. {~} {~} {~}
    
13. Die Beth-Semiter aber schnitten eben in der Weizenernte im "Grund," und hoben ihre Augen auf und sahen die Lade und freuten "sich," sie zu sehen.
    
14. Der Wagen aber kam auf den Acker "Josuas," des "Beth-Semiters," und stand daselbst still. Und war ein großer Stein daselbst. Und sie spalteten das Holz vom Wagen und opferten die Kühe dem HERRN zum Brandopfer.
    
15. Die Leviten aber hoben die Lade des HERRN herab und das "Kästlein," das obendran "war," darin die goldenen Kleinode "waren," und setzten sie auf den großen Stein. Aber die Leute zu Beth-Semes opferten dem HERRN desselben Tages Brandopfer und andere Opfer.
    

11. They placed the ark of the LORD on the cart and along with it the chest containing the gold rats and the models of the tumors.
    
12. Then the cows went straight up toward Beth Shemesh, keeping on the road and lowing all the way; they did not turn to the right or to the left. The rulers of the Philistines followed them as far as the border of Beth Shemesh.
    
13. Now the people of Beth Shemesh were harvesting their wheat in the valley, and when they looked up and saw the ark, they rejoiced at the sight.
    
14. The cart came to the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and there it stopped beside a large rock. The people chopped up the wood of the cart and sacrificed the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.
    
15. The Levites took down the ark of the LORD, together with the chest containing the gold objects, and placed them on the large rock. On that day the people of Beth Shemesh offered burnt offerings and made sacrifices to the LORD.
    

16. ^ㅐ블레셋 다섯 方伯(방백)이 이것을 보고 그 날에 에그론으로 돌아갔더라
    
17. 블레셋 사람이 여호와께 ^ㄱ贖愆祭(속건제)로 드린 金毒種(금독종)은 이러하니 아스돗을 爲(위)하여 하나요, 가사를 爲(위)하여 하나요, 아스글론을 爲(위)하여 하나요, 가드를 爲(위)하여 하나요, 에그론을 爲(위)하여 하나이며,
    
18. 드린 바 金(금)쥐는 ^ㄴ여호와의 櫃(궤)를 놓은 큰 돌에 이르기까지의 모든 堅固(견고)한 ^ㄷ城邑(성읍)과 시골 洞里(동리) 곧 다섯 方伯(방백)에게 屬(속)한 사람의 모든 城邑(성읍)의 數爻(수효)대로였더라 그 돌은 벧세메스 사람 여호수아의 밭에 오늘까지 있더라
    
19. ^ㄹ벧세메스 사람들이 여호와의 櫃(궤)를 들여다 본 故(고)로 그들을 치사 五萬(오만) 七十人(칠십인)을 죽이신지라 여호와께서 百姓(백성)을 쳐서 크게 殺戮(살륙)하셨으므로 百姓(백성)이 哀哭(애곡)하였더라
    
20. 벧세메스 사람들이 가로되 ^ㅁ이 거룩하신 하나님 여호와 앞에 누가 能(능)히 서리요 그를 우리에게서 뉘게로 가시게 할꼬 하고
    

16. Da aber die fünf Fürsten der Philister zugesehen "hatten," zogen sie wiederum gen Ekron desselben Tages.
    
17. Dies sind aber die goldenen "Beulen," die die Philister dem HERRN zum Schuldopfer gaben: Sadod "eine," Gaza "eine," Askalon "eine," Gath eine und Ekron eine;
    
18. und die goldenen Mäuse nach der Zahl aller Städte der Philister unter den fünf "Fürsten," der gemauerten Städte und der Dörfer. Und Zeuge ist der große "Stein," darauf sie die Lade des HERRN "ließen," bis auf diesen Tag auf dem Acker "Josuas," des Beth-Semiters.
    
19. Und etliche zu Beth-Semes wurden "geschlagen," darum daß sie die Lade des HERRN angesehen hatten. Und er schlug des Volks siebzig Mann (fünfzigtausendund siebzig). Da trug das Volk "Leid," daß der HERR so eine große Schlacht im Volk getan hatte. {~}
    
20. Und die Leute zu Beth-Semes sprachen: Wer kann stehen vor dem "HERRN," solchem heiligen Gott? Und zu wem soll er von uns ziehen?
    

16. The five rulers of the Philistines saw all this and then returned that same day to Ekron.
    
17. These are the gold tumors the Philistines sent as a guilt offering to the LORD--one each for Ashdod, Gaza, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron.
    
18. And the number of the gold rats was according to the number of Philistine towns belonging to the five rulers--the fortified towns with their country villages. The large rock, on which they set the ark of the LORD, is a witness to this day in the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh.
    
19. But God struck down some of the men of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the LORD had dealt them,
    
20. and the men of Beth Shemesh asked, "Who can stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?"
    

21. 使者(사자)들을 ^ㅂ기럇여아림 居民(거민)에게 보내어 가로되 블레셋 사람이 여호와의 櫃(궤)를 도로 가져왔으니 너희는 내려와서 그것을 너희에게로 옮겨 가라
    

21. Und sie sandten Boten zu den Bürgern Kirjath-Jearims und ließen ihnen sagen: Die Philister haben uns die Lade des HERRN wiedergebracht; kommt herab und holt sie zu euch hinauf.
    

21. Then they sent messengers to the people of Kiriath Jearim, saying, "The Philistines have returned the ark of the LORD. Come down and take it up to your place."
