Und da Aaron also redete zu der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder "Israel," wandten sie sich gegen die Wüste; und "siehe," die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erschien in einer Wolke.

So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt,

and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?"

Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD."

Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.'"

While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.

여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대

^ㅅ내가 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 怨望(원망)함을 들었노라 그들에게 告(고)하여 이르기를 너희가 ^ㅇ해 질 때에는 고기를 먹고 ^ㅈ아침에는 떡으로 배부르리니 나는 여호와 너희의 하나님인 줄 알리라 하라 하시니라

저녁에는 ^ㅊ메추라기가 와서 陣(진)에 덮이고 아침에는 ^ㅋ이슬이 陣(진) 四面(사면)에 있더니

그 이슬이 마른 後(후)에 曠野(광야) 地面(지면)에 작고 둥글며 서리 같이 細微(세미)한 것이 있는지라

^ㅌ이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되 이것이 ^ㅍ무엇이냐 하니 모세가 그들에게 이르되 ^ㅎ이는 여호와께서 너희에게 주어 먹게 하신 糧食(량식)이라

Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: {~}

Ich habe der Kinder Israel Murren gehört. Sage ihnen: Gegen Abend sollt ihr Fleisch zu essen haben und am Morgen von Brot satt "werden," und "innewerden," daß ich der "HERR," euer "Gott," bin. {~} {~}

Und am Abend kamen Wachteln herauf und bedeckten das Heer. Und am Morgen lag der Tau um das Heer her.

Und als der Tau weg "war," "siehe," da lag's in der Wüste rund und klein wie der Reif auf dem Lande. {~} {~}

Und da es die Kinder Israel "sahen," sprachen sie untereinander: Man hu? (Das heißt: Was ist das?); denn sie wußten nicht was es war. Mose aber sprach zu ihnen: es ist das "Brot," das euch der HERR zu essen gegeben hat.

The LORD said to Moses,

"I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.'"

That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.

When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.

When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.

여호와께서 이같이 命(명)하시기를 너희 各(각) 사람의 食糧(식량)대로 이것을 거둘지니 곧 너희 人數(인수)대로 每名(매명)에 ^ㅏ한 오멜씩 取(취)하되 各(각) 사람이 그 帳幕(장막)에 있는 者(자)들을 爲(위)하여 取(취)할지니라 하셨느니라

이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 그같이 하였더니 그 거둔 것이 많기도 하고 적기도 하나

오멜로 되어 본즉 ^ㅑ많이 거둔 者(자)도 남음이 없고 적게 거둔 者(자)도 不足(부족)함이 없이 各其(각기) 食糧(식량)대로 거두었더라

모세가 그들에게 이르기를 아무든지 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두지말라 하였으나

그들이 모세의 말을 聽從(청종)치 아니하고 더러는 아침까지 두었더니 ^ㅓ벌레가 생기고 냄새가 난지라 모세가 그들에게 怒(노)하니라

Das ist's "aber," was der HERR geboten hat: Ein jeglicher "sammle," soviel er für sich essen "mag," und nehme einen Gomer auf ein jeglich Haupt nach der Zahl der Seelen in seiner Hütte. {~}

Und die Kinder Israel taten also und "sammelten," einer "viel," der andere wenig.

Aber da man's mit dem Gomer "maß," fand der nicht "darüber," der viel gesammelt "hatte," und der nicht "darunter," der wenig gesammelt hatte; sondern ein jeglicher hatte "gesammelt," soviel er für sich essen mochte.

Und Mose sprach zu ihnen: Niemand lasse etwas übrig bis morgen.

Aber sie gehorchten Mose nicht. Und da etliche ließen davon übrig bis morgen; da wuchsen Würmer darin und es ward stinkend. Und Mose ward zornig auf sie.

This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.'"

The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.

And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed.

Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning."

However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.

무리가 아침마다 各其(각기) 食糧(식량)대로 거두었고 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면 그것이 스러졌더라

^ㅕ第(제) 六日(육일)에는 各(각) 사람이 갑절의 植物(식물) 곧 하나에 두 오멜씩 거둔지라 會衆(회중)의 모든 頭目(두목)이 와서 모세에게 告(고)하매

모세가 그들에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 來日(래일)은 休息(휴식)이니 여호와께 거룩한 ^ㅗ安息日(안식일)이라 너희가 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고, 그 나머지는 다 너희를 爲(위)하여 아침까지 看守(간수)하라

그들이 모세의 命(명)대로 아침까지 看守(간수)하였으나 ^ㅛ냄새도 나지 아니하고 벌레도 생기지 아니한지라

모세가 가로되 오늘은 그것을 먹으라 오늘은 여호와께 安息日(안식일)인즉 오늘은 너희가 그것을 들에서 얻지 못하리라

Sie sammelten aber alle "Morgen," soviel ein jeglicher für sich essen mochte. Wenn aber die Sonne heiß "schien," zerschmolz es.

Und des sechsten Tages sammelten sie des Brots "zwiefältig," je zwei Gomer für einen. Und alle Obersten der Gemeinde kamen hinein und verkündigten's Mose.

Und er sprach zu ihnen: Das "ist's," was der HERR gesagt hat: Morgen ist der Sabbat der heiligen Ruhe des HERRN; was ihr backen "wollt," das "backt," und was ihr kochen "wollt," das kocht; was aber übrig "ist," das lasset "bleiben," daß es behalten werde bis morgen.

Und sie ließen's bleiben bis "morgen," wie Mose geboten hatte; da ward's nicht stinkend und war auch kein Wurm darin.

Da sprach Mose: Esset das "heute," denn es ist heute der Sabbat des HERRN; ihr werdet's heute nicht finden auf dem Felde.

Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.

On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much--two omers for each person--and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.

He said to them, "This is what the LORD commanded: 'Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.'"

So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it.

"Eat it today," Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.

六日(육일) 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 第(제) 七日(칠일)은 安息日(안식일)인즉 그날에는 없으리라 하였으나

第(제) 七日(칠일)에 百姓(백성) 中(중) 더러가 거두러 나갔다가 얻지 못하니라

여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 어느 때까지 ^ㅜ너희가 내 誡命(계명)과 내 律法(률법)을 지키지 아니하려느냐

볼지어다 여호와가 너희에게 安息日(안식일)을 줌으로 第(제) 六日(육일)에는 이들 糧食(량식)을 너희에게 주는 것이니 너희는 各其(각기) 處所(처소)에 있고 第(제) 七日(칠일)에는 아무도 그 處所(처소)에서 나오지 말지니라

그러므로 百姓(백성)이 ^ㅠ第(제) 七日(칠일)에 安息(안식)하니라

Sechs Tage sollt ihr sammeln; aber der siebente Tag ist der "Sabbat," an dem wird nichts da sein.

Aber am siebenten Tage gingen etliche vom Volk "hinaus," zu "sammeln," und fanden nichts.

Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Wie lange weigert ihr "euch," zu halten meine Gebote und Gesetze?

Sehet, der HERR hat euch den Sabbat gegeben; darum gibt er euch am sechsten Tage zweier Tage Brot. So bleibe nun ein jeglicher in dem "Seinen," und niemand gehe heraus von seinem Ort des siebenten Tages.

Also feierte das Volk am siebenten Tage.

Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any."

Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?

Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out."

So the people rested on the seventh day.

이스라엘 族屬(족속)이 그 이름을 ^으만나라 하였으며 ^이깟씨 같고도 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 菓子(과자) 같았더라

모세가 가로되 여호와께서 이같이 命(명)하시기를 이것을 오멜에 채워서 너의 代代(대대) 後孫(후손)을 爲(위)하여 看守(간수)하라 이는 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 引導(인도)하여 낼 때에 曠野(광야)에서 너희에게 먹인 糧食(량식)을 그들에게 보이기 爲(위)함이니라 하셨다 하고

또 아론에게 이르되 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 ^ㅐ한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 너희 代代(대대)로 看守(간수)하라

아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 命(명)하신대로 그것을 ^ㄱ證據板(증거판) 앞에 두어 看守(간수)하게 하였고

이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 사람 사는 땅에 이르기까지 四十年(사십년) 동안 만나를 먹되 곧 ^ㄴ가나안 地境(지경)에 이르기까지 그들이 ^ㄷ만나를 먹었더라

Und das Haus Israel hieß es Man. Und es war wie Koriandersamen und weiß und hatte den Geschmack wie Semmel mit Honig.

Und Mose sprach: Das "ist's," was der HERR geboten hat: Fülle ein Gomer "davon," es zu behalten auf eure "Nachkommen," auf daß man sehe das "Brot," damit ich euch gespeist habe in der "Wüste," da ich euch aus Ägyptenland führte.

Und Mose sprach zu Aaron: Nimm ein Krüglein und tu ein Gomer voll Man darein und laß es vor dem "HERRN," daß es behalten werde auf eure Nachkommen.

Wie der HERR dem Mose geboten "hatte," also ließ es Aaron daselbst vor dem "Zeugnis," daß es behalten werde.

Und die Kinder Israel aßen Man vierzig "Jahre," bis daß sie zu dem Lande "kamen," da sie wohnen sollten; bis an die Grenze des Landes Kanaan aßen sie Man. {~}

The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.

Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'"

So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come."

As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.

The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan.
